Episode 4 new recruit
(We open up on the next day as we see Travis walking through the city with tappi beside him).
Travis:
(Last night was just insane…).
(Flashback to the duel that Travis had with the thug).
Travis:
(That duel I had was exhilarating but very dangerous. The strangest thing was the thug I dueled acted like a crazed cult follower high on bath salts. And the other day I caught him he acted like any normal thug on the streets of Coran city).
(Back to present).
Tappi-cat:
Must have been the power of the shard.
Travis:
What do you mean?
Tappi-cat:
I'm not entirely sure but celest use to tell us stories of that shard. From what I remember she said that it had the power to take control of a person's mind and soul, giving them extraordinary powers. And powers that are deadly as well. But she believed that it was lost after the dark hounds were locked away.
Travis:
Hmmm maybe it's some kind of hypnosis that these dark hounds are using then. What i still don't understand is how cren's body was torn up like that and disappeared.
Trappi-cat:
Celest told us. His soul was sucked inside of the shard.
Travis:
That I still find very hard to believe. There had to be a logical explanation to it.
Tappi-cat:
I will never understand the human mind. You easily believed in duel spirits existing and the damage you took from the duel last night but not someone's soul being removed from someone's body and the body crumbling into dust?
Travis:
Well I believe in the human soul but just find it a little hard to believe that it can be taken from the body so easily with the power of a children's trading card game. It just doesn't seem physically possible. But right now let's not focus on that. Let's just focus on finding members for the archound team.
Tappi-cat:
That is something I can agree on.
Travis:
Problem is this thing celst gave me hasn't worked at all?
Tappi-cat:
Well remember what she said. Sometimes duel spirits will reveal themselves to you if you have a strong connection with your cards and your deck
Travis:
So meaning. We are gonna have to duel a ton of people to see their duel spirits?
Tappi-cat:
I guess. But that would take too long to do. Hmmm (thinks a bit).oh wait. I think i have a spell that can help here.
Travis:
A spell?
Tappi-cat:
Yeah. I don't know why I didn't think about it in the first place. (pulls out an old scroll from his armor). Ah here it is.
Travis:
What is that scroll for?
Tappi-cat:
This is a ancient spell passed down from generations of samurai warriors. The spell of sight. It gives it's target the power to see things they normally cannot see.
Travis:
Yes. I find that hard to believe tappi but I will try anything once.
Tappi-cat:
Alright then. Now hold still Travis, this spell might tickle a little.
(Tappi opens up the scroll and begins to speak in Japanese as a symbol appears around Travis as it shines bright).
(As the symbol disappears Travis opens his eyes and sees a bunch of duel monsters surrounding kids and adults).
Travis:
Wow! I… I can see the duel spirits.
Tappi-cat:
Man, I am so glad I had that scroll around. Now then let's see if we can use that eye of truth on some duelists.
(The day goes on as Travis checks every person he sees with the eye of truth. However he finds no sign of a possible arc hound warrior).
(Travis makes his way to the police station as he is exhausted).
Officer 14:
Hey truesdale, you look like crap. What have you been doing all day?
Travis:
Umm.. you know just… just jogging and exercising.
Officer 14:
Oof i guess, it's part of your cardio routine. Well hey i won't keep ya (heads off).
(Travis sighs as he heads into his office and places his head on the desk as he rests until Johnny barges in).
Johnny:
Hey Travis, no sleeping! The chief wants us all in the main hall right now.
Travis:
(Freaks out and almost falls out of his chair) wait now?
Johnny:
What you got cotton in your ears? Come on!
(Travis gets up and heads out to the main hall, dropping the eye of truth as Johnny notices and picks it up examining it).
Chief stronghorn:
(Walks in front of the officers) alright men. Before i give your assignments today we have a special announcement. The department is sending over a new recruit just joining the force.
Officer 5:
Huh a new recruit?
Officer 2:
I didn't know we even needed one.
Chief stronghorn:
They should be here any minute and sadly we are not sure who this new recruit is but…
(Just then the doors to the office open as a shadowy figure steps in wearing a bike helmet as they walk in front of everyone).
Chief stronghorn:
Well speak of the devil. You the new recruit?
?:
That is right, I am.
(The figure stands in front of everyone and takes off their helmet as they are revealed to be a woman with dark purple hair, maroon eyes, while wearing a dark gray uniform with a blue skirt).
?:
The name is kira noboru. And I am the new recruit.
(Scene cut).
(As we cut back we see some of the officers cat call kira as she groans from it).
Johnny:
(Walks up to travis) hey travis you dropped this weird necklace thi… (notices kira) who is she?
Chief stronghorn:
Alright knock it off you bunch of hounds! Show some respect. Ahem! Miss noboru welcome to the coron city police force. Now listen men i want you to get the dogs out of ya friggin pants and treat this lady with some respect. Same respect that you give me.
Johnny:
New recruit? Huh. She is too gorgeous to be a new recruit.
Chief stronghorn:
Alright now everyone back to your posts and await your assignments for tonight.
