February 2014: Week Two

Monday: Crime Scream Investigation

Frankie's POV

At Cleo's locker…

As I hung out with the other ghouls and gave a couple of them study tips on the next topic for Clawculus, thanks to Mr. Mummy giving me extra homework that I had to give up a good chunk of my weekend, Cleo opened her locker and received a bouquet of roses and gasped in awe.

"Oh my rah!"

As Cleo grabbed a rose, me, Melody, and Clawdeen got a closer look at the horned flower.

"Who knew Deuce was so romantic?"

Cleo was so lucky to have a guy like Deuce. From what I have seen, despite both of them having had their differences, they made their relationship work.

Honestly, it was thanks to Cleo that I took mental notes on conflict management.

I saw Deuce walked over. I turned around to give him encouragement, however he seemed less than thrilled.

"Way to go, she loves roses." I said.

Cleo smiled and turned her head toward him and asked, "What made you send them?"

That question set a stitch off him.

"I didn't, but I'd like to know who did? Did he ask you to the dance this Friday?"

Deuce put both his muscled arms on his hips, now in overprotective boyfriend mode according to a column I read on SevenTween magazine. Cleo still had her mind on the roses she got that apparently were not from Deuce.

Being considered the Queen Bee of Monster High, it was no secret that Cleo was admired by a solid chunk of the male student body.

Out of curiosity, I saw her sniff the rose, "I must have a secret admirer. It's about time."

"Privet. What is that flower Cleo is holding?" Abbey asked as she walked over to us.

Draculaura turns to Abbey and filled her in on the latest deets. "Ooh, hey Abbey. Some guy put a rose in Cleo's locker and-"

Before Draculaura could finish filling Abbey in, Deuce could no longer stand listening and took the rose bouquet from Cleo's hands and shoved it back into her locker. He was definitely in "overprotective boyfriend" mode.

"Bout time I find this guy and tell him to knock it off."

We all saw Deuce storm off toward the nearby stairwell.

"Oh, he's so cute when he's jealous." As Cleo found this side of her boyfriend endearing, Melody went ahead and followed Deuce.

"Yo Mel, where you going?" Clawdeen asked.

Melody however, did not hear her.

Melody's POV

Okay, okay, I could be a tad overprotective when it came to Cleo. But I knew something down in my vocal chords that something was going to go terribly wrong.

And no shit could that have been spot on.

I saw Jawke Finnston, one of Heath's dumbass friends. You know shark boy, headed up the stairs and saw Deuce, completely oblivious to what Cleo's man was gonna say. Least his arm healed for the most part.

"Yo Deuce! Have you seen your lady? I gotta ask her something."

Deuce glared at him, clearly not wanting a friendly bro chat.

"Why? You got a thing for her?"

"Uh, no. You know I have eyes for a dark haired beauty." Finnston smiled.

Well, there were plenty of dark haired beauties in this school. Not me, thank god.

"Did she get your flowers?"

"Huh?"

"Well she did."

As Deuce took off his lenses, Finnston put up a finned hand to close them.

"Bro, you're insane. I'll just find her later."

If I were him, I'd be just as confused. As Finnston walked down the stairs to get the heck out of there, Deuce followed.

I peered around the corner so that I could not be spotted, I stealthily followed them while I thought, 'Wait, why would Finnston put a flower in Cleo's locker?'

Finnston is not that sharp. I mean look at who he hangs out with, my god.

As Deuce followed shark boy, SloMo slowly drank from the water fountain nearby.

"Hey, don't turn your back on me when I'm talking to you."

"Or what? You gonna try and petrify me or something?"

As both guys began to push and shove each other, I attempted to try and stop them from getting into a fist fight, however SloMo accidentally bumped them. As Deuce backed up, he pointed a finger at Finnston, which indicated that a fight would break out.

"You and me, after school. Cleo's locker, fish dick."

As I saw Deuce storm off pissed, I saw Finnston clenched his webbed hands before he looked over toward me.

This time he glared at me.

"What are you looking at, Carver?"

I could not speak, my siren vocal chords would not respond. My body shook so like a ghost, I dashed back up the stairs to where Cleo and the other ghouls were and filled them in.

A few minutes later…

"Deuce and Finnston are gonna fight by your locker!" I shouted.

"Oh my god!" The newbie gasped and covered her mouth with one of her stitched hands.

My ghoul friend Cleo, seemed more excited than worried that her man lost his cool.

"That's adorable! Hey, are you shaking, Mel?"

Was I? Oh crap, I was! Damnit, and this had nothing to do with me. My dumbass just ended up indirectly getting involved.

"Come on ghouls! We have to find Cleo's secret admirer before someone gets hurt." Frankie said.

She was such a worrywart sometimes. I don't blame the newbie ghoul for it. Worried, I quickly followed her and the other ghouls toward the school's security room while Clawdeen and Draculaura stood by Cleo's locker..

"Alright, me and Draculaura will be here in between classes case they start early."

Frankie's POV

In the security room…

Lagoona came in and met up with me, Melody, and Abbey. Melody seemed to have calmed down. I wonder what's gotten her all stitched up?

"I'm here! Got the group chat message, mates."

"Ghoulia, show us footage of Cleo's locker and fast forward."

Ghoulia pulled up the footage as Melody instructed her to do. To be honest, we could not see anything!

"Abbey not see anything."

"Oh crap, the shot is blocked! What do we do?"

I did not mean to accidentally swear, I definitely picked that up from someone.

"We gotta stop them!" Melody shouted as she quickly opened the door and bolted back toward Cleo's locker.

"Melody, wait!" Lagoona called out to her as me, her, and Abbey followed her back.

Back in the halls…

As each of the students began chanting between Deuce and Jawke, everyone's favourite Student Disembody President joined in.

Not a favourite according to my ghoul friends, I did not hate Toralei. After all, hate is a strong word.

"Heehee, go Jawke, go Deuce. I really don't care."

Well, I definitely did not like her as much as the majority of the senior class.

"You're my bro, Jawke. But Cleo is with me."

Deuce took both fists into his hands. Oh crap, this really was happening!

Jawke had his shark teeth out with his finned hands into fists despite one of his arms that had just healed recently from having gotten an arrow shot through it like sushi.

"Yeah well no one straight up accuses the Jawkester of trying to steal their woman. You know, I'm gettin' real tired of your shit and how you don't take me ser-"

"Ahhh!"

As Deuce yelped, everyone looked at the rose behind Cleo's locker that transformed into a pig-like face, with leaves as arms and grew vine legs before it hopped out of the locker. Theo ther students aside from our group all walked off.

