Intro begins

It's a quiet morning in an unknown forest as a lone Beowolf is just minding its own business. Suddenly, it starts to hear music as it raises its head, trying to figure out where the source was coming from. The Beowolf turns around and sees a lone LATV4 come out of nowhere. the MG guns the Beowolf down instantly, its body during to dust as the vehicle goes right past it.

The screen then goes closer to the LAT, the camera introducing each of its occupants one at a time. Halo is shown first, holding on to the vehicle for dear life as the car swerves left and right. The screen then cuts to Seeker, who was the one who gunned down the Beowolf. He tries to yell something to the driver, but the car hits a bump and he falls to the ground. The camera finally shows the driver. Gremlin. Obviously enjoying himself as one of his arms is in the air while his other is on the wheel. Ignoring his comrade's pleas to slow down as he drives off a cliff. The camera backs up as it gets an undershot of the vehicle floating in the air for a while before it starts to fall on top of the camera.

The screen transitions to Team RWBY fighting a group of Grimm, they're about to get overrun when the LAT lands in front of them, the MG cutting the Grimm like a sharp blade to grass as the soldiers get out and start to fire at the threat. Team RWBY joins them as they push the creatures back. The screen then shows both the soldiers and Team RWBY aiming at it as they fire at the same time, various bullet holes and cracks litter the screen as it goes black

The screen shows General Ironwood, Professor Ozpin, and other important members of the other kingdoms looking at a picture of an F-35. Discussing the mysterious logo on it, and the flag on its side. They're talking about where the aircraft came from, if it's an enemy or ally, and what the hell USAF meant.

The camera then transitions to a group of American soldiers fighting some Grimm in a desert environment in front of some sort of portal, pushing them back until the Grimm fall back into the portal. It then cuts to a few days later, an American and No-Pat task force goes into the portal as they prepare for what they find on the other side.

The screen then finally shows Halo, Seeker, Gremlin, and Team RWBY on top of a pile of rubble, damaged buildings surround them as they face a large horde of Grimm in front of them. As they stand their ground, Little birds start to appear in the skies above them. M1A5s, M5C Boltes, and American and No-Pat troops join the fight as they aim their weapons at the horde of Grimm. The lead one, a combination of half horse and half man, lets out a large roar as the horde charges at the humans. The soldiers hold their ground, the camera gets closer to them. Halo, aiming his P90, Gremlin, holding his RPG, and Seeker, who's looking down the scope of his sniper rifle. The camera gets close in front of their barrels, they pull their triggers as the fire engulfs the entire screen. The screen goes black as it displays.

"Battlefield 2042: The Soldiers of Remnant"

Halo's POV

May 17th, 2044 | Remnant | Emerald Forest, Vale

It was another day in the Emerald Forest, wildlife just minding their own business. Birds chirping, deer grazing on the fresh grass, and the sky was peaceful as it was untouched by the effects of war.

As a group of dear was roaming in an opening of the forest, they stumbled onto an unconscious human body. At first look at the body, wonder fills their mind as they continue to eye the body. They start getting closer to it, either standing on him, licking his blood-soaked hands, or just staying right beside him.

?: "Ugh..."

The body groans, starting to slowly get up, and sits upright. Surprised to see that one of the deer was laying down on his legs, looking through his visor with interest. He slowly looked around to see more deer surrounding him, either laying down or standing beside him. He then looks back that the deer that was on him, softly petting its head while it accepts the small gesture.

?: "Um... Good deer?"

He whispered as he continued to scratch behind its ear, the deer enjoying the experience it was receiving. He continued to look around, finding himself in what seemed to be an opening in a large forest. He wipes the deer's saliva off his visor and slowly pushes it off of him, getting up as he does so.

?: 'Where the hell am I? Wait... This is a bloody deer?'

He thought as the deer got off him and left with its group, leaving the man all alone. He began to get up and off the ground, feeling the grass on his palms. Wait... Grass?

The man quickly looked at the ground, surprised to see grass instead of the sandy, cracked concrete of the building that he was in early. He heard birds and other wildlife around him, not even a hint of distant gunfire or the occasional exposition. He then looked up at the sky, with no sign of any aircraft or smoke anywhere. Wherever he was, it was a long way from where he was before.