(As they all disperse kira looks over and sees Travis as she comes close to him).
Johnny:
Uh oh she's coming over to us. How does my hair look?
Travis:
Huh?
Johnny:
Oh before i check myself (hands travis the eye of truth) here ya go ya dropped this.
Travis:
Oh. thanks Johnny (puts it back on).
Kira:
(Walks up to Johnny and Travis). Hey aren't you travis truesdale detective?
Travis:
Um yes… yes i am.
Kira:
Oh wow. I have read the reports about you. Heard of the amazing things you have done. And well… I have wanted to always meet you in person. Your one of the few people I idolize as an officer of the law and justice.
Travis:
Well really? Huh well i… I am quite impressed.
Kira:
Yes, it's one of the reasons I joined the force. Well not just to meet my idol but to do what people like you stand for. Always looking out for those who can't help themselves.
Johnny:
Heh well miss noboru you know, i am a pretty impressive officer as well.
Kira:
Uh huh sure. Anyway Mr Tuesdale I really hope that we get to work a lot together.
Johnny:]
Well same here…
(Kira growls as she sucker punches Johnny away).
Kira:
Jeez take a hint punk!
(Johnny flings back towards a desk as the other officers watch).
Kira:
Oof! I'm sorry. I guess I don't know my own strength when someone tries to flirt with me.
Travis:
Heh, I get that. But that is some right hook you got there (holds out his hand) . I look forward to working with you as well, miss noboru, and please you can call me travis. Most of my friends call me that.
Kira:
Oh heh okay travis (grabs travis's hand and shakes it) you can call me kira.
(Travis suddenly looks up and sees a strange blob floating around Kira and has a concerned look on his face).
Kira:
Is there something wrong travis?
Travis:
Ugh… nope. Nothing is wrong.
(2 officers walk up to Johnny and help him up).
Officer:
You all good johnny?
Officer 7:
Yeah she knocked you out pretty hard.
Johnny:
(Shakes his head) wow what a woman. She packs a punch.
Chief stronghorn:
Alright ya mooks. Here are some of your assignments. Travis… seems like you and the new recruit are gonna be going on a little patrol for some crimes. Good for you miss noboru.
Kira:
Huh? Really?
Johnny:
What the?
Travis:
Huh guess we are gonna be working together on the first day.
Kira:
I… I guess so heh.
(As the day continues night falls as Kira and Travis find a spot to sit and watch the stars).
Kira:
My first assignment today was amazing! I can't believe I took out my first purp.
Travis:
I am really impressed with your skills in the force. Where did you learn all this from?
Kira:
Well… I kinda learned them from my father. He was an officer in our home town.
Travis:
Wow. He must have been a really impressive officer of the law.
Kira:
One of the best. He taught me everything there is to being an officer. I hoped to one day follow in his footsteps to be a great police woman… that is… until he passed away.
Travis:
Oh my. What happened to him?
Kira:
It was while he was on an assignment. Taking down one of the most dangerous criminals in town.
(We cut to Kira's father as he chases down a criminal to a power plant. As he catches the purp a stray bullet from the purp's gun goes off hitting one of the wires and causing the whole plant to implode).
(We cut back to the present).
Kira:
He was taken to the hospital but… the doctors couldn't heal any of his injuries. My life was turned upside down after my father passed away.
Travis:
Kira… I… I am s… so sorry to hear that.
Kira:
After that I made a vow. To honor my father and his legacy… I would be the best officer of the force. And one day… catch the purp that killed my father… and put an end to his life!
(Travis is taken back by what Kira said as tappi appears and shivers).
Tappi-cat:
Yikes! She definitely has some baggage problems.
Travis:
I can tell. (She does seem to have a lot of hatred and anger towards the purp, but she is going about it the wrong way). Kira… being a great officer doesn't involve revenge.
Kira:
Huh?
Travis:
It's a path that one walks of honesty, hard work, and pure joy. Revenge is not something that an officer would take into this line of duty. It leads to nothing but pain and heartache. I understand how you feel about what happened to your father but…
Kira:
Well it's my path I walk! When that purp took my father's life it put a dark hole inside of my heart. A hole I had to get rid of!
Travis:
But Kira revenge will never solve anything.
Kira:
My father once told me that, but he might have been wrong. If revenge can help satisfy my hurt then it will. (Sits up) I just need some time to myself Travis. I thank you for this first assignment (walks off).
Travis:
Kira! (Groans).
Tappi-cat:
She really needs some anger management help.
(As Kira walk off Travis's eye of truth starts to glow as it shines on the blob next to Kira and reveals it to be a very tall woman with golden wings, gold armor, and a large sword on her back).
Travis:
Who… who is that?
Tappi-cat:
Saint Joan?
Travis:
Huh?
(Scene cut).
(The next day Travis heads into the office while Tappi appears).
Travis:
How did you know that monster tappi?
Tappi-cat:
Well… she was one of my oldest friends and comrades. We haven't really seen each other in a very long time. I have always wondered what had happen to her. And well now we know. And now we can recruit kira.
Travis:
No i… i am not sure about recruiting her yet.
Tappi-cat:
What? What are you talking about? Our job is to find members for the archound team. We need to recruit her.
Travis:
It's just… the thing she said yesterday.
(Flashback to yesterday).
Kira:

