Stepping through the rift, I found myself in a garage. Looking around, I saw Steve and Natasha looking down at me from the railing above. Looking to my side, I watched as someone landed next to me, using mechanical wings. Looking the other way, I watched as Wanda walked over to me while someone landed heavily next to me, where someone floated behind me.

I could feel the soul mind stone coming from them, and it was annoying to feel it. I take it that you are here to pick me up? Wanda asked, with me looking at her as she walked over and kissed my cheek.

Yes, as well as this. I said as I held my hand out to the mind stone, where runes appeared around them for a split second. There, now the soul stone won't be able to be tracked easily. I said as I looked at the her. Luz also learned that there were humans who lived on the boiling isles before her. I said as I opened a rift behind me and waited for her to step through.

"Question." The one with the mind stone asked. "You speak as if you know what this is." He said, with me nodding.

"I do, and that is for me to know the true purpose of." I said as I didn't want to get into the other five stones. "Just know that there are more and they are all dangerous on their own." I said, with Wanda stepping through the rift. "Keep up the good work on protecting earth!" I said as I stepped through the rift slowly. "Captain, I leave my introduction to you!" I said as I left, knowing that the others didn't know who I was.

Later, Wanda's POV

Walking into Luz's room, I saw that she was still in her pajamas, looking at a skull mouse that was in a cage. Dakota told me that she got it while looking for a diary of a Philip something, a human who once lived here. According to Dakota, Eda is a descendent of theirs. Learning about that shocked the Clawthorne family. They never knew.

"Oh, little echo mouse. You ate the diary that can get me home. Can't you cough up a teeny bit?" Luz said, with me looking at her with a confused expression as I didn't know what she was talking about.

"Just squeeze it out!" King said, with me looking at he as he grunts as he squeezes his teddy bear so hard, the head pops off.

"Maybe just need to be patient?" I suggested, with Luz looking at me, gasping with an expression that yelled Joy to the World.

She ran over and hugged me, making me smile at her antics. "Please tell me about your trip!?" Luz asked as she looked up at me, making me laugh at her desire.

"Hey, knucklehead. You're gonna be late for school!" Eda said, with me looking at her as she was wearing a coat over her dress. Luz was too focused on me to care. "Alright. I guess you won't be getting a magic staff with your classmates." Eda said, with me looking at her with a raised eyebrow as that sounded fun, and interesting.

Luz zooms out of the room, gets dressed for school and was waiting at the front door. "Come on, Eda. We gotta fly!" Luz said, more excited about that than me returning.

"There we go." Eda said as she walks out the door with Dakota, who was dressed up as well. "What are you doing?" Eda asked him, where he just smiled, grew wings and flew off in the direction of the school. "That boy, I swear!" Eda said as she narrowed her eyes. "Wanda, you ok playing with King while we're away?" She asked, with me nodding as In was ok with that. Luz quickly follows after and shuts the door behind them.

"Ok, King! Let's play, King of the Castle!" I called out, with Hooty extending his neck into the house, knocking me over.

"I WANT TO PLAY!?"

"YOU WILL ALL BOW BEFORE ME!?"

Later, Dakota's POV

Standing next to Eda and Bump at the grudgby field, several students had gathered as a large object rests in front of them.

"Greetings, Principal Bump. How are you today?" I asked as he turned to face me.

"Oh, Dakota, Eda. I am well, and it was a wonderful idea to ask the Bat Queen about allowing the Palismen to get Adopted." He said, with Eda waving him off.

Oh, it only makes sense seeing as it's getting harder to find palistrom trees. Eda said with a smile as we faced the kids.

"Good tidings on this momentous day." Bump said, with everyone looking at him. "You're all about to receive your witches' staffs and, more importantly, meet your palisman. This is a crucial step in your magical development. Palismen are lifelong partners. They can be both your good friends and a powerful tool. In my case!" Bump said as he snaps his fingers and his Palismen, Frewin, opens his eyes, jumps off his head and turns into a staff, revealing Bump's body length black hair and the scar on his right eye, his left one closed. "Frewin here, helps me see." He informed, shocking the class.

"Now, traditionally, young witches carve their staffs from the branch of an old palistrom tree." Eda said, where I stepped forward.

"But sadly, palistrom trees are becoming more rare. And those that remain are guarded covetously." I informed as I looked at Luz as I knew what was going to happen.

