The Ninth Maken!

Ch01: Opening Match

The world around him was shrouded in darkness. He couldn't see or feel anything, couldn't even move for that matter. There was nothing. The dread started to fill him, as soon, quiet voices filled the void.

"The suppressor has been administered."

"Specimen is prepped."

"Beginning examination."

A blinding light suddenly turned on from above revealing multiple individuals surrounding him, all dressed in medical robes and masks.

"Preparing to make the first incision."

The first of them moved towards him with a medical scalpel in hand.

Pain flooded through him as the blade dug into his midsection. Everything felt like it was on fire.

'NO! Stop! Just stop! Stop it! JUST STOP IT!'

Blue eyes flew open as he shot up into a sitting position, covered in sweat. The bed covers had been thrown to the floor. His breath came out in loud gasps as the persisting burning feeling in his stomach slowly rose up to the back of his throat.

A hand flew to his mouth as he raced out the room and ran down the corridor.

A few minutes latter a bandaged right arm wiped off the mirror hanging above the bathroom sink, revealing the reflection of a spiky blond haired youth with blue eyes and three whisker like marks on both cheeks. He appeared to be about 19 years old and was dressed in a black tank top and blue shorts.

Leaning over the sink, he peered at his reflection, bringing up his left hand to pull down the skin under his left eye before wiping of the residue bile from the corner of his mouth.

"Damn it…"

Leaving the bathroom he made his way passed the piles of moving boxes to find his new 'roommate' sleeping on the couch.

'Well at least SOMEONE can sleep.' He thought to himself before narrowing his eyes and looking around at the mess of boxes around the room. 'Seriously, the guy's been here less then a day and he's already making a mess of everything.' Letting out a sigh he turns around and looks up at the wall mounted clock.

6:15

Seeing no point in going back to bed he begrudgingly decided to get changed for the day ahead.

A short time latter he emerged out of the bathroom again now dressed in blue dress pants and an open blue blazer revealing a white dress shirt with the top button undone and a purple tie hanging loosely around his neck along with a pair of black and orange gloves.

Walking over to the kitchen area he grabbed a bread roll off the counter before scowling at it and placing it back down 'I'll grab something later.' Before walking over to his still sleeping roommate 'What was his name again… Taka-something or other. Not that it matters.' He contemplated waking him up before, ultimately, deciding not to. 'Fuck it; it's not my problem if he ends up being late.'

Heading to the door he pulled out a black headband with a metal plate engraved with the symbol of a leaf on it. The last memento he had from his old life.

'I miss you guys.'

Securing the headband in place and slipping on a pair of dress shoes he moved to the door and opened it only to come face to face with a girl with dark purple, waist length hair in a ponytail and light blue eyes. She appeared to be about 16 years old and was wearing a female version of his current outfit that hugged her well endowed form. 'Is that a requirement for this place? I swear every woman I've seen here has been at least as stacked as Tsunade baa-chan.'

The girl had her hand up as if she had just been about to knock on the door and was now just constantly blinking at him causing him to raise an eyebrow in response "Can I… help you?"

The girl just turned to look at the door number then back towards him before repeating the process another three times "I thought this was Taki's..." she started to say before shaking her head "I mean, I'm looking for Ooyama Takeru."

'Right, Takeru. That's what his name is.' He thought to himself while nodding his head before responding "Yeah. Pretty sure he's still inside."

A large smile appeared on her face hearing this "Great!"

She tried to get passed before being blocked by him causing her to give him a confused look while he just raised his eyebrow again "And… you are?"

"Oh right." Realisation seemed to appear across her face "Forgive me." She then bowed to an almost 90 degree angel "I'm an old friend of Taki's, Amaya Haruko."

'Why is everyone so freekin' overly formal here?' He thought to himself with a twitching eye before letting out a sigh and started to walk around her, causing the now named Haruko to turn her head towards him in confusion while standing back up. Before he got more then a few feet away from her though he held up his right hand in a half hearted wave and without looking back just called back "Naruto" while continuing on his way out of the complex.

"Okay…" Haruko said to herself before turning back towards the open doorway with that smile back on her face calling out "Taki, I'm coming in!"

'That was rude of me. Was that rude?' Naruto thought to himself as he continued down the path to his destination. 'Ah who cares, I'll sort it out later if I have to.'

