The next few days passed. Sombra and Mavis contuine to meet up and trained. They also kept their training a secret from their families as well. Mavis felt her psychic powers grow each day, feeling herself get closer and closer to evolving. However, she was fully aware she still had some time before she did. Both she and Sombra did talk between breaks and learned they were the same in other ways.

Sombra told her that he was going to be training into a Lucario next year, but the council was trying to make him start early. However, his father was honoring his mother's wish to have him start at the correct age. She told him that she was going to go under the same train once she evolved into a Kirlia. So Sombra mentions they should make the best of the year by being friends.

That was yesterday. Today, Mavis was showing her psychic abilities to her teachers and fellow Ralts. Many were shocked to see her lift a few boulders with ease and even crushed them.

"Wow. You're getting better, Mavis." Her teacher said.

"Thank you. I know I still have some ways to go, but I can't help but think I will evolve soon." She said, making her teacher nod.

"A lot of Ralts feel that way. I'm glad that you are aware that you won't do so anytime soon." Her teacher said.

Another huge difference was the fact her village was treating her more nicely. Since she was able to use more of her psychic powers after learning she was letting other feelings get to her, the village started to change its tune about her. Through, Mavis believes it was because of her mother. However, she still kept the fact she was training with a Riolu a secret. If anyone found out, she would put her friend in danger.

"Miss Mavis."

She looked up and saw her father, Blade standing at the entrance for her. She walked up to him, feeling him trying to read her mind. She quickly blocked him off before glaring at him.

"Stop looking into my mind." She orders him.

Blade was surprised. Since she mentioned her new training partner, he has been trying to find out everything about them. He had tried to follow her once, but she somehow kept giving him a slip. With how powerful her psychic powers have gotten, he had a much harder time understanding her. He was fully aware that he was her father, but he was always told to treat her as the future ruler. Not even Sadie would allow him to act like her father. And he accepted that.

But these last few days were becoming worrisome and he needed to talk to Lady Sadie. he couldn't shake the feeling that Mavis was hiding something.

"Hiding something?"

"Yes, Lady Sadie. Every time I looked into her mind, she blocked me off. I know even Ralts have lots of power, but it's almost like her psychic abilities are a lot stronger than a normal Ralts." He said.

"I see your point. I have tried asking her about her new teacher, maybe even setting up a meeting, but she told me that her teacher wanted to be kept secret." Siade said, thinking.

"Lady Sadie. I know everyone told me not to like a father, but I can't help by worry about her." Blade said.

"Sir Blade..." She started.

"One can not block out the thoughts of a parent. Out of all the Gallades you could have chosen, you picked me. And we hated each other as Ralts." He reminds her.

Sadie sighs. He brought up a good point. Whether everyone likes it or not, Blade was Mavis's father. And if she was being honest with herself, she chose Blade because she loved him.

"Blade..." She said, sighing.

"Sadie, you must understand. We can't keep them up. This war has been going on long enough. I don't want our daughter getting dragged into it." Blade told her.

Sadie sighs. She felt the same way. But this war couldn't be stopped.

"I understand, Sir Blade. I'll do what I can to keep Maivs away from this war." She said, nodding.

Blade nods before sighing himself.

"Is there something else?" Sadie asked.

"Her training partner...However he or she is, I can't stop thinking why she keeping them from us. I have tried following her, but she keeps giving me a slip." Blade said.

"Do you think that she's being trained by someone outside the village?" Sadie asked.

"Yes. And from what I can tell, it's not another Gardevoir nor another Gallade. Whoever is training her, must not want their identity known." Blade said.

"That is worrisome," Sadie said, seeing his point.

"I'm afraid we might have to force it out of her. We are her parents. Even if we can't act like it." Blade said.

Sadie had to agree. Whatever her daughter is hiding, they need to know. Mavis was to take over for her once she fully evolved into a Gardvoir herself. Whoever is training her, not only deserves her thanks but also needs to be well known in her village.

"Very well, Sir Blade. I'll help you on your mission." She said, smiling.

"Besides, it's been ages since I had some fun." She added.

Blade shook his head. He did forget how wild Sadie was when they were still Ralts. Still, he hoped that they could figure out who was helping their daughter.

Later,

Mavis met back up with Sombra, who was happy to see her. They went over their training and took a break. After eating some berries, they spoke about their day.

"They still trying to figure out that I'm helping you?" Sombra asked.

"Yes. Sir Blade keeps trying to read my mind. If my mom finds out that I training with a Rilou, then this could cause the war to become even worse." Mavis said.

Sombra frowns. He understood why Mavis didn't want anyone to know he was helping her, however, he didn't like that both of their kind couldn't see eye to eye. Aura and Psychic are different, but who said they have to be? Sure, he has yet to tell his father, but he was unsure how long they could keep it up.

"Mavis, I think we should tell them." He said, surprising her.

"What?" She asked.

"Sooner or later, we'll slip up. I think we should tell them before something happens that we should prevent." He said.

Mavis looks down, thinking to herself. She knew Sombra couldn't see into the future. but he did raise a good point. No matter how much she wishes it, someone will find out about them and they will tell their parents.

"Okay. Who should we tell first?" She asked.

Sombra was a bit surprised but smiled, glad she understood.

"We should talk to my dad. He might be a bit easier to understand once we explained everything." Sombra said.

"What about your Council?" Mavis asked.

"My dad doesn't agree with them. Even worse, my Uncle refused to follow my Mom's ways. He hoping to turn me into the greatest Lucario that would win this was in a single paw." Sombra said.

Mavis looks surprised before looking down. She didn't want to fight him during the war. It sounded like both sides what this war to go on as long as possible. The thing is, both sides were at a stalemate. Psychic beats Fighting, but Steel beats Fairy. Meaning, that this war is going nowhere.

"Okay, should we head to you're village?" Mavis asked.

"Not sure if you will be allowed to enter. Let's meet up here tomorrow. I'll bring my dad." Sombra said.

Mavis nods. While she was unsure, she knew that it was important to try.

"Tomorrow then," She said.

"Tomorrow." Sombra nodded, and they shook on it.

And after over 3 years of not updating, I finally bring you all another chapter of Psychic and Aura. So, as you can all see, it's not canceled. But I meant what I said in my note in the last chapter. I know a lot of you know and even played Pokemon. I've been playing since I had Pokemon Yellow for the Game Boy Color. So, now that it has returned, I hope you all read this again. And since the views have finally been fixed, I will be keeping an eye on the numbers.

As you see, Mavis's life has turned for the better and her village is treating her better. However, Blade is still trying to figure out how Mavis is getting better with his psychic and even got Lady Sadie to agree to help him. It turns out that they both do love each other, but they can't show it in front of the others. While everyone is aware that Blade is Mavis's father, they don't want him to act like one. And Sombra is wise for a pup. He knew that sooner or later, they will slip up and they will be discovered. So they decide to tell his father first.

And I am thinking about adding more Pokemon to the story. I do have more favorites and want to add them at some point. My favorite normal type is Lopunny and my favorite dark type is Zorark. If I do add them, I wouldn't mind some help with the names. Lopunny is female, and Zorark is male.
