A young man groaned as the rays of sunlight hit his face, annoyed that the sun was interrupting his beauty sleep. He turned his body around to avoid the sunlight where his face was buried into his mattress wanting to sleep a little longer. Suddenly he felt his bed shift a bit and a hand ran across his forehead.

"Rise and shine, Shu. It's time to get up." A soft gentle voice spoke as the young man groaned and tried to bury himself more into his mattress, trying to disappear from the world.

"Five… more… days…" the said boy replied as the person above him giggled at his stubbornness.

"As fun as that sounds, you still have 3 more days to go until its Friday so up and at em. Don't make me get your sister." The voice said in a teasing tone as Shu let out another groan before grunting in defeat and removed the covers from his head revealing his silver hair and black eyes. Getting up, he came face to face with a woman that had light grey hair pulled back into a bun with bangs framing her face, and emerald green eyes that were filled with love as she stared down at her son. Mabui Raikou.

"There we go." She spoke softly as he gave her a small glare.

"Did you really think that work?" He asked as she giggled once more.

"No but I was curious to see what your reaction would be." Mabui said.

"My sisters aren't even here. If they were, one would've already dragged me out of bed by the scruff of my neck and the other would've done the same thing but more playful and annoying." Shu stated as he got off of the bed and stood up, letting out a small yawn.

"True." Mabui agreed as giggled. "Lucky for you, your kaa-chan is here to give you a nice peaceful wakeup call."

"Mmhm." He hummed as he stretched his arms above his head. "Alright, I'm up now so I guess I should get ready for school then."

"Oh, yes pardon me." Mabui excused herself as she got up and exited his room. "I shall make some breakfast before leaving for work, don't take too long Sochi." She said as she went ahead and left his room.

"Why do I feel like something weird is going to happen today and it won't even be that exciting?" He thought as he let out a sigh.

Shu was on his way to school now dressed in the Tokyo High Uniform which consisted of a black shirt underneath his closed white dress shirt with blue pants is wearing white sneakers instead of the normal loafers. And around his neck were a pair of noise canceling headphones.

"Another day, another dull routine for this young kid who would rather be listening to music and running around freely then stay in classroom listening to teachers lecture about whatever subject their teaching." Shu said in exasperation. "At least they have good food and quiet places around the school where no one can disturb you."

Walking by an alleyway, he quickly stopped and turned his head looking at the view with a blank expression on his face. He heard the sounds of a meow echo from the valley and instead of going towards it, he just simply continued walking and made his way towards the train station. His family lived in Yokohama which was near Tokyo and outside of Kuoh.

Once he was on the metro, Shu sat in the last passenger car that was far away from people where he could go ahead and listen to his music while enjoying the scenery of buildings. Unfortunately, that hobby like to enjoy would have to come to pass as he let out a sigh and leaned his head back.

"I know you're there, no need to hide and try to surprise me." He said as a shadow figure came out into the light and reveal themselves. It was a young woman with pale white skin and black hair, wearing a tattered gray coat with bandages that covered everything but her face. She came over to Shu and sat down right next to him.

"Shu."

"Fubuki." Both sides greeted each other in a monotone voice. One that had a cold filled aura around them while the other was yawning still trying to wake up for the day.

"What have you been up to lately?" Shu asked trying to start up a conversation.

"Nothing."

"Oh, alright then." Shu said before leaning his back and turned his head towards the window finding it more interesting. He always had a hard time striking up a conversation with this girl whenever she came around, most of the time it was her finding him no matter where he went.

Fubuki gazed at him, observing him as if she was looking for any lies or deceit behind those eyes of his and found none. She let out a soft sigh before sitting up and walking over, sitting down next to him as the boy remained quiet and looked out the window.

"Shu," She called out as he turned his head to her gaining his attention. "If you met someone who was born between a human and another race, what would you think of them?" She asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"Whoa, where did this come from?" He asked wondering what made his friend/acquaintance ask him such a question.