Travis:
That path is not the right way to go about. She is on a path of revenge and anger. If she continues down it.
(As Kira comes in, Travis makes his way over to her but bumps into Johnny).
Johnny:
Hey travis. We gotta talk.
Travis:
Oh sorry for bumping into you johnny.
Johnny:
Yeah right you are gonna be sorry. What is the big idea moving in on the new girl like that?
Travis:
What? What are you talking about?
Johnny:
Don't play dumb. Getting to chat it up with kira and being all lovey dovey with her when i had my chance.
Travis:
Huh? I didn't do any lovey dove… whatever to kira. We were just chatting about a few things.
Johnny:
Uh huh sure. I overheard she saying she was a big fan of your detective work. So you just had to show off didn't you travis, is that your game? I thought you and i were friends.
Travis:
Johnny of course we are friends. Look you don't understand i…
Kira:
(Comes up) hey what is going on? Something wrong with you 2?
Johnny:
(Groans) oh miss kira. Just hashing things out. Heh.
Kira:
Uh huh. Hey travis. Can we talk in private? I wanted to discuss some things.
Travis:
Oh yeah sure kira. How's about you and I take a walk so we can chat.
Kira:
Sure.
(Travis and Kira leave the office as Johnny stares gawking).
Officer 9:
Oof struck out again johnny. Guess you won't get a chance to tell her how you feel about her.
Johnny:
Still got a chance. Come on, we are gonna follow them.
Officer 9:
Follow them? But i gotta finish up this report for…
(Johnny drags the officer by the collar as they leave the office).
(We see kira and travis walking near the coran city harbor).
Tappi-cat:
Hey now is your chance.
Travis:
(Nods). Um kira. There is something i wanted to talk to you about yesterday…
Kira:
(Holds up her hand) before you say anything travis. I wanted to apologize.
Travis:
Apologize?
Kira:
For my behavior yesterday. I should have kept calm about the whole situation. I get very emotional when bringing up my past. I hope you can forgive me for snapping at you. But i hope you can understand that I will find the man that killed my father.
Travis:
I do accept your apology kira. But that isn't what i wanted to talk to you about.
Kira:
Then what did you want to talk about?
Travis:
(Sighs) this is gonna be really hard to explain. (Holds up his eye of truth) this necklace that you saw me wearing. It…. it gives me the ability to see… duel spirits?
Kira:
Huh? What are duel spirits?
Travis:
They are spirit versions of the duel monsters we use in the game. And well i saw some strange blob that was next to you thanks to the eye.
Kira:
A blob? Ew! You mean like a germ? That is gross!
Travis:
N… no not a germ kira! It's just….
Tappi-cat:
(Whispers to travis) hey the spell i gave you can be spread amongst duelists. Let her touch the eye).
Travis:
(Whispers) are you sure about that?
Kira:
Sure about what travis?
Travis:
Ugh. n… nothing. Listen Kira, I need you to do something. Touch this necklace okay?
Kira:
Um okay… I'm not sure where this is going but…
(As Kira touches the eye of truth it begins to glow and shoot out a flash of light hits them both).
(The light flash is seen by Johnny and the officer).
Officer 9:
You think that might be a flash bang? Maybe a gang war.
Johnny:
Might be. Come on!
(Back with travis and kira as the light flash fades kira opens her eyes and rubs them).
Kira:
What on earth was that?
?:
Well that was certainly strange.
Kira:
Yeah I know Travis, what was that?
Travis:
I didn't say that.
Kira:
Okay your starting to freak me out.
?:
Oh, behind you miss kira.
(As Kira turns around she sees a woman in golden armor with white wings tucked back and a long silver sword at his side).
?:
Very nice to finally meet you…
(Before the mysterious woman monster finishes her sentence kira falls to the ground fainting).
?:
Oh well… that was odd.
Tappi-cat:
Hey joan.
Saint joan:
Hello again tappi.
(A few minutes go by as travis pulls out some smelling salts from his pocket and breaks them to wake up kira).
Saint joan:
I did not expect that to happen.
Tappi-cat:
Yeah I have been told humans can do that sometimes when they see things they cannot believe. By the way, Joan, how come you didn't respond when I called out to you yesterday?
Saint joan:
Oh well to be honest when I heard your voice I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. When we last saw each other we were in the duel spirit realm training until we were separated by the storm that appeared. And then I ended up back in the human world where I met Miss kira. So tell me what has happened?
Tappi-cat:
A lot has happened
(As kira opens her eyes she shakes her head).
Kira;
I just had the weirdest dream. There were… duel monsters floating in front of me and…
Travis:
That wasn't a dream kira.
(KIra looks in front of her and sees the 2 duel spirits chatting).
Kira:
(Screams) wh.. What is happening?
Travis:
Let me explain…
Kira:
You. you did something to me didn't you? You slipped some kind of drug on me with that necklace of yours when I touched it didn't you? How could you do something like that travis?