"That's why we've teamed up with Bumpy-poo."

"Never call me that."

"to bring you!" Eda said as we turned to see The Bat Queen flies down and lands on the object.

"Palisman adoption day!" The Bat Queen said as she held her wings out, where a door opens on the object, a nest of sorts, and several palismen emerge from it.

"They're so cute!" Luz said, with me looking at the small red cardinal.

"Thanks for the favor, BQ. Here's your whistle back." Eda said as she walked over and held the whistle out to her.

"Save it for another time. This was my pleasure. What a wonderful idea." Bat Queen said as she shook her head.

The red cardinal, escaping the shelter, was picking at the ground, where I picked him up. "Hey buddy, it's been a while." I said as I pet his back, looking at his scar over his eye. "You're staying right here for now." I said as I placed him back where he belonged.

"Aw. Little rascal!" Luz said as she watched me.

"I don't believe that you two have met before." The Bat Queen said as she looked at us, then the students. "These little ones have not had homes in many years. They want to feel a connection. Kneel and state your deepest wish, and your like-minded partner will find you." She said, with me looking at them.

"Ugh. I want my own palisman, not some trashy hand-me-down." The one three eyed Queen B said as she crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.

"Your loss!" Willow said, beating me to it as she shoved her out of the way as she runs up to the nest. "I want to be strong and wise to protect everyone I love. And if anyone gets in my way, they'll feel the sting of defeat." Willow said with a smile, making a fist to show her dedication.

"Tender yet tenacious. Clover gives her support." Bat Queen said, with a bee-like palisman flying out of the shelter and over to Willow.

"Oh!" Willow said in exclamation as Clover transforms into a staff. "Oh, my gosh! I'm gonna take such good care of you!" Willow said as she hugged the staff.

"Beautiful. Just beautiful." Gus said as he watched Willow interact with her Palisman.

"Outta my way!" The girl from before yelled as she shoved Willow away. "I want to play professional grudgby!" She said with a fire in her eyes.

"A competitive spirit." The bat Queen said with a chuckle. "Maya will be thrilled." She added as a crab palisman hops up to the girl and becomes her staff.

"Okay. This is pretty cool." The girl said while blushing.

"I want to open my own veterinary clinic for mythical pets." Another girl said as she walked over to the palismen, where a manticore palisman rises and becomes her staff. "All right!" She cheered, chuckling.

"Dad wants me to become a master illusionist, but that's easy. So instead, I'll become an ambassador to the Human Realm and re-establish contact with the giraffes!" Gus said, where I raised an eyebrow at that as I had no idea what he was talking about. A blue chameleon palisman climbs up to Gus and becomes his staff.

"I just want to make it to graduation." A Spike Headed Student said, where a sloth palisman starts hanging on his arm, which turns into his staff. "Yes!" He cheered with a laugh.

Everyone watched as Luz walks up to them, with me crossing my arms. "I want to be a witch!" She declared, but none of the palismen approached her. "Uh... probably just takes a little longer 'cause I'm a human, right?" Luz said as she looked at us.

"Palismen bond through emotion. I do not sense any conviction from you." Bat Queen said, with Luz looking shocked.

"That's impossible. I'm Luz, I'm chock full of conviction!" Luz said, with me walking over and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Perhaps specificity would help." Bump said as he walked over as well.

"There are many kinds of witches. What do you hope to accomplish with your magic?" I said, knowing that wasn't what she wanted most of all.

"Oh, uh... get home to my mom?" Luz said, making me frown as that was just getting to the stem of the problem, she just needed to reach the root, her acceptance.

"Would you still train to be a witch in the Human Realm?" Gus pointed out, with me knowing that she wouldn't be able to use magic there.

"Can you even do magic there?" The three eyed girl asked sarcastically.

"Huh, I guess I never thought that far ahead." Luz said nervously.

"You okay, Luz?" Eda asked, worried about Luz as she didn't know what she wanted to do with her life. It was a hard question, and a harder choice for someone like her. I started leading both of them over to the bleachers, with me sitting her down while I knelt down in front of her, Eda sitting next to her.

"Is there... something wrong with me? Am I not able to get a palismen of my own?" Luz asked, her voice was a stuttering whisper, uncertain yet unafraid of the answer.

"No, Luz." I said as I shook my head. "You will one day have one of your own, but they saw you as unsure of yourself." I said as I looked back at them.