?: "This... This isn't Afghanistan... "

The man says as he slaps himself hard in the face, trying to make sure that he wasn't dreaming.

?: "Y-Yep... Not a dream... Definitely not a dream"

He said, rubbing where he hit himself to ease off some of the pain. All he could remember is the T-28 about to kill him, and all he felt was some sort of heat and waking up here. Wherever here was...

?: 'Am I dead? Is this... Heaven?'

He thought as he looks around, noticing his backpack and his weapons lying down on the grass near him. He quickly gathers his gear as he sees his radio beside him. Although he wondered why they were with him, he quickly shrugged it off since now he at least had his stuff with him.

?: "Well. At least I got my radio with me."

He said as he picked it up, pressing the button on the side as he transmitted his message.

Halo: "This is Corporal Halo of the 17th Marine Divison. I'm currently lost and what seems to be some sort of forest. Does anyone read me? Over? I repeat. This is Corporal Halo of the 17th Marine Divison. Does anyone respond?"

Halo said into the radio, only to be met with silence and static as he waits. He tries again but the same results are given. He sighs as he places the radio on his shoulder and walks into the forest, looking for a way out or somewhere he could stay until he can regroup with his unit. As he walks through the dense forest, he sees various wildlife all around him. Birds are singing their songs, various mammals are minding their own business, and fish swimming upstream in a near lake. It reminded him of his home before the war.

Halo: "This definitely not Afghanistan... Where the bloody hell am I?"

Halo muttered as he crossed over a small stream, clutching his gear close to his body so he doesn't drop it. Pushing through the dense, lush plants that block his way as he continued through them. As he continues, he hears some movement behind him and quickly turns back, switching his P90 to full-auto as he aims at the general locations of the noises.

Halo: "If anyone is there... Identify yourself before I open fire alright?"

He waits for a few more seconds, his finger on the trigger as the bush starts to move more violently. He backs up slowly, preparing himself for whatever was coming his way. Then, all he could hear was silence. Halo didn't know why but he had a bad feeling about this as he kept looking around him, turning in every direction for any sign of movement. In his experience, the silence was the worse thing you could hear. Soldiers often preferred to hear the distant explosions and gunfire rather than silence since both sides were used to it. Heck, he sometimes found soldiers who stayed up the entire night just to stand guard.

After a while, Halo lowered his weapon, thinking that whatever was near him earlier was just some of the local wildlife. He was about to leave when all of a sudden, he felt something on the back of his helmet and heard someone behind him.

?: "Drop your weapon...Now..."

Halo quickly did what he was told and lowered his P90, softly kicking it behind him to the person that was holding him prisoner.

?: "Turn around and raise your hands..."

Halo sighed as he slowly turned around, keeping his hands in the air. When he saw his attacker, they both looked at each other blankly as he lower his weapon.

?: "Wait... You're an American?"

He asked, confused after what just happened.

Halo: "Um... Yeah? Is the patch not saying anything mate?

Halo asked as he pointed to the US flag on his vest. His attacker then quickly lowered his rifle as he apologized to him.

?: "Sorry about that. I was lost and thought you were a Russian. I was planning to ask where we were but it seems like we both lost."

Halo: "It's fine mate."

He said as grabbed his P90 from the soldier, who looked a little awkward at him.

Halo: "So, who are you?

?: "Oh, sorry. My name is-"

Gremlin's POV

May 17th, 2044 | Remnant | Emerald Forest, Vale | 20 minutes after Halo's failed message

A group of birds was minding their own business, picking up worms and seeds off the ground. It was just another day for them. But soon it would be disturbed by some unknown force. As they continued to pick the group, a bright light appears in front of them, startling them as they fly away.

?: "Agh! Get it off! Get it off!"

The man screamed as he dropped to the ground, struggling as the light dissipates from his body. It soon disappears, leaving the man alone as there is no sign of it remaining anywhere.

?: "What the hell was that!?"

He screamed as he got up, gripping his rifle tightly as he looked around his surroundings. His breathing was heavy at first but soon went to a calm state as he took a minute to relax. He lowered his rifle, trying to figure out everything that just happened. When suddenly, he noticed that he wasn't in the same place that he was in before.

?: "Where the hell am I?"