Walking over a brick bridge the petals from the nearby sakura trees blew around him causing his eyes to loose focus for a second "Sakura…" before furiously shaking his head and slapping the palms of his hands over his cheeks. 'No, nope, not going there. I am NOT going down that rabbit hole.'

It was about another 10 minutes until he reached the front gates of his destination. Passing through the gate he stopped in his tracks and looked up at the building in front of him "I guess this is where it all begins..."

Closing his eyes he let out a low sigh "Okay, now… where is she?" With that the world around him faded away as he focused on the individuals within the building. Their auras starting to light up as he sifted through all the random ones he didn't recognise before zeroing in on his intended target. A scowl soon appeared on his face as he felt another aura he recognised in the same room "Great, Gen's there too."

Bringing his attention back towards the outside world he opened his eyes to find a steady flow of people starting to walk past him and into the building, most of whom being teenaged girls in the same outfit as that Haruko girl from earlier.

A lot of them seemed to be looking at him before talking amongst themselves in hushed whispers, mostly about boys and the school turning co-ed.

Ignoring the people around him and focusing on his current goal, Naruto entered into the main building before following down the corridors and stairwells that led to the signature he had been sensing out before.

Coming to a stop in front of a pair of double doors he narrowed his eyes as one of the two auras in the room moved towards the doors.

"And don't come back unless I call you or I'll kick your ass!" came a woman's voice as the door creaked open, followed by a reply of "Yeah, yeah."

Slipping out of the door was a tall man that had messy orange hair with a goatee and dark blue eyes. He had two scars on his right cheek and was wearing a leather jacket over a light green shirt with a pair of black pants and a white headband. As he turned while closing the door he noticed Naruto was in front of him before looking down towards his right arm.

"Don't even think about it."

"I wasn't."

Naruto moved around him towards the door "Yeah, sure you weren't." before opening the door still keeping the man in his line of sight.

"Damn it Gen! What did I just say!?"

Ignoring the shout from within the room Naruto kept glaring at Gen before pointing up to his eyes and then at Gen himself. He did it a few more times while moving back through the doorway and closing said door.

"Gen eyeing it up again?" came the now amused voice of the woman in the room.

"Yeah..." He replied with a sigh before turning around and giving the woman standing behind the desk a confused look "Minori?"

"Yeah, what is it?"

"You're wearing a suit… that's weird."

The woman behind the desk, Minori, had long shoulder length red hair and brown eyes. She was currently wearing a red business suit that hugged her noticeably large bust which she just so happened to be revealing by leaning over her desk, giving Naruto a free look at her cleavage.

He would have been blushing up a storm if he hadn't gotten used to it over the last few months.

"Just shut up and take a seat." Minori said with a sigh before flopping down into her chair causing her breasts to bounce "I have to get to the opening ceremony soon."

A smirk appeared on Naruto's face having gotten under Minori's skin already 'Score one for Naruto.' Before moving over to her desk and taking the seat across from her.

"So you managed to find the office alright."

"Wasn't a problem." He said while waving his right hand "I just followed your chak.. aura, ugh element, your element. I followed your element here."

"Still getting used to that huh?" Minori asked with a smirk as she rested her cheek on her closed hand.

"I'm gettin' there."

"And the nightmares?" she asked with some concern leaking through.

An image of a man in medical robes and a scalpel flashed though his mind before he just shrugged "Haven't been bothering me."

Minori narrowed her eyes at him "You know you're a shitty liar right."

"It's not as bad as it was." He stated while rubbing the back of his neck "At least I'm not waking up in the middle of the night anymore."

"You Know" Minori leaned over her desk towards Naruto "I'm here if you need to talk."

"Yeah I know." He said closing his eyes "Thanks." Before bring his hand up to tug on his tie "Still can't believe I have to do this."

"Hey, be grateful!" Minori shot out "The amount of hoops I had to jump through just to get you in." The annoyance in her voice evidence "Had to turn the whole school co-ed just to get around everything."

"I know, I know and I DO appreciate everything you've done for me." He said with a sigh. "It's just I thought that my academy days were behind me, ya know."

