Authors Notes-And here I am back again with another one of my many Transformers fanfics. This one, however is a Bumblebee and Raf centric fic. Because I find when I come up with ideas they always seem to revolve either Miko or Jack. Especially when it comes to human characters, either that or June lol. So, I figured I'd give 'Bee and Raf some love. And I'm rambling as you can gather by now I only own the plot where Hasbro owns Transformers. I am merely borrowing them for my own amusement. Now that we got THAT out of the way here is Chapter one to Time After Time. Enjoy!

Chapter One.

It had started out as any other day. A day that had started out quiet. Boring, even by Bumblebee's standards as the yellow scout paced around the base. Hands clasped behind his back . However, for some reason despite the quiet he couldn't help but feel that something was going to happen and he couldn't put his finger on why.

"Are you listening to me, 'Bee?" Raf spoke, jerking the scout from his thoughts.

Looking at the young boy Bumblebee shook his head. *Sorry, did you say something?* he asked, feeling sheepish.

Obviously Raf had been trying to discuss something with him, and he had been miles away.

"I was telling you about the new laptop I asked my parents for my birthday." Raf said, turning his laptop to face his friend, showing him the laptop Raf had wanted.

Bumblebee placed a hand on his chin as he looked at it. *It looks like your current one.* He said.

Raf shook his head. "No, this one has more memory and such." Raf wasn't to go into too much detail but suffice it to say this new laptop would be far better than the one he currently used. His current one being a hand-me-down from his older sister when she got her new laptop. And it had served his purpose but still.

*That looks cool.* Bumblebee told him, Raf nodded. Placing his laptop back on the table as he looked to Bumblebee once more.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concern shining in his eyes, as Bumblebee turned to him once more.

*Hmmm? What do you mean?* Bumblebee asked, arching an optic brow at his friend.

"You seem distant, off in your own world." Raf commented.

Bumblebee shook his head. *I just got this odd feeling.* He told him. *Like something is going to happen, something big.*

"Like what?" Raf asked.

Bumblebee shook his head, brow furrowing. For all Bumblebee knew that it was nothing, it had been a few weeks since they had seen or heard of the Decepticons and it left them all on edge.

Because, Raf thought, looking at his friend, before turning to Miko and Jack. Noting that the girl looked bored as she drew something in her sketch book, while Jack was focused on his videogames. Obviously taking in the momentary peace. But, if Raf was being honest? He was feeling the same way Bumblebee was, something was going to happen, something big...

This was taking far longer than Starscream would have liked. Red optics watching as several Vehicons worked non-stop to dig something out of the old, abandoned mine. Something Soundwave had alerted Lord Megatron to and had thus sent Starscream and Knock Out to the location to see what there was. Starscream didn't know what it was they were currently digging out of the Earth. But from what Soundwave had discovered, whatever it was it was Cybertronian, and quite possibly something that would turn the tide of war in the Decepticons favor.

Or, Starscream thought grimly, scowl etched on his face plate as he urged the Vehicons to hurry it up. It's some meaningless trinket, and they had been sent out here for no reason. Sure, it sounded like a very unlikely idea. This was Soundwave they were talking about, and the communications officer rarely wasted anyone's time on such meaningless things. But given how things were going for poor Starscream as of late. He wouldn't put it past Soundwave to waste his time, and have the second in command in even more hot water with Lord Megatron. After a string of failures in the last several weeks.

Starscream tried to keep his head down and do his best not to anger the warlord even further. It would only take one more slip up on his part and Megatron would rip out his spark and feed it to him. A thought that made poor Starscream shiver at the thought. Knowing full well that there was no place here on Earth or among the stars that Megatron wouldn't find him. So failure was no an option.

"Starscream! Earth to Starscream!" Knock Out's voice cut through his grim thoughts.

"What?" Starscream snapped, watching as Knock Out jumped back, taken back from his out outburst.