"Oooh look! Cleo, your rose is alive! No pun intended, heehee." I said.

"Yeah, no kidding." Clawdeen added in agreement with my observations.

Cleo however, was more annoyed than relieved that her boyfriend did not get hit.

"W-wait, you're my rose. Get back in my locker!"

"Sweetie, I'm not your rose. I'm Thorton, new student.

The plant-like creature pulled out a locker card from his soil pot. "And it's my locker."

"Crikey well that's new." Lagoona remarked.

"Hmph, like walking talking monster thistle." Abbey added that she referred to a rare flower that can cure certain illnesses.

Cleo took the card from him and turned it to the other side.

"Hmph, I'm locker 111. Yours is 777."

She gave the locker card back to the little guy.

"Hey, oops. My bad."

"So, I don't have a secret admirer?"

Me and Ghoulia walked towards her and comforted her.

"Hah! Bitch, too tall, no foliage, and your roots are showing."

I looked at Cleo who was now angry that the new student called her that. I did not blame her, honestly.

"What did you just call me!?"

Jawke and Deuce walked in front of Cleo to defend her honor.

"Bro, he just insulted your lady." Jawke commented.

"Yeah, let's go kick his potted ass."

As both manster got their fists ready, Melody called out to Jawke.

"Hey Finnston, wait!"

"Why yes, Carver? You can ask the Jawkester anything."

"Well, I was wondering if-"

I wonder what she wanted to ask him? My thought caught an abrupt halt as we all heard Deuce shout and take the first punch at Thorton.

"Hey, Thorton. This is for calling Cleo a uh… you know what."

"Hey bro wait! I'm gonna pummel his ass too ya know!"

As Jawke headed over to where Deuce was, Cleo jumped up and down and raised both of her manicured hands up into fists.

"Three guys brawling over me? The perfect day."

"Yeah, I guess so." Melody smiled.

As each of the ghouls watched the mini scuffle, I checked the time on my iCoffin. And I was running late for my after school club activities.

"Oh bolts! I gotta get to robotics."

"Hey Frankie! Lemme know when you can come down to the Home Ick room later this week to help prepare some baked sweets for my birthday this Friday once you fix up a new blender for us. Deuce and Billy will help out as part of the cooking club." Draculaura reminded me.

"And school dance. Council needs to raise money for Spring Fling dance next month before week off. Abbey will bring over ingredients and make famous homemade yak cakes." Abbey added.

Being the kind, helpful ghoul that I apparently had established a reputation of, I agreed as I jogged off toward the attic.

"Okay, sure!"

Heath's POV

In the attic…

I heard about the so-called fight between Deuce and Jawke that ended up not happening. I was not interested in some of my best bros fighting over something stupid like some girl.

Speaking of a girl, Frankie is late today. Later than usual. Which was unlike her.

Was the fight about her?

It was no secret that lately, she had eyes on her from other mansters. Since she ditched the stupid round glasses, I heard some of the guys in class get their hopes up that she would ask one of them to the stupid dance this Friday.

A dance that I won't be attending this year. Abbey would be there selling some cakes and whatnot.

You know, I'm now kinda glad that Mr. Mummy gave me extra Clawculus homework. Least I spent the past weekend with Jackson talking about Limits.

So that I would not hit my fucking limit.

As I was finishing up my Clawculus homework, I heard the attic door open and Frankie arrived.

I did not even bother to tease her or even say hello, did not feel like it.

"Hey, doing homework?"

I heard her ask me as she set down a couple of blueprints, a binder, and a blender across the table. I did not want to look at her right now and maintained focus on my homework.

"Something like that." I muttered, as I heard her sit down beside me.

She looked at me with a sad look on her cute face.

"You know, if you need anything, I'll be right here."

She got up and moved across toward the other side of the table and opened up the blueprints she brought.

I could not help but look up, I was curious.

"You fixin' up a blender?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll be selling juice with Howleen at the dance this Friday. You and Abbey should drop by."

After she mentioned Abbey, I put both my hands on the table and got up.

"That's not gonna happen, sorry."

"Oh come on! The juice is packed with vitamins. Good to reenergize your body with your date."

I looked at her and gave her a serious look, a look that she had not often seen from me and told her.

"I mean we broke up. She dumped me a couple days ago."

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry."

If anything I should be the one apologizing. I fucked up and dragged you into this.

I glared at her, "I don't need your apology. Besides, there's no point in me going."

"Hey, how about we go to the dance together?"

I raised an eyebrow. Was this an attempt to tease me?

"What do you mean?" I asked her.

"Well, I need to get this blender fixed up by Thursday. The student council and the cooking club are working together to prepare enough goods to sell at the dance Friday to raise funds for next month's Spring Fling."

Ah, so she asked me to help her out, as a classmate. No, friend?

"Alright, you convinced me. Go on."

I smiled. She gave me back a smirk. Normally I'm the one who gives her the smirks.

"We go together on one condition." She showed me the blender blueprints.

"You help me fix up this blender, help me and Howleen make the fruit punch on Wednesday after school. In return, you can help me out with our math classes."

My smirk widened as I now leaned across the table. This ain't the first time we bargained with each other. I took the opportunity to tease her.

"Alrighty. So, a trade off then? Is someone dozing off in classes again and is formally requesting something from the Heathster?"

Her arms crossed. "Something like that."

Of course I had my own chip up my sleeve.

"Then I'll accept."

She smiled while I closed my eyes.

"But there's a catch."

As I opened up my eyes, she had a confused look on her pretty face.

"What is?"

I grinned as I casually walked over toward her side and lifted up an eyebrow.

"I tutor you on the weekends. Somewhere private."

She glared and looked away from me. "No way, forget it perv."

I leaned back to stand before I casually sat down and resumed my Clawculus homework on my laptop.

"Fine, enjoy studying for the midterms. Not even Ghoulia does tutoring services nowadays given her schedule on top of her workload."

From the corner of my eye, she bit her lip and fidgeted as I typed on my laptop while I took a pencil and worked through another equation.

She sighed and gave in.

"Sigh, fine. So, your house?"

"On weekends I usually stay at Jackson's. Your place?" I asked as I worked on a problem.

"L-let's do your cousin's place then."

I looked up and saw her blush. She really was cute when she blushed for me.

"Alright cutie. Too shy to bring over a guy to your pad?"

