Meanwhile, all bundled up, Boq walks to a small village as it began to snow passing by a few shops with beautiful displays in the windows.

Once he made it, he takes the folded piece of paper out of his pocket, unfolds it and reads the name.

Elphaba.

Ha! This should be easy peasy lemon squeezy! Boq thought as he strolls over to the book store down the sidewalk, Bernes and Ozbles.

Obviously the present should be a book. Elphaba reads books, collects books and even works with books.

The only thing is, what kind of book she doesn't have?

As soon as he reached the bookstore, he found that it had closed.

Darn it!

Now this is just getting tricky. This is the only bookstore he could find.

Sighing unhappily, he wanders around town looking at the shops that have books until he came across an antique shop.

Maybe there's books in there. Hopefully rare ones.

With that thought in mind, he opens the shop's door hearing the bell jingling as soon as he steps inside.

It's so dark and quiet inside minus the candles illuminating from each corner of the store creating an ambiance and a chandelier made of jewels and diamonds hang above shelves full of collectibles and old objects. Lots of lamps in one section, old furniture in another, old house decor on the shelves and tables. But no books.

Boq searched the entire store but only found two books that are not the kind that Elphaba would like. After looking at them, he knew it was better than no book for her at all.

Just as he was about to take them however, he stopped short when he saw an object a on display shelf before his eyes. He slowly walked over to give it a closer look and looked for a price tag but it's not there.

Thinking it over that this would be a perfect gift for her instead of a book, he picked it up and brought it over to the the register counter and approaches the shopkeeper who's dusting the antiques.

"Excuse me? How much is for this?"

The shopkeeper turns around and takes a look at the Munchkin and what he is holding and his eyebrows raised in surprise, "Oh wow… I never thought someone would finally purchase it!"

Boq questions looking at the potential gift, "Really? No one would buy this?"

"It's been overlooked lot for a while. Ever since I started my job here five years ago, my father the previous owner told me stories about several items that are still here in the shop and this is one of them. Someone dropped it off just to get money because it was rare."

Boq looked down at it and back up to the shopkeeper and asked him, "How come no one bought it?"

"I do not know," answered the shopkeeper shrugging. "This shop has been open for over thirty years and we only had one customer per day. Oz knows why we remained open and hadn't shut down long ago."

He asked again now wanting to leave since he has more shopping to do, "How much does it cost?"

"It's been around for a long time so I'll say seventeen?"

Nodding, the Munchkin takes out a twenty and hands it over to the shopkeeper who prepares a bag for the gift. He took the money and gave the change to Boq who declines.

"Keep it," he said taking the bag. "Consider it a tip. Happy Lurlinemas."

"Oh!" The shopkeeper smiled. "Happy Lurlinemas," he said giving the bag to him who takes it and leaves.

As soon as Boq stepped out of the store he takes a peak inside the bag one more time.

He only hopes that Elphaba will love it. It may not be something she's expecting but it's better than nothing right?

"Now that's done, what else do I have to buy?" He asks himself as he pulled out a shopping list Galinda had made for him and when he unfolded it, the paper rolls out in a trail till it ended on the ground listing everything he has to buy.

He sighs folding the list back up and starts to walk over to the food market.