"Just answer me." She said emotionlessly which meant that she was serious.

"Well, honestly it wouldn't really matter to me." Shu started. "I mean I wouldn't care if you were born between two races, the only thing that matters is the type of person you choose to be and not care what others think of you. Don't judge a book by its cover and all that."

"And what if people didn't like you for being one?" She asked next.

"Then they came screw off for all I care." Shu answered while shrugging his shoulders. "They don't know you and that's all that matters. At the end of the day, the only person that should matter about who you are and choose to be is yourself."

Fubuki remained silent taking in his words before letting out a smile play on her lips as she accepted his answer. Raising her hands, she grabbed his head confusing him as he was about to ask her what she was trying to do only to receive his answer when she planted his head onto her chest, her large soft bosom.

Shu didn't make a sound.

"Um…Fubuki…"

"Thank you for your answer. I'm glad you think that way." She said in a soft tone confusing him.

"Fubuki… is everything okay?" He slowly asked as he was lifted from her chest to gaze into her orbs.

"Everything is fine now, no need to worry." Fubuki said cryptically before releasing him as she stood up while the train was going into another tunnel before it did, the woman gazed at Shu one last time and whispered a few words to him. "I'll be waiting."

After the train exited the tunnel, Shu was by himself again and Fubuki was nowhere to be seen. Shu hummed in thought as to what she meant thinking that he was to meet up with her somewhere but she didn't give him a location or anything like that.

The boy just simply shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the window. He didn't have to worry about it because if he was honest, Fubuki would find him when she wanted to and she always knew where he was at.

Shu exited as the metro stopped at the destination signaling passengers to move off the metro and onto the platform, arrows leading to an elevator that they took.

He was looking around the area searching for a certain somebody or at least two people. He looked at the time and saw that it was 7:45 and knew that he had 15 more minutes before school started and that this is the same time that he would always meet up with his friends.

"Now if I'm correct, she would either be calling my name to for me to find her, or option two she will call my name and will appear before me right about…" He trailed off as if he was waiting for a countdown and suddenly…

"Shu-chan!" The said boy turned around to find the source of the voice but his eyes were met with something soft and squishy pressing against his face and slender arms wrapping around his head and he could feel himself fall over.

"Ow." He muffled as he knew who it was. "Morning…Honoka…"

"Ah, ah, ah, Shu-chan, I'm not getting up til you call me by nickname~" He heard her teasing in a playful tone as he let out a small groan but knew that she wouldn't get off until he said it. So he did.

"Morning… Honoka…chan." He gave in and he heard giggling.

"That's a good boy." He then felt his face get some air allowing to see Honoka. Honoka had tanned skin with red eyes, shoulder-length salmon pink hair with a side ponytail held by a ball with a winking-skull-and-crossbones and a large bust that was bigger than most. She was wearing a white blouse with a black skirt, black knee socks and brown loafers.

"So, how did you like my surprise attack?" She asked him.

"I'll be honest, I had two guesses on how you would greet me and I was too late when I figured out it was the second one." He answered as she giggled and got off of him, both of them standing up.

"Hmhmhm, silly boy, you need to be faster than that if you ever want to catch me or do you not want to do that because you enjoy feeling my chest against you?" She said before her expression changed into a blush while pressing herself against him.

Shu quickly turned his head to the side as her statement and question were right on spot. He is always trying to catch Honoka in time for her surprise attacks and he did like it whenever she pressed her chest against him, it made him feel weird but in a good way.

He would never admit that.

"Anyway, we should be heading our way to school right now." He said as he started walking with Honoka nodding her head in agreement. She took the liberty of grabbing his hand and took the lead before he could say anything, not that he mind.

After a few minutes, both teens entered their school and were making the way to their homeroom. As soon as they entered, they saw that the class was almost full as they were about five minutes left until the clock.

