Author's Note:

Hello everyone. Yeah I am back at it with this again. And yes, I am that bored with my time at the moment.

So, with work calming down and collage over with, I have more free time on hand now. But, I am going to lay down some ground rules with everyone so you all know how things are going to go moving forward.

The Rules:

#1. All chapters moving forward must have a minimum of 5k words attached to them. This means more time to write out the chapters themselves and longer to get them published.

#2. I am ONLY going to use SOME of the concepts that Volumes 6-9 gave us in this fanfic. Other than that, everything beyond here is going to be taking cues from actual good concepts from other forms of media.

And #3: I am going to try to make a set plan for this story. Last time I started this, there was no solid plan. Just flying by the seat of my pants back then. Which was a BAD idea. I know that now. So plan from here on out. Come hell or high water.

Two more things before you see the first chapter. This chapter WILL seem familiar to those who have read my previous attempt on this, but it has been edited to fit the new approach to the story. So please do read it, and you'll see the differences.

Also lastly, please leave reviews on my chapters. I NEED to know what to keep in the story, what should be cut out, that kind of stuff. Heck, feel free to leave your own ideas in the Reviews too. I always read them. And I'll try to incorporate what I can.

But, enough chatting, onto the story. Enjoy.

Grimm Heir Volume 2

Chapter 1: Escaping Vale

Her eyes fluttered open slowly.

There to greet her was a pale ceiling of dull blue. And the sound of something tapping on glass reached her ears. After a few more times of opening and closing her eyes, she turned her head to the source of the sound.

Yang found a cracked window with raindrops sliding down and hitting the glass as it fell from the heavens above. Gray clouds covered the sky. By her best guess by the way it looked outside, it was mid-day on a rainy day.

Yang tried sitting up, but a throbbing pain on the right side of her ribcage quickly stopped her. Thinking quickly, she channeled her Aura to numb the pain and try to heal the damage she sustained. Her mind was hazy at first, but then it all came back to her in a flash of pain in her head.

Her fight against the damned Monster, the damage she got from it, and finally her sister protecting her at the last second.

Moving her right arm to hold her left, she narrowed her eyes in frustration. She was the one who was meant to save her sister from that Monster, not the other way around.

Did Ruby make some kind of deal with the Monster? Did she promise to return to it without a fight if it spared her sister?

She sighed out her frustration. Not like she could do anything about it now…

But Gods above, it hurt her heart knowing she failed... again. Failed to keep her baby sister safe for a second time. Twice now, she had failed to keep her sister away from that Monster! She hates herself for it!

But before she could give herself a bigger mental whipping, the cold feeling she was having brought her back to the here and now. She was freezing!

And a quick look at herself told why as well.

With the blanket that was covering her fallen away, she could see that all her had on her right now were bandages. They covered her bust, her left arm, and her forehead.

Looking underneath the blanket, she also saw she only had her underwear on at the moment. Someone must have stripped her to check for injuries. While she was glad someone found her, a light blush came to her face at the thought of them seeing her twins without a bra.

With her Aura now fully kicked in, she no longer felt like she needed her bandages and thus began to remove them all. She stood up from the bed and quickly got to work removing the cloth wrappings around her head, arm, and bust. It took her about two minutes to get rid of them. During that time, she took in her current state of being.

Her left arm got the most abuse from that fight. And while the cuts on her arm have fully healed thanks to her Aura and the bandages, she could already tell that there will be some noticeable scars.

Oh well. Better than having to lose the whole arm or something similar. Besides, it was the scars you couldn't see that hurt leagues more.

That just left one last question for her. Where was her savior?

Bark! Bark!

Yang's head snapped over to the sound quickly, only to find a familiar little black and white corgi wagging his stumpy tail at her. A happy smile upon his canine face.

"Zwei?" she asked, completely shocked to see the dog here.

She was about to walk over to the dog, when the sound of running feet came from the door to the room. Within seconds, the door bursts open to reveal another familiar face. There stood Rojo Toro, with concern on her face and his combat knife in hand in case something was wrong.