Quickly recovering Knock Out straightened. A frown etched on the red Decepticons face plate, as he quietly pointed to a couple of Vehicons waving them over.

"I said it looks like the troops discovered something over there." Knock Out said.

Growling Starscream looked away from where Knock Out was to move to where the Vehicons were beckoning them over. With a grunt Starscream roughly shoved the two of them out of the way, and saw...something. Arching an optic brow he picked the strange device up gingerly in his hands. And looked to Knock Out as the medic moved closer.

Hand on his chin Knock Out looked the device over, then looked to Starscream.

"Well?" Starscream prompted some what impatiently.

"I have no idea what it could be." Knock Out said, handing it back to him. "It looks Cybertronian though, and..." he trailed off, his optics narrowing as he looked to the device once more, taking it from Starscream once more. "And it appears to be Autobot technology." He added, pointing to the Autobot insignia etched on its side.

Autobot technology, Starscream thought, looking the device over once more. Noting that it looked like it could be worn on one's wrist. And near the insignia was a bright red button. But the main question was, he thought, what use would it be to the Decepticons in their never-ending war with the Autobots? Starscream tilted the artifact this way and that when-

"Starscream!"

Starscream let out a startled yelp, nearly dropping the device as Megatron's voice cut through his thoughts. Whirling around Starscream saw Megatron stalking towards him. Optics fixed on the device he held.

"L-Lord Megatron, w-what are you doing here?" Starscream stammered out.

"Since you and Knock Out couldn't be bothered to report I decided to come down to make sure things were going smoothly." Megatron said, optics settling on the device once more. "And what have you discovered?" he asked.

"Well, the troops have uncovered this thing. Lord Megatron." Starscream said. Primus did that sound pathetic.

"A thing, Starscream." Megatron said, snatching the device from him, turning it over and over in his hand. "Do you know what this thing does?" Megatron asked.

Starscream was silent as he looked to Megatron, then to Knock Out, who merely shrugged.

Letting out a frustrated growl, and aimed the device at Starscream who let out another yelp and ducked. Before Megatron turned it in the direction of a couple of Vehicons who were walking past, and pressed the button. Watching as a swirling green and blue portal opened up, much like that of a ground bridge. And before the Vehicons could react they were suddenly swept off their feet, and sucked into the vortex with a cry. Before the vortex shut, leaving no sign of the Vehicons.

"Some type of portable ground bridge?" Knock Out commented.

'No," Megatron said, looking down at the device in wonder. "I know what this device is. This device can transport anyone, not to any place, Knock Out. But to a different time."

Both Knock Out and Starscream looked to their leader perplexed. How did Megatron know about this? And why didn't they? What did the Autobots plan on using this device for? One thing was for certain, Starscream thought, optics glued on the device clutched in Megatron's hands. A calculating smile forming on his face plate. He needed to get his hands on that device, and when he did he would use it to get Megatron out of the way. And once he had, he would finally rule over the Decepticons. A low chuckle escaped the seekers lips as a new plan formed in his mind.

Oh boy, Knock Out thought, looking to Starscream. Screamer is up to his old tricks yet again. Obviously the seeker was hatching another of his 'take over the Decepticons schemes.' And like always Knock Out knew it would end in Starscream getting the scrap kicked out of him. And would no doubt leave poor Knock Out to spend his evenings fixing him up once again. But, Knock Out thought, that wasn't his problem. As the red Decepticon turned away, his optics widening when his optics caught sight of the Autobots. Just as one of the Vehicons alerted the others to them.

A low growl escaping Megatron's throat as he saw Optimus and his Autobots arrive. Now things were beginning to pick up.

This, Raf thought, as he peered around a pile of rubble, was not how he expected his day to go. The young boy cried out as he ducked behind his hiding spot as a stray blast from a Vehicon hit a little too close to where he was hiding. Not too long ago he had been gearing up to go home with Bumblebee. When the Autobots were informed on Autobot activity in the area. Despite his disappointment he understood and had told Bumblebee that he would wait. And that was he and the others had planned to do.

