Magical Twins
Chapter 2 Meeting
'Come on', Sirius said. 'It's this way.'
Harry and Sirius walked through the streets of London. They were heading for the Leaky Cauldron. Harry knew that was the entrance to Diagon Alley, but that was all he knew.
'Where here', Sirius said, stopping. 'The Leaky Cauldron. A famous pub.'
It was a tiny, dingy café. If Sirius hadn't pointed it out, Harry wouldn't have even noticed. The Muggles who hurried past didn't spare a glance at the pub. They didn't seem to see the Leaky Cauldron.
Sirius saw Harry looking and said: 'Muggles can't see the Leaky Cauldron. Only wizards can see it.'
'O, that's why', Harry said, before Sirius led him into the pub.
'Ah, Sirius. Do you want something to drink?' asked the toothless innkeeper.
He grinned.
'No thanks. I have things to do', Sirius said and continue walking and Harry followed.
Sirius led him to a small, walled courtyard, with nothing to see except a garbage and some weeds.
'Um, are you sure it's here?' Harry asked uncertainly.
"Yes, yes," Sirius said absently, tapping a white brick. The brick he had tapped on trembled and a hole appeared in the center, growing larger and larger. A few seconds later they stood in front of a gate. "Welcome to Diagon Alley," Sirius said.
Sirius walked on and Harry followed.
"How come I've never been here before?" Harry asked Sirius a bit accusingly.
'Sorry Harry. But you saw how the innkeeper looked at you. The innkeeper could easily be a supporter of the Dark Side. You don't know if someone is lying or not.'
'But the Dark Side has been defeated, right? Voldemort and the Death Eaters have been defeated.'
'No, Harry. Voldemort is not dead, but he is not alive. He waits for his chance.
As for the other Death Eaters, most of them are dead or in Azkaban, the wizarding prison, but there are still some walking around freely. They could do things to you.'
Harry nodded in understanding.
"Come on, I already got your money from Gringotts. Let's buy books first.' Harry and Sirius walked to a shop with a sign that said Flourish & Blotts. Sirius pushed the door open and they walked inside.
'Harry, can I have the list? In the meantime, just take a look around.'
Harry handed the list to Sirius and strolled up the stairs.
He walked to one of the bookcases and took out a book. He leafed through it and then put it back on the shelf. But when he turned around he bumped into someone and they both fell to the ground. He rubbed his forehead and saw a red-haired girl with green eyes. He quickly got up and helped the girl up.
"Sorry," he said and helped her pick up her books.
