Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Acidic Allies. Enjoy the 5300-word chapter. I do not own MHA Shonen Jump, Kohei Horikoshi, and a few others do.
If Aace was amused by anything, it was how Mina acted. She was a very silly woman, a very silly woman at the end of the day, something about her actions amused him.
Mina was far too amused, far too thrown off now. She was herself and if that happened? Well, she was always going to be odd when it came down to it… She had been odd, very odd.
Mina immersed herself in mud, the homework in front of her… If he had not been helping her? he doubted it would ever be done at all.
She looked at him and almost splashed him with the wet dirt she sat in. He had so many questions about it all that he had been too disturbed to properly fix it for now.
Mina was disturbed, and she would remain disturbed by it… By the dreaded homework.
It almost made him too tired, something about it all had been harder and harder for him to relax for now.
"You know, that is not going to help your homework, right? It does not magically make it go away." Aace stated before he sighed, someway and somehow? He would be asked to do homework.
Mina sighed, sinking into the mud till it almost raised itself to her face.
Aace hummed to himself before he looked to the side, something which he had been too tired at the time and for a good reason.
Aace almost laughed to himself before realizing that Mina was doing this for a reason. She was trying to have fun for one and pull his attention off the homework which he had relaxed upon dealing with.
She knew this was a lot more amusing for now… For now? They held onto something far more amusing for now… They had a lot more to try and deal with.
Something on his mind pulling him back and forth from now… It had been easier for now, something at the time.
She and he had been too interested in different things when it came down to trying and figure it out. Something about it all made Aace almost chuckle as he realized very quickly that something had gone all to hell back and forth.
It was nothing short of chaos that only he could reconcile with, only he could submit with. it was odd but it was part of being all he could have been… Something about that just made it more amusing.
Both had been harder and harder to deal with for now… It had been harder and harder to reconcile it with every single desire to learn how it was being dealt with now.
It had been more than one could or should have possibly admitted it was, not that either would have been like for now… Something about it all had been too interested in it all before he sighed to himself.
She and he had to be dealt with for now… They had a lot more to try and figure out as of the time being… Something which had been cutthroat… Something had been cut through.
Aace sighed and knew he would regret it… But he slowly dipped himself into the mud, knowing that he had plenty of time to handle written homework.
Granted? It was still worth something. Mina still seemed to smirk, thinking of it as a small little game… Something like this was fun.
She seemed to be thinking of something as she sunk slightly in the mud, it was only something that he could not have been dealing with now, and for good reason.
Mina was weird. He would not think that despite his brain… But he was amused by that… He was very unwilling not to joke about it all now back and forth.
"You are so childish, Mi. 'I cannot do math despite being able to breakdance, I cannot handle the homework, Aace. I cannot!' I mean, you can just ask for…" Aace heard before something smacked his face.
That something was mud… Very wet and slimy mud.
'Ok… I am going to drown her.' Aace thought before he casually picked up a piece of mud and then slung it at her head.
One could call Aace childishly immature for that… He would respond with the fact that he WAS a child… And as such? He did not CARE how that address was used.
Mina blinked as mud dripped down from her horns onto her eyes. She looked at Aace who shrugged, merely content to do so.
She took a deep breath and then she looked at Aace…
Then she leaped on him and dragged both into the pits of mud.
(2 Hours later)
Aace snorted and exchanged his shirt for a towel… The parts of him that were not drenched in mud were where he tried to keep the sheet of homework.
Mina was still caked in mud despite 2 or 3 showers next to him. Mina seemed to be amused as Aace tried to fix their homework.
Mina looked over his shoulder for a moment as both looked at the metal-controlling hero. It was clear that both had very different ideas now of what to do and what not to do.
Granted, to Aace? He did not seem to care so long as he could hang out with her. She was rather happy to have a friend willing to help her when it came down to it.
Granted? Aace was still trying her patience at times but it was worth it to her as she realized he was trying his best to help despite it all, one would need to deal with for now.
He simply sighed and realized that he would be stuck with Mina despite his best efforts… Something about it all for now… He had no idea as to how it would have gone.
Something about it all made him exhausted, very exhausted as if he had not yet been able to relax… That he had found her too amusing to lower his guard around.