Within seconds, even as it seemed like time slowed to a crawl, both faces of Yang Xaio Long and Rojo Toro slowly became beat red in embarrassment. But just before a shrill scream of said embarrassment could escape the blonde's mouth, a strong hand suddenly covered her lips and silenced the scream off in an instant.

Yang's eyes popped open to see Rojo literally in front of her. To her shock, the sharpshooter was also wrapping his arm around her waist, pulling her extra close. Then, before she could fully react, Rojo pushed the blonde until they were both against the wall of the room near the window. The whole time, Yang's eyes were wide in shock and her face was flush red with embarrassment.

That was the case, until she noticed Rojo's face. While it was slightly red, his eyes were not focused on her. They were looking out the window next to the two of them. It was here that Rojo put a finger to his lips while glancing at Yang.

Quickly putting two and two together, Yang nodded her head, understanding that she needed to stay quiet. Trying to ignore the fact that her exposed breasts were pressed against the gunslinger, Yang remained silent, waiting for Rojo to release his hold on her.

After a full minute that felt like an hour, Rojo sighed and let go of the blonde while backing away from her.

He gave her a 'I'm sorry' look before he started whispering, "If you are going to kick my ass for what I just did, do it later please. We gotta get out of here first." he said.

She nodded, but had to ask the question, "How bad is it outside?" she whispered back.

Rojo said nothing at first, just shook his head as his face started to turn more red. As he spoke, he placed a hand over his face, trying to cover his eyes in a semi-face palm.

"First, please put some clothes on." the marksmen said quietly.

Remembering she was basically naked, Yang quickly covered her boobs with her arms. Her own face was red as ketchup, but she had a small smile on her face. She glanced back at Rojo and saw that he had brought in two suitcases. He set them on the bed before turning his back to her again to give the girl some privacy.

"These are some clothes I found around the hotel," he said while trying to not make a loud noise, "I'm not sure if any of them fit you, but… it's better then nothing, right? Just take your pick."

Yang's smile grew slightly as she walked over to Rojo.

Then, without a second thought, she wrapped her arms around his chest and hugged him, no longer caring if her twins were touching him or not. He went stiff for a moment, but after about ten seconds, the young man relaxed and placed one of his hands over Yang's.

"That's twice you saved me now…" she said quietly, "Back at Mountain Glenn, and now here… thank you..."

They stood there like that for about a minute before Rojo stepped away and turned to face Yang. Then, he wrapped his own arms around her, pulling her into a hug of his own. They held each other for a time, neither speaking a word, yet somehow at the same time, saying all the things that needed to be said at the moment. Yang knew that Rojo was trying to apologize for the things he said to her and what he almost did to her back when she finally held Ruby for the first time.

And Yang was trying to apologize to him for abandoning her team in favor of going after her sister and the monster. That was not a smart move on her part, and she knew full well she was in for an ear-full of lectures from Weiss and a cold shoulder from Blake for a while. Maybe even a lecture from Rojo when they got out of there too. But for now, she believes this was more than enough to say: 'I'm sorry.' in a unique way.

It wasn't until a loud, but thankfully far off roar from the outside brought them back to the present.

Rojo let go and walked over to the window to look outside and check on the situation. Taking the chance, Yang got started going through the clothes Rojo provided to her. She quickly found some clothes that fit her and most importantly… found a bra her size.

She slipped it on, covering up her twins finally.

Now, despite how she liked to act, a tomboy of sorts, she had never let anyone ever see that much of her skin before in her life. Making Rojo Toro the first guy to see her boobs, ever. And oddly, she was okay with it.

She shook her head. 'Not the time for that!' she told herself mentally.

She took a pair of tight black pants and slipped them on. She then pulled a dark-orange tank top over her head and pulled it down. She then found a pair of brown boots and put them on, while throwing on a brown and tan rain jacket and a pair of brown fingerless gloves. To complete the look, she found a purple cloth and tied it around one of her legs to add some personal flair.

Now fully clothed, she turned back to her remaining gauntlet of her Ember Celica set over on a nightstand. She grabbed it and slid it over her wrist and activated it. When it took its combat form, she cocked it back once to check it over. Now she was ready. But, with one of her beloved gauntlets now gone (reduced to a crumpled-up ball of metal) she'll be on the defensive mostly.

