Right then, so I'm just going to cut to the chase: this is my first fanfiction ever and probably a strange one, but I've had this idea in my head for so long, so I thought: eh, why not? Plus, hopefully I'll get some feedback to improve my writing.

Anyways, if you've read the title and the summary, then I hope you'll know what to expect: without further ado, enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Godzilla and Kung Fu Panda. They belong to their respective owners.

"We knew the world would not be the same. A few people laughed; a few people cried. Most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad Gita; Vishnu is trying to persuade the prince that he should do his duty, and to impress him, takes on his multiarmed form and says, 'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds.' I suppose we all thought that, one way or another."

-Robert J. Oppenheimer

Hell. That would best describe the situation as of right now: hell.

It had been a few hours into the battle and yet already millions of lives had already perished. Unfortunately, that's the price you must pay when going into battle.

That is what General Kai, Supreme Warlord of all China, thought as he fought on the frontlines. He sometimes believed that he was a complete opposite to General Oogway: Oogway always seemed to be calm and reasonable, while Kai was always impatient with others and seemed to have a temper that could break with the drop of a hat. Yet despite all that, they cared for each other immensely: they were brothers-in-arms and the best of friends. After all…how do you think they're not getting a single scratch?

Kai would pierce his spear into one of the soldiers, before taking it out. He would look behind, seeing around a dozen more behind him.

"Thought that there would be at least some competition…" the yak would say, sounding disappointed. Sighing, the yak would suddenly jump up to the sky, shocking the ones down below. Confused on where the general had gone, they would try to find him, before he came down crashing on them with a giant BOOM!!!

Disorienting them a bit, Kai knew that now was his chance to strike: giving no time to the young soldiers, he would dash to each one, striking each one in the blink of an eye, before stopping to breathe. Once finished, he would notice his surroundings, seeing a small crater, while the poor fools bled to death.

"Fools." Kai would say, smiling with victory. He would begin to walk away to help his army and his brother-in-arms, before noticing something: charcoal-black rocks, with a very odd form, slowly floating on the salty water of the ocean.

Kai took one more glance at the rocks, before paying no attention to it anymore. Suddenly, he heard a cry in the distance. The yak thought it was just one of the soldiers falling victim to wounds, until he saw something unexpected: Oogway, his closest friend, with spears stuck into him.

Kai would be shocked…until in rage, he said: "No…NOOOOO!!!" Running as fast as he could, Kai would push any soldiers out of the way, own or rival. He could not let his only friend, his own BROTHER, to die like this: it can't, it mustn't!

While the yak would run away to save his friend, he would not notice a particular detail: the oddly shaped rocks, rapidly approaching the battle.

As the small creatures of the sea were minding their own business, they felt an odd presence rapidly approaching them. Immediately, they got out of the way, before a large creature, bigger than anything the world had ever seen, passed through and continued to go in his direction.

What they didn't know was that, and the majority of the small creatures on this planet, is that this being came from a bygone era: a time where the planet was ten times more radioactive than as of now. And he wasn't the only one: examples include a stout, armored, quadrupedal reptilian creature, a fearsome serpent with eight heads and eight tails, a giant black moth, a combination of a dog and a lion, and possibly some type of reptile, and much, much more. However, none of these have not been more powerful than this one, the Alpha Predator: Gojira.

He is the protector of this planet, and as long as he lives, he will defend it. Now, however, Gojira is on a mission: he felt something, two things in fact, that didn't sit right with him. He didn't know what it was, but he knew one thing: if not stopped, it would doom everything.

To say that things would now be bad to worse would be an understatement: it's now a bloody nightmare.

Many lives lost, almost no army, and a wounded general, who is close to death. But Kai will not allow that, he knows he can't.

"Men!" the Maker of Widows would yell to the remaining soldiers who have not been killed to get their attention. Once focused on him, Kai would give his order. "Use all your might to defend us from the threats! I shall try to find a way to save my brot- I mean, the general!"

"SIR YES SIR!" the soldiers would say before focusing onto the enemies and charging right into battle. Kai would grin: noble and proud…but too stubborn to realize that they won't make it. Ah well, at least Kai and Oogway will make it out ali-

Suddenly, all living creatures, injured or not, would notice a wave rapidly approaching the battlefield, pushing away the dead bodies. Thankfully, it didn't reach the others, so that was good: but they soon realized that it wasn't the thing they should focus on.

Out of the water, an immense figure slowly began to rise out of the water. At first, the onlookers thought it was just a big rock: until it slowly continued to increase…and increase…and increase until it finally stopped.

Everything seemed dead quiet just for a moment: it seemed as if nothing had ever happened…until a low, yet powerful growling noise seemed to emanate from the supposed "rock".

Kai was, for once in his life, lost for words: what even was this thing? It was just unbelievable what he was seeing. Until he noticed something familiar: the same oddly formed rocks on the back of this…thing.

Wait…the yak thought. If those rocks came here, yet it's not facing forward, then that means-

Suddenly, everything all made sense as soon as a foot came down, with a loud stomp.

At that moment, everyone knew what it actually was. And slowly, they started to make some more observations.

Two muscular arms with clawed, four-fingered hands.

Two massive legs with powerful flour-clawed feet.

A tail that seemed endless, with small spikes running along its top.

A head that looked like a crocodile, with a jaw lined with daggers like teeth.

And two burning orange eyes, that seemed to have such wisdom and power that nothing could match.

"What…in China…is that?" Kai would say, shocked in disbelief. He's seen some strange stuff, but this…this is not what he was expecting to ever experience in his life.

As if it heard him, the creature would stare directly at Kai. Kai would hold his breath for a moment. For a while, there was only silence…when finally, seemingly angered, the massive creature would slam one of its feet down onto the rough surface of the sand. He would rear back slightly, before leaning forward, opening his jaws, letting out the loudest roar ever heard: a deep, booming roar combined with the ferocity of an old king, wishing for those to submit. It seemed to go on forever until finally it would stop to a conclusion.

The beast would immediately walk towards Kai, ignoring the dead bodies on the ground. Kai would be frightened, not knowing what to do, especially with Oogway badly injured. Just as he thought of something, a spear was thrown directly onto one of the creature's legs. Annoyed, it would look back to see what had happened. Kai looked in his direction, before seeing the remaining soldiers, own and rival, throwing their spears into anything that could hurt the massive beast.

Kai, surprised but welcomed, used this opportunity to run away with Oogway still in his hands. Hopefully he would have enough time to save Oogway…and himself from whatever that thing was.

The last thing he heard before running as fast as he could was a loud stomp, ending the lives of more souls.

…well, quite a prologue, am I right?

Well then, what do you guys think? Do you like it, hate it, think that there should be some improvements? If there are, let me know!

Hopefully you can recognize some of the kaiju I mentioned at one point…

Anyways, peace!