"If it was up to me I'd just have you join the faculty and be done with it." Minori waved her hand before letting out a sigh "But as it turns out, even in Tenbi you at least need a high school education first." A smirk then appeared on her face as she stood up. "And hey it's only for a year right, annnnd you get to be the oldest in the year."

"Yeah great" He said while also getting up "I get to be labelled as the dumbass that got held back two years, all for the sake of a cover story."

"You are a dumbass." Minori shot back with a shit eating grin.

Getting a heated glare in response, Minori let out a laugh before moving around her desk and throwing an arm around Naruto and pulling him closer to her while leading him to the door, causing his arm to bounce against her breast. "Just means you gotta bash a few heads in. Ya know, show your dominance." She finished while kicking the door open.

"So the usual then."

"Hell yeah!" She called out while raising her free fist into the air while still leading Naruto down the corridor "Now let's get down to that ceremony!"

"Why do I have to be at that?" Naruto asked blinking in confusion "I thought it was only for first years."

"Eh, mostly. There are some members of the upper years that will also be attending and I mean you are a new student."

"That the only reason?" The suspicion in his voice was evident.

"Well that and there's gonna be an exhibition match between two of the second years to show all the newbies what's in store for them. Figured it would be a good way for you to see what they were capable of too."

"Fare enough, hopefully it'll be entertaining."

"Haha, right!"

Minori continued to drag him down the corridor while the two of them just talked about whatever random topic came to mind.

"It's the food of the gods!"

"Preach!"

They soon arrived into the gym were the opening ceremony would be held and got up onto the stage with a stand in the middle of it. Standing off to the left side of the stage were two students. The first had long braided blond hair and dark pink eyes with red rimmed glasses, wearing the standard female student uniform and the second one was… 'Huh, it's that Haruko girl again.'

In the centre of the room there was a raised stage with a ramp connected to the main stage at the back of the room. Naruto guessed it must have been for the exhibition match Minori had mentioned. It would also explain why all the chairs for the students were set around, facing towards the central stage.

Minori gestured to the right of the stand opposite from Haruko and the other girl "Just stand over there and enjoy the show." She finished with a grin and moved over to the stand getting a confused look from the two girls.

It wasn't long before the new students pilled into the room and took their seats before Minori started tapping the microphone.

"Test. Test. The microphone is currently being tested. Test. Test. Can you hear me?

Naruto let out a sigh while folding his arms and saying to himself "Just get on with it."

Minori cleared her throat and addressed everyone in the gym "Everyone. Congratulations on your admission. I am Tenbi Academy's principal, Rokujou Minori. As I welcome the new students today, I'd like to introduce our school. Our school's motto is Mind, Beauty, Body. Whether it is mind or body, they both are beautiful and strong. This concept will not change even now that we became a co-ed school. The meaning of this principle is to let boys and girls harden themselves, and while abiding by the school's rules, to freely learn 'Love' and 'Battles'."

'All's fair in love and war I guess.' Naruto thought to himself, a grin appearing on his face.

"Additionally, everyone will receive the 'Element' to fight for the ni… eight, the eight 'Maken'."

"Damn it Minori." Naruto whispered as Minori received confused glances from the Haruko and the blond on stage for the slight slip.

"If you become the owner of the eight 'Maken' by controlling your 'Element', you'll surely have a very bright future. Well, rather than listening to me, it's easier to understand by watching." She turned in the direction of two female students standing by the right wall "2-B, No. 6, Kinua Garrett. Also from 2-B, No. 7, Shinatsu Azuki."

"Principle Rokujou." The girl with waist length light blue hair and bluish green eyes called out "Azuki-san and I have already had our battle."

"Ah, is that so?" Minori asked in annoyance.

"Of course." Called out the girl with chin length red hair and purple eyes with a bandage over her nose, Azuki, in a smug voice "And I won."

"Che. Oh, my poor Teddy." Garrett called out in response "From now on, Azuki-san will hug you tightly every night, while your tears are soaking the pillow."

"Eh, what the hell?" Naruto questioned in stunned silence "Actually warring over a stuffed bear."

Azuki was shaking in embarrassment "Garrett, how did you know?" before snapping out of it and glaring at her "No, I mean stop talking."

"I'm just giving you a small taste of payback." She shot back with a haughty laugh.

While the two of them were arguing the bespectacled blond on stage turned to face Minori "What do we do now, Principal Rokujou?"