"Don't push it, hothead. Now, hurry up and finish your homework so that you can start helping me fix this." She ordered as she pointed a finger down at my laptop.

"Okay. Just lemme sit next to ya in English class too."

AP English with Rotter was a real snoozefest even with Manny in the same class.

"To hit you over the head with a book to wake you?"

I mean, from her I would not mind that once in a while. Oh and for her to do that while she wore her old school uniform that she used to wear to school too. She'll be like my tutor while I'm the hot clueless student.

"Harsh, just cuz Rotter's more of a pain than Hackett is with his teaching shit."

At least Hackett was more fun to mess with than Rotter.

"Alright."

Score, now she was officially my hot private English tutor while myself, with Jackson's help, tutor her in math.

Wednesday: Fashion Emergency

Frankie's POV

It was a Wednesday evening. After I took a nice shower, I came out of my apartment bedroom and sported black leggings and a baby blue t-shirt with a lightning bolt on the front. As I entered my bedroom, my iCoffin rang on my bedside table.

It was Clawdeen. I answered the call and put her on speaker as I made sure to have gotten my homework done before I turned in for the night.

"Hey, Clawdeen."

"Yo Frankie, just got a text from Draculaura. She's not going to the dance Friday."

"What, why?" I asked her, worried that something serious could have happened.

"I'm on my way over right now to talk her down, but first I'm picking you up by the exchange student apartments."

"Alright I'll bolt over there to meet you."

After I ended the call, I took my iCoffin, wallet and apartment keys before I took my light blue lightning themed jacket then headed out to the front of the complex.

At Draculaura's mansion…

As me and Clawdeen arrived at Draculaura's mansion by car, we both walked upstairs and heard her crying in her bedroom. We both peered the door open and saw our ghoulfriend curled up in a ball.

"Hey Draculaura." I greeted.

"I-I can't find the perfect outfit for the dance Friday. So I can't go!"

She clenched both her tiny fists before she placed them over her face and sobbed. I felt bad for her, not only was her boyfriend away at university, but it seemed like she felt lonely being cooped up in her mansion while her father stayed in Romania.

"Well, we'll all look through your closet and find something amazing for your birthday." I suggested.

She put both hands on her head, still kneeled on her pink king size bed. "Have you seen my closet? Even my maids have a hard time maintaining it."

"Oh right, it's a maze." Clawdeen replied.

I mean, it's a closet. It can't be that large, even in a mansion. Back in the UK, I had a couple of classmates that had large closets that were the size of my apartment.

"A maze? Come on it can't be that-"

Draculaura got up and opened her closet door.

"...bad?"

Well…I mean, it's layered at least, just a bit dim.

Clawdeen shifted her eyes toward mine.

"Ghoulfriend, Drac's closet ain't nothing like a normal ghoul's."

"It could take weeks to find the right clothes!"

Draculaura shouted as her voice echoed then we walked in and descended the round, swirling staircase.

I wondered how on earth was all this made into a closet space!

"I wish there was more light in here."

Speaking of light, I smiled as I felt my bolts spark.

"Oh I got this." I pointed my left finger upward and shot an electric current which lit up her whole closet.

"Whoa…" I said out loud as I saw the layers of pink and black themed attire. Some Victorian couture pieces mixed in there.

"Yup, this closet's bigger than Cleo's ego…" Clawdeen remarked.

Imagine the size of Cleo's closet given how much stuff she buys from her shopping trips coupled with her family's wealth.

"About 1601 years worth of outfits. A-and I've worn every single one."

She leaned against the spiral banister and looked down.

I gestured both my hands out and clapped my hands together, in hopes that I encouraged her a bit.

"There's gotta be something in here you haven't worn. We'll find something."

"But how? You see all this!?"

Clawdeen smirked as she both put hands on her hips, as enthusiastic as I was to assist.

"Don't worry ghoulfriend."

She pointed her clawed right hand to her face, well more like her wolf snout.

"The nose knows."

As Clawdeen sniffed, me and Draculaura walked all the way down to the bottom floor of her towered closet.

"It's hopeless. She groaned before she turned toward me and covered her face in shame when a girl has a fashion crisis.

"The dance is less than two days away and I just want to fang my head and cry."

"I got a feeling we're gonna find you an outfit that's so crazy awesome cool that when you walk into that dance, every head's gonna turn."

She was the birthday ghoul after all so I understood why Draculaura expected nothing more than perfection.

"You really think so?" She smiled and clasped her hands together, hopeful with my advice.

I put my left hand behind Draculaura's back and comforted her with a smile. "I know so."

And I did know so. In fact, my schoolmates back from my old UK preparatory school all had exceptionally high standards when it came to having fashion standards for their social gatherings.

"Oooh, ghouls!? I think I found something." Clawdeen called out as she pushed out a chest that contained some sort of ancient transcript.

"My nose is telling me that there's something unbelievable in here."

"Oh, I forgot my Dad sent me this from Romania quite a while back!"

Draculaura walked over and read the transcript which I gathered was in an ancient Romanian language.

"It's from my great great grandmother. It says here 'Open only in case of fashion emergency.'"

She gasped as she figured out that technically, this was an emergency.

"This is totally an emergency!"

Clawdeen pointed a finger toward her right hand and asked me, "Hey, Frankie. How about a hand?"

"You got it." I nodded, as I got what she referred to. I unstitched my left hand which crawled into the crack of the chest, and opened it. Each of us peeked inside and gaped in awe.

"Whoa…"

Several minutes later…

Draculaura looked at her outfit in the mirror. It was a knee length pink hot pink Victorian dress layered with white ruffled silk at the bottom. The dress also came accessorized with a pearl a white miniature Victorian hat shaped in a heart with black lace coupled with a white choker that had a ruby gemstone on it. Finally, Draculaura paired the Victorian outfit and wore black heels with hearts on the end that she previously wore from a couple of other outfits.

"Oh my god, it's, it's…perfect."

She did another spin in front of the mirror even though her reflection did not show except for her outfit.

"Hey look at this, another one you've never worn." Clawdeen took out a classic European purple thigh high dress accented both with gold buttons and trim. The collar was shaped like bat wings.

"I think you should wear it."

Clawdeen's eyes widened and smiled at her ghoul friend's very kind gesture. "Really!?"

Then Draculaura walked over toward the opened chest.

"By the way Frankie, here is another dress I found in the box. Since I am too short to wear it due to its length, here."

I took the dress she lent me. It was a strapless red open slit thigh dress that came with a gold belt complimented with a black and gold necklace. I smiled and nodded at her.