"There you are Honoka." Both teens turned their heads and saw a girl with blonde hair held up in twin pigtails with black ribbons and had dark blue eyes and wearing the same school uniform as them.

"Oh, it's short stack." Shu unintentionally called as the girl grew red at the pet name.

"Dummie!" She shouted and kicked him in the shin.

"Ow. The hell?"

"I have a name you know use it." She said with a pout on her face as Shu rolled his eyes.

"Fine, Marie. It's nice to see you, how are you doing?" He greeted half-heartedly earning a huff from the blonde.

"At least say like you mean it." She said while clenching her fists and stomping her foot.

"Sure thing, short stack." He replied.

"You shouldn't call me that, are you trying to deteriorate my self-esteem?" She glared as she crossed her arms. "Bigger doesn't always mean better." She mumbled to herself.

"I'm not comparing you…" He exclaimed. "Geez she can be annoying sometimes." That earned him another kick. "Ow!"

"Now now," Honoka started as she put her hands against them both. "NO need for fighting, Marie could you please stop hitting him and Shu could you please apologize?" She asked gently.

"Hmph, I refuse to apologize someone that always makes fun of my size." The blonde girl said in a huff tone.

"I'm not making fun of your size."

"Yes, you are." Marie replied as tears welled up in her eyes.

Feeling guilty, Shu quickly spoke.

"Okay, I'm sorry I called you short stack. Even it is out of habit." He mumbled but that didn't stop Marie from whimpering.

"Mmmmm…"

. I will make it up to you…" Talon told her allowing her to hold her crying.

"Really?"

"Yes, whatever you want me to do and I will do it." He admitted. Suddenly Marie's tears were gone and she had a bright smile on her face.

"Great, then I want you to become my butler for an entire day!" She said as Talon was taken aback at how fast she recovered before realizing that she had fake cried.

"*Sigh* I fell for it again didn't i?" He asked as he hung his head with a dark cloud hanging over.

"Yep. Every single time." Honoka giggled as she patted his head in an attempt to make him feel better.

"Fine, I will be your butler for an entire day today." He said as Marie shook her head.

"Nope, that's not how it works. I get to decide when you do it and not only that, you will follow every single one of my orders without question." She said her smile reaching ear to ear enjoying seeing Talon's brow twitching in annoyance.

"Gullible." Ayane said as she shook her head, as if she was disappointed. Ayane was the same height as Honoka, had fair skin with a slender and athletic body. Having red eyes with straight purple hair cut to the nape of her neck with a front fringe and is tied back with a dark purple bandana.

"Well, that's Shu for you." Ayane's sister Kasumi mentioned with a giggle. Like her sister, Kasumi had fair skin with a slender and physically fit body. She had copper brown eyes and long amber hair tied in yellow ties.

"Fine." He accepted his fate as Marie reached up and pinch his cheeks.

"Good boy." Marie said in a teasing tone as Shu swatted her hands away with the girls giggling around them.

"Alright, if everyone's done laughing at my misery can we go ahead and get this day over with." He said while making his way towards his seat in the back with Honoka and Kasumi sitting on both of his right side, Marie sitting behind him and Ayane sitting in front of him.

"Oh, don't be such a wet blanket Shu-chan. There's always something fun to do around here." Honoka encouraged.

As soon as the bell ranged, a smoke bomb emitted in front of the classroom.

Smoke clouds catching most of them off guard as they patted them away while trying to catch their breath. As the clouds disappeared, a middle-aged man with a black suit and tie with grey hair and auburn eyes appeared in place.

"Good morning students." The gray-haired man introduce himself as he patted away the rest of clouds. "Today I'm going to introduce you all to a multitude of events we will be doing this year."

Shu sighed as he looked out the window and paid attention to the clouds that were passing by. Drifting to sleep as his thoughts went back to Fubuki and couldn't help but wonder what she wanted.