Granted? He did, he found zero reason to lower his guard around her… But Aace was very curious as to what Mina could do.
He flicked his head to the side, tossing away the remnants of mud stuck to his hair. Why? Because it was dripping towards his eyes and that was hurting his ability to write.
"You started it, I just want you to know that at this point," Aace said, scribbling for a moment before sighing as he thought for a second.
How Mina was able to get through the writing part of the schoolwork? Aace would not know. Granted? He was skilled at the mental work, she the physical. He would guess that she could be able to think on her feet. The problem? Hero work was more than simple feats of saving people.
He sighed to himself, too tired now to be made. One would not take it well that the hero could be mindless.
That said? Mina was not stupid, simply unwilling to do simple homework… Which made him realize he was going to have to tutor her.
He did not mind it so much as he did mind some of her antics. They had a lot more to try and figure it out as of now.
Something about this now had made him unwilling to admit that he was growing fond of how much trouble she and he were getting into.
He had a lot more to deal with for now… Not that he had much to deal with for now… It would be something worth arguing over if nothing else, a part of her wanted to argue but she knew better than to try that for fear of bothering him.
Aace did not argue. He did not scream, cry, complain, hiss, roar, or do something that had been too tiresome at the time being.
Both had been too interested in it all before he looked downwards at the ground. Aace scribbled in a book and then had no idea as of now… Something which had been torn apart.
Aace hummed and then he sighed, pausing to himself before cracking his fingers as he looked at her. Aace hummed to try and figure it out before he looked downwards at the ground, yawning for the time being.
Both had been tearing through the wall as he looked downwards at the ground. Aace seemed to be relaxing at the time being while he shook his head, the inklings of a smirk pulling at his face.
He had zero idea at the time that she was a good friend. Him admitting it was very unlikely given how she would never let him live it down, something about that almost bothered him.
Almost… Not that he would have been tired by it all… Something about it all had been amusing him now… Not that he would let such a thing go… Not why he would have done so… Something about it all had been more than he had to deal with for now.
Aace simply sighed as he finished his homework, put it to the side, and then looked at Mina who he knew was tired at the time. She did not do enough to push that envelope from where it had to be relaxed.
"You know by the time I help you; it's going to be too dark for this, right?" Aace asked before he snorted to himself.
Mina shrugged, covered still in the mud. He sighed and knew Mina was not going to do much homework meaning he would be with little more than something like this for now.
He had been too interested as he looked downwards at the ground.
"Would it help if I helped… Not DO, HELP… You with it?" Aace asked before he sighed, realizing help was going to turn into him having to do it either way… He had to deal with it for now… Something about it all had been amusing but it had to end.
He sighed as he resigned himself to working for it… They had to try and figure it out either way.
And he had a lot more ideas as of now, something which had been amusing for now… It had been hard enough on him.
"Why do I constantly have to deal with this?" Aace muttered with an annoyed sigh.
(2 hours later)
Aace did not think Mina was stupid… Just that this woman was a better fighter than she was a problem solver.
Granted? One did not erase the other… He knew point blank he would need to deal with something he did not know how to know… It had been a LONG day of him relaxing and trying his best.
Aace did realize if he converted each issue into simple terms that Mina would be a pro at it… Not that he would stroke her ego believing that if he did? He would not be able to relax, something like that was cursing himself. It was going to be a very long knight.
He had a lot more to deal with for now, it had been something of a small little piece of amusement written across his face.
Something which they both were tired of was how often he had been amused by it all now and for good reason... It was not something he had a lot more to deal with knowing that she was different.
He was too tempted to admit that he had little to deal with for now, it had been something that he was not interested in dealing with.
Granted? In his case? One would have eventually found this to be a nightmare.
Something about it all had been harder and harder. They had to fix something, they had to be better than this… Something about it all had been amusing… it was within Aace that drove him further on each second.
"My head hurts." Aace heard as he rolled his eyes, set the pen to the side, and pushed Mina.
She was surprised but fell into the mud as he waved at her, knowing that he had ZERO ability to pretend to be different.
"One? I have taught you those same lessons at least 4 times… 2? I have had to deal with the fact that I have been relaxed FAR more than I should have been… Two? I have been teaching you again and again… 3? I am going to point out that you know a lot… You just are not properly putting it effort." Aace stated.