"I couldn't adopt a palisman today. I don't belong here." She said as she lowered her head in defeat, with Eda placing a hand on her back.

"Luz, palismans are not merely companions. They are reflections of a soul's true essence, a bond formed through understanding oneself. Your disappointment stems not from a lack of destiny, but from the journey you have yet to complete." Eda explained, with Luz looking up at her.

"You seek a palisman to know what you want to be, but what you seek goes deeper than that. It is not about the role you choose in life, but the person you grow to become." I said as she turned to look at me. I stood up, looking at the others. "Time is not an enemy, but a path to tread. With each step, you learn, you change, you become. Your palisman will find you when you are ready, when you know not just your dreams, but your heart." I said as I placed a hand over my heart, looking down at her.

Luz nodded slowly, the weight on her chest lifting ever so slightly. "So, I just need to... keep going?" She asked, with me nodding.

"Yes, keep going, keep growing. Do not rush to the end of your story, for it is in the journey that the pages are filled." I said, smiling at her as it would be a while before she go her palismen, and it would be a glorious day.

"Thank you." Luz said, a newfound determination in her voice as she stood up and hugged me, one I returned.

"Now, how about we ditch these nerds and go have some real fun?" Eda suggested, with Luz smiling at that.

"Another time, I have some things to do." I said as I waved them off, leaving them to set up my trap.

Later, Wanda's POV

Walking down the Hall, I saw Eda and King leaning against Luz's Door. Walking over, I decided to join them. "I stayed here because I wanted to learn magic, right?" Luz questioned herself. She was having a hard time coming to terms with the Palismen Adoption Day. "I wanted to be a witch like Eda, Wanda, and Azura. But what does that even mean?" She said, making me frown as she wasn't like us. "And I read and hear of stories like this. The main character always has to return home, and what? Did I expect to be a witch back in Connecticut?" She said, with me wondering if she could use her glyphs back home. "Yeah, I wouldn't want to be my palisman either." I heard her complain, with the three of us sharing a look before leaving.

"We have the same idea, right?" Eda asked as she grabbed her staff.

"Breaking into the gardening club?" King asked as he climbed onto Eda's back as we stepped outside.

"Stealing a branch so Luz can craft her own Palismen?" I finished as we took off, where I used my powers to levitate myself next to Eda and King.

"That's the plan." The three of us said as one.

Later, Dakota's POV

Lying inside the nest of Plaismen, I let them lay on top of me, some even inside my cloak to keep warm. Hearing the door open, I looked up and saw Luz opening the door to let the red cardinal in, waking all the other palismen inside. She stopped cold once she saw me. "Sup!" I said, holding a hand up to greet her.

"Dakota? What are you doing here?" Luz asked as she climbed in and closed the door behind her.

"I'm on guard duty for these little guys." I said as I laid back down. "So, I take it Flapjack brought you here?" I asked, with her looking at the red cardinal.

"I guess." She said as she laid down next to me, the palismen laying next to her as well. This brought a smile to her face. "All right. I'm not leaving here until I figure out what my future is, and one of you becomes my palisman!" She said as she started thinking. "What if... I use my powers to become a popular magician back in the Human Realm? No, I'm horrible at card tricks." She said before she picks up flapjack and looks at him. "What if... I stay on the Boiling Isles, and become a rugged bounty hunter? Nah, I'm too lovable." She said as she set him down.

'This is going to be a while.' I thought as I closed my eyes.

Later

Feeling a sudden shake, I sat up and moved the palismen off of me as I moved over to the door. Opening it, I looked up as it started to rise up.

"Hey, we're a little busy in... here?" Luz said as she poked her head up from over me, where she let out a small gasp. We look up to see that an airship is now carrying us.

"I think we're being kidnapped!" Luz told the palismen, where they start whimpering and shivering in fear.

"Don't worry, we got this!" I said as I grew my wings and jumped out with Luz, who screamed at the sudden action. I flew us up to the airship, where we see the Golden Guard steering. Landing, I crossed my arms as Luz narrowed her eyes.

"Ugh, him again." She whispered, with me looking at her.

"You should totally sneak up on him." I suggested, with her nodding and starts to approach him. Once she was behind the Golden Guard, she slaps a fire glyph on his back. The Golden Guard screams as he rockets off of the airship.

"He'll be fine. Okay, how do I land this thing?" Luz asked as I walked over to her.