He was surprised to see nothing but an endless forest surrounding him. Instead of the desolate village that he was in earlier, he was in a small opening of the forest. Birds singing replaced the explosions and gunfire that was in the distance. The smell of trees and grass was all around, not even a hint of gunpowder was in the air. The green, luscious forest looked completely untouched, with no signs of fighting or landmarks from past battles.

?: "Ok... This is the last time I drink before a mission. But where am I? This isn't Afghanistan."

He said as he got up from the ground, looking at his surroundings. Remembering the radio on his shoulder, he quickly looked down and grabbed the radio, pressing the button. Hoping that someone will find him and tell him where the hell he was.

Gremlin: "This is Specialist Gremlin of the 24th No-Pat Recon Division. Does anyone hear me? Please respond."

He said into the radio, only to be met with static. He tried again but noticed that it was damaged. The two halves were not aligned with each other. A part of it was exposed, showing the insides and the wires with some of them sparking. He must have damaged it when he was rolling on the ground.

Gremlin "Damn it!"

He cursed as he threw it to the ground. It sparked a little more as smoke started to come from it before it caught on fire.

Gremlin: "Oh crap!"

He said while stomping on it, trying to put the fire out before it spread to the surrounding trees. After he was finished, he looked under his boot. The radio was now a complete pile of useless broken parts. The wires were either burnt, tangled, or heavily damaged to even be salvaged. Its antenna was a crumpled mess as it sparked again, causing the AT gunner to stomp on it again, just to be sure.

Gremlin: "... Why did I do that? I could have repaired it but now it's useless!"

Gremlin screamed in anger, kicking the pile in a fit of rage before calming down. He then looked around when he noticed his gear and weapons were on the forest floor beside him, waiting for him to pick them up.

Gremlin: "Well that's ironic..."

He muttered as he picked them up, slinging the backpack and the RPG on his back. He then pulled the magazine out of his rifle, checking the ammo before loading back into it. The AT gunner then digs into his backpack to count the extra ammo within it.

Gremlin: 'Let's see. I've got 6 rockets, 7 magazines for the SFAR, and about 6 magazines for the Glock. That should last for a while until I either run out of ammo or somehow find more.'

He thought as he finished counting his ammo, placing two magazines from his rifle and sidearm on his front pocket vest and the rest into his backpack. He then looked at the surrounding forest, thinking about where to go next.

Gremlin: "Ok let's see... Where to go... Aha! Eenie meenie miney... Mo!"

The AT gunner shouted out, pointing in a random direction into the forest. He then went into the forest, confident that his decision was the best option that he made.

5 minutes later

Gremlin: "Yep! I'm lost."

He said, looking all around him. This was a huge change from his environment earlier. Instead of the normal desert, all he saw were trees that look the same. No obvious landmarks that he could see, and even if there were, he wouldn't see them due to trees blocking his vision. He couldn't even figure out where he came from.

Gremlin: "Next time, I'm never trusting my sense of direction ever again."

He joked as he continue through the forest, mindlessly wandering around as he looked for any sign of civilization or even a place where he could figure out where he was. He soon saw a tree and stopped beside it, sitting down under it as he began to rest.

Gremlin: 'Let's see. If I can't find the way out of here. I might as well set up camp soon an-'

?: "If anyone is there... Identify yourself before I open fire alright?"

Gremlin's thoughts were disrupted as his blood ran cold when he heard those words near him. He thought that someone must have sneaked up beside him without him knowing. He took a deep breath and raised his hands in the air as he got up from the tree. As he stepped out, he saw a soldier, aiming his SMG at a bush. To his surprise, and in his favor, the soldier didn't see him. Instead, all of his focus was directed in the opposite direction of the AT gunner. Gremlin quickly ducked behind the tree again, switching the safety off on his SFAR as he prepared to attack the unknown soldier.

Gremlin: 'Ok. Ok. Calm down. It's possible that they didn't see you yet. Just calm down.'

He peaked a little, the soldier was still occupied with the moving bush. If this soldier was patrolling the area, he might give him some intel on where he was and how to get out of this forest. Gremlin made up his mind as he crept behind the unsuspecting man, keeping his rifle aimed at his head as he got up close to him, placing the muzzle on the back of the man's helmet.

Gremlin: "Drop your weapon...Now..."