Travis:
Kira, that isn't what is happening. If you let me explain…
Kira:
(Sits up and keeps away from travis) i thought i could trust you travis. I am gonna let the chief know of your trickery.
Travis:
Kira, please wait.
Kira:
No, stay away!
(Before kira can leave saint joan stands in front of her and stops her).
Saint joan:
Let's not do anything hasty miss kira.
Kira:
Stay back you hallucination you don't scare me!
(KIra goes to run through the spirit but stops as saint joan slaps her back with one of her wings knocking her to the ground).
Kira:
(Th.. that wing felt so real).
Saint joan:
(Picks kira up and brushes her off) sorry for that. But i needed to stop you.
Kira:
Stop me from what?
Travis:
From leaving and listening. Kira i didn't do anything to the eye. It was a spell from my duel spirit tappi-cat.
Tappi-cat:
(Pops up on travi's shoulder winking) hello. Should have mentioned it would of had that kind of adverse effect.
Kira:
A spell? Like magic? But there is no such thing as magic. What is going on here travis? And don't lie to me.
Saint joan:
He didn't lie kira. Tappi explained everything to me. You miss kira were chosen by a woman named celestia keep and protector of us duel spirits.
(We cut back to Johnny and the officer sneaking up behind some barrels as they spot Travis and Kira talking).
Officer 9:
Well no sign of the gang members but hey look. Isn't that travis with that girl you like?
Johnny:
(Growls) it is.
Officer 9:
What are they doing here at the harbor?
Johnny:
Obviously Travis planned to ask her to marry him here, the jerk!
Kira:
Okay so let me get this straight. Me and Travis are chosen to be a part of this elite team of duelists to help save the world from these… dark hounds before they not only destroy our world but the duel spirit world as well?
Saint joan:
Exactly.
Kira:
I… I don't know what to say about all this.
Travis:
Believe me Kira, I was like you at first. But I experienced my first dark hound battle just a few days ago. And it was no joke. This is all real. You have to trust me on this.
(Kira looks into travis's eyes and small smile comes across her face).
Kira:
You know when I look into your eyes i can tell… you are the kind of person that would like. You are an honest man, Travis truesdale.
Travis:
So then… will you join with me in this fight to save 2 worlds and rebuild this team of arc hounds? (Holds out his hand towards Kira).
Kira:
(Pushes travis's hand away) im sorry travis. This all sounds too crazy for me to handle. I appreciate the offer but… i can't. I have to go.
(Kira walks away as saint joan floats with her to follow her as she waves bye to tappi and travis).
Travis:
Kira wait!
Kira:
(Stops walking) huh?
Travis:
I wish…. I wish to challenge you to a duel!
Saint joan:
What?
Tappi-cat:
Say what?
Travis:
If you think you can back away so easily from a chance to prove your strength and save people then you are a coward.
Kira:
(Gasps) what did you say?
Travis:
You heard me. You are nothing but a coward if your walking away from something that is too much to handle. But if you wish to prove me wrong then why not duel me?
Kira:
Travis…
Tappi-cat:
(Whispers) travis bud what are you saying?
Travis:
(Whispers) this might be the only way to get her to join. Celestia said it herself to find the strongest duelists for this team. Plus i might be able to put her fears to rest and maybe set her on the right path with this duel.
Tappi-cat:
Ah okay. I see what your doing now. Well good luck.
Travis:
So what is it gonna be miss kira? Will you accept my challenge, or remain afraid?
(Saint Joan places her hand on Kira's shoulder and smiles at her).
Saint joan:
Miss Kira, should you accept his challenge?
Kira:
What?
Saint joan:
I can see into your soul and your heart. And there beats the purity of a true warrior inside.
Kira:
But i… I can't…
Saint joan:
I have listened to the 2 of you yesterday. I can tell you have the passion to save people. You just need to have the courage to do things you are afraid of. And this duel might help you conquer your fear.
(Kira hesitates for a bit but then changes from fear to anger and confidence as she walks back towards Travis).
Kira:
Alright travis. I accept! But let's make a condition here. If you win this duel then I will join this archound team to save the world. But if i win… then you never bother me or even come near me again with anything. You understand?
Travis:
(Smiles and nods) I do accept kira.
(Scene cut).
(We see as kira pulls out a dark brown duel disk as she adds her deck into it and travis does the same).
Officer 9:
What are they doing? Dueling?
Johnny :
Oh that sneak! He is panning on beating my kira in a duel to force her to marry him!
Officer 9:
You sure are making a lot of assumptions here johnny.
Johnny:
I'm filled with love!
Travis:
You ready kira?
Kira:
Yeah let's get this over with so you won't bother me anymore.
Travis:
Heh. whatever you say.
(The 2 activate their duel disks).
kira/travis:
Let's duel!