"Let's have someone else demonstrate I guess."

"Principal Rokujou." A voice called out as a girl with a slender figure stepped up onto the central stage, seemingly uncaring that she was flashing everyone her panties. She had long blond hair done up in twin-tails with bright green eyes and was wearing the standard Tenbi academy girls uniform "I, Himegami Kodama, would like to carry out this battle." She called out getting cheers of adoration from the guys in the room "I'd like my opponent to be him." Before turning around and pointing at a random student with short brown hair and glasses.

'Wait, isn't that my roommate?' Naruto raised an eyebrow at this. But before anything else could happen, Haruko stepped forward.

"H-Hold on, Himegami-san. Taki… no. Ooyama Takeru is a new student."

"So his name is Takeru?" Himegami turned to Haruko with a smirk.

"Yeah… He's a childhood friend… I mean." Haruko stated before turning to Minori "To be chosen as an opponent on one's first day is too dangerous."

"It's just as the Vice-President says." The blond, next to her, added in agreement. "Principal Rokujou, the opponent should be changed."

"Hmm…" Minori seemed to be in thought for a second before casting a quick glance at Naruto and a grin appeared on her face "Okay! I've got it. Your opponent will be… Uzumaki Naruto!" she finished pointing towards Naruto.

"EH?!" He called out in shock "I thought you wanted me to observe the match not participate in it."

"Eh, we both know you're more of a 'hands on' kind of guy." She said waving her hand dismissively "This way you'll get more of a feel for how it's done around here. Besides." Her grin got wider "You wouldn't back down and run away from a challenge now would you?"

"Tch." Snorting he made his way towards the stage "Annoyingly I know you're playing me right now, but…"

"When I'm right I'm right!" Minori pumped her fist into the air.

"Fuck off! Before I change my mind." A scowl appeared on Naruto's face as he stepped onto the central stage getting a laugh from Minori and a scowl from the blond with glasses.

"But I was challenging that guy!" Himegami pointed at Takeru and stamped her foot.

"Tough shit!" Naruto got to his position and turned to face her "You fight's with me now. Challenge him later." getting Himegami go glare at him.

With the two of them now in position Minori called out into the mike "Now, the entrance ceremony special battle contest will begin. The participants are." She shot her arm out towards Himegami "Security committee, 2-A, No.20, Himegami Kodama," then gesturing towards Naruto "as well as the new transfer, 3-A, No.20, Uzumaki Naruto."

"Wait! What the… you're a senior!" Himegami called out startled. "Well no matter. You're still just a beginner like the rest of the new guys."

"Well, I don't know about that." Naruto responded while cracking his neck and bouncing on his feet "You may find I'm a little more advanced then the rest of the newbies." He finished by dropping down into a ready stance "But this is just a simple exercise match, right?"

"Right…" Himegami said sceptically.

"The time limit is three minutes. Start!"

'Three minutes?' Naruto thought as Himegami rushed forwards 'That's generous.' With a smirk he rushed forward to meet Himegami.

Meeting in the middle of the stage the two of them started dancing around each other with Himegami throwing a constant flurry of blows while Naruto effortlessly blocked every one.

This continued as Naruto slowly closed his eyes, feeling out Himegami's aura as her 'Element' flowed through her. The world around them slowly faded away as he focused solely on the fight and the flow of energy. Every blow continued to be blocked until…

"What the!"

"The hell is going on!"

"How is he doing that?!"

A shit eating grin slowly appeared on Minori's face at the shouts around the room, as Naruto, with his eyes still closed, slowly lowered his right arm and continued to effortlessly block all of Himegami's assault with only his left arm.

An annoyed frown appeared on Himegami's face 'What the hell, why can't I break through his guard? This is getting embarrassing. He's treating me like a child!' The frustration was clearly building "Take this seriously you ass!"

Instantly his left arm shot out catching Himegami's right by the wrist while simultaneously twisting around launching his right foot out kicking it into her stomach.

Himegami's eyes widened from the shock as the air was driven out of her lungs before she was sent skidding back across the floor, coming to a stop at the edge of the stage and once again flashing everyone her panties.

She instantly dropped to her knees clutching her stomach as a voice called out.

"Ojou-sama!"