"Wow, thanks Draculaura."

"Heehee. Anything for my best ghoulfriends. Hey, since you'll be selling juice at the dance this Friday, better keep it with you separately to change into afterward for your date."

She gave me a nudge paired with a wink. Well, hopefully the juice sells this Frightday.

Thursday: Bake Sale Preparation Madness

"Okay ghouls and mansters. We're doing great. If we keep making goodies like this, we'll be able to sell them at the Fraidy Hawkins dance this Friday to then help pay for the Spring Fling dance." Draculaura told everyone in the school's kitchen.

I helped out both the cooking club and student council with food prep for this Frightday's Fraidy Hawkins dance. Draculaura checked in on Deuce and Abbey who were working on one of the desserts.

"Hey Abbey, how are the yak milk mini cakes coming along?" I heard Draculaura ask the culinary duo.

Deuce prepared the cakes while Abbey froze them then she put each batch in and out of the oven.

"Is good. We now down to second last batch." Abbey nodded as she froze another cake plate.

"Yeah, dudes. Abbey, great suggestion on the cakes." Deuce replied as he mixed the cake batter while a few others mixed themselves using mixer machines.

Then she walked over to where me and Billy were with our desserts.

"Frankie, what are you and Billy working on with Twyla's help?"

"We're working on a recipe for some ice cream waffle cookies. That should sell really well alongside my juice, right?"

I replied as I held the recipe book while Billy handled more of the food prep side of things. I was just the ingredient provider as me with any cooking appliances turned out to be disastrous.

"Ooooh, right! That sounds totes delish! What ingredients do you need?" Draculaura asked me.

"Um, just milk and sprinkles. I was going to put unicorn mane but then there are students like Neighthan who can't eat their own kind." I put a finger to my lip.

I saw that Dracualura cringed at the thought of possible cannibalism, given that she was a vegan.

"Okay, I'll get back to you on that, heehee. What about more of your fruit punch that you'll be selling to the dance alongside your basic juices?"

Fruit punch? Oh right I think I knew what she referred to.

"I didn't make any punch. I asked Howleen and Heath to prepare it since I'll just be selling it for this Friday's dance." I added.

"Then what were the ingredients in that container with the flame symbol on it?"

"Heath called it Flame Punch. While Howleen was preparing the fruits to go into the bowl last night after Heath fixed up a new electric high speed blender, he accidentally set fire to the punch itself. Needless to say, it tastes good."

It did taste good after I sampled it. I mean, Heath helped create flavour toward the punch, and added a spicy kick.

"But um, is that safe on non-fire elemental stomachs?"

As Draculaura kept asking the monster food safety questions, Deuce, the head chef, walked over to us.

"No worries, Draculaura. With Abbey's yak milk cakes, the punch will balance out the spicy taste."

"And once yak milk cakes are all gone, Abbey will cool down the punch using ice."

"This dance is gonna be clawsome." I heard Billy added.

"So, how are you and Scarah? She ask you to the dance tomorrow?"

"Actually, she read my mind then asked me."

"Nice."

Deuce high fived Billy. Huh, so Billy was Scarah's boyfriend. Who knew? I wondered if I would get a boyfriend…

Then my mind drifted off toward seeing Heath's face pop up. I shook my head.

'He just got out of a long term relationship. Stop it Francine!'

"Hey ghoul, you alright?" I heard Draculaura asked me.

I looked down and she saw my beet red face.

"Your face looks like a Christmas wreath right now. You ask anyone to the dance?"

I bit my lip. I could not tell her given that it was her and now Abbey's ex boyfriend.

"C-can I maybe tell you on Friday?" I asked her as I did not want the others to hear.

"Okay, ghoulfriend."

Friday: Frankie's Joltin Juice and Heath's Flame Punches

No POV

Evening…

The evening of the Fraidy Hawkins Valentine's Day dance was present at Monster High. Any manster that was asked to attend by a ghoul was in attendance. Frankie made smoothies for the Valentine's Day dance with the assistance of Howleen's set of claws.

"Alright, Frankie. I got the juice machine set up for our stand." Howleen announced.

"That's clawsome Howleen. Thanks for helping out." Frankie walked over and displayed a name card on the table saying OPEN.

"That blender made quick work of the fruit punch me and Heath made." Howleen added as she started up the juice blender.

The mint skinned ghoul clapped her hands, enthusiastic for the amount of juice ready to be sold.

"Okay Howleen. You will serve our customers the flame punch while I go ahead and start making my fruit juices. I like to call it 'Frankie's Fruitopia'."

"You got it. Hey look, here comes our first customers." The young wolf ghoul called out.

Monster High's top couple, Cleo and Deuce walked over toward the juice stand.

"Hey Frankie. We'll have one sour scare blast." Cleo said.

"You got it!"

As Frankie put the fruit into the high speed electric blender, Howleen prepared the money box.

"That will be $2." The tall Gorgon handed Howleen the change.

"Here, have a super healthy vitamin replenishing drink before you hit the dance floor."

Frankie handed the pair the smoothie encased in a clear plastic cup with a sticker label on it. Cleo proceeded to take the first sip followed by Deuce.

"Oh my rah! This sour scare blast is divine."

"Everyone here, get your fruit punch! Get it while it's hot!"

Additional students that came in lined up and asked Howleen for the fruit punch.

Lagoona and Gil walked over upon the growing lineup toward the juice booth as the seawater ghoul held a beverage alongside a half full plate of cake.

"Hey guys you should try the seaweed sling Frankie whipped up before she opened up the stand. It goes great with the yak milk cake."

Billy and Abbey, who facilitated the yak cake stand across from the juice bar, also had students lining up for samples.

"Yak cakes, yak cakes. Get your yak cakes. Goes good with fruit punch, da?"

As Abbey helped gather customers, Billy handed out yak cakes to the nearby students.

"That will be $5. Thanks, enjoy."

Scarah, Twyla, and Draculaura approached the juice stand. Frankie smiled and greeted them.

"Hey ghouls. What can I get you?"

"A scary berry shake, please." Draculaura said.

"I'll have the flame punch." Scarah requested.

"I'll have what Scarah's having." Twyla muttered.

"Alright, that'll be $2 each." The trio handed Howleen the change and Frankie gently handed them over the drinks.

"Here you go. One scary berry shake and two flame punches."

"Making specialty drinks sure seems like a lot of work Frankie." Draculaura commented as she took a sip of her shake.

Scarah took a sip of her flame punch and gasped at how it tasted.