Turn 1.
Travis:
Since i challenged you kira. Please allow me to go first.
Kira:
Whatever, go right ahead.
Travis:
Alright very well i draw (draws a card and looks at his hand smiling). (Okay now that i got her attention and got her to duel me. Time to put my plan in action). To start my turn off i shall summon my beast spirit serpent mage in attack mode.

Travis:
Next up I will set 2 cards face down. And end my turn. Your up miss kira.
(2 Facedowns appear in front of Travis).
Turn 2.
Kira:
Beast spirit monsters huh?
Saint joan:
Do not underestimate them, miss kira. While they may look weak they are a force to be reckoned with.
Kira:
Oh trust me. I won't. (Travis shouldn't have ever challenged me. Not sure why he would say those things to me. When I could tell he would never lie to me. Oh well i will just have to get this duel over with). My turn, I draw! (Draws a card). To start off my turn I activate the spell card graceful charity. Which let's me draw 3 cards and then discard 2 from my hand (does so). Next I summon to the field my valkyrie knight shera in attack mode!
(We see from the sky a woman dressed in silver and blue armor fly down from the sky and land on the field pulling out a celestial sword from her side ready for battle).

Kira:
And now I activate shera's effect. Since she was normal summoned I can send a card from my hand to the graveyard (does so) and add 1 valkyrie knight monster and 1 spell card from deck to my hand.
(2 cards pop out of kira's deck as she adds them to her hand she smiles a bit).
Kira:
Next I activate the equip spell light spear to my shera.
(Shera's sword transforms into ah white spear with a gold tip).
Travis:
What does that do?
Kira:
This spell prevents any monster equipped to it from being destroyed in battle. Now mr. truesdale you wanted to fight back instead of being a coward. Well, you asked for it. Shera attack his serpent mage!
(Shera unsheathes her wings as she flys in to attack serpent mage).
Travis:
I reveal one of my facedown cards stance change!
(Shera stops her attack and kneels down in front of serpent mage).
Travis:
Thanks to this trap since you declared an attack. This trap switches all your monster into defense mode until the end of this turn.
(Kira smiles as shera's light spear begins to glow and it blasts travis in the chest forcing him back a bit).
Travis:7600
Tappi-cat:
You okay travis?
Travis:
What… what just happened. I stopped your monster's attack.
Kira:
True. but you just triggered the effect. Since you activated a card effect this equip spell deals you 400 points of damage once per turn.
Travis:
Heh not bad kira.
Kira;
Whatever. I'll set a card facedown and end my turn.
(A card appears in front of kira).
Turn 3.
Travis:
My turn then (draws a card). (Not a bad start for her. That equip spell is gonna be annoying to deal with. Sadly I don't have anything in my hand to stop it. So my best option right now is to just destroy that monster through battle. Plus it keeps my plan in motion but a little extra help would hurt either). I activate the spell card beast spirit call!. Thanks to this I can add 1 level 4 or lower beast spirit monster from my deck to my hand.
(A card pops out of Travis's deck and as that happens he gets hit again with another blast from light spear).

Travis:
Next I summon to the field beast spirit gorilla soldier in attack mode!

Travis:
Now it's time for me to go onto the offensive. Gorilla soldier attack her valkyrie knight shera!
(Gorilla soldier charges for shera).
Kira;
But this attack won't do much damage to me.
Travis:
True. but my gorilla has a unique effect. You see when he declares an attack and while I have another beast spirit monster on my field, it's attack increases by 500 until the end of the battle phase.

Kira:
Uh oh.
Travis:
Now gorilla soldier charge in with your giant fist!
Kira:
Not gonna happen. I play the trap card holy arrow bombardment!
(Just then a swarm of arrows drop down from the sky in front of gorilla soldier as he stops dead in his tracks and returns back to Travis's side).
Kira:
This trap is pretty much like the trap card you used. It negates your attack and switches your monster into defense mode. Not gonna let you get to my lifepoints so easily travis.
Travis:
(Heh. clever girl. She thinks very quickly in an attack situation that's for sure. But this duel is just getting started).
Kira:
(Phew, that was close. I thought my monster would have been a goner. Thanks to graceful charity that didn't happen).
Travis:
I'll end my turn by setting this card facedown. Your move kira.
Turn 4.
Kira:
(Draws a card). I summon to the field holy valkyrie knight samara.