A small glowing figure dressed in a red uniform with flame like hair suddenly appeared hovering over her, seemingly unseen to everyone but Himegami.

"I'm fine." She wheezed "He just caught me by surprise." Slowly pushing herself up to a standing position she shot a heated glare at Naruto who was simply standing on the other side of the stage with his back towards the rear stage and his eyes still closed "Enough of this. Ikazuchi." She called out lifting the palm of her hand.

In a flash of yellow light another glowing figure appeared in her palm, dressed in yellow instead of red, with spiky electrical hair.

"What's up?"

"We're ending this now with one shot."

"Ojou-sama!" The first spirit called out "If you overdo it Kamigari will take notice of you."

"I know that!" She snapped back "I know that well. But my blood is boiling and this guy's pissed me off."

The two spirits then disappeared as an orb of lightning appeared in her hand while her eyes turned a golden yellow with slit pupils before bolting towards Naruto.

While this was going on Naruto was just staying focused on her 'Element' as it suddenly sparked wildly and for a split second an image of an eight headed snake appeared before him 'huh… weird.'

As Himegami reached the centre of the stage Naruto suddenly vanished from her line of sight "What the…" before suddenly reappearing just in front of her to her right "Fast!" Time almost seemed to come to a stop as her eyes widened upon Naruto's slowly opening, revealing glowing blue eyes.

For a moment the image of those glowing blue eyes was replaced with a nine tailed fox as it howled right at her. Wait! No, the howl was coming from the air around the glowing orb being held in Naruto's right hand.

As he moved under her outstretched arm, spiralling orb of energy heading closer towards her, the gym became deathly quiet as one word was spoken and carried throughout the room.

"Rasengan."

As the orb was thrust into her midsection, cutting off her forward momentum, her eyes widened and mouth opened in a silent scream. The orb suddenly shone even brighter before doubling in size and launching out of Naruto's hand, taking Himegami with it. It continued to slowly grow in size, rapidly spinning as it went, and flying out of the stage and over the new students, the winds being generating from the attack blowing them and their chairs out of its path before finally slamming into the back wall.

Cracks appeared on the wall from the impact before the orb finally diminished and Himegami dropped to the ground gasping for breath.

"Winner, 3-A, No.20, Uzumaki Naruto!" Minori called out as Naruto stood back up from his crouched position while everyone else in the room just remained in stunned silence.

With that said Naruto let out a snort "You really thought you could beat me with some half assed knock off Chidori." Despite saying it quietly to himself he may as well have been shouting for how quiet it was causing Himegami to weekly glare at him from her position on the floor.

"Well that does it for the match." Minori called out, a shit eating grin still on her face "The rest of you are dismissed. Naruto…" she address before looking towards Naruto "follow me back to my office." With that said she stepped down from the stand and moved towards the exit of the room.

"Yeah, yeah…" letting out a sigh he turned to follow her before throwing one last comment over his shoulder towards Himegami "Better luck next time, 'Ojou-sama'."

Leaving the room Minori slapped him on the back while joyously calling out "Now that's how you make a name for yourself!" before throwing her arm around his neck while continuing to laugh.

"You and I both know she was holding back."

"Oh, like you weren't!" Minori shot back, tightening her hold on Naruto, forcing his head down onto the breast. "I've seen what that move of yours can do."

"Obviously." He muttered while trying to get out of Minori's grip but only ended up being turned around with his face now stuck under her breasts as she dragged him backwards down the corridor, causing her breasts to bounce up and down on his face as she continued to laugh at his discomfort.

Once they entered her office, Minori released her hold on Naruto causing him to stumble before catching himself. "Was that really necessary?"

"Yep!" She called out popping the 'p' as she walked over to her desk before leaning over it "Score one for Minori."

Seeing her looking for something Naruto let out a sigh before moving towards her "What are you doing?"

"Agh, there it is!" Shooting back up, she shoved a bag into Naruto's arms. "There you go!"

Looking down at the blue and orange backpack in his arms he quirked an eyebrow "What's this?"

"Well open it and find out." Minori said as she walked passed him.

"Yeah, yeah." He muttered to himself as he opened the zipper and looked inside finding an orange tracksuit top and black bottoms along with a pair of white and orange trainers "Ohhh, I like." Zipping it back up he started to turn back around "Thanks Mino… WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

"What?" she asked throwing her suit top onto a small sofa while turning around revealing the green bra she had on "I need to get out of this monkey suit."