The soldier slowly complied as he lowered his SMG, kicking it behind him as the AT gunner picked it up and aimed it at the man's back.

Gremlin: "Turn around and raise your hands..."

The man slowly began to turn around as the AT gunner had a better view of him. The man had a red cross on his shoulder, depicting that he was some sort of medic. His gear was more lightweight compared to Gremlin's gear, which was made for heavy caliber rounds and the occasional explosion that got too close for comfort. On top of it all, he had a small American flag on the front of his vest. His mask and visor may have covered his face, but he could tell that the medic was a little scared with all that was happened.

Gremlin: "Wait... You're an American?"

He asked, lowering his weapons to show the medic that he wasn't going to hurt him.

?: "Um... Yeah? Is the patch not saying anything mate?

The man said as he pointed one of his fingers to the patch on his vest. The AT gunner mentally punched himself in the gut for threatening an ally, what's worse was that he was a medic. He quickly apologized to the medic while yelling at himself for doing something like this.

(Remember. It's only a war crime if someone reports it | Geneva Convention = Geneva Suggestion)

Gremlin: "Sorry about that. I was lost and thought you were a Russian. I was planning to ask where we were but it seems like we both lost."

?: "It's fine mate."

He then returned the P90 to the medic, trying his best to hide his embarrassment from the start of their encounter.

?: "So, who are you?"

Gremlin: "Oh, sorry. My name is Specialist Gremlin of the 24th No-Pat Recon Division. But you can just call me Gremlin or G for short. What's yours?

Halo: "Corporal Halo of the 17th Marine Division. Nice to meet you mate."

Halo then offered his hand for the AT gunner to shake, which he accepted gladly as he thought about the medic's name.

Gremlin: "Nice to meet y- Wait. Did you say Halo?"

Halo: "Um... Yeah? What about it?"

Gremlin: "You were the guy who called for AT support right?"

Halo: "Yeah... Wait. Were you my AT support?

Halo asked, a little baffled that they knew each other even though they only exchanged a few words. Halo started to beat himself up since the first and only time that they talked to each other, he was yelling at him.

Gremlin: "Yeah, I am. When I got there, I took the T-28 out. I looked around for you and thought that you were dead."

Halo: "Oh, T-That's good..."

Halo said as he scratched the back of his neck, trying to hide his embarrassment but Gremlin saw through it.

Gremlin: "Uh, are you ok Halo?"

Halo: "Y-Yeah. Just kinda embarrassed that I somewhat yelled at you when we first talked. Sorry for that by the way."

Gremlin: "Eh, no worries. I'm quite used to it so I don't mind."

He replied, chuckling as he tried to make a joke from his response. Halo caught on to it quickly and chuckled too.

Halo: "Yeah, thanks mate."

The two continued to laugh a little before they got complete control of themselves and stopped laughing.

Halo: "Ok. But in all seriousness. Where the hell are we?"

Gremlin: "Wait. You don't know? I thought you knew."

Halo shook his head as Gremlin looked at him.

Halo: "Nope, not a clue. I was about to be killed by the T-28 when I woke up in some clearing in the forest. What about you? How did you get here?"

The AT gunner put one of his hands on the bottom of his mouth as he tried to remember how he got there.

Gremlin: "Well. After I got to your position... I found some sort of necklace on the ground... While I was holding my position, I saw the necklace emit some sort of light and engulf me and my gear entirely... Next thing I know, I'm here."

Halo: "Wait. Necklace? Did it have a small, white crystal on it?"

Gremlin nodded, confirming Halo's suspicions as he dug into his vest pockets, looking for the necklace the wounded soldier gave him earlier but came up empty while Gremlin watched in confusion.

Gremlin: "Um. Halo? What are you doing?"

Halo: "I-I... Some wounded soldier gave me that necklace, asking me to keep it safe in case he died. I took it with me during the entire engagement... It must have brought me here the same way it did with you. Do you have it?"

Gremlin shook his head.

Gremlin: "No. When it started to light up, I threw it to the ground and tried to run away. When I got here, the necklace was nowhere to be found."

Halo signed. This was bad news for both of the soldiers. That necklace was the only way for them to get back, but without it, they were stuck this some unknown place.