"Oh, you just pull that cord above your head." The Golden guard said as he was already back on the ship.

"Thank y— eh?" Luz said, surprised to see him back already.

"Hi." He said, where he prepared to fire a spell at Luz, but stopped once he saw me. I grinned at him, watching as he flinched. Before he could fly away, I took his staff away. "Give that back!?" He yelled as I held it up, where he jumped up to try to get it.

"Good to see you again, Golden Boy." I said, where he kicked my leg.

"That is the Golden Guard!" He yelled, with me nodding.

"Right." I said as I placed it to my side as Luz backed away. "Anyways, I've been waiting for you." I said, surprising them both.

"Why are you stealing palismen, Golden Guard?" Luz questioned as she got between us.

"You should be more concerned about yourself. For the crime of rocketing me off my own ship, you'll be locked in the dingiest cell in the Conformatorium, for the rest of your sad little life." The Golden Guard threatened, making me grin at that.

"Whatever. I already broke out of there like, twice." Luz said, with me nodding as I had yet to do it.

"Then we'll just zap you to dust and throw you into the sea. That better?" He asked as he changed his threat.

"I could always kill you over and over again." I said, watching him stiffen up again. "Thought so." I said as I placed a hand on his head. Suddenly, a hand dragon lands on the airship and roars.

"What is that?" Luz questioned as she pointed at it.

"That is what is after the Golden Boys head." I said, where they both turned to face me.

The dragon proceeds to rip the airship's balloon, causing us to fall from the sky. Luz and the Golden Guard both scream as the airship crashes, with me picking them both up and extending my wings, saving us from the crash.

Flapjack chirps as he flys over to us, landing on my head as I set us down. "Huh? Little rascal?" Luz asked as she picked him up off my head as I set them down.

"Thank you, I guess." The Golden Guard said as he looked at me, and then the wreckage.

"The palismen are alright, for now." I said as I started walking over to a rock, where we watched as Kikimora and her guards showed up, collecting the palismen. "She is after your head, and if you don't do as I say, it will cost you your lives." I told them as I looked at Luz and the Golden Guard.

"We found the palismen. They seem rattled but unharmed." A guard said, with us looking over at them, watching Kikimora and the Guard Captain talk.

"Very good, Captain. Return to the city and prepare them for travel." Kikimora said, her hands behind her back.

"Is it true, ma'am? Is the Golden Guard really..."

"Yes, the Golden Guard is no more." Kikimora interrupted, looking away from her as she spoke, where Guard gasps. "Such a horrible accident." She said as she shakes her head. "Probably caused by the incompetent pilot." She added, with me looking at the Golden Guard as she spoke.

"I'll... alert the castle. Scouts! To Latissa!" The guard ordered, where they started leaving.

Once alone, Kikimora blows on a whistle, summoning the same dragon that caused the ship to crash. "Excellent work, my pet." She said, where Luz gasps. "Now, find the him and have yourself a nice little snack. I'll call for you soon." She said before leaving.

I took off his mask, shocking him as I threw it far from us, causing a sound that drew the dragon away. "Hey!?" He yelled, where I grabbed his arm and started dragging him away.

"You look like you could be a student at Hexside." Luz said as she looked at his face as we walked.

"Listen." I said, where they both looked at me. "You are not a bad person at heart, and I do not like you because of how your soul once looked. But Kikimora is trying to kill you and unfortunately, she is too nice to let that happen!" I said as I looked at Luz. "She would have chosen to save you, and that is what I will do." I said as I looked at them.

"He is right, I'm to help you!" Luz said with pride as Flapjack chirped.

"Why should I believe you?" He questioned as he started to follow us naturally.

"Because..."

I moved us out of the way as we heard Kikimora's dragon return. We hid behind some rubble as we watched it walk by. Taking off his robes, I tossed it down and moved on. A second later, the dragon ate the robes.

"Because it is the right thing to do." I finished as we moved into town.

Later

Walking into the town of Latissa, the Golden Guard started taking the lead.

"Whew, man, Kikimora must hate you. Whoa! I haven't been outside Bonesborough that much, Latissa is so cool!" Luz said as she looked around, with me pulling her out of the way of accidentally bumping into someone.

"Where are you going?" I questioned as I walked next to the Golden Guard. "If you plan on returning to the Covenant, Latissa is the worst place to do it. They are all under Kikimora's payroll." I informed, where he shrugged me off.