At least she still had ammo for her weapon still.

She turned back to the marksman, who was still watching out the window.

Yang walked over to Rojo and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned to her and she nodded her head.

"I'm ready." she whispered, "What's the plan?"

Rojo glanced back to the outside as he spoke, "First, we need to get to your bike and drive. Then, we have to make one more stop before leaving Vale." he explained as quietly as possible.

When Yang raised a brow at his plan, he explained.

"I am out of ammo, aside from a single grenade." he growled out, "We have to make a pitstop at the nearest weapon shop and borrow supplies if there are any."

"And if there isn't?" she asked worryingly.

Rojo sighed, "Then I am screwed." he said bluntly.

Looking out the window, Yang managed to take in the area around the hotel. And recognition clicked with her. Now that she could see in the cloudy day light, she knew this area!

"I know where a weapon shop is around here," she told her leader, who looked at her with a shocked expression, "it's just a few blocks down the street, north from here."

Rojo's shock was replaced with a grin on his face, "Alright, you lead, I'll follow you."

Yang smiled back at him, then grew a cheeky grin of her own, "Got it, but you carry Zwei."

"Deal."

~o0o~

About ten minutes had passed since the trio had made it back to Yang's motorcycle, Bumblebee. Yang was driving at maximum speed, trying to avoid the ruined cars and upturned street roads. While at the same time, trying her best not to rev the Dust engine too high. Any louder and the Grimm would be able to home in on them in no time.

Although, that didn't really seem to matter too much as the Grimm seemed more interested in ripping each other to pieces.

The whole time they drove through the empty, broken streets of Vale, Grimm of all sizes were going at it with one another. Ursa, Beowolves, Nevermores, Death Stalkers, all of them were preoccupied with murdering each other and hardly if at all paying the two teens any mind.

Not saying that there weren't a few who did turn their attention to them, but they were so few and far between, Yang didn't have much trouble using her remaining gauntlet to blast them to pieces.

After about another two minutes, they finally reached their destination.

Yang brought her bike to a skidding halt right in front of the weapon shop she had told him about. Rojo glanced up at the crooked and damaged sign which stated the shop's name.

'The Powder Keg'

"Well," Yang said, looking at the broken windows, "I don't think we'll find much after all… it looks pretty much raided already."

Rojo had to nod his head in agreement with the blonde.

Even from where he had got off the bike from, he could already tell that the gun displays were broken into. A lot of them were empty of weapons. However, a shop this big should have a weapon vault of some kind. And Rojo could still see some Dust ammunition inside the store on the floor. And that is exactly what he needed at the moment.

"We'll have to make sure." he said to his friend.

Yang turned to him and nodded before turning her head downward to the little black and white corgi at her feet.

"Zwei," she told the dog, "If you see any Grimm coming our way, start barking, okay?"

After getting a single bark of confirmation from the canine, Rojo and Yang entered the store carefully through the broken glass window.

Inside was a mess. To make matters worse, there were a few blood stains on the floor, indicating signs of a fight. The marksman kept his hand of his combat knife holstered on his back waist, ready for something to jump out at him. He slowly approached the end of the counter… and stopped dead in his tracks.

Even from where he stood, he saw the foot of the possible shop owner, dead. He didn't need to check any further than that. The large pool of cold blood was all the evidence he needed to know for sure.

Rojo turned his head the other way and, despite knowing that there was a body inside the store, his heart started to fill with hope, if a bit of dread to go with it on the side. There stood an untouched four-foot by three-foot ammo-locker, with a bloody handprint on the door, and a blood-stained key in the lock.

Acting on a hunch that the owner couldn't open his locker in time to save himself, Rojo swallowed a lump in his throat and turned to Yang, who was looking around the store for any other signs of weapons to use.

"Yang, can you do me a favor?" he asked, getting her attention, "Gather up all the ammo on the floor, please. We need as much as we can get right now."

With a nod, Yang got to work.

With the blonde working on gathering ammo, Rojo turned back to the locker. He walked over to it and crouched down to its level. He reached up to the key and turned it slowly, hearing it click. Now unlocked, the marksman grabs ahold of the handle and opens the metal door up.

