Just a quick one shot where Lloyd has gone rogue and is a villain I guess. Enjoy :)
Italics in this story are used to show emphasis or in some cases mockery. Which one? You'll have to guess.
Lloyd is hasn't been seen for nearly 3 years after leaving the monastery. Nobody knows where he went, but after seeing him on the opposing side they know somethings going on. Kai goes to confront Lloyd on the base of the bounty, and finds out that he has become a "villain."
Kai slammed Lloyd into a wall, trying to knock some sense into him.
"Don't you see what you're doing? Don't you see what's happening?" Kai blurted, feeling the pain and anger swelling inside his chest. Lloyd's loose body let out a sigh.
"I do. But it's not very different to what was already happening when I was with you guys." He lifted his head slowly, and Kai saw his face tighten into a scowl. His forehead creased unnaturally and the bags under his eyes seemed to get bigger. The loose blonde hair that fell into his face was only showing just how much he had lost himself. "This… all of this was going to happen anyway." He put his hand up to right side of the bounty, where Ninjago city was being turned to rubble and ash. "I couldn't stop it, you can't stop it, nobody can. But you remember Master Wu's words right? Change can be good. And this change has cleared my head and made me realise what was going on." Lloyd stared off the rails of the bounty, his eyes darting from each explosions that ripped the buildings apart below.
"Shut up. We save lives Lloyd, and you used to as well. Don't run away, please. I understand what you feel. We'll listen this time, we won't-" Kai saw the anger sharply flood Lloyd's eyes after it was too late. He leapt at Kai, wrestling the knife out of his hands.
"You don't 'understand' anything. When I was chosen to the green ninja, I lost everything. You wanna know why? Because of that stupid prophecy. I was supposed to rule with my father! I was supposed to have a family, a life of being carefree and happy! You know what I got instead? A father that wants me dead and a mother who couldn't care less until Wu comes into picture." Kai tossed him off and smashing into the railing.
"Have you ever thought that you don't deserve a family?!" Kai screamed, losing his patience."We cared for you, trained you, raised you, and yet you're still the exact same as Garmadon himself!"
There was silence.
"Wait no-no I didn't mean to say that- I'm so sorry I-" Kai was cut off by Lloyd's laugh. It was cold, hollow, and sounded almost identical to his father's. Kai felt a shiver go down his spine.
"Oh no! The green ninjas go haywire! He's insane! He's exactly like his father!" Lloyd laughed. "Aw, you pathetic humans are all the same."
"You're half human. Don't say that."
"Too late." He swung the knife at Kai, before he grabbed Lloyd's wrist and held him in place.
"This isn't you Lloyd! You're the kindest, most heroic person I know!"
"Am I? Or is that the green ninja?" He kicks Kai's shins and watches as he tumbles onto the floor. "Am I anything other then being the green ninja? Am I good for anything else but being used?"
"Lloyd…I had no idea…" Kai looked up at him, looking for any sort of remorse or guilt in his eyes. But he only saw anger.
"Of course not. You're just here to help after all. Goodbye Kai."
Kai watched in horror as Lloyd jumped into the airship of his own and set the explosives on the Bounty, smiling as it slowly went down in flames and smashed into the rubble below.
