Chapter Fourteen

By the time morning came in Ottery St. Catchpole, Xeno had two new ads to post in his next edition, each one unique. The first one read:

To the lost ones: Magical twins at your disposal. Ready for transport at a moment's notice

The second one read:

To the lost ones: Moony in search of his lost cub. If found, please meet the first Saturday after the full moon at the Fireside Tavern in Wizarding Boston.

He hadn't had this many ads at one time going to the same group, he was half tempted to write one to his little moon beam. Just to make sure she was doing okay and was happy in whatever she was doing, he didn't except her come home. He just wanted to know that she was safe, it didn't matter where she lived or what she was doing as long as she was safe, that's all that mattered.

So, he went about his day getting the next edition of the Quibbler, putting his monthly codes, putting in his sponsors and the many ads he got a on a daily basis. Most of the ads were centered around the ones that were missing from the war, then you had the ads he was posting this time. With a second thought, he wrote his own ad to his little moonbeam.

To Moonbeam: You are missed. Stay safe and hope to see you in the Future ~Dad~

Before he could stop himself, he set the ad in stone so to speak and started getting everything ready for the next printing. Publishing a paper isn't as easy as one might think, a lot of work goes into making sure everything is in order before the next printing. That's why there was only one edition a month plus he was a one man team, the writer, the editor, and the publisher; he knew that he should hire some help and teach them how to publish but he was waiting out on hope foe Newspaper mad grandchildren, someone he could pass the Quibbler down to and retire.

That same morning saw Dumbledore yet again pacing the floor of his office, his Phoenix Fawkes just watched as his companion walked the floor. He knew that Dumbledore was loosing not only his mind but the war, the Dark Lord was on the verge of taking over the Castle completely and then he would set his sights on the world around them. Britian was just a steppingstone, he wanted to be bigger and accomplish more than Grindelwald did before Dumbledore tricked him into being locked in his own fortress turn Prison.

Many thought there was a huge battle between the former paramours but in truth Dumbledore waited until he was in weakened state and took the battle over in his favor. He locked his former lover away from world so he couldn't harm another soul, then he declared himself the defeater of Grindelwald and soaked up the attention that his way.

Now he doesn't have a way to defeat the new Dark Lord like he did with Grindelwald, his only leverage disappeared almost two years ago, and he still hasn't found him yet. Without Harry the Wizarding world is doomed to be destroyed and the Dark Lord wouldn't pee on the ashes, instead he would rebuild it in his image. Gone would the days Muggleborns could walk freely among Purebloods and Half-bloods, even half-bloods would be subjected inspections on an almost daily basis.

Fred and George were up bright and early that morning, they still had a lot of packing to do, and they needed to talk to their respective girlfriends. They wanted to see if they were willing to move to Muggle America with them, they really didn't want to leave them behind, not with the war going on. Muggleborns were being targeted and they knew it was just a matter of time Half-bloods were next on the target followed closely by blood traitors like the Weasley's. That's they told Bill and Charlie to stay where they were, Charlie was safe in Romania with his dragons and Bill was safe in the Veela community in which Fleur's family belonged to in France.

Now they just needed to know if the girls wanted to go with them, then everything would be perfect. That morning was beyond hectic, they needed to finish packing and shrinking, they needed to empty out their Vault and take their money with them. They already told Lee Jordan to run and not look back, they would have taken him with them but they he would have never left his family behind, that's what worried them about the girls. Would they be willing to leave their families behind just to follow the twins all the way to America?

They knew they had to ask with the next couple months, it gave them time to get a response back from the ad they posted. Then they were planning on taking a Muggle Airplane to New York and registering with the Ministry of Magic there hoping to claim asylum from Magical Britian. While they were waiting for approval, they would search the ads of the Quibbler for any word from the Lost Ones.

While they were packing both Angelina and Katie showed up, they noticed the boxes and asked what was going on. "We're leaving in the next couple of months, we can't stay here when it's a matter of time Blood traitors are hunted down and killed. Even half-bloods aren't safe unless they are useful to the Dark Lord in some way, people like Snape have it made he was in before the law, so he has a grandfather clause. He can't be killed unless it's by the hand of the Dark Lord himself and as long as he brews his Potions, he is safe.

"Please think about coming with, we plan on throwing ourselves on the mercy of the American Ministry of Magic. Telling them truth of the war going on here and how bad it's getting, how muggleborns are being hunted down in streets like vermin. Telling them that Dumbledore put all his chips on a young man just to have that young man break free from his grasp and disappear." George said for the two of them since Fred wasn't always good with his words.

Katie and Angelina just stood there not sure of what to say, they were just coming to say goodbye. They too were planning to leave before half-bloods were hunted down in the streets next, but to have Fred and George wanting to take them to American with them it was a game changer for sure. It's like the snitch coming out of nowhere and having your seeker catch it just in time to win the game, the girls really didn't have to think about it. Their parents told them if they had a chance to run to take it and not look back, that they would be fine.