Inside was something that made the gunman stare in awe.

On the top shelf of the inside was a large pistol, a revolver to be exact. The black grip and dark gray steel of the chamber and gun barrel shing in what little light there was. Next to the gun were three small boxes of unused Dust rounds that he had to guess had to be for the revolver. On the bottom of the locker was a mixture of different types of Dust rounds, from AP to HE rounds.

Reaching inside, Rojo pulled out the revolver and looked it over. Now getting a better look at it, he could now tell what type of gun it was. It was a fifty caliber, Five-Hundred Bone Crusher. A five-chamber revolver that was capable of blowing a Beowolf's head clean off in a single shot. Only a handful of these weapons were made before they stopped production of them nearly ten years ago. They were collectables across Remnant.

Even more rare was the custom-made muzzle flash on the end of the barrel. This thing was a rare find.

Taking a moment, Rojo glanced back at the body to his back. It was a man in his mid-thirties. But it was hard to tell, his head and chest were half eaten. Ribcage totally exposed and there was no eyeball in the left socket. But his whole attire screamed gunsmith and shop owner all rolled into one. It left Rojo with a bad test in his mouth to simply take something from the dead like this.

But he knew that if he didn't take it now, he'd die later down the road. At least it'll increase his chances of survival if he has it.

So, after a moment's pause, Rojo nodded to the body and sent his mental apology to the shop keeper for taking something of his.

The marksman turned back to the locker and took out the three boxes and placed them in front of him. He opened one box and loaded five rounds of armor piercing Dust shells into the revolver. Giving it the once over, he spun the revolver's chamber before clicking it closed. Once finished, he grabbed the remaining boxes and stood up.

Looking back at Yang, he found that she had a medium sized bag filled with ammunition and was holding it over her shoulder. With a sigh, she turned to him and nodded, before noticing the large revolver in his hand.

"Damn, cowboy," she said, clearly impressed, "what is that?"

Rojo smiled at her reaction, "This is a Five-Hundred Bone Crusher." he explained, holding the gun up to show the blonde, turning it one way and the other.

Yang gave a long whistle, before stopping and giving him a questionable look, "Gonna name it?" she asked.

The gunman paused for a moment at the question as he glanced at the weapon. After a moment of thinking, a name came to mind that made sense given the situation they were in.

"Well," she stated, "I was thinking something kinda like... Lawmaker."

Yang thought about the name for a moment before nodding at it, "Yeah, that sounds good." she said, smiling at her friend.

BARK! BARK! BARK!

Both tensed up and quickly spun around to look back outside at Zwei, who was barking at the sky. Rojo and Yang ran back outside and followed Zwei's gaze. At first, neither of them saw anything, but they did hear something in the distance.

Vur-vur!

The sound was far off and neither of them could see the source of the noise, but Rojo knew immediately what it was. And it made his blood run cold at the thought of running into it out here.

"Okay…" he said, getting Yang's attention, "We gotta go!"

"What? What is it?" she asked, not following what was happening.

Rojo snapped his head back at her, "Just trust me, Yang!"

Sensing his urgency to leave, the blonde went with her gut and both rushed to get onto the bike. The second Zwei was placed in Rojo's lap, the vehicle took off and Rojo was almost thrown off by the sudden momentum.

But he stayed on (thank god), pulled his rifle and aimed down the sight while pointing it behind him.

This turned out to be a wise move on his part, for there to greet him was a large black shape bearing down on the two teens. He pulled the trigger.

Bang~! Bang, bang~!

"Get down!" Rojo yelled as he pushed head head forward, trying to make them a smaller target to hit.

It worked.

The diving attack just barely misses the two of them, as the airborne Grimm's long boney white lance just grazed the two. But it missed and Yang kept on driving north to the ruined walls of Vale's North-West gates.

While Rojo kept firing at the Grimm as it banked to the left to come back around for another attack run.

The beast looked almost exactly like the textbook stated. A large, fifty-foot wingspan with four jet-like pods. Two on each side. And a long bone-white lance that could impale a person with ease. Although it has no eyes, it dose not need them. Instead, it uses sound to hunt down its prey. At top speed, it could cruise at five-hundred miles per hour. Making one of the fastest Grimm on record thus far.

