"So, you didn't listen to me. Used magic anyway. Now, purgatory?" Piper demanded.
"I technically didn't use magic. I was looking for help from Grams—not an Elder. At least we got somewhere." Paige knew Piper was upset. There was no easy way around the situation.
Phoebe Halliwell scanned through the pages. "What did the Elder say, exactly?"
"It was risky to go there and to get back may need more than the Power of Three."
"Then, why are we continuing to look through the book?" Piper stood next to Phoebe who was reading the entry in the Book.
"Purgatory is the place between life and death. It is the opportunity where sins of the inhabitants are judged to enter Heaven or Hell," Phoebe read from the Book of Shadows. 'The Storm pulls the souls to Heaven or Hell based on the life on Earth as well as life in purgatory. It is final judgment."
"Is the Storm a person or a being?" Paige asked and avoided Piper's annoyed expression.
"Doesn't say." Phoebe closed the book and scratched her head.
"Dante did travel with the poet, Virgil through the realms as his book, The Inferno, stated, "Leo informed. "What he experienced was written and then interpreted by those who translated the text. Many Christian scholars believe the text is an allegory of the Christian faith."
"What about magically?" Piper wondered. "Can a living person go to purgatory and be able to return?"
Leo started to connect the pieces. "Dante was able to, but he was guided by a ghost, who most likely was an Elder who was Virgil or glamoured to look like Virgil. The Elder wanted Dante to write the text to help early Christianity or to bring great literature to the world. That's why I'm questioning what the motive for the Elder to come to you in the first place, especially if he wasn't going to guide you down there."
"Isn't this typical Elder crap that we deal with?" Piper was not amused at all.
"There isn't a spell in the book?" Paige asked Phoebe who was still confused of the whole situation.
"No, not one. Did the Elder say it was hard to enter purgatory?"
"No, just risky to get out."
"Well, that means…"
"Paige, even Leo thinks this is questionable. There's more to this. Even if we write a spell, it doesn't mean we could return. The Elder already warned us…"
"Phoebe, I know, but if one of us goes then the Power of Three can still get me out, because Wyatt and Chris can reconstitute it to pull…
Piper was already ahead for this. "Are you willing to risk your life for a maybe? We're talking about Henry and the kids, not just us. Do you know the danger of you not returning could mean for the Power of Three? Wyatt nor Chris is ready to take on the Charmed legacy now. They're just kids still. Phoebe?"
"I think there's more to this than we know. I know the Elders, no matter how they can be cryptic, always have a reason. I went to the demon wasteland to find Cole, and you both helped me get there. I think Paige needs to go."
Piper's jaw was to the floor. "The risk…"
"The risk is part of our daily lives, Piper. Henry knows what we do, but I feel Paige needs to prepare Henry first before leaving. Then, he hears from her instead of us. If Henry…"
"Fine. I'll tell him, but we need to write a spell to get me there and to get me back. It's the only way Henry is going to go with this."