Kira:
And now i overlay my 2 level 4 knights in order to build the overlay network.
Tappi-cat:
Oh here we go.
(Samara and shera turn into golden light orbs and enter the galactic vortex).
Kira:
The lights shines through the dark, hear the cry of the mighty captain of all valkyrie knights. I xyz summon… rank 4 holy valkyrie knight captain shura!
(The skies open and a large woman in gold and silver armor drops down to the ground hard and unsheathes her large gray wings).

Kira:

That is cause it's one of the new cards I got from a booster set a few days ago. By send1 a beast spirit monster from my hand to the graveyard and this card deals 700 damage to your lifepoints (does so).
(A set of claws come out of Travis's graveyard and slashes Kira across the chest).

Actually i was hoping you would do that.
Kira:

Which is why I had this in my graveyard. Beast spirit armory beetle!

Travis:
Thanks to this monster's effect I can target 2 spell or trap cards on the field and destroy them since you activate a card effect. And the 2 cards I choose are my equip spell and your protection armor.
Kira:
Why destroy your own equip spell?
Travis:
Cause now i can use my beetle's other effect to equip it from the graveyard to my armored rhino. Not only that but my beetle now increases my rhino's attack by 900.

(Phew, that was a close one. I could have gone for bigger damage but didn't want to deal too much damage. Plus it isn't a part of my plan for this duel). Well it is your turn kira.

(I don't know what he is planning but I am gonna find out). (Draws a card). I activate the spell card monster reborn to bring back my shera. But now I will release her to tribute summon my holy valkyrie knight guard!

So Travis, if you are not gonna give a great attack then guess I will show you how it is done. My knight will go ahead and attack your armored rhino.

Not after I play this. I activate my facedown the trap wing slash! Since one of my monsters declared an attack, I can send 1 card from my hand to the graveyard and target a monster you control and destroy it.
(A pair of golden wings come out of the card and slice armored rhino in half destroying it).
Kira:
And don't think I am done there. I now activate the effect of my knight guard. I send 1 valkyrie knight monster from my deck to the graveyard and switch the attack and defense points of every monster on the field.

Oh crap. He is gonna be taking 2000 points of damage straight on.

(Damn. he is stopping my attack again). Then I guess I will fortify my defenses with this move. I activate the effect of my holy valkyrie knight javelinier from my graveyard. By banishing it from my graveyard and paying 500 lifepoints i can draw 2 cards (does so).

(Phew she is tough ill give her that. But it's not pushing her to the limit tough. If i'm gonna get her to show what kind of strength she has then i am gonna have to push back even harder in this turn). (Draws a card). (And this combo just might do it. I now activate my leo's knight's ability. Since he was summoned from the deck. I can target a beast spirit monster on my side of the field and increase its attack by 700 until the end of this turn. And the monster I choose is my own leo knight.

Here I come Travis, I draw! I'll start this comeback by summoning my holy valkyrie knight luck angel in attack mode!

And it's time to put them to good use. Next up I activate the spell pot of grace. By paying 500 lifepoints i can draw 3 cards (does so).

She must have something big planned.
Kira:
Indeed I do travis. For my next move I activate the continuous spell cursed holy armor!
(Suddenly the ground breaks open as a large set of black and gray armor appears and suddenly becomes transparent and goes into the ground and forms around both duelists).

Kira:
Thanks to this spell card, as long as I control valkyrie knights on my side of the field none of my monsters can be destroyed in battle. So good luck getting around this combo.

Kira:
But i'm not done yet. I'll then set 2 cards facedown and then activate the effect of my holy valkyrie knight griamore from my graveyard. By sending 2 valkyrie monsters from my hand or deck to the graveyard i can special summon griamore from the grave.
(The ground erupts again as a pair of large hands pull from the ground up and a very large man in dark brown armor and black wings pop out from the ground as he growls and stares at travis).

Kira:
That is where griamore's other effect kicks in. Since he declared an attack I can banish a monster from my deck and increase his attack by 1000 until the end of the turn.
Travis:
Crap that is not good.
(Griamore growls even more as a dark red aura surrounds his body as he charges towards Travis's monster).

(Griamore pulls out some claw blades from his side and places them on his wrist as he slashes leo knight across the chest destroying him).

And there is more where that came from. For my main phase 2 i activate the spell card holy spear throw! By sending 1 card from my graveyard back into my deck this card deals you 1000 points of damage
(A golden spear shoots out of the card and hits travis directly taking him to his knees as he groans).