"Well don't do it in front of me!"

"What's the problem?" She asked with a shrug "You've seen me in less before."

"T-That's beside the point!"

"If it bothers you that much," She rolled her eyes "then just turn around."

Turning on his feet, he spun around to face towards her desk before moving around it and towards the window. Once in front of the window something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. Down below a ring of students had formed around two in the centre.

"Looks like a fight's about to start."

"What, really?"

"Looks like it." Focusing on the two in the centre of the ring he couldn't help noticing that it was Himegami and Takeru "Huh, doesn't bother waiting around does she?"

"Sounds about right." Minori called out with a laugh as he heard her coming up behind him, probably to watch the fight.

As the two of them stared each other down lightning appeared around Himegami's hand again. As she charged toward Takeru he seemed to loose his nerve and fell back onto the ground. Before her attack could connect, a short girl with shoulder length light brown hair tied up in two small high pigtails, with a pair of crisscross yellow hair clips and dark brown eyes, jumped in the way between the two of them.

She was obviously a new student judging by her Tenbi academy uniform, but the odd thing was that she managed to block Himegami's attack using the back of a red and gold gauntlet on her right arm.

"That is not a replica." He heard Minori say to herself.

"You mean that's one of the original eight?" He asked before turning to face Minori "If that's then case, then…gah!" his eyes then widened as his face turned bright red.

Minori was now standing beside him wearing a pair of slippers and an orange tracksuit with white stripes on the side. However she had yet to have zipped the top up leaving her large breasts completely exposed, especially as she was no longer wearing her bra.

"What?" she asked with a large teasing grin before fully turning to face him, causing her breasts to bounce freely. Watching as Naruto's eyes followed their movement she let out a laugh while saying in a singsong voice "Score two for Minori."

"What the hell Minori?"

"What the hell Minori?" Naruto muttered with his head resting in the palm of his hand as he sat at the kitchen table in his dorm.

It was now late afternoon and he had just gotten back with his roommates, yep 'roommates', as in plural.

"It's a three bedroom dorm, this was bound to happen." Voiced Himegami who was seated across from him on the opposite side of the table with her arms crossed.

"An extra person isn't the issue." He said with annoyance lacing his tone. "The issue is that this is a three bedroom dorm and we now have four people here." He finished casting a glance at Takeru who was leaning against the wall and the girl who had saved him early, who he had learned earlier, was named Kushiya Inaho, seated on the ground with bags of groceries.

"Well not much you can do about it now."

"She's doing this to fuck with me, I know she is." He muttered to himself getting a raised eyebrow from Himegami. "Well whatever." With a sigh he sat back up "I've already got my room and I'm not giving it up so I'll let the three of you decide your own sleeping arrangements."

"Wait! Why do you get priority for a room over the rest of us?!" Takeru shot out.

"One, I was here first." Naruto said shooting a glare at Takeru "Two, I like my privacy." A grin appeared on his face as he continued "Three, if you have a problem with it then by all means feel free to challenge me for it." He finished lifting his hand up as a Rasengan formed in it.

Sweat started poring down Takeru's face as saw the orb of energy in Naruto's hand "Yeah, I'm good."

With a smirk Naruto dismissed his Rasengan before Inaho called out "Oh, oh I know. I'll sleep with Takeru-sama!"

"I guess that works." Naruto said with a shrug.

"You're okay with that?!" Himegami asked startled.

"Why not, it's not like it effects me and they're already engaged right." He said with a sigh before resting his cheek in the palm of his hand again "As long as you three keep your perversions out of my space I don't care what you do."

"Perversions?!" Himegami shot out of her seat slamming her hands down onto the table "I don't want to hear that from someone like you!"

"Like me, huh?" Naruto asked closing his eyes "Sorry but which one of us keeps flashing everyone their underwear, 'cause I'm pretty sure it's not me."

"THAT DOES IT YOU SICK FREAK OF NATURE!" She yelled back in response, lifting her hand up as lightning started sparking around it.

"What was that?" He asked back calmly before opening one eye and shooting Himegami a fierce glare.