It more than lives up to its terrifying name.

"What the hell is that?!" Yang called back, snapping Rojo out of his analysis of the Grimm.

"Death Skewer! Newly discovered Grimm!" he responded, not taking his eyes off the beast.

Just as he finished reloading, he raised Red Redemption up to the Grimm, Yang called back again.

"Rojo!" she yelled.

The marksmen snapped his head forward to see what was up. Only for a maw of fangs to greet him. But thanks to Yang quickly maneuvering her bike to the left, Rojo avoided becoming a Beowolf's chew toy.

"Get us the hell out of here! Now!" he yelled as he opened fire at the Beowolf who tried to chase after them.

"Got it!" he heard her respond.

Rojo glanced back at the Death Skewer that was now diving at them. But Rojo was ready for the beast this time.

An idea had hatched inside his mind as he grabbed more rounds to load his weapon with. It was crazy, but if he pulled it off, it would take out the Death Skewer in one shot.

As the Skewer started increasing its speed to impale the two teens, Rojo grabbed hold of his last remaining grenade, pulled the pin with his teeth, and threw it at the Grimm. He knew it wouldn't go off in time to kill the beast. That is unless he gave it some sort of aid to explode sooner.

He quickly loads an incendiary round into Red Redemption, points it at the grenade as it starts its fall to the ground from Rojo's throw. Time seemed to slow to a crawl as he took aim at the grenade as it was just three feet away from the Death Skewer.

He squeezed the trigger and the incendiary round came flying from the barrel, soared through the air with a reddish glow, and impacted the shell of the grenade. All within a matter of a second.

KRA-KOOM!

The blast of fire and the force of the shockwave threw the Skewer off course and it was sent crashing into a wall of a building to the right side of Yang's bike. The building crumbled and dust clouds kicked up from the impact.

But Yang kept her bike forward and, by some miracle, the two teens made it through the debris.

"Nice shot, cowboy!" the blonde shouted while Rojo spat out the pin still in his mouth.

Rojo nodded at his handy work, but he didn't relax yet. If what he read about the Death Skewer was true, where there was one, there were usually two more. A noise from above soon confirmed what he read in the books.

Vur-vur!

The sound made him look back in time to see two more Skewers flying side by side before one of them makes a dive at the teens. Rojo shouted at Yang and he felt the bike make a lurch to the right. Just in time too. For the second her bike maneuvered to the right, the bone white lance went wheezing past them. Rojo turned back to the last Skewer and locked on with Red Redemption. As the Grimm dove at them, Rojo unloaded his weapons remaining shells on it.

He was aiming for the exact same spot with each shot. Right in the middle of its armored head.

The first shot dented its armor, the second shot cracked it open like an egg shell. The third and final shot went clean through its body and out the other side. The Grimm, despite going limp, still traveled on its path towards them in a falling manner. Its bone lancer was still dangerous and capable of killing them if it hit the mark.

Rojo singles Yang to move to any side with a pat on her shoulder and the bike lurches to the left.

The Dead Grimm crashed into a nearby store where the building caved in and crumbled in on itself, kicking up dust clouds and spitting out bricks in the process. But Yang kept her cool and weaved around the debris like a professional stunt driver.

As they exited the dust cloud kicked up by the falling building, they finally spotted the northern gate, but there was a problem.

Yang quickly pointed out the issue, "The gate's still closed!" she shouted.

Rojo's mind quickly raced to find a solution to their problem. If they stopped for even a moment, they were dead. The Grimm would overwhelm them in seconds. They had to get through the gate and they had to get through it now.

That was when an idea hatched in his head. For just a moment, his memory went back to when they were at Mountain Gleen. When he first unlocked his Semblance. And how large of an explosion he caused when he threw that rock at the serpent like Grimm constraining Yang.

Then it clicked.

He snapped his head down to one of his high-explosive rounds for Red Redemption. He grabbed and started channeling his Aura into the round. He then loads the HE round into the rifle, aimed it at the gate, and pulled the trigger.

BOOM~!