"Oh wow. This punch is…delicious. Can I get another cup for Billy?"

"Alright, 2 bucks ghoulfriend." Howleen smirked as Scarah gave the wolf ghoul the additional change.

"Oh wow, it's like it goes right through you. I feel…energized a bit." Twyla added as she took another sip of her fruit punch beverage.

"It's all for a good cause after all." Frankie replied as she put a few various fruits in cups before she added, "Besides, I like the customizing."

Toralei and the werecats walked by, with the juice booth currently making a steady profit.

"And if you don't like it, I'd be happy to make you another."

The orange werecat smirked.

'Hmm, seems like the exchange ghoul is quite the socialite ain't she? And helpful too, no wonder she's been the talk of the senior class these past couple of weeks…'

As Toralei looked at her iCoffin, she wanted to go over to where Abbey was and provide the yeti ghoul what Frankie had been doing around Heath even though Abbey mutually ended their relationship due to conflict of interests.

"Okay, let me or Abbey know how much money we raise. Toodles."

Draculaura and Scarah left and walked back toward the gym where the dance floor was, Twyla stayed next to Howleen. The petite ghoul noticed The Student Disembody President and the werecat twins walked over to the booth.

"Oh, did you hear that?"

The orange werecat dramatically placed her left clawed hand on her face and put her other one out as a gesture.

"Suddenly I'm totally parched from showing off my moves."

The werecat twins behind Toralei meowed and snickered before the trio walked over toward Frankie's stand. Howleen glared at the trio, and knew full well why her older sister was not fond of her.

"Hey Toralei, Purrsephone, Meowlody. Can I get you a smoothie?" Frankie asked as she put on her normal, helpful side.

"Or fruit punch?" Howleen asked as she crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.

"That's why we're here." Toralei crossed her arms while she maintained her cat-like grin.

Meowlody walked over toward Howleen, as she was curious about the fruit punch.

"Can I get one cup of fruit pu-" However, Toralei elbowed her.

"First, you gotta pay up. For each of you, $2."

Howleen said as she held out her petite wolf hand. Toralei placed $6 on the table.

"Alright, fair. As Student Disembodied President, not everything comes free."

Frankie blended various fruits and poured three cups.

"Try my fierce Feline refueler. Got a pinch of catnip."

Toralei took the cup from the table, took a sip and yakked in response.

"Blech, this is awful."

Frankie clasped both hands in an apologetic gesture.

"Oh no. Well, I'll be happy to make you another."

"In the meantime, would you like that flame punch?" Howleen asked as she put one hand on her hip, while she refrained a growl.

"Yes please." Meowlody perked up as Toralei glared toward the werecat twin.

"I'm thirsty okay?" The werecat twin replied in a huff.

"Ugh, fine." Toralei rolled her eyes before she whispered toward Purrsephone, "This is gonna be fun."

As Frankie prepared another drink to appease the orange werecat ghoul, Howleen handed Meowlody the fruit punch beverage.

"Try this, a little less catnip and more tuna."

Toralei took the new cup and sipped it before she handed it back toward the helpful ghoul, still unimpressed while carrying malicious intent toward eventually threatening Frankie's good natured image.

"Ugh, bland."

The blonde haired werecat twin sipped the fruit punch, with a positive reaction and spoke a complete sentence.

"Oh wow, this fruit punch is actually great! It's got a spicy kick to it." She took another sip.

As Frankie put the drink back, a short chubby gargoyle student attempted to grab the drink, however Howleen caught him with her wolf senses.

"Ah ah ah. You wanna drink? $2." She put her hand out, and gestured to the student to pay up.

"Rrrgh, fine." He handed her the change.

"Psst Howls, I'll help you out while Frankie is trying to please Ms. President here."

Twyla whispered over to her wolf friend.

"Thanks, Twy." Howleen smiled.

A few minutes later…

As the line toward the juice booth grew with each passing minute, Frankie scraped off a couple of lemons.

'Geez, now I know why the ghouls speak ill of Toralei, she is one ghoul that is hard to please…' The mint green ghoul thought.

"I put some lemon zest in this one."

Toralei turned around and crossed her arms, with an intent on stopping the juice stand from gaining additional profit.

"Well, take it out. And make it colder."

The chubby gargoyle student perked up but Howleen watched his grubby paws like a bat.

"You want more? Cough it up."

Twyla managed the drink machine as both her best friend and Frankie tried to deal with making the stuck up Student Disembody President a satisfying beverage.

'There is a saying that the customer is always right…' The petite ghoul thought in her head.

"E-extra ice?"

Frankie handed Toralei the cup as she felt her social anxiety resurface from the pressure that was put on her.

"Ugh, too cold. And more oranges." Frankie's bolts sparked.

"Speaking of cold, I'm gonna go over here to try some yak milk cake." Meowlody said to her orange werecat friend as she walked off, her twin sister followed.

"Fine, whatever."

As Howleen watched the line grow with some now impatient students, Frankie was getting nervous in the process.

She looked at Twyla, who nodded at an attempt to continuously generate profits.

"Alright ghouls and mansters! While the smoothie stand is on hold, anyone wanna buy some flame punch?" The petite wolf ghoul nodded.

The students that waited in line nodded as they lined up where Howleen was for the fruit punch.

A few minutes later…

Frankie squirted oranges into Toralei's cup.

The orange werecat pointed at the drink in disgust.

"These oranges aren't fresh."

The mint green ghoul's bolts sparked again and nervously smiled while apologizing.

"Oh sorry, I'll cut some right up."

Toralei chuckled while Meowlody and Purrsephone happily ate Abbey's yak milk cake.

Half an hour later…

"Sigh." Nervous and tired, Frankie's bolts sparked to the point of accidentally electrocuting the blender before she handed a drink that caught in the current next to them. Toralei grabbed a drink out of disinterest

"N-no! Don't touch that!"

However, Toralei got zapped after she took a sip.

Frankie held both hands clenched worried that she caused an internal injury toward the werecat ghoul.

"Oh voltage. Sorry Toralei."

Toralei however, had a change of heart and decided that she was satisfied with her drink and had extra energy to burn.

"Oh, n-not bad. I'm trying to hate it but meow!"

She happily handed Purrsephone the drink before she returned back to dance on the dance floor. Purrsephone and Meowlody each took a sip of the drink and felt a jolt while they joined their orange werecat friend.

Heath walked by as he sported a red half sleeve rolled up dress shirt that was complimented with a gray vest and blue jeans with black and red boots decorated with flames.