Shu was half asleep in class as his head was laying on the desk as his teacher was going over some history lesson about Japan. He was a bit bored as he already knew about history so he decided to take a little nap to pass the time.

As he slept, Honoka and the others kept sneaking a few glances at him. Honoka giggled at his form while Marie let out a grin as she had something planned for him, Ayane shook her head with a frown while Kasumi let out a sigh at her only male friend.

Kiriya took notice that the boy was asleep but didn't say anything as he continued on with the lesson. He had something planned for him that would be essential for everyone in the near future. Once he finished the lesson and the bell rung, he quickly spoke out to Honoka.

"Honoka, could you please wake up Shu?" He asked as the pink-haired girl nodded her head.

Honoka then gently shook Shu by his shoulders only to receive no response as his breathing was still silent before she poked his cheek attempting to see if that would work but nothing happened.

"Mmm." Honoka hummed as she realized something was wrong but before she could point it out, Kiriya then spoke once more.

"Ah, he's in that state." The grey-haired teacher realized before turning his head to the next girl. "Marie, would you be so kind to wake up our sleeping adversary?" He called out earning the blonde's attention as she let out a grin.

"Gladly, Mr. Kiriya." Marie answered with too excitedly before getting up and picked up a very heavy book off the shelf. She lifted it over Shu's head, before slamming it on top of him earning a loud smack to echo in the room and a said boy to wake up.

"Ah, what what's going on, what did I miss?" He asked frantically only to realize that everyone was looking at him, and let out a groan. "Oh, crud. Am I in trouble sir?"

"Please remain once everyone leaves." Kiriya said as Shu groaned.

'Yeah, I'm in trouble.' He groaned as he heard Marie snicker behind him and gave her a small glare as he assumed she was the one that dropped the book on him. The said girl spat her tongue out at him before picking up her bag, as Honoka gave her a nervous smile with Ayane and Kasumi behind her, once everyone left the classroom Shu turned his attention to his teacher.

"Okay, sir what's the punishment for sleeping in class this time?" Shu asked as he was already prepared for his punishment.

"Fortunately for you, Shu, there is no punishment or consequence." Kiriya stated as Shu gave him a raised eyebrow.

"There isn't?" Shu then sat up and gaze at his teacher. "Then why did you hold me back?"

"I have an assignment for you to complete." Kiriya said.

"Assignment? Like a homework assignment?" Shu asked before groaning in his chair.

"No, it's something that I need you to do." Kiriya started as he walked towards Shu and was in front of his desk. He handed the boy a piece of paper that look liked a scroll, the said boy opened it and looked at the paper showing water that was forming in waves and a name on the front.

"Peach Beach Splash?" He read the paper and then looked at Kiriya. "What is this?"

"PBS is an event that we have every Summer of every year. It's a resort that we present to our students that need a break every now and then." Kiriya said.

"Why show this to me?"

"We ran into a problem this year." Kiriya let out a sigh while pinching his upper brow. "All of the water guns that are suppose to used this year are missing, stolen or broken beyond repair."

"Did someone have too much fun with the guns?" Shu asked, surprised that the water guns were actually broken.

"Yes, you could say that. Moving on, I would like for you to make the guns and what types of water guns they should be." Kiriya asked.

"Wait, wait, you want me to make the water guns?" Shu asked incredulously. "I don't know the first thing about making stuff since I'm pretty terrible at it nor am that creative."

"Shu, no matter what aspect of an activity or thing, everyone is creative about something in their own nature. I have at least 5 students that are really creative when it comes to something they love doing, and I'm sure you have one too." Kiriya said as Shu looked like he was in deep thought.

He really couldn't think of anything other than the challenges he does with his sister whenever they have an argument on whoever does the chores or when they both strive for the same prize… maybe that could be his motivation, if he showed his sisters then maybe he could get sort of help.