The Aura infused HE-round was more than enough to blow the gate wide open.

With the way now clear, Rojo shouted, "Go, go, go!"

Yang pushed the Dust engine as far as it could go while Rojo dared to glance back at the Grimm chasing them. This proved to be both a smart and dumb idea rolled into one. While he did manage to get a rough idea of the numbers of Grimm gunning for the two of them, he didn't expect that many chasing the two teens. If he didn't do something now, the Grimm were going to keep chasing the two of them for a long time.

Luckily, Rojo had one more HE-round left and a little Aura left to infuse it with. Loading the round into his rifle after pouring the last remnants of his Aura into it, he waited.

Just as the motorcycle passed the now destroyed gate doors that connected to a tunnel which led to the outside world, Rojo pointed Red Redemption at the over archway that the gate doors were attracted to, and pulled the trigger.

The resulting explosion caused the archway to crumble and collapse onto the horde of monsters chasing them.

The two teens made their way down the tunnel and, eventually, the light at the end of the tunnel gave way to reveal the outside of the walls of their former Kingdom.

Yang brought her bike to a stop after a little more driving and let out a sigh of relief, which Rojo shared quickly after her.

"We made it out…" she said simply.

Rojo nodded, not trusting his words at the moment.

"So…?" the blonde asked, "What do we do now?"

Rojo looked around, taking in every tree as he started talking, "To be honest Yang, I don't have a clue. But I do know that we can not stay here. We may have escaped the Grimm at the moment, but we are now officially inside their domain now. There could be a Grimm behind any one of these trees."

He glanced at her with serious eyes, "So, for now, we-"

Suddenly, catching both teens off guard, Rojo's scroll started to ring. He looked at his pocket before pulling out his scroll to look at the screen.

To his surprise, it was Jaune of all people.

The marksman quickly answered the call.

"Jaune?"

"Rojo?! Oh, thank the Gods! You're okay!" he heard the knight say in gratitude.

Rojo smiled and laughed, "Nice to hear you too, Jaune."

"You too, man… hey, uh… I heard from the last airship that made it out of Vale that you-."

"Yeah, I did. I went back and found Yang. We are now both out of Vale." he answered Jaune's unfinished question, guessing his next question as well.

On que, "Hey, vomit boy!" Yang chimed in a chipper voice.

He heard Jaune sigh in relief, "Oh thank you! We were all so worried…" he said, but his voice was not as enthusiastic anymore, which Rojo caught.

"Jaune." Rojo said in a serious voice, "What happened? How screwed is the situation at Patch?"

Yang fell quiet at that sentence and waited for Jaune to speak.

Rojo's question was rhetorical, he already knew the situation was messed up as it stands. He just wanted details on the situation and if Weiss and Blake made it to Patch.

After an exhausted sigh, Jaune spoke, "Rojo, it's bad. While we made it to the island of Patch, according to the teachers, only about 65% of the transports made it out of Vale." Rojo clenched the device in frustration as Jaune continued on, "The Red Wolves now have full control of Beacon Tower, Grimm are crawling around every street in Vale, and to top it all off, Ozpin has gone missing."

"Great…" Yang mutters, no donut putting two and two together, much like Rojo was.

But, just to confirm what he already had a hunch on, Rojo then asked, "So in other words, shit has hit the fan?" his tone of voice, sarcastic.

"Bassically, yes." was all Jaune needed to say.

'Shit…' was the only thing that came to Rojo's mind at that moment. As he processed what had happened while he and Yang were hiding in the abandoned Kingdom, he first pondered about the Red Wolves owning the Tower of Beacon.

Tactically, it made sense.

The CCT System was the linchpin for long range communication. Without the four towers of Remnant, everyone would be plunged back into the old days of long range communications, typically via handwritten letters or messengers.

So when the Cross Continental Transmit System was built after the Great War, it was free communications across the world without the worry of the Grimm interfering with your message reaching your intended target. That, as well as monitor as many communications across Remnant to make sure no other Kingdom could try and start another war.

One of the many things Rojo learned when he was kid and took it for granted.

What all this meant now was that the enemy now could monitor communications (maybe even this one) and intercept moves before they're even made.