Halo: sigh "Ok, that's fine... We can just figure out how to get back later. For now, le-"

?: "Сдавайтесь, сукины дети! (Surrender now you sons of a bitches!)"

The two soldiers quickly turned around, aiming their weapons at the unknown hostile as they all keep their fingers on the trigger, ready to fire if the other fired first.

Искатель (Seeker's) POV

May 17th, 2044 | Remnant | Emerald Forest, Vale | 9 minutes before Halo's and Gremlin's first contact

A small group of fish was swimming up through a stream of water, minding their business when they suddenly they see a large flash of light above. On instinct, they start to swim away, frighten by what they thought was a large animal.

On the surface | The shore of the creek

It was a quiet morning in Emerald Forest as a group of fish was running from a bright, scaring them all away as the light grew even brighter and brighter. Suddenly, the entire light disappears as a man and a necklace appear where the light once was. The man is yelling in some sort of unknown language as he gets off the ground, aiming his rifle at the necklace as he backs up.

?: "Что это было, черт возьми!? Как, черт возьми, он это сделал!? (What the hell was that!? How the hell did it do that!?)"

The man screamed as he got up and away from the necklace, which now lies dormant on the sandy ground. He stands still for a few moments, keeping his finger on the trigger as he aimed his rifle at the necklace, ready to fire if the necklace did something like that again.

?: "Как, черт возьми, он это сделал? Это был какой-то... Подожди. Где я, черт возьми!? (How the hell did it do that? Was it some so- Wait. Where the hell am I!?)"

He noticed that his surroundings have changed drastically. Around him was a small stream and an untouched green forest that replaced the war-torn village that he was in. He looked up, seeing that it was a bright sunny day, not hindered by any smoke or aircraft. He tried to calm down, taking deep breaths as fresh air filled his lungs, not a hint of gunpowder to dust from debris found anywhere.

?: "Где я, черт возьми, нахожусь!? Это не Афган... (W-Where the hell am I!? This isn't Afghan-)"

Author: "Yeah. Yeah. This isn't Afghanistan. We get it! Seriously, how many times will this be said in the story?"

?: "Подождите. Кто вы? (Wait. Who are you?)"

Author: "Joe."

?: "Джо? Какой Джо? (Joe? Joe who?)"

Author: "Joe Ma-"

(Sorry for this, just the result of a rant about how many times I wrote "This isn't Afghanistan". Back to the story)

?: "Где я, черт возьми, нахожусь!? Это не Афганистан! (W-Where the hell am I!? This isn't Afghanistan!)"

While taking a look around, he noticed that his gear was on the sandy ground beside him. On instinct, he quickly dug through his backpack and pulled out a radio from it. He quickly browsed through the channels until he found a certain one.

(This is Specialist Seeker of the 3rd Russian Recon Division. Does anyone copy? I am currently in an unknown location and I don't know where the hell I am. I repeat. Does anyone read me?)"

Nothing. His only response was silence as the radio didn't reply. He tried again, switching it to another channel.

Seeker: "Это специалист "Искатель" из 3-й российской дивизии разведки. Кто-нибудь копирует? Кто-нибудь, пожалуйста, ответьте. Прием. (This is Specialist Seeker of the 3rd Russian Recon Division. Does anyone copy? Someone please respond. Over.)

Again, nothing. He was about to try again but he soon gave up when he noticed something on his wristpad. He placed his radio on his shoulder as he investigated whatever his wristpad picked up.

Seeker: "Что за? Что это, черт возьми, такое? (What the? What the hell is this?)

He saw something on his minimap that was just a few miles away from him. It didn't recognize what it picked up and labeled it as an "Unknown Signal" on the map.

Seeker: "Хм. Неизвестный сигнал? (Huh. An unknown signal?)"

He thought for a few seconds. He was in unknown territory, all alone, and with no contact with any of his allies. Not like they were going to help him anyways since they pretty much left him to his own devices. His mind was conflicted with various thoughts before he finally made up his mind.

Seeker: "Ну... Этот так называемый сигнал - мой лучший шанс выяснить, где я, черт возьми, нахожусь, и, возможно, это мой единственный способ вызвать спасателей... К черту. (Well... This so-called signal is my best bet to figure out where the hell I am and possibly could be my only way to call for extraction... Screw it.)"