"I know what you are thinking, and no you cannot ask for outside help for this." Kiriya shot down his idea and let the boy grumbled. "Think of this as an experience for you, a new technique for you to develop and add to your skill set. It will be tough at first but the more you do it, the more you will be accustomed to it."

Shu sighed as he knew that he was not getting out of this, and his teacher was right. He should at least try to do this on his own before giving up and admitting defeat, after all you only person you can fail the most is yourself if you don't try.

"Alright, I accept your challenge you old man." Shu accepted as Kiriya smiled.

"Excellent, now don't say a word of this to anybody…" He ordered as Shu nodded his head and went ahead and left the classroom. Once he left, he made his way to his math class which was the only class he had to focus a due to him somewhat failing or more likely not paying attention, plus it was the only class that he didn't have with his friends in.

His friends were all girls now that he thought about it. He never had any male friends, then again, it's not like he could due to that one incident when he was younger. Oh well, he might make one in the future but right now he'll just stick to whatever he has right now.

Shu sighed to himself knowing he had to focus in math since it was boring and very complex. As he wrote down notes, he was being observed by someone other than his four normal friends. Sitting to his left was a girl with a slender figure, long dark brown haired that reached down to her back with long parted bangs with a single lock of hair falling into her face, and large white eyes with a hint of lilac in them. This was Hanabi Hyuga, youngest daughter of the Hyuga clan. She had been watching Shu ever since he came in and noticed that he was the odd one in the entire school. She had thought he was just like the other typical normal students where everyone had dreams of doing something later on in life and not a hidden shinobi like she and a few others were at this academy.

But something had happened that made her change her observation of him. She had bumped into him one time when he caught her by surprise after bumping into each other. Thinking someone was trying to attack her she had activated her Byakugan and was ready to attack but Shu apologized while giving her a bow and quickly ran off because he in a hurry. What surprised was that he had no chakra, in his system. Nothing at all, not even the 361 points in the body where chakra would normally flow… he was completely empty and the only person in school maybe in the world that had no chakra, it intrigued her. So she watched him from a distance, wondering what his habits were and what he did outside of school.

Unfortunately, she couldn't get much due to him always being around those four girls that he hangs around with and the fact that he just disappears completely as soon as he leaves school grounds or seperates from his friend group. For someone who was a civilian, he acted like a ninja more often than not. Hanabi then decided that she wanted to get to know this boy that had caught her attention but she wanted to meet him when he was alone and it seemed she would get her opportunity.

The bell signaled once again, ending class and Shu knew that it was recess which meant a quick 15-minute break before his next class, and then lunch and Physical Education. At the moment he was working on one of his most hated subjects in the entire school…. Math. He really disliked the math because he could never figure it out, no matter how many times he tried. While everyone else was already out, he was unaware of the girl standing beside him with her arms behind her back and giving him a kind smile.

"Hello." He heard and turned around, and noticed one of them in front of them.

"Um, hello, is there something you need from me?" Shu asked.

"Oh, it's nothing just wanted to greet you that's all. You seemed like you were having trouble during class and I was wondering if you minded if I helped you out?" Hanabi offered as Shu turned to his homework.

"Well, I couldn't do that…. I mean you don't have to waste your time on me just to help me out, I'm sure you have better things to do then mess around with someone like me." Shu said.

"Not really, I don't mind helping you out one bit." She said giving a bow. "Nice to meet you, I'm Hanabi, Hanabi Hyuga."

"Shu Arashi." He greeted back. "Well, I guess if you don't helping me…" He trailed off as she gave him a smile.

"Wonderful." Hanabi sat down with Shu before going over with him on the problems he had, ratios and exponents before moving onto linear functions. The whole time she was helping him, Hanabi watched his facial expressions wondering if she would catch any that he was hiding but sadly she didn't other than the confused gazes or the frustrated expression when he couldn't get something correct or got stuck, she simply kept her smile the whole time as she helped him step by step on his work.

Soon the 15 minutes were up and the bell rung, causing the boy to groan.