"Hey man, we just saved your life, the least you could do is tell us your name." Luz said, with me looking at her.

The Golden Guard huffs at her, and goes over to the Police Precinct 206, where he approaches the scouts. "Scouts! Direct me to your communications room. I need to contact the castle immediately." He said, where slides down his glove, showing the scouts his Emperor's Coven sigil.

"Cute. I didn't know kids your age were still into temporary tattoos." One of them said as I walked over to them.

"Yeah, show us your badge number!" The second one said sarcastically.

"Sorry for my friend, he gets carried away with his tattoo." I said as I placed a hand on his shoulder. Turning us around, I looked him in the eye as we walked away. "You fool, you're going to get yourself killed, talking to not one but two members of Kikimora's followers." I said, annoyed with him.

"How do you know that?" He asked, with me grinning.

"I can see through time and space, as well as one's soul. You remember me telling you how much I hated yours, right?" I said, watching him stiffen up. "Good, now let's go!" I said as I waved the guards off as we walked away.

"What about the palismen?" Luz asked as we continued to walk away. "We can't just let her take them. I know what Belos does to them, you should as well!" She said, with me looking at her.

"Those he hurts are not killed, but absorbed into him, trapped for all eternity." I said, shocking them. "There is no saving them, and it pains me to say that." I said as we turned the corner.

"Sorry." Luz said as she lowered her head.

"But, that doesn't mean that we will let them be taken." I said with a smile as I didn't want her to think that we were abandoning them.

"Then what? You think I'll just let you walk away with them?" The Golden Guard said, with me looking at him.

"You won't have a choice!" I said, challenging him to try and stop me. "I'm the strongest person on this planet, followed by the Titan, The First, Wanda, then Belos." I said as I got in his face. "A simple heart beat brought you to your knees, imagine what I can really do." I said, watching him sweat bullets. "Lucky for you, I cannot interfere with most mortals lives, which is why Luz here is the strongest amongst us at the moment." I said, grabbing Luz's head and pulling her closer, making her smile with my fingers.

"I doubt that, but fine. A truce till then." The Golden Guard said, rolling his eyes.

Later

"I've never seen magic like this. What will it do?" The Golden Guard asked as he returned to see Luz making two glyphs that connected to each other, as well as a circle with a hole in it.

"Well, we don't want to spook Kikimora's steed, because it might drop the nest and hurt the palismen! So, using these fire and ice spells, I can command the glyphs to produce a thick mist!" Luz explained as she finished

"And the sleeping nettles?" He asked as I took the pot and put it in the slot.

"They're the most essential!" I said with a grin.

"Combined with the magic mist, it'll create—"

"A sleep-inducing smoke, forcing Kikimora to land." The Golden Guard said as he understood, surprising Luz. "Oh, um, I—I-I read a similar spell in Bones to Earth—"

"A Study of Wild Magic! Eda once pickpocketed the guy who wrote it." Luz said, as she recognized the book.

"I've never seen glyphs before, but, it seems very similar to the elemental magic practiced in the Savage Ages." He said as he rubbed his chin in thought as he looked them over.

"It's because it is." I informed, with them looking at me. "This is Magic at its purest, well, what you use anyways." I said as I looked at them.

"Really?" Luz said in excitement as she didn't know that.

"Stronger, and more pure, but it's slower as you should know. While everyone else uses weaker, less dense magic in rapid fire." I said as we looked at the Golden Guard. "It's why Belos fears Wild Magic." I said, where he thought about it.

"Other than Lilith, I've never spoken to someone inside the Emperor's Coven. What made you want to join?" Luz asked, curious.

He sighed and leaned against the wall. "You were right before. I'm a powerless witch. A lot of my ancestors were. I never thought I'd have a future in a world like this. But then, Belos found me and gave me a staff with artificial magic. He said the Titan had big plans for me." He said, where I knew why he was powerless.

"At least you have your future figured out now." Luz said as she was still bummed out about the palismen.

"At least you can figure out your own." He shot back, with me placing my hands on their heads, followed by Flapjack hoping toward him, pecking his leg.

"Hey! Stop, get away from me!" He said as he shooed Flapjack.

"He's just being friendly." Luz said as I bent down and placed him on my shoulder.

"I don't care! These things are made from wild magic. It's dangerous." He said as I looked at him.

"And does he look dangerous to you?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him, where Kikimora's dragon flies into the air.