He chooses not to wonder about the people who didn't make it out of Vale. He already saw what happened to them. Evident by the body he saw at the raided Dust shop.

He wanted to worry about Headmaster Ozpin, but Rojo had something else he needed to make sure of.

"Jaune, please tell me that Weiss and Blake made it to Patch…" he said.

There was an eerie and long pause before Jaune spoke again. That made both Rojo and Yang grow worried with fear. But when Jaune spoke again, it only confused the two teens.

"Well… yes and no." is what the blonde knight told them.

"Huh?"

"What?" Rojo quickly followed up on Yang's confusion, "Jaune, you're not making any sense."

"While I can assure you both that they did make it to Patch… they are no longer here at Patch at all." Jaune explained, "Weiss and Blake are both gone."

"What?!" Yang yelled.

Rojo couldn't believe it yet, he had to make sure, "Jaune… what do you mean they're 'Gone'?"

Jaune stuttered and continued at the words Rojo said, "N-No, no, no! They're not dead, or anything like that!" he explained, "I'm telling you that they are literally not here at Patch anymore!"

There was a long pause between Rojo and Yang before Jaune continued, "W-Weiss was taken back to Atlas by her father… by force I might add. He thinks it'll be safer in Atlas than out here."

In the split second when her heard it, Rojo Toro almost dropped his scroll at the shocking news.

Weiss's father took her back to Atlas? He thinks it's safer there?

"A-and Blake?" Yang asked in a hesitant voice, getting Rojo's attention.

Jaune sighed before saying, "Blake… she ran away… we don't have a clue where she went off too. Sun saw her off, but that's all we know."

Rojo closed his eyes at that piece of news.

As much as he hated to admit it, he too would have done something similar. That feeling he felt last night? For a split second, he shuddered at the thought of feeling it again. He was so scared for a moment that he didn't know what to do but grip his weapon.

So he was honestly not at all surprised that Blake ran off on them.

Which left what to do next all the more obvious to the marksmen.

Resolve filled his heart as Rojo started talking to Jaune again.

"Jaune, listen to me," he said in a stern voice, "I need you to do something for me. And after that, stay off the scrolls until I contact you. We are officially going radio silent for now." he told the knight.

Jaune, surprisingly, responded with his own serious tone of voice, "Roger that. What do you need?" he asked.

"I need you to give me Sun's contact info, I have to ask him for a favor. And remember Jaune, only use your scrolls if you absolutely have too. We can't give out too much information right now." Rojo said.

"Understood. Just be sure to give updates every now and then, please." Jaune said, "Me and my team will stay here at Patch to make sure it stays Grimm free and to protect the civilians."

"Got it." Rojo said before a few more personal thoughts crossed his mind, "And Jaune?"

"Yeah?"

Rojo paused before speaking, "Two more things: Please tell my Papi that I will send him updates also as soon as I can. And tell Professor Branwen I said that he was right. It is harder losing a second family…" he paused before continuing, "But I intend to fix what I destroyed."

"... You got it man." Jaune said after a moment of silence.

"Thanks, Jaune. Over and out." Rojo finally said before hanging up his scroll and putting it back in pocket.

Yang finally spoke up after the conversation between the two boys ended, "Wow… you guys are really taking this in stride."

Rojo looked at her, "Don't get the wrong idea, Yang. I'm just trying to keep us focused on other things so we don't lose our minds over how fucked things are at the moment." he explained.

Yang looked at him surprised for a moment before smiling softly, "Yeah… you're right." she said before rolling her neck and shoulders, "Okay Rojo, what's the game plan for us?" she asked.

"We are going to save our stolen Princess." he said simply.

Yang's grin grew all the bigger, "Gotcha." she replied.

With that, the pair of teens with canine in toe started heading north.

It's very good, trust me when I say that. And for those who are wondering, I will say this.

Yes: A few of the things I did in the last chapter of the Original 'Grimm Heir' will be reckoned when they are brought up, but NOT everything either. Some things will stay as they were portrayed in the original story.

For those who support or those who are watching this second attempt of mine, thank you very much for reading.

Have a good day, see you next time. Peace!