Seeker muttered as he grabbed his gear, slinging both his backpack and sniper rifle on his shoulders as he started his trek to the source of the unknown signal. Hoping that it could give him some answers about where he was or at least contact some of his allies.

6 minutes later.

Seeker was getting closer to the signal, almost hovering over the source as he followed the designated.

Seeker: 'Будем надеяться, что это будут товарищеские матчи... (Let's hope that they're friendlies...)'

He thought as he got closer, reaching the edge of what seemed to be some sort of opening in the forest.

Seeker: 'Вот... Вот отсюда идет сигнал... Но ч... (Here... This is where the signal is coming from... But wh-)'

His thoughts were disturbed when he saw a soldier, who thankfully didn't notice him yet. He quickly ducked into a small group of bushes, hoping to hide himself in them.

Unfortunately, the unknown soldier heard him and quickly turned around, barely missing the sniper as he aimed his SMG at the bush.

?: "If anyone is there... Identify yourself before I open fire alright?"

The sniper held his breath, trying his best to stay as still as possible. A soldier, probably an American due to the American flag on his vest, was about to discover him. He aimed his ADS at the soldier's head, getting ready to take his life if it came to it.

?: "Drop your weapon...Now..."

He heard another voice come from behind the American. He took a little peak behind the soldier, seeing another one demanding that he surrenders himself while both of them were clueless about the Russian's presence.

Seeker: "Слава Богу... Они не видели меня... (Thank God... They didn't see me...)"

He muttered under his breath, thankful that they were too occupied with each other that the American didn't reveal his position.

Seeker: 'Теперь... Мы ждем... (Now... We wait...)'

He thought as he adjusted his position, getting comfortable while waiting to see how this would turn out...

3 minutes later

Seeker had been silently watching from the shadows, gathering more intel on the two soldiers. He recognized the Polish AT gunner as the one that he was about to kill before he was transported here. And it seemed like the AT gunner, also known as "Gremlin", knew the American, who was called "Halo".

Seeker: "Итак... Пулеметчик собирался помочь этому американцу... И оба были доставлены сюда так же, как и я... Интересно... (So... The AT gunner was going to going to help this American... And both were transported here the same way I was... Interesting...)"

Halo: "Wait. Necklace? Did it have a small, white crystal on it?"

Halo said as Gremlin nodded to the medic, causing him to quickly search his pockets.

Seeker: 'Ожерелье... Подожди... (Necklace... Wait...)'

Seeker quickly dug into one of his pockets as Halo was describing what the necklace looked like. He pulled it out, it looked the exact same as Halo described it.

Halo: "I-I... Some wounded soldier gave me that necklace, asking me to keep it safe in case he died. I took it with me during the entire engagement... It must have brought me here the same way it did with you. Do you have it?"

Gremlin: "No. When it started to light up, I threw it to the ground and tried to run away. When I got here, the necklace was nowhere to be found."

Seeker: 'Да... Об этом... (Yeah... About that...)'

Seeker had a choice here. It seemed Halo knew a little more about the necklace than he does and that intel could be vital to his return back. But then again, does he really want to reveal himself this early? There might be two of them, but they couldn't handle a Russian specialist... Right?

Seeker: 'Черт возьми... К черту... Мне нужны сведения... (God damn it... Screw it... I need the intel...)'

He said as he quickly jumped out of his hiding place, aiming his ADS at the two soldier's backs.

Halo: sigh "Ok, that's fine... We can just figure out how to get back later. For now, le-"

Seeker: "Сдавайтесь, сукины дети! (Surrender now you sons of a bitches!)"

He yelled out, causing the medic and AT gunner to spin around and pull out their weapons too. The three soon found themselves at a standpoint, waiting for the other to make their move...

3rd Person POV

May 17th, 2044 | Remnant | Emerald Forest, Vale | Present

The three soldiers aimed their weapons at each other. Halo and Gremlin aimed directly at Seeker, both aiming either at his chest or his head. While Seeker aimed at both of them, temporarily switching targets from the medic to the AT gunner...

Halo: "..."

Gremlin: "..."

Seeker: "..."

Halo: "So..."

Gremlin and Seeker: " Shut it / Заткнись..."

Halo: "Shutting up..."