He noticed that his date was alright and even wanted to help her out with gathering customers. He casually approached her.

"Hey, looks like I'm having whatever they're having." As he walked over to the juice stand in front of Frankie, he crossed his arms and smiled both in approval and a bit of flirtation. "Hey, cutie. Zap one up for me!"

"Well since we cleaned out the flame punch, Frankie it looks like your juice bar is all on you. I'll help!" Howleen skipped over after setting the empty punch container toward the side with Twyla's assistance.

As Howleen gathered the extra fruit, Frankie took on taking the orders for the rest of their shift. Other students upon having heard Heath wanted to try Frankie's juice, attracted other students and a couple of faculty members, including the Headmistress. The dance floor was packed.

An hour later…

Howleen wiped her forehead in both relief and exhaustion.

"Phew, looks like that's the last customer."

Frankie put her hands up and down while her right hand she detached cleaned up the table, jumped in excitement that both the dance and the juice was well received.

"Woohoo! Looks like my Joltin' Juice has got this dance goin'."

Abbey walked over with Draculaura to where Frankie was. The pair both praised her with a smile.

"Hey Frankie! Sounds like the juice was a success. Abbey told me that after she sold her last yak milk cake, she raised $500 for the Spring Fling dance!" The petite vampire clapped her hands.

"Heh, well Abbey only had time to make 100 cakes. Should be thanking Heath for flame punch attracting students to Abbey's stand. Billy managed to sell ice cream waffle cookies too, raised $400."

Abbey added as she held her sealed money box.

Frankie realized that her shift had just finished and needed to get changed.

"Oh bolts! I got to change into my dress you gave me Draculaura." She walked over toward the petite vampire, and begged for the extra set of hands.

"Heehee, don't worry ghoul friend. I'll walk you to the bathroom since I don't have a date this year."

Twyla walked over, wanting to help out Frankie with carrying the attire.

"Hey, I'll come with you both and stand guard outside the bathroom."

"Abbey will stay and help Howleen clean up." The blue yeti said.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." Howleen sighed in relief.

"Is no problem. Howleen also did good work."

Abbey picked up the moneybag from the juice stand table.

"Abbey will take this money and lock it up in safe box in student council room."

In the washrooms…

Draculaura knocked in front of the stall her ghoulfriend occupied to change.

"Hey Frankie, how's it going?"

"Well, I got it on. But um…I think it's a little revealing in the upper area." Frankie shyly replied.

"Well, open the door already." Draculaura said, eager to see how Frankie looked.

The taller stitched skunk haired ghoul slowly opened the stall door then walked up to the mirror as she wore the red, strapless, open slit thigh dress accentuated with a gold belt.

The petite vampire gasped.

"Oh my ghoul, you look hot!"

Frankie turned around and quickly observed the dress and shyly asked, "You think it looks good on me?"

"Of course, ghoul friend." Draculaura nodded and turned toward the washroom door.

"Hey Twyla, come in and check out Frankie!"

The petite boogey ghoul opened the door and opened her mouth in amazement.

"Whoa, someone better ring the fire alarm cuz this ghoul here is ready to walk the red carpet."

Frankie lightly blushed at the extra praise she received.

"Alright, let's get back to the dance!" Draculaura said.

Heath's POV

As I helped my cousin out and provided a music playlist for the DJ booth, he approached as I tuned up my officially now MY acoustic guitar.

"Yo. You got your guitar ready?" I heard him ask me and nodded.

"Yeah, if it wasn't for Operetta, our FrightTube collab channel would have gone on hiatus."

Part of the reason I spent weekends at my cousin's place was to not only get away from my parents, but also to make short music videos with Holt. Otherwise when it's Jackson, it's for homework…well, a combination of both homework help and copying off his notes due to me having difficulties staying focused in class.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I managed to give Mo an earful on that and his ghoul helped out with reimbursing the cost."

I appreciated that my cousin always had my back no matter what or where he was at. And Ghoulia too.

"Ghoulia did not have to do that." I replied.

"You both are buds no?"

"Well, yeah…" I muttered.

Given that he also hung out with the nerd crowd, it was no secret that he'd be around Ghoulia and her science friends in either form.

Especially around her. I swear my cousin knew more than I did myself sometimes.

I couldn't deny it, I had my eye on her and even my best friend Manny was right.

"Whoa! Someone ring the alarm, hot ghoul coming in!"

Me and my cousin heard wolf whistles and catcalls coming from the other side of the gym as the music continued playing. There were plenty of fine girls at this dance but I was not interested in any of them. I was not an arrogant dumbass like I was two years ago when I first came to Monster High.

As I finished tuning up my guitar, my cousin nudged me. "Bro, is that your ghoul?"

My ghoul was no longer mine anymore since last Frightday. And I was not in the mood to even pay attention.

Okay perhaps I still held a bit of my arrogant side. Couldn't help it, comes with the territory. I turned toward Holt and faced him with an annoyed expression as I set my acoustic down behind the booth.

"I already told you, me and Abbey broke up. She can do whatever she wa-"

As I glanced toward the opposite end of the gym, my eyes widened and my jaw dropped.

Damn, there she was. Now all dressed up. And she walked over toward the dance floor.

"Wow! Frankie-fine Stein in da hisouse!"

She was not just fine, but smokin' hot. Showing off some thigh as her hips swayed a little. It was no secret why a lot of guys wanted her to ask any one of them to the dance.

And yet she asked me, but only as a bargaining chip. I'm pretty sure she did it just because she wanted me to go but not actually with her because she was just a nice ghoul that just tended to motivate others.

As my loudmouthed cousin called out to her, her eyes shifted toward us both were standing on the DJ booth. I couldn't help but now stare at her large, pretty eyes as she stared back at mine.

She walked over with Twyla and Draculaura beside her.

"Hey, guys. You setting up for Heath's guitar solo?"

"Well, looks like my dress I lent you turned quite a few heads for you, ghoul."

Granted she always looked good in red.

"Y-yeah. It's kind of awkward actually…" She said as she crossed her arms over her rack to conceal her rack.

Her rack was not as large as Abbey's was, but it was not too small either. Guess she was not used to wearing clothing that normally girls like her would wear.

From the first day I met her, she went from a 3, then maybe a 6 when I first saw her without her glasses to an 8 or a 9 when she wore a swimsuit or anything sexy like the dress she currently wore.

"What? It sounds like you already had someone in mind to show off your curves to."

He must be one lucky guy. Oh wait, that guy would be me since she asked the Heathster to be her date tonight.

