Mushoku Tensei: The Crusader Reborn
Word Count of Story: 1,978
Prologue:
The proud Joestar fell to the ground, his body limp in the water. But what had happened?
He had just fought Pucci and was about to deliver the final blow but his daughter.. his daughter was at risk of death. As much as he wanted to kill Pucci, he loved his daughter more. He couldn't just let her die, not here, and definitely not in front of him. So he gave up his chance of defeating and killing Pucci for his daughter, but he didn't regret it. He knew he was a terrible father, he was never there and he knew they weren't on the best of terms. But damn, he couldn't just let her die in front of him. So, he saved her.
Jotaro's Mind.
"J-Jolyne.." The final words getting uttered from the Joestar mouth as he looked at his daughter for the last and final time.
But, as those words came out, his face split in two. Suddenly he fell down, limp. He felt the water around him but that feeling wouldn't last. Coldness soon flooded his body as he couldn't move or summon Star Platinum.
'Is this death?' Said Jotaro internally
Soon came the numbness, then nothingness as he lost his consciousness. But he would soon snap back to reality, but still there was nothing. Just black and darkness, if he had a face, it would show a prominent image of a frown. But, he soon regained his composure and just thought.
'Is this an afterlife? Maybe Hell or Purgatory?" Thought the Joestar internally. Regardless, Jotaro knew he wasn't a saint, sure he saved lives but compared to what? He had been a terrible father and he had made terrible mistakes.
Jotaro sighed internally, maybe he wouldn't have to suffer from his PTSD or his Survivor Guilt or even those damn Stand Users. Despite this though, he couldn't stop thinking about his friends, mother, his Grandfather, and especially his daughter.
Kakyoin, Polnareff, Avdol, and Iggy, those guys were probably the closest and best thing to be considered his friends. He always hid it but he genuinely missed them, of course, Polnareff wasn't dead but he was busy and so was Jotaro. They met rarely, and Polnareff was the closest thing to a friend he had.
Jotaro Sighed
He hadn't seen Polnareff in a while, he didn't know if the Frenchman was dead or not. This made him grimaced, but the feeling soon went away as he remembered all the good times he had with the Crusaders. If he had a face then an expression of a smile would be plastered on it.
Then was his mother and grandfather, Holly Joestar and Joseph Joestar. Jotaro remembered his relationship with his Mother, their relationship when he was younger was pleasant. He always tried to be the best son for his mother as possible, but his treatment of her changed when he got a Stand at 17, it all changed. He was.. honestly, Afraid. He distanced himself and put himself in a jail where he couldn't hurt anyone, especially his mother. But deep down, he loved her and she was just as kind and caring as any mother one would want. Now for the Old Man, Joseph.. He knew that he wasn't the nicest to him. But they both respected each other, and deep down Jotaro had loved the Old Man. He knew the Old Man felt the same way, Afterall, Joseph was his Grandfather.
A Non-Existent smirk would rise from Jotaro's face
Thinking about them was enough to bring joy into his heart. But what came next was regret, this came when he thought of Jolyne. She was his daughter, and only child. Thinking about her made him feel multiple different things at once. He has sacrificed his life for hers, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. But so what? He was a terrible father, he was barely there during her older years and didn't properly raise her. Of course, if he had a second chance, he would've raised her with all his being and love. But that was too late, it was over, he was dead and he would never see her again.
He only wished.. he only wished..
He could get a second chance.

Chapter 1: New Awakening
Lilia, The Maid
Brief Passage of Her Thoughts
Today was the day, she sighed, Master Paul and Lady Zenith first child would be born today. The Lady herself was currently in labor and the maid found herself helping her deliver the child because of the lack of a doctor.
It has been quite tense and difficult, but she managed. Although, this relief of the newly born baby was crushed. She didn't hear any cries or whimpers or any noise to indicate life. The Master and Lady also didn't hear any cries which greatly concerned them as much if not more than herself. But when she took a look at the child, she gasped. There appeared to be a star-like birthmark on his left shoulder, not to mention he seemed as if he was looking at his hands, then after a small pause, he looked at her. His piercing blue eyes met her own eyes.
"Lilia, is the baby alright?" Said Lady Zenith with a concerned tone, it almost looked as if tears were welling in her eyes.
Master Paul fears and worries were no different or less, he was simply speechless, no words could come out of his mouth. She believed, at the time, he assumed the worst.
But she did not answer or look at either of them. But instead the newly borned had been staring intently at her, his blue ocean-like eyes peering inside of her every being. The child opened its mouth, seemingly trying to convey a message. She seemed to find herself in a situation where she was caught in a trance. This child did not only understand her but was trying to communicate with her? She had soon snapped out of it though, instead she quickly wrapped the child in the blanket before the Master and Lady could worry any more than they had to.
"Oh, the baby is healthy, just quiet!" Lilia said with a reassuring tone and proceeded to hand them the baby.
In turn, Zenith wiped her eyes and took the babe into her arms. She watched them, well not really, more or less the Babe in Zenith's arms. He had fascinated her and gained her interest, but it was not in the maid's place to act or think upon that. Afterall, he was my Master and Lady's Son and she'd best just leave it be.