"Masks on." Luz said, where she and the Golden Guard both put on their masks. I didn't need one as I was immune to it.

"Once they're surrounded by the smoke, you'll need to stay close to see where they land." I told them as The Golden Guard nods, where Luz offers the staff back to him.

"Are you sure?" He asked, hesitant to take it back.

"Just take it!" I told him as I took it and shoved it into his arms. Kikimora's dragon flies overhead, where Luz activates the connected glyphs. They both then got on the Golden Guard's staff and flew after the dragon, leaving me behind. I grinned at this and proceeded to walk after them.

Later

"I will have your head!" A drowsy Kikimora yelled, where I landed on top of her, burying her in the ground.

"Oops, did I do that?" I asked as I stepped off and walked over to the Luz and The Golden Guard. "So, Hunter, what is your next move?" I asked, watching as he stiffened up once I used his real name. Seeing a blast coming my way from Kikimora through their eyes, I held my hand up and blocked it, shocking them.

"I know that voice... Monster!" Kikimora said, with me walking back over to her.

"Dakota?" Luz said, worried.

I clapped my hands together, my aura extending across the area around us. "Province Extension: Deaths Throne." I said as the area around us changed to that of a graveyard. A tombstone rose up behind Kikimora, who turned to face it. We watched as her name and image was burned into the face of it. "Your soul will forever be trapped in this place." I said as I summoned my scythe and placed it at her neck from behind. "Be grateful I don't destroy you now." I said as I pulled the scythe through, watching as her spirit tore in half, her head rolling towards the tombstone and getting absorbed into it.

The area around us turned back to normal, with Kikimora falling, her eyes rolled back. "Is she..." Hunter said, looking terrified at what just happened.

"She lives." I said as I turned to face them. "Only half of her soul is with her, the other half I have claimed. When she dies, the rest of her will belong to me, for eternal damnation." I said as I walked over to them. "Now, they go free." I said as we turned to face the Palismen, and the dragon.

Later

Once everyone was back, Luz and Hunter went their separate ways, with me staying behind. Flapjack landed on my lap, looking up at me. "You know he is not the same person, right?" I asked, getting a nod from him. "Choosing him, you know what that means, right?" I asked, where it chirped at me. "I don't see why you chose to join him. He may look like Caleb, but he is not him." I said as I laid down in the nest. "He is gone." I said as I closed my eyes and waited for the morning.

The next day, Wanda's POV

"Why the window?" I asked as we landed on the window and pushed it open, seeing Luz turning to face us.

"Eda, Wanda!?" Luz questioned, surprised to see us entering through the window.

"We thought we'd find you here." Eda said as King climbs on my back.

"We could've used the door!" He agreed with me, with me nodding.

"What did you get into?" Luz asked, skeptical of us. Eda tosses a small log to her, where I crossed my arms and smiled.

"Whew. Uh, how... thoughtful?" Luz said, not understanding how important the log was.

"It's palistrom wood, ya ding-dong!" Eda said, surprising Luz.

"Now you can make your own palisman!" King added, with me rubbing her head.

"Just don't go crazy with it, I don't want you to turn out like a certain someone." I said, knowing Dakota would make a nuke and just blow everything up. "Speaking of, where is he?" I asked as I stood up straight.

"He is guarding the palismen." Luz informed, with me nodding. "Also, I realize how powerful he is, and it's terrifying. If he wasn't with us, and against us... we would all be dead." She said, gaining my interest.

"Luz... Dakota is powerful, a god even, but he has a huge weakness." I said, getting a gasp from her. "He can't act accordingly, and if he interferes with the timeline... it breaks away at his body. It's terrifying, but just two simple actions, caused his arm to crack up.." I said as I looked at my arm. "I don't know if it heals, or if he has a limit on how much he can interfere with, but that is his weakness." I informed, with her thinking about it.

"I get it now. Why he lets us take charge instead of acting himself!" Luz said, with me nodding.

"That's horrible!" Eda said, looking at me. "Even after his life was taken away and became a god, Death of all things, he still can't live his life? He is forced to watch over everyone until the end times? Why can't he just get a break?" Eda said as she looked away from us, crossing her arms.

"I know what you mean." I said as I looked out the window. "As much as I want to get closer to him, it's almost like he is pushing me away while pulling me closer." I said with a frown, as it had been some time since we had been together.