"Aw, it's 3rd class already? man this sucks." Shu groaned while mentally thinking to himself that he still couldn't get the linear functions correct. "Still, thanks for helping me out Hanabi."

"It was my pleasure. Don't be hard on yourself, this isn't something you can understand right away. Just do some of the equations that are easy for you first and then the hard ones right after, if you want I can help you again another time."

"Really? You would be okay with that?" Shu asked in awe.

"Of course." She answered. "Why do you not want to meet up again?"

"Oh, no, no it's not that. Don't get me wrong, it was cool and all but you're kind of the first person other than my family that wants to hang out with me."

"What about those four girls you're around with?" Hanabi asked out of curiosity, she thought they always spent time together due to the close proximity.

"Well, it kinda depends. Kasumi and Ayane both have a traditional habit they due right after school, Marie kind of likes to play tricks on me which reminds that I have to be her butler for the day and Honoka spends time taking care of her grandmother or Marie most of the time. Granted she does take time to talk with me and try to spend time but it's only on school grounds and I don't want her to waste too much time on me when I don't really have that many hobbies." Shu explained.

'So that's why. I wonder if he's got self-esteem issues like my sister.' Hanabi thought as she could see some similarities, only difference is that Shu was a little more open than her sister.

"Well, then that makes me your first." Hanabi declared before taking a finger and poked his cheek. "As of right now, Shu Arashi and Hanabi Hyuga become friends."

"Wait, what?" Shu called out as Hanabi turned around and started walking away. Before she left completely, she gave him a smile and a wink. "I'll see you tomorrow~"

Shu stared at where she was just at for another minute before his brain finally heard her words, and he could only think of one thing off the top of his head.

"What just happened?"

Shu was now eating lunch with his friends as they all sat underneath a tree. Honoka sitting to his left and Kasumi on his right, Ayane sitting in front along with Marie. Each of them eating their own respective lunches.

"So, what you get in trouble for?" Marie asked with a smirk on her face.

"Marie." Honoka chided as Shu let it go.

"Its fine, I kind of deserve for sleeping in class. He just… gave me some extra homework for the lessons we learn today and if I don't turn it in tomorrow first thing in the morning than I would get assigned to washing duty." Shu told them, unable to reveal that he was actually doing an assignment that required being finished before the PBS.

"Hahahaha, slacker~" Marie teased as he rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah laugh it up." Shu grumbled while eating some fried rice.

"Shu, why do you fall asleep in all of your classes but math?" Kasumi asked as she put down her plate of white rice. "We know that you're failing in math but your grades improve last quarter and you're doing average in that class."

"It's because that's the subject I fail at the most. No matter how many times I go over the lessons or read the book, I can never get it down right. I always have to ask for help and can never do it by myself." He answered before whispering in a low tone. "And I kind of want to get more than a C in that class."

His whisper was replied with a small gasp by Honoka who was smiling at him.

"Oh, Shu, I'm so proud of you. Pushing yourself to do become better in your math class, that's improvement." Honoka praised.

"And here I thought we were going to have to bribe you to do better." Marie joked while poking his cheek.

"I too am also proud that you are willing to push yourself to new heights." Ayane commented while sipping some tea. "Still, it's no shame to ask for help if you are stuck on something.

"Hai, if you are stuck and you need help to get past it, just say the word and ask." Kasumi added with a motherly smile on her face.

"Um.. um…" He stuttered for a second before rubbing the back of his head. "I kind of did get some help earlier." He admitted causing them to turn his head at her.

"Y-you did?" Honoka asked.

"Who helped you out?" Kasumi asked.

"Oh, it was this girl named Hanabi. I just met her today and she seems like a nice person, she offered to help me out with my math so I took it." Shu answered while diving back into his food, unaware of the looks everyone was giving him.

"Wait, Hanabi, as in Hanabi Hyuga!?" Marie asked in shock as Shu nodded his head.