He sighed, very tired… Very exhausted…. Had he been blunt? He might have screamed if he had.
Mina watched as Aace sunk deeper and deeper into the pit of mud. Why? Because he had long since given up caring, for now, to have done much… He was tired, he wished to relax… And he did relax.
Aace for all how he felt? He had zero clue as to what this could have been like… He had a lot more things that Mina knew about… She had been too distracted and he? He wished for it to be better than this.
Aace watched as Mina seemed to tread mud and swim towards him in a manner that made her look more like a seal than a woman.
He sighed and simply leaned on the wall, tired, exhausted… He had been too exhausted, too beaten down and bored to do much more than simply yawn, thrown aside by it all.
"I try, ok?" Mina asked to which Aace hummed and sighed.
"You try like I do and that means trying stuff we don't like," Mina stated to which Aace hummed before he looked downwards at the ground.
"Like you have not been doing your homework?" Aace stated before he was elbowed in the side, too distracted now.
Mina was too distracted… She was amused, the smirk on her face told him that much as well. It was clear that something had been able to be relaxed… But he would need to try and figure it out.
Aace seemed to be amusing for now. Aace watched as Mina sighed, treating the mud like a spa treatment.
They had a lot more to be eager to brawl now as both had to think of something beyond themselves… Like homework, like the fact they had an entire mountain of training and work to deal with… Something within him had been brought of it all.
Something which had been too disturbed at the time being… It had been all too much as he looked downwards.
She had too much to try and figure out every single little idea. Something about it all for now… They had a lot more to try and figure it out as it was all too interesting.
Mina seemed to be dealing with it for now as Mina sunk deeper and deeper into the mud. Both times he had done so as of the time being.
They had a lot more to try and deal with it for now… Something about them both was exhausting for now.
They were warriors, they were heroes… They would be dealing with it for the time… Something within them both had been dragged across the ground.
Aace only allowed himself to return to the mud pit when he was able to return his homework was all too much. They were too interesting at the end of the idea when it came down to it.
Aace seemed to think of it all before they thought of it as a little amusing thing at the time. Both thought of it all as he looked to the side, Aace let himself sink to the depths of the mud.
Both were too tired to say much… Both were all too much for now… They had something else to deal with for now… They were all beyond what they thought it to be.
Something like this was beyond odd for now. Aace knew Mina for now, too interested in something beyond chaos… It was something more than he needed it to be.
Something within Aace only wanted to laugh at Mina reclining on the edge of the pit. If she wanted to deal with it? They deal with it if nothing else. They would imagine something beyond it all.
They had a lot more to deal with for now… All of it was growing in it all for now.
Both were all too interested in it all as he looked to the side. Mina and Ashido both had to think of it all at the end of it all… They had to think of it a certain way for now.
Aace being Aace only seemed to want to laugh for now. It was a lesson in attempting to be a certain way for now… Aace seemed to think of Mina differently then she saw what to try and deal with it.
They had a lot more to deal with, a lot more than they could have dealt with. Mina being Mina was more amusing than they dared ask and it was through that which they reigned… Though? To be fair? There was more left within them.
Far more than this. Mina knew more than him that both enjoyed relaxing and it was only through attempting to relax that they were able to calm down. The more time they put into not calming down?
Well, it would only have been a matter of time before something crashed down on them all like a giant wrecking ball over again. Mina would not be able to understand it lest they all crash down to the floor… Something else had taken them apart so it could be ended properly.
Granted? They had a lot more to try and think at the end of the day… It would be harder than before to possibly suggest.
Now? He had a lot more to deal with for now… They had a lot more to deal with.
She and he had to relax. Mina was many things but she would not forget to relax… There was SO much she could have done, so much she would rather do than this.
"You push your luck too far? You lose sight of the big picture." Mina stated before she looked downwards at the ground.
Mina hummed at the time as she flexed her arms before she sighed, each thing she could do would not help… But it was too little too late for it now at the end of it all… There was a lot more than this… A lot they did not need to do.
However? Something within them could have ended it… There was a LOT more to it then and there within them…. Why? Because it would have hit more.
Mina looked at Aace who instead of doing anything to deal with her? simply shrugged.