Travis:
(Groans as he gets back up chuckling) that was an impressive move there kira not bad at all.
Kira:
And i am just getting started travis. I gotta say despite some of the odd moves you made earlier. This duel has been getting exciting by the minute.

I have been thinking the same thing ha.
Saint joan:
(Just look at her. These 2 are like the same warrior duking it out just for the fun of it. How i do miss the old days of battling just for fun).
Tappi-cat:
Yeah this duel has been fun and all but you might want to think about protecting yourself from that monster of hers. I mean one more attack like that and your finished travis.
Travis:
Your right tappi, but at least my plan is working.

(He's still thinking of doing his plan? I sure hope he knows what he is doing).

Travis:
It's my turn now, here I come! (Draws a card). (Groans). (This is not the card I was hoping to draw. But it might buy me some time to think of something.). I summon to the field my beast spirit stone turtle.

Back to me then! (Draws a card and smiles). (Nice. i think it's time i kick this duel up a notch). I'll summon my holy valkyrie knight squire in attack mode.

(Squire transforms into gold synchro rings as they wrap around griamore and engulf him into a bright white light that blinds everyone).
Kira:
As the heavens part the clouds and the sky shines like the morning sun the holy saint of all valkyries descends to bring victory to her people. Unsheath your glorious wings and fly into battle! I synchro summon! Come forth, level 9… holy valkyrie knight saint joan!
(The light disappears and in its place Joan appears on the battlefield).

Your little kitty friend is right. But before we get this started i'll set this card facedown. Now saint joan show them what you are made off and take aim at travis's armor rhino!. And since she declares an attack her effect now activates. Her attack points now increase by 200 for each valkyrie knight in my hand and since I have 3 in my hand, she now gains 600 attack points!
Travis:
But wait what was the point of that? Even if she destroys my monster she won't be able to deal me any damage.
Kira:
That is where her other effect comes in. if she battles a monster that is in defense mode she can deal piercing damage. Joan attack! Celestia sword slash!
(Joan pulls out her large golder sword and charges towards armored rhino, slicing it in half as it explodes, pushing Travis back a few feet).

Okay so she has the strongest monster out there now. But you can still pull out a comeback and win this duel travis even with this strategy of yours.
Travis:
(Chuckles) that was an amazing play there kira. This duel really is getting more and more exciting by the minute.
Kira:
Same here travis. Now come on, show me what you got.

Travis:
Very well. I draw! (Draws a card and smiles). With this card here kira i will turn things around and finish this.

Saint joan:
Are you sure about that statement lady kira. What if he does have a card that can end this duel quickly.
Kira:
Just relax joan. Even if that card he drew is something that can help him end this. I still have one final trick up my sleeve.

If it is a beast spirit monster then my liger gains 1000 attack points until the end of this turn (draws a card and sighs) . Well unlucky for me i didn't get a beast spirit. But that doesn't matter. I now summon my beast spirit mecha gator in attack mode!

Oh yes. Now liger strike down valkyrie knight saint joan with your holy staff!
(Shogun liger pulls out his staff as it begins to glow and he whacks Joan in the face. At first nothing happens until her very soul is casted out of her body as her body begins to decay and her soul disappears her spirit returns to kira's side).

I did not expect an attack like that
Kira:
Yeah neither did i.
(The force of the attack hits kira in the chest).

My liger has many different powers at his command. But now since your wide open for an attack I will have my mecha gator attack you directly.
(Mecha gator slithers his way up to kira and swipes at her with his metal tail knocking her back a few feet).

Kira:
I draw! (Draws a card and smiles) Well, Joan looks like your gonna be back in the game and not a moment too soon. I activate the spell card heavenly rebirth! With this card I can special summon a monster from my graveyard as long as I send 1 card from my hand to the graveyard (does so) so that means welcome back joan!
(Joan smiles as her spirit fades and a light shines on the ground and she blasts through the ground landing on the field ready for battle).

Hope you are ready for round 2 mr truesdale.
Kira:
But there is more cause now i activate the effect of my holy valkyrie armor from my hand! Since i control a holy valkyrie knight i can equip this monster onto a knight i control and it gains 600 attack points

(Sweet with this boost I can take out any one of his monsters. I could go for his shogun liger but then again he might just have a way to bring it back and make it stronger. Travis:
(She is hesitating. In order for my plan to work she would want to destroy my weakest monster my gecko grappler that would win her the duel). Something wrong kira?
Kira:
No nothing just…. Just thinking. (What's the right call here?).
Saint joan:

This whole duel you have been fighting with your head and not your heart. That is why you hesitate on plays and strategy because you are not putting your heart into this battle. Travis:
I will show you. First I activate the spell card spiritual awakening! Since my lifepoints are less than 4000 i can use this card to special summon a level 5 or higher beast spirit monster from my deck or hand as long as i send 1 card from my hand or deck to the graveyard (does so) and with that i will bring out my 2nd leo knight! But I'm afraid he won't be on the field for long. Cause next I play the spell double summon which let's me summon normal summon a 2nd time this turn. So now I tribute my leo knight and my gecko grappler in order to bring out my beast spirit warlord panda!