"Mhm."

"Okay, there's no way you were offered a session with her! You're lying!" Marie stated as Shu earned a tic mark at her.

"I can assure you I'm not lying. I had spent my entire 15 minute period with her just to get some of the equations right." Shu replied.

"That doesn't mean anything. It just proves that you're bad at math." Marie insulted unaware of what she just did.

"Marie!" Ayane said sternly before turning her head to Shu. "Shu, are you positive it was Hanabi?"

"Yes it was, do you seriously not believe me?" Shu said getting a little irritated.

"No we believe you." Honoka said with a sweet smile though her aura indicated otherwise.

'I think you do, but something tells me not for the right reasons.' Shu thought staring at Honoka, turning his head away afterwards. "Plus what's the big deal, she's pretty nice to me?"

"Hanabi doesn't sound like that. Hanabi is a cold girl that does not tolerate others around her and her sister is usually the kind one but she's also extremely shy." Kasumi explained.

"Really, that does sound different."

"Which indicates that you're lying!" Marie proclaimed as Shu stared at her.

"I'm not lying short stack." He growled at her. "Why are you so against me telling the truth!? You make it sound like I did something bad to her!"

"That's not it!"

"Then what is it!?" He asked as Marie paused before turning her head while crossing her arms.

"It doesn't matter, what it is."

"Well then since you won't tell me then I don't need to be here any longer." Shu said with a bit irritation as he stood up. "I have to do something after school for sensei since I accidentally slept in class…" Shu then left not even saying goodbye to the four.

"Marie, what was that for!?" Honoka asked with angry expression. "You didn't have to call him a liar."

"I didn't mean to it just…. It just came out before I could've even think about it." Marie said as she turned her head.

"Even so, you made him feel like he was a liar and now he's going to want to avoid you." Ayane said. "and just for your information, he was telling the truth completely not an ounce of deceit in his voice."

"Oh."

"Marie…"Kasumi called out in disappointment.

"I'm sorry okay! What do you want me to do!?"

"you could apologize to him and maybe offer him something?" Honoka suggested.

"I'll do it later on… if I do now or after school he'll know one of you told me too. So I'm going to think this out before talking to him." Marie stated as she looked down at her lap.

'Damn it Marie, why are you so angry at him for talking to another girl?' The blonde berated herself as she was silent for the rest of lunch.

It was the end of school and Shu was walking by himself still heading to the library that Kiriya asked him to go too. He was still a bit peeved at what Marie said calling him a liar, honestly he wasn't sure what had set the girl off in the first place.

'Eh, I'll figure it out later. For now let's go ahead and start working on these water guns that Kiriya told me about.' Shu thought as he continued walking home. He stopped when something whispered into his ear.

…Curse…

His eyes widened at the sound and he immediately stopped and stood still looking around at who had just spoken to him.

"Who said that…..?" He asked as he looked around only to see no one in sight and the sky was completely red and their were dark black clouds. The atmosphere was sending chills down the boy's spine as he felt something bad was happening.

"What's going on?"

…..Shadow….

….Sealed…

….h…osh…..hso…sy…Host…. HOST!

Shu looked up, down, all around for the whispers that were reaching his ears and everything was completely terrifying him and he couldn't focus… and then he quickly started running down the street as fast as he can to escape to where ever, anywhere.

He ran for a few minutes and stopped at his house and froze at what he saw… the house was torn apart. Windows were shattered, the roof was collapsed as if something crashed into it….

"No…" He trailed off before realizing that his house was destroyed and immediately went ahead and looked for his family.

"MOTHER! FUU! CAN ANYONE HERE ME!?" He shouted as he came to the door and struggled to push it open as there was some debris behind it. He took a step back before running and rammed straight into the door hurting his shoulder but didn't care. "YUYAKI! YORUICHI! ANYONE! HELLO!" He shouted as he step over some broken wood and weave his way through the destroyed house. He was panicking, his mother and sisters were nowhere to be found and he couldn't find them, all he saw were just bloodstains on the floor and on the wall and the smell of death was continuing to haunt him.