Aace knew better than to fight Mina, it was fun but she was stronger and more physically capable. He could do it but a direct fight was not within his cards.
Mina decided she would have to match words with words and decided action for now.
Mina finally sunk into the mud which slowly sunk past her hips and up to her chest. She was too tired to even think for now… It was a lot more exhausting as she thought to it.
Mina leaned on the edge of the pit, wiggling her feet in it as she hummed and then thought of it as he relaxed. Mina was a lot more amused and it was a lot of things they did not want to deal with either way.
Aace might find it funny if he was not a little scared of her now…. Now? He had a lot more to deal with for now.
It was a lot harsher than before… Something within him had harder left to relax.
They had a lot of different ideas now, Mina flung mud at him which was a move she could have made.
They had a lot of ideas as to how this needed to be done…. But it was more than could have dealt with.
There were a lot of things which they needed to deal with… A lot of things were on Aace's mind and it would come be dealt with it all now… Such was life but it was clear something would break.
"Do you ever stop trying to be silly like this?" Aace asked as Mina lifted her other foot and sent mud towards him.
Aace hummed, shrugged… He was tired… Far more tired… They had a lot of different ideas at the end… It would come down a lot more to them now than anything.
There were a lot of things when it came to it… There was a lot more to try and think of it.
Aace watched as Mina submerged herself in the mud as if she were some sort of giant salamander or something similar.
Then again? Given her acid abilities? Aace would not put it past her ability to submerge herself like some sort of demonic fish or something.
Mina slowly started to sneak toward him and Aace who had no real countermeasures. Simply allowed it to happen at the end of the day, he knew he could not allow it to happen for now.
Not as if he would be able to stop her, she was still stronger and faster than him, it would be equal to a turtle attempting to stop a great white shark… Not impossible but it was equal to attempting to deal with something.
Mina seemed to be tired at the end of it all as she looked to the ground. She looked to the side as Aace seemed to relax as he cracked his fingers and then thought of what was going on.
"Sometimes? Sometimes I think you just pretend to be serious when you do not want to be." Mina said as Aace hummed.
"And sometimes I think you can be good at homework if I don't need to do it for you." Mina heard as she poked him over again.
Aace sighed as he almost tried to relax. Now? Almost choking on the mud in his throat made him too tired so he cracked his fingers.
Mina hummed and then thought of it all now… She seemed to view it entirely as a little game more than anything as they were able to relax. Now? Now they had a lot more to deal with for now.
Mina knew Aace would pretend to be amused… The more they had left to deal with? The more fun they could have and Aace knew it for now, that sort of dedication was more than they could relax.
They had a lot more to deal with for now. The fun that could be had knowing that was worth more than anything else.
They had a LOT more to deal with anyway when it came down to it. Mina hummed and then looked to the side as she thought of it all as she thought of it all for now.
Mina hummed and cracked her fingers. She leaned on the wall, pausing to think as she looked at her friend. Something about it had made as she looked downwards at the ground.
Mina hummed and then thought of it all differently, it was not as if Mina was able to find less amusement in their games. She knew Aace, she knew Aace would do a LOT more to deal with her but being a jerk?
No, he was not a jerk at the end of the day and it was going to be something else now.
Aace hummed and leaned on the wall, too interested as he paused to think of what was growing on now… Now? She was curious as to the ways things needed to be dealt with for now.
Mina hummed, she was tired and she was eager to get to work… She was very eager, too interested as to HOW it would have been like for now.
Now? Aace seemed to just amuse Mina. She was tired, far too tired to be doing everything and anything at the end of it all.
He yawned and simply slid up to his shoulders in the mud. If Mina had any reservations about things? She did not at all show it.
"Why do you focus so much on homework? I get it is important and stuff but so is also doing stuff to become a hero, you know." Mina stated as Aace hummed.
There appeared a few seconds of silence before both fell silent. It was a question Mina seemed to ask for now every second… She was curious as to what Aace would do now when it was all said and done.
"That is why we constantly train, it's why we constantly come out to keep getting better," Aace stated, sighing as he thought of his next move.
Aace being tired was part of why he could not do much. He was far too exhausted, too beaten down to let himself do much of anything for now.