That's right, a hand trap card. Picked this little beauty up in one of the packs I got. Thanks to this trap, since I declared an attack with one of my beast spirit monsters I can use this trap to target said monster and increase its attack by 1500 until the end of the battle phase!
(As warlord panda charges towards saint joan she prepares to block the attack as kira hangs her head… until we see a smile run across her face).
Kira:
Don't count this duel over yet travis!

I still have a lot of fight left in me. And i'll show you by activate the trap ring of life!
Travis:
(Gasps).
Kira:

Alright I will! (Draws a card) I now summon to the filed my holy valkyrie mage!

I know she doesn't look like much but she packs a very powerful effect. By banished 2 spell and trap cards from my graveyard i can target a monster you control and it's attacks points decreased to 0 permanently.
Travis:

(Kira's mage waves her hands around and uses her magic on warlord panda, weakening him).
Kira:
So it looks like this duel will end… for you travis. Now saint joan let's end this duel off with a bang. Attack Travis's warlord panda and finish this duel!
Saint joan:
With pleasure. (Flies up into the air charging towards warlord panda) you have fought valiantly Mr truesdale and for that you have gained my respect. But this battle must end here and now. Feel the force of the valkyrie knights!
(Saint Joan slashes warlord panda up destroying him. The force of the attack sends Travis flying into the air and back onto the ground hard as he lays there not moving).
Kira:
Travis! (Runs over to him).
(As Travis's lifepoints reach 0 everything disappears except for saint joan who follows kira as she returns to her spiritual form).
Kira:
Travis. Are you okay?
Saint joan:
Was my attack too hard?
(Just then we see Travis moving and smiling as he gets up and chuckles).
Travis:
That was a spectacular finish! (Laughs) you truly are an amazing duelist kira.
Kira:

Travis:
(Gets up) well i believe the agreement was that if you won the duel i would never bother you again. And i will honor that agreement. Have a nice night kira (begins to walk away).
(Kira shocked from this stands her ground and holds her hands to her side balled up).

(Stops and turns) yeah?

Oh heh. Hey travis hey kira. Did not expect to find you guys here (chuckles).
Travis:
Johnny what are you doing here?
Johnny:
Oh heh you know just making the rounds for possible crime. It's not like i'm spying on you with my future wife or anything (Laughs).
Officer 9:
(Gets up) but that is exactly why we are here.
Travis:
Officer brad?
Officer brad:
Hey Travis and kira. We saw the whole duel from here you both were really putting on a duel there it was ama…
(Before Brad could finish his sentence Johnny hits him in the back of his head and strangles him).
Johnny:
What the hell brad? You can't just tell them…
Kira
(Sighs) Travis, let's finish this conversation later, okay? I need to handle this real quick.
Travis:
Oh uh sure thing.
(Kira smiles as she walks towards johnny and brad).
Kira:
Hey johnny…
Johnny:
Oop yes kira?
(We see kira's eyes turn red as she cracks her knuckles up).
Kira:
What was that you were shouting about you cannot have her?
(Johnny is scared as off screen we hear kira beating the everloving shit out of johnny with travis,, tappi, and joan watching).
Travis:
Hey tappi. Remind me to never get on her bad side okay?
Tappi-cat:
Noted travis.
Saint joan:
Mr. truesdale. You never truly planned to defeat miss kira in the duel did you?
Travis:
Huh?
Saint joan:
You clearly planned to let her win didn't you?
Travis:
(Sighs) yeah you caught me.
Tappi-cat:
What? You didn't plan to win?
Travis:
At first no. What I wanted to do was put Kira back on the right path. Not the path of revenge. And then when I saw her strength the plan sorta changed and I tried my best. But it seems like I still have a lot of skills that need to be learned.
Saint joan:
Ha. not from what i saw.
Travis:
What do you mean joan?
Saint joan:
I mean that your dueling skills are quite impressive. True you may need to hone your skills a bit more but you are quite the warrior to reckon with. But I want to thank you for letting kira win. She needed the confidence boost.
Travis:
Well your welcome. I'm glad we can have you both on the team.
Saint joan:
I will be honored to fight alongside you and tappi to stop these darkhounds from destroying both our worlds.
Tappi-cat:
Travis next time warn me when you plan on not winning a duel. But.. It was a great set of plays and a great plan.

(We fade out hearing Johnny screaming sorry to kira as she continues to punch and kick him).