"COME ON PLEASE! TALK TO ME! WHERE ARE YOU!" He shouted and then the whispers came back.

…..Curse….

He looked up and then in the middle of the living room, he saw a sword stabbed into the ground… the dark red sky shining right down on it.

Shu made his way slowly towards it thinking that it had to do something with what ever he was experiencing. He stared at the sword and feeling nothing but death from it as it was making him sick, he slowly reached his hand out towards it and grabbed for a second.

Which was a mistake.

As soon as he touch the handle, his senses became overloaded.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

He started screaming in agony as random images appeared in his head. People from the past, monsters, demons, taigu, all types of beings in his head as he grabbed it with his hands. As his head was being filled with this stuff, his started crying tears but they felt warm very warm….. he opened his eyes and looked down at the floor and saw blood splatters on the board, fresh looking ones that came… right from him.

He wiped his face and looked down at his hands and saw that it was blood that he was crying. He started breathing erratically as everything became too much for him and before he could do anything else, his eyes rolled in the back of his head and he collapsed on his back passing out in the pitch black.

Beeping. That was all Shu heard as he was shrouded in darkness. He groaned as he slowly opened his eyes and found himself gazing at the ceiling and it was dark.

'What?' He was confused as he turned his head to the right and saw the windows where the blinds were closed and judging by how there was no sunlight coming through that must've meant it was nighttime. He then turned his to the left and down to his arm where he saw an IV in his arm.

"How did I end up here?" He muttered as he slowly sat up unaware of the sudden gasp he heard beside him.

"Shu…" He heard someone called out to him. He looked to his side and saw one of his sisters staring at him with worry and relief. She had long white hair tied into a ponytail, brown skin, wearing a Tohno high school uniform consisting of a blue sailor uniform with a red ribbon, blue shorts, black high knee socks and black loafers.

"Yuyaki." He whispered as the girl then sat up and hugged her brother to her chest.

"Thank god, you're okay…. You're okay… you're okay." She had whispered at tears trailed down her cheeks, landing on his head. Shu slowly move his free arm, the one without the IV around his sister's back.

"I'm here sis." He whispered hugging her back the best he could. Yuyaki released him from her chest and trailed her hands to his cheeks, gently stroking them as she stared at his eyes.

"I was on my way home and sent a message to everyone but we realized that you never responded so we tried calling you but you didn't pick up. So when I came home… I saw you on the ground… passed out on the floor and you were…. You were…." She struggled to speak as the memory was too painful to think about.

"Yuyu…" He asked.

"You were cold… you were cold, pale and you didn't have a heartbeat…. And your eyes were bleeding…. I was panicking and I took you to the hospital. I would've tried some healing art buts for some reason I wasn't able to summon anything as if my art was locked or something so I just grabbed you and took you to the nearest hospital." Yuyaki took a deep breath to calm down. "What happened to you?"

Shu wanted to say that he had heard voices and something about a curse but he wasn't sure. He wasn't sure if what he experienced was nothing more than a hallucination and someone had injected him with some weird drug which is impossible since he knows how to avoid people in and out or if it was a dream… but that experience was way too real for it to be a dream.

"I don't know…" He admitted while looking down in confusion. "All I remember was that I was walking home after school and messaged you guys but after that everything just comes to a blink." He said before closing his eyes and tried to remember the past event only let out a grunt as his head started hurting.

"Easy, you still need rest. You just woke up." Yuyaki chided gently as she held him down.

"Okay, I guess then being out a few hours will do that to you." Shu said while rubbing his head.

"Um Shu…. You weren't out for a few hours…" She trailed off as he gave her a look of confusion. "You've been out for a month.

"WHHHAAATTTT!?" Shu shouted as the entire hospital heard his voice!