"Well, cuz. You ready?"

I heard Holt asked me, with that same enthusiasm he always had to get this dance going before it ended soon.

"Yeah." I replied as I continued to stare back toward Frankie and smiled while I gave her a compliment in the Heathster's words.

"By the way, you look smokin', Frankie."

"Thanks." She lightly blushed then walked closer toward me and whispered into my ear.

"Can you walk me home after you're done?" She whispered sweetly.

I felt a light blush crept up on my handsome face and mouthed, "Okay." to her.

"Alright, let's go dance!"

I heard Draculaura say but my ears registered only Frankie's voice.

30 minutes later…

The dance still went on after what initially felt like a long evening with only a couple of songs left. I gave my cousin a signal to come and grab me later then lent him my guitar.

"Hey, cuz. I'm gonna call it a night. I gotta walk Frankie back to her apartment."

Holt grinned at me. I swear what did he know?

"Dude you better tell me if she gives you a lil something. So I can borrow your car since you're coming back to my place after?"

"Yeah, yeah." I waved, then lent Holt my car keys then looked around, only in confusion to not see Frankie.

'Huh, she's not at the gym. I better callher.' I pulled out my iCoffin.

Scene switch…

No POV

By the school entrance…

Meanwhile, Frankie quickly met up with Draculaura, Clawdeen, and Howleen near the school main entrance before she would walk back to her apartment with Heath.

"Hey Frankie. You sure you can't stay longer?" Draculaura asked.

"Yeah. Besides, I don't want to get in the way. Everyone else is with their dates. It is Valentine's Day." Frankie nodded plus she had to go back and recharge her volts that discharged earlier from the juice booth.

"Well I wish I could take you home but Clawdeen, Twyla, and Howleen are sleeping over at my place tonight. I could try to squeeze you in my car."

As the petite vampire pondered, Clawdeen walked over with both Howleen and Twyla beside her.

"Hey Drac. Let's bounce." The wolf ghoul said as she put one hand on her hip.

"But sis! Can't we stay a bit longer?"

Howleen begged as she wanted to continue to mingle with the older students. The older wolf sister firmly told her the opposite.

"No! Besides, mama asked me to take you to Draculaura's house by 11. You still have a curfew, remember?"

"Yeah, whatever. You're no fun." Howleen huffed and glared at her older sister.

Clawdeen however ignored Howleen's miniature rebellion act and turned toward Frankie, worried for her friend that it was not only dark but also cold outside being the middle of February.

"Yo Frankie. You sure you'll be okay going home by yourself? It's chilly out there even with a coat on."

The mint stitched ghoul shrugged off Clawdeen's concerns as she would not be by herself.

"It's fine. My place is not far from the school."

"Oh right! Duh, you live in the same apartment building as Abbey. Too bad she already left after collecting the funds…" Draculaura mentioned.

"My bad ghoul. I should have asked her to walk with you…" Howleen held both hands behind her back with a look of guilt.

Frankie's iCoffin rang. She looked and saw Heath's number popped up on her screen. She smiled and looked up at the trio to assure them she was fine.

"It's okay. I gotta take this. I'll see you guys at school Monday!"

"Alright. Stay warm."

Twyla said as she left with Howleen, Draculaura, and Clawdeen.

Frankie picked up the iCoffin.

"Hey Heath."

"Hey, I was looking for you. Where are you?"

"I'm outside the school entrance near the parking lot. I was with Clawdeen and Draculaura before they left to go and take Howleen and Twyla home."

"Alright, wait for me. I'll meet you there so I can walk you home. I lent my cousin my car so I'll call him to come get me once I escort you back."

"Okay." As she hung up the call, a familiar presence walked up toward Frankie.

"Reowww, it sure is cold tonight."

She immediately recognized it was Toralei.

"Y-yeah. It is…" Frankie slightly shivered as she felt her breath let out a light puff.

"So, where's your date?" Toralei casually asked her with a smirk and arms crossed in her black leather jacket.

"Well, I don't exactly have one." Frankie replied, which was the half truth. She did not fully trust the orange werecat and pretended to act cool and casual.

"Hmph, could have fooled me. I saw how many guys turned their heads toward you tonight. Without those large glasses and that preppy attire you wear."

Toralei commented as the werecat eyed Frankie's revealing dress with her cat eyes. Frankie was confused on what Toralei wanted from her as the orange werecat already gave her a hard time with her juice stand.

"Why do you care?" Frankie held both hands on her hips, her tone now less cheerful.

Toralei slowly walked around Frankie in a circle in an attempt to intimidate the green haired ghoul and fetch more from her.

"I don't. Although, I am curious about you. How do you do it, Francine?"

"Huh?" Frankie replied as she raised an eyebrow.

The Student Disembody President stepped closer toward the exchange ghoul, cupped her chin, and left Frankie with no choice but to stare uncomfortably toward the orange werecat.

"You can play airhead all you want but I know your game."

Frankie backed away, having felt this conversation going another direction she was uncomfortable in. She attempted to change the topic toward Toralei's own well being.

"Shouldn't you be getting back to your friends?"

"I would but they left me tonight. Went home with two mansters. Out of my claws."

The orange werecat looked away and shrugged. Frankie began to sympathize with her a bit as she seemed lonely having to take on many responsibilities as both student council president and student, which Frankie suspected left Toralei with little time toward socializing.

"Oh, I'm sorry…"

Though it was questionable how much Toralei actually did for the student council beyond the image she conveyed.

Toralei turned back around and glared. She was not in the mood to discuss how her social life went as she barely had one as is before she pointed a clawed finger toward Frankie's face.

"Tch. I don't need your pity. It's because of you that Abbey is no longer helping me out with my presidential duties."

From what Frankie recalled, Abbey made the choice to cut ties with her as all Toralei ever made Abbey do in their so-called friendship was Toralei making Abbey carry out her student council responsibilities and corrected Toralei on her accusation.

"Funny, from what Abbey mentioned you were letting her do all your work while you were off doing your own things."

"It's called lending a helping hand."

"More like taking advantage of them."

As both ghouls were at a standstill in their now heated discussion, two mansters approached them that Frankie did not know.

"Hey now, baby. Don't insult the Student Disembodied President." One of the mansters said in a protective tone.

"W-what?"

One of them was a vampire and the other was a werewolf. Toralei immediately picked up unwanted attention and proceeded to head back inside toward the gymnasium as the dance neared its conclusion for the night.