"Oh look at him, he has your eyes, Zenith!" Master Paul said with sparkles in his eyes.
Lady Zenith merely giggled at this, and cradled the child.
Chapter 1: New Awakening
Jotaro/Rudeus
"What the hell?" Said Jotaro internally, "where am I? And who the hell is this?" Jotaro added, looking at the maid holding him. He noticed that she was staring at him, which made him scoff. Although he didn't really care all that much, what he did care about was where he was. He had just been killed by Pucci and was trapped in darkness, now he was here. He raised his hands, eyes widening at the true size of them.
"T- These.. were infant hands..' Said Jotaro internally with shock filling his mind. Is this his new life? He pondered that briefly, Afterall, it would make sense. But what didn't make sense was how he still regained his memories. Jotaro wondered for a bit longer, and thought, 'Do I still have Star Platinum?'
He glanced at the maid once again, his eyes meeting hers, he stared in her purple eyes for a bit. She had reddish-brown hair and her eyes were purple or violet but he just decided it was purple. She seemed to be a maid for this family due to her maid uniform, she also seemed to be western perhaps from Europe. But there continued eye contact, which naturally prompted him to open his mouth to talk, but he was an infant and no words came out. This frustrated Jotaro for a bit but he soon got over the feeling. New thoughts were coming, 'Who is this?', 'Is she a maid for this family?', and things that brought more questions.
By the time he was thinking, he was being wrapped in a white large but comfortable cloth and was given to his 'parents'. They both also looked European, the man which he assumed was his 'father' was a muscular, muscular, green eyed man. He seemed to have light-brown hair and was the approximate height of 5'9. The woman, who is also assumed to be his 'mother' was laying down on the bed so he couldn't check her height. Although her general features were identified, she was a beautiful, blond-haired woman with bright blue ocean-like eyes. For some reason, he could feel his mother, Holly Joestar, inside this woman.
They began speaking, their language not like any language he had heard before. This raised more questions inside Jotaro's mind, but he could understand enough. He was watching the two love birds that were his parents. The man was making silly faces that made Jotaro want to punch him but he couldn't and if he could, he would've refrained himself. The mother on the other hand was giggling from her husband's antics.
After eavesdropping on his new parents' conversation, he learned new things. Well, not a lot, he couldn't understand their language afterall. But he had learned or assumed their names were Paul and Zenith while the maid was named Lilia. He soon found out his name was Rudeus.
Time had passed and he let out a sigh as he was placed on his bed like crib. 'It seems like I've truly been reborn..' Jotaro thought as he stared at the couple holding each other close while they happily looked at him.
They both held his tiny little hand, they just seemed to be staring at him, some brief conversation would happen between them but other than that, nothing. The Maid had also left at that time and it was just the three of them.
Jotaro was getting annoyed at their constant looks at them, and just rolled away closing his eyes. 'Yare yare daze.' he thought as he yawned. The parents noticed this and moved away, it seemed like they believed that their son, 'Rudeus' was tired. But truthfully, Jotaro wasn't, he just pretended to so they would back off.
A hour or two would pass, Jotaro turned to face the couple but it seemed like they were in their bed, sleeping. This would allow him to act on and find the answer to his biggest question. Did he still have Star Platinum? There was only one way to guess. He summoned Star Platinum through his mind and the answer was clear.
There before Jotaro was a 7 feet tall, flowing black haired, muscular, purple and blue skin colored humanoid. This brought a sigh of relief to come out of Jotaro baby mouth. But as this sigh came out, the father, Paul, jumped out of his bed. Jotaro was taken aback as Paul stared at Star Platinum, 'Could he see my Stand? Is he a Stand User!?' but any thoughts came to his mind. Something unexpected happened.
"Who's there!" Paul yelled, waking up Zenith in the process. "I see you!" Paul added with just as much volume.
'Quick! Should I bring him back?' Jojo thought but time was draining and he couldn't pull his stand back in time. 'Star Platinum, do something!' Jotaro said internally with haste, sending the message to his stand.
"Paul what's wrong?!" Zenith said with concern as she began to stand up.
"Stand back, Zenith!" He picked up his sword and began to walk closer, "I think we have an intruder and I'll take care of whoever it is.."
To Be Continued….
Author's Note:
Yoooo, thanks for reading!
This is my first (posted) story and I don't know if my pacing is good or not, in fact, I don't know if there is any problems (I do believe there is though) and I would take any criticism you guys will give me. (Not flaming though, that ain't cool)
Oh, and don't worry, no other stand users, I might add in some of the crusaders who died but other than that, no other stand users.
Also, I think I'll give Jotaro his 17 year old personality but with the knowledge of his whole life. I think with Star Platinum and Rudeus' massive mana pool, Jotaro will be overpowered. I also will make the plot different because the protagonist isn't Rudeus anymore but instead Jotaro and their personalities vary a lot. But the real question is, should I refer to him as Jotaro or Rudeus? Hmmmm
Anyways, that's all! Bai bai
Monocle Gentlesir out!