Mina wiggled her toes in the mud, curious… She flashed a smirk that exposed rows of pearly white teeth. Aace simply rolled his eyes and continued to relax within the confines of the pit.
"Why do you even like mud to begin with?" Aace questioned, tired and beaten down now… Now? He wished to relax, he wished to think.
"Because I am bored? Because Mud is fun… Because you still like playing with it…. There is a lot more to deal with now than before." Mina stated before Aace hummed.
Aace hummed with exhaustion… Too curious as to how it would have been like now.
"Can you at least HELP with my homework?" Mina asked to which Aace sighed.
"HELP… Not do for you, HELP." Aace stated before he shook his head.
Mina was silent, very silent for now. Mina seemed to be relaxed for now… This was something that she would be able to do, she would be able to handle homework when it came to it. He knew she had the potential to do so if she was asked to do so.
Honestly? He did not want to relax; he did not want to tell her he saw potential in her. That? All of that would end up pushing him FAR past the threshold when it came to it.
She had skill and plenty of potential when it came to being a hero. It came PLENTY down to how often this worked now and for a good reason.
All of it had to be dealt with for now… Something about it all had to be dealt with for now as she paused to try and deal with it for now as she paused to try and think.
Mina hummed, relaxing, and then slowly slipped into the mud once more, she had been too relaxed too tired… And bored… So bored it was beyond chaotic for now… Now? Now they had plenty of ideas left to understand.
It was more and more chaotic, something did not at all understand now, and for a good reason.
Something about it all had to be dealt with. Mina was curious as to how Aace would relax, how he would have moved… But she knew him, she knew exactly how to push buttons.
"I will help… But only because you are my friend and because I want to help you." Aace stated and then sighed and cracked his fingers, looking to the ground.
He closed his eyes, feeling like he was sitting in a pool. Something about it all had been too much now, he was amused by Mina and she knew it.
Then again? Being a good friend was something that they had to deal with.
"Hmm…" Mina said before she leaned on the side of Aace as both slowly sunk into the mud.
Aace hummed and then relaxed… Mina was curious as to how this would have been dealt with now and for a good reason.
Something would have made him laugh now…. He would have laughed more if asked and he would not have shown up now and then looked to the side.
Mina hummed and cracked her fingers and then relaxed as she poked him in the chin.
She knew better, she knew him and she knew all of them now… Now? She had no real clue as to how it would have been too disturbed now, distracted now, and for a good reason.
"You love to cause trouble, Mi. You love to push the envelope, there is more work to deal with for now and all you do is make sure we have more work to deal with." Aace hummed and then paused, closing his eyes as he sunk deeper and deeper into the pit of wet dirt.
Mud was odd to him, such a simple change now, now? They had been bored and now? A pit of wet dirt was something… Something he would end up having to relax.
Mina seemed to be dealt with for now and she cracked her fingers and then paused to think of what was occurring it now. Something about it all had to be dealt with it all.
Mina hummed and cracked her fingers and paused to think of it all as she paused to deal with it for now and paused to deal with it.
Mina hummed and then looked to the side once more, all of it had been too disturbed as she thought of it all once more as she clicked her fingers.
Mina hummed and then thought of what was occurring for now… It had been too dealt with for now and then thought of what was going to be dealt with for now.
Mina seemed to be dealt with for now… She had been too distracted at the time being, something about it all had been too disturbed at the end of it.
She had been too disturbed for now and she paused to think of it all now as she relaxed to deal with for now.
Mina seemed to be dealt with for now as she relaxed to think of what was going on as she slowly started to think of what was occurring now.
She slowly started to sink into the mud once more. She was curious as to how they had to deal with it for now… Something about it all had been too much for now and it all had been too been too much.
She was bored… Far too bored now… She had been too disturbed at the end of it.
Aace being Aace, simply looked at her, too curious for now… Now? She had been too disturbed for now as she wished to deal with it.
She poked at her nose and then thought of it all and then relaxed to pause for now, something about it all had been too much for now.
He had been too disturbed and then he had been too distracted for now… He had been too much to deal with.
"We need to get back to training at the end of the day… The more we get done now?" Aace asked before he hummed to himself before he cracked a smile once more.
He was tired… Very tired and very bored.