"It's okay boys. This one did not lay a hand on me. Anyway I'll be heading back to the dance having to stay late being in the committee. Toodles."

The two mansters got in between Frankie as she was now alone. The werewolf whispered toward her, to Frankie his breath reeked of rotten dog food.

"Well now, you sure were looking fine tonight on the dance floor."

"Um, thanks…" She replied while her legs shook.

The vampire gripped her right arm with greater force.

"Say, baby. Why don't we go somewhere?"

Frankie looked away as she felt her bolts spark and politely told them that she already had company.

"No, that's okay. I am waiting for someone."

"Well there's nobody else out here. The night is still young after all."

As the scantily dressed ghoul attempted to fight off the hold both mansters put on her, she heard a familiar voice come from the entrance doorway.

"She said no, shithead."

It was Heath. And he was not happy to see his date been held against her will.

"Heath?"

The vampire let go of Frankie's arm and casually approached the fire elemental with a grin.

"Well well, if it ain't the school's casketball team captain."

"Hey, yeah. Heard this loser got dumped by the Student Disembodied Vice President."

The wolf added in an attempt to break the fire elemental's ego that surrounded his reputation.

"Not much of a hotshot now aren't ya?"

As both the vampire and wolf mansters laughed upon having teased her crush for having had his heart broken, she held both hands on her hips with an angry pout.

"Hey stop it. That's not very nice."

The vampire abruptly walked over toward where the prep ghoul was and grabbed Frankie's right wrist coupled with a threat toward her.

"I think you need to know your place."

Before he could drag her off toward a secluded area, Heath shot a small fireball on the vampire's right shoulder that caused him to immediately let go of her arm and yelp in pain.

"Grah!"

"You'll pay for that, Burns!"

The wolf manster shouted as he got ready to unleash his supersede ability, Heath kicked him in the groin that caused the wolfman to yelp and groan in pain.

"Let's go Wolven." The vampire told his wolf friend as he stormed off back inside. Wolves groaned and followed his vampire friend.

Heath went over to Frankie and took her right hand in his.

"Come on. I'll take you home."

The blue-green eyed ghoul looked toward Heath and saw that he was worried about her.

'If Heath had not shown up, I could have been hurt…he protected me again.'

"Thanks…" Frankie said to the fire elemental as she walked with him.

"You okay?" Heath asked her.

"Yeah. Why?" Frankie nodded before she asked him out of curiosity why he went far enough to defend her.

"Sorry. I should have gotten to you earlier."

"It's alright. I wasn't waiting long."

The pair walked in silence for several seconds before the fire elemental sighed and asked her while he showed some concern in his voice.

"What happened?"

"It was just Toralei being her catty self." Frankie looked away for a brief moment.

"Crazy Cat Prez? Why would she have a problem with you?"

She recalled Toralei mentioned directly to her that she was the reason Abbey was no longer associating with her then the time she showed her the Heath/Jackson Ghostly Gossip blog post last month. She does not want to exactly tell Heath this as she did not want to have him get involved in this being a manster over what at first seemed to be just petty gossip.

So she replied back to his question regarding Toralei that connected her with being around Cleo and the other ghouls.

"It is probably due to the fact that I am friends with Cleo and her group."

"Makes sense. Heard they're still at each other's throats especially since Abbey cut ties with her."

"Yeah, haha. Was not expecting to be caught up in all of this so fast." She replied with a sarcastic tone.

"What do you mean?" The fire elemental raised an eyebrow.

"I knew a girl who was similar to Toralei back at my old school in the UK. I was friends with her. Crazy I know coming from a clumsy, socially awkward ghoul such as myself."

"Well that explains where you get your spoiled princess qualities from." Heath chuckled.

Frankie stopped but was not annoyed at Heath for that remark as it was valid. She took the opportunity to ask him more about why he stayed at Jackson/Holt's house every weekend rather than his own home.

"Hey, how come you stay over at Jackson's most of your weekends?"

He faced her and gave her a sad smile before he looked down at the light snow covered sidewalk.

"It's a long story. All I can say is my family is selfish."

Frankie saw that Heath closed his eyes and sighed and wanted to know more.

"Selfish?"

"You don't know?"

"Know what?"

The fire elemental chuckled again, he secretly enjoyed playing twenty questions with her.

"My family runs a big jewelry business. Burning Gems. Well, more on my mom's end than my dad's." He casually shrugged.

Frankie's eyes perked up as she put her free hand on Heath's shoulder.

"Oh! I see their ads often online. How is having a successful company like that make them selfish? It's not like you live in a big extravagant mansion or anything."

Heath felt a light pink resurface on his cheeks, and it was not due to the cold winter temperature.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Did I say something wrong?" Frankie bit her lip and shivered.

"Don't worry about it. Aren't you cold?" He took her other hand that rested on his shoulder and linked it with his, now both their hands interlocked with each other.

"Who me?"

"Would you like me to warm you up till we reach your place?" He grinned, in the mood to tease her for a bit.

Frankie let go of one of her hands that held Heath's to cover her mouth.

"Achoo!"

The fire elemental laughed as they resumed their walk. Come on."

A few minutes later…

As the pair approached the front of the Monster exchange student apartment complex, Frankie took out her building and room keys from her coat pocket before she turned toward Heath.

"Thanks for walking me back."

The fire elemental shrugged and blushed before he replied, "It was not that far from the school. I texted my cousin to bring my car up to get me when he was done."

Frankie noticed that her other hand was still linked with the fire elementals. She figured because of the cold, he did not yet notice.

"Um, you can let go of my hand now."

However, Heath smiled at her as flames had risen out of his hair.

"Not before I warm you up a bit."

He took her delicate hand to his lips before he kissed it.

Frankie's eyes widened while she felt a blush crept up to her cheeks. "O-oh. Um…"

Heath took this opportunity to ask her out.

"I was thinking that maybe we could-"

However, a loud car horn honked behind them that just parked in front of the apartment complex. A familiar nerd-like voice called out toward their direction.

"Hey Heath! I'm here. Got your stuff and Holt's all loaded up in the back. You ready to go?"

The fire elemental groaned as he turned around and saw Jackson.

"Hey, cuz…"

Frankie gently pulled her hand away from Heath's as she opened the complex entrance.

"Guess that's your cue. Hi Jackson!"

The spectacled teen waved toward Frankie.

"Hey Frankie. Hopefully Heath's not being a handful again…"

"Not at all. Well, it's late. Better be getting inside before I catch a cold…"

Heath turned around and waved before he got into his car Jackson was driving for him.