Or, well he and Jack did, that is. Miko, on the other hand obviously wanted to see the action once again. The two boys watching as she raced down the steps, Jack and Raf stood following close behind. And soon the trio had found themselves once again in the middle of the fray. Raf himself nearly getting crushed by Breakdown as he went toe to toe with Bulkhead.

Thankfully Miko had managed to drag him behind a pile of rubble they were now behind. Blaster fire, the sound of metal striking metal and shouts echoed all around them. And Raf really wanted to go home. His place was at the base, seated at his laptop. That was where he was most useful. Not out in the field like this! Biting down on his bottom lip as he listened to all the chaos around him as Miko and Jack bickered.

Hands clasped over his ears he almost didn't hear the sound of Starscream sneaking up on them until it was too late. As the seekers shadow loomed over the three humans, making them look up.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" The Decepticon purred, red optics glowing maliciously as he looked down at them. "The Autobots little human pets, don't you realize this isn't a place for children to play?" As he said this Starscream clutched something in his right hand as he reached for them.

"Run!" Jack shouted

Miko and Raf needed no further prompting, as the three raced away, unfortunately for Raf his foot caught on a rock, pitching him forward. Groaning Raf picked himself up, just as Starscream's fingers wrapped around his middle. And poor Raf's heart plummeted as he was lifted off the ground.

"Let me go!" Panic formed in the pit of Raf's stomach as Starscream held him up to optic level. A cold smile on Starscream's lips as he looked at the boy.

Then, without so much as a word Starscream turned away from the other two, a squirming Raf clutched tightly in his grip. Starscream's optics scanned the battle raging before him, something told him that today was his day. Today, he was going to get rid of Megatron and a pesky Autobot as well. His optics settling on the all too familiar figure of Bumblebee. And at that moment the scouts optics settled on Starscream. Widening when they saw Raf, and that was all the provocation Bumblebee needed as he charged at Starscream. As Starscream held out the strange device he had snuck away from Megatron. And that was when it seemed that his luck had finally run out.

As a stray blast struck the device, startling Starscream, causing him to drop it. And that was when it all went to scrap. As the device sparked, and came to life, a large portal opened up before the trio. Starscream crying out as his feet we swept out from under him. His talons sinking into the ground as the portal sucked the whimpering seeker in.

"Megatron!" Starscream shouted, as his leader looked at him. "Help me!"

Megatron made no move as he stood there. The corner of his mouth turning upwards as Starscream let out another plea before he was completely sucked in. But that was not the end of it, the Autobots soon realized, as they saw that in Starscream's attempt to keep from being completely sucked into the portal he had left go of Raf. And now the boy was clinging to a fallen tree stump.

*Raf!* Bumblebee shouted, racing to his friends aid, reaching out to him.

As he did he too found himself being sucked in as well. Grunting Bumblebee dug his fingers into the dirt, trying in vain to hold on, somehow he knew it was futile. Optics narrowed as he looked to Raf. Saying nothing he reached out of the boy. Bumblebee didn't know what this portal was, or where it would take them. But if he was somehow able to keep the boy safe then that was all that mattered as his fingers closed in on Raf. Pulling him against his chest as Bumblebee lost his grip.

And as Bumblebee and Raf slipped into the swirling green void Smokescreen rushed forward in hopes of saving his friend. Arcee and the others close behind. Just as it disappeared, Starscream, Bumblebee, and Raf along with it. Leaving the Autobots to look on in shock, wondering where their friends were, if...they were still alive.

Authors Notes- And here is the first chapter to Time After Time. I hope you liked it. And, yeah I know for a Bumblebee/ Raf-centric it seemed to revolve around Starscream. But, I figured what better way to start this story with Starscream's botched plans that quickly back fired on him. But, I figured aside from Bumblebee and Raf Screamer will also play a big role in this fic lol.

Never less I hope you enjoy it and I'll try and get the next chapter up soon-ish.