Halo quickly said, looking down a little in embarrassment before he completely lowered his P90 away from Seeker, shocking Gremlin completely by surprise while he kept his SFAR aimed at Seeker.

Gremlin: "Halo what the hell are you doing!?"

Gremlin yelled, causing Seeker to aim his rifle back at him.

Halo: "C'mon Gremlin. All of us are literally lost in some unknown forest. We need all the help we can get right now."

He then turned to Seeker, raising his arms in the air as he approached him.

Halo: "Как насчет этого, приятель. Давай отбросим наши разногласия и просто будем работать вместе, хорошо? Мы можем поссориться позже. А сейчас давай просто уберемся из этого чертова леса, хорошо? Договорились? (How about this mate. Let's just put aside our differences and just work together alright? We can fight later. Right now, let's just get out of his bloody forest alright? Deal?)

Seeker hesitated for a moment. Could this medic really be willing to set aside their differences for a moment to just get out of here? No, this has to be a trick...

But... He does need to get out of here and regroup with his forces... And these two enemy soldiers his best bet... So for now, he'll just keep the necklace for now...

Seeker: "... Fine... But if you try something funny..."

He said as he tapped his rifle.

Seeker: "I shoot..."

Halo: "Fine... As long as you don't shoot first..."

Gremlin slowly lowered his rifle from Seeker as he breathed a sigh of relief.

Gremlin: "Well... I'm glad that's o- Wait... Halo you speak Russian? And you speak English?"

Gremlin said as he pointed at the sniper.

Halo: "Oh. Yeah, I do. I also know a few more languages since I deal with a lot of patients.

Seeker: "And I have been all across Europe and Asia. Picked up few words here and there."

He said as he turned to Seeker again.

Halo: "So. What's your name Ruski?"

Seeker: "... Seeker... And never call me Ruski... Understand?"

He said to the medic, obviously annoyed by the name Halo gave him.

Halo: "O-Oh... Yes, of course. Sorry for calling you that mate."

Gremlin: "Well... Sorry to interrupt your guy's moment. But we still go one problem..."

Halo: "Umm... What is it?"

Gremlin: "We have no idea where we are, how we got here, or even where to go. What now?"

Halo: "Yeah... Well..."

Halo muttered as he looked back into the forest, trying to figure out where they should head next.

Halo: "Ok let's see... Where to go... Aha! Eenie meenie miney... Mo! It's been decided, lads! We're going to way."

Halo declared as he grabbed his gear and started to walk in the direction that he pointed in, confident that his sense of direction would help them.

Seeker: "Well... It's better than wandering around mindlessly."

He said to Gremlin as he started to follow the medic, not even bothering to wait for the AT gunner.

Gremlin: "Why am I getting deja vu? H-Hey! Wait for me!"

He said as he ran after them, trying to catch up before they all left him behind.

But for what they didn't know... Someone else was watching... Someone who would answer some of their many questions and give them many more questions than answers given...

Unknown POV

Undisclosed Location, Vale / Present

A man is sitting in his office on top of the Beacon Tower. He looked to be a middle-aged man, wore shaded glass spectacles, and a small, purple, cross-shaped pin around his neck.

His attire consisted of an unzipped black suit, a dark green buttoned vest, and a green shirt. Wearing black trousers shoes and long, dark green pants.

He was checking through what seemed to be some sort of surveillance system covering the entire Emerald Forest, each camera carefully hidden within the trees so they couldn't be seen with the naked eye, sipping on a cup of coffee from time to time.

?: "Hm... Interesting..."

He said as he watched the three soldiers walk through the woods. Their clothing was strange, dirty yellow and brown covered his clothes that stand out in the green forest. They all wore helmets of the same color, with masks and visors that covered all of their faces so he couldn't see what they looked like. But their weapons, their weapons were completely foreign to the weapons that he was accustomed to.

?: "Their weapons, clothing, even some of their language is something I've never seen nor heard before. Just where did they all of this?..."

He muttered to himself as an elevator rang behind him, causing him to turn around to see who it was.

?: "Evening Professor. Why did you call me here?"

The unknown man fixed his glasses as he placed his cup on the table, stepping back to give her a view of the camera feed to her as he pointed to the three soldiers.

?: "I have a mission for you... Ms. Glynda..."

(A/N) So... How did I do?