So, the girls stepped off to the side and spoke to make sure they were on the same page, then Angelina spoke up "We agree to go with you to America, they have a better advancement programs for Half-bloods and Muggleborns unlike here were you can't advance in your chosen career unless you were a pureblood."

Fred and George just smiled and handed the girls a box each and continued to pack up their store, finally they did all they could do for the day and went to go empty out their vaults. As they were walking back, they spotted their mother trying to break into their now empty store with her was the evil duo of Ron and Ginny. So, they disillusioned themselves and went to see what they were talking about. "I thought you said that they still open for business, they need to know their father died and they need to come home to support us. I have tried both Bill and Charlie, but the letters keep getting returned and Percy doesn't give one iota about the family. You need to get your lies straight Ronald, after Harry leaving was your fault after all. If you had just given that stupid bint Granger the time of day instead of chasing Lavender's short skirt, Harry wouldn't have left, and we would have had the money owed to us." Molly said as she tried the doors again, thinking that they would just magically open for her.

So, their father was dead huh, looks like they needed to move up their timeline to sooner rather than later. Sneaking back to where they left the girls, they ducked just into Knockturn Alley to wear they wouldn't be seen by the terrible trio. They told the girls everything that they overheard and planned to meet back up at their flat above the store later that night and to leave from there. They will stay in the Muggle world until the get answer back in the Quibbler and then they will take off from there, Katie volunteered her Muggle grandparents home. It hadn't been put on the market yet and nobody knew where it was to begin with, so it was the perfect hideout.

The girls would take turns coming into Diagon Alley to buy the Quibbler so they can check for the answer to their ad. They told the girls to take the back stairs up to the Flat so that they wouldn't be seen in case Molly was still watching and waiting for the twins to make an appearance. After the girls left the boys reapplied the charm and snuck quietly upstairs, they continued to watch them from the living room window. It took awhile but the three of them left in hopes of coming back the next and seeing that they were open for business.

As the night settled across Wizarding Britian Mia, Pandora, James, and Frank started their day, Mia went to morning mass with Murphy and Conor, Pandora went the bakery down the street from their flat and ordered breakfast while James went to work early at the Meat Packing Plant. Frank well he had yet to return from New York, he of course told them their story after gaining the secrecy oaths he wanted. Queenie's namesake just loved him and promised to help him in any way of getting his parents back, with Jacob the jury was out still.

He knew all too well that if Dumbledore wanted something he would get it no matter the cost to other's around him, he never really like Dumbledore when he first met him all those years ago at Hogwarts. He thought he was to full of himself and exaggerated his magic, Dumbledore hadn't won any points with Jacob Kowalski.

To hear that Dumbledore raised two boys up to be slaughter just didn't sit right with him, little boys needed to be coddle and loved by their parents not told on a daily basis that they will never live up to their father's image. Some of his children may have been magical but it didn't mean he loved his non-magical son any less, it just meant he had more in common with his son. Whereas his daughter's took after their mother in both looks and magic department, then went a step further and joined the Auror Corps like their Aunt Tina.

He son joined him in the bakery and help expand all the way down to Boston, where his granddaughter ran by herself. Now she brought home a pureblood wizard living as Muggle in Boston and what a contradiction that was; then when he explained why he was living as Muggle, Jacob understood a bit more. Now with the help if his lovely wife, Frank might have a chance to bring his parents back from the brink of insanity; but first he had to convince his Gran of his plan.

Frank was unsure as to how to get in contact with his Gran without Dumbledore finding out he was writing her it was the younger Queenie that suggested using one of their personal Owls. They always got their post to their intended targets without interference, so Frank sat down and put to paper,

Dearest Gran,

I write this letter in high hopes all is well with you and Uncle Algie. The reason I am writing this letter after all this time is because I am getting married. She is not the type of girl I am sure you would have wished I would marry but she is perfect for me, she is a second generation Squib who's grandmother fought on the front lines in the war against Grindelwald along with her sister. I have been living in muggle American working as a Meat Packer which means a lot of manual labor, I met my intended at a Muggle Coffee shop one morning on the way to work.

I have recently found out that the medical field here in both the muggle and wizarding world had grown by leaps and bounds. In some cities they work side by side to help their patients, I would like your permission Mother and Father's Guardian in all things medical to let me bring to them America to see if the Healers here can help or not. I also wanted to let you know I am not alone in Muggle America, Harry, Hermione, and Luna Lovegood have all joined me and I except the Weasley twins will be joining us in the matter of months.

We each changed our names, Harry and I honor our father's by using their first names, Luna chose to use her mother's name and Hermione just shortened hers a bit. Please honor my request to bring Mother and Father to America, I await your Owl.

Sincerely,

Neville

Upon finishing the letter and going over it several times to make sure it was something his Gran would except to write when writing such a formal letter. Taking a deep breath, he folded the letter and tied it to the Owl waiting for it, "Please take this to Augusta Longbottom at Longbottom Manor." He told the Owl just before it took off. It was too late now to back out and run for the hills taking Queenie with him, he just hoped his Gran would agree; he knew he was doing the right thing by trying to get the help his parents so desperately needed.