Before Himegami could respond she felt an invisible force crash down on her. As she looked into that one glaring blue eye it felt like the weight of the world was crushing down on her shoulders, until it suddenly came to a stop as she let out a breath she hadn't known she had been holding. As her senses returned to her she turned her head away with a 'humph' while muttering out a "Forget it." Turning around she then marched into another room before slamming the door shut.

"Yeah, that's what I thought." Naruto said to himself with a sigh.

Behind the door Himegami was leaning back against it with her hand grasping at her chest as she took in large gulps of air "What the hell was that?" she whispered to herself.

Not knowing what was going on in the other room, Takeru just looked from the slammed door back to Naruto "You know… you can be a little scary at times."

"Whatever." He said back closing his eyes again "Just go answer the door will ya."

"Wha… but…"

Knock, Knock.

Takeru just looked back and forth between the door and Naruto "How did you…"

"Just go answer it!"

"R-Right." Takeru pushed off from the wall and bolted towards the door "Yes." before opening it.

"I have to talk to you." Haruko's voice could be heard calling out.

"No. Hold on."

"Excuse me, then." She said as she shoved passed Takeru and moved into the room only to come to a complete stop at the sight of Inaho still sat on the floor.

"Ah, you're that girl from before…"

"Do you just make it a point to barge into people's rooms?" Naruto asked from his spot still at the table.

Haruko just looked back and forth between him and Inaho in shock before zeroing in on Takeru "What is this?"

"You see… um…" Takeru nervously scratched the back of his head.

"Principal Rokujou said that as his fiancée, there is nothing wrong with us living together." Inaho happily called out with a large smile.

"This is too random." Still stunned Haruko coughed into her hand before recomposing herself "A-Anyway. A boy and a girl living together, as the dorm's superintendent, I cannot allow that to happen. I'll discuss this with principal Rokujou."

Before anything else could be said the door leading to one of the bedrooms was slammed open as Himegami kicked it open with her foot raised almost above her head "As expected of a three bedroom dorm. It's large and pretty."

"And you're flashing everyone again." Naruto said with an exasperated sigh.

"Don't look you perv!" She shot back glaring at Naruto.

"Or you could, I don't know, think before you act." He retuned with a twitching eyebrow.

"Wha-What are you doing here?!" Haruko yelled while pointing at Himegami.

"For a variety of reasons, I'm also going to switch to this room."

"What reasons?"

"They're… just various reasons." She said turning her head away with blush while Takeru looked back and forth between her and Haruko before finally settling on Haruko.

"Um… it's not like I asked it to be like this." He said nervously "It's just that it somehow became like this." Getting an annoyed look from Haruko "Um… Haru-nee…" before she turned around and stormed out of the room while slamming the door.

The rest of the occupants of the room just looked between themselves before Himegami shrugged and Naruto started counting down.

"5, 4…"

"What are you doing?" Takeru questioned.

"2, 1" He finished with a sigh while pointing towards the door just as loud stomping sounds could be heard as said door was bashed open by a returning Haruko, now with a packed bag and suitcase.

"I… I will stay here as well."

"Like hell!" Naruto called out.

"This is a three bedroom dorm." Himegami said in agreement before he continued.

"We've already got four people across three rooms we are NOT taking a fifth!"

"That doesn't matter." Haruko shot back "As a dorm superintendent, I have to watch over you so that nothing happens."

"That sound like an excuse to anyone else?" Naruto asked with a sigh, dropping his head back into the palm of his hand.

"Fine." Himegami shot back "But there are only three beds here." She then looked over at Takeru "So you can sleep in the loft." Before turning to Naruto "And you…"

"Nope! Stopping you right there." He shot back before Himegami could finish with an annoyed glare aimed at her "I know what you're thinking and the answer is no." before turning back towards Haruko "Since you're so gung-ho on doing whatever you want and Inaho already said she'd share you can bunk with her once you can get another bed put in the room. Until then you can make do with the couch." A smirk then appeared on his face "It'll be easier for you to make sure no-one gets up to anything that way, right 'superintendent'?"

Himegami couldn't help the smirk that appeared on her face, after getting over the shock of being interrupted so heatedly "Well since that's settled."

"Agh…" Inaho let out a groan, still sat on the ground "Does this mean I can't share a bed with Takeru-sama?"

"Wha… Of course not!" Haruko yelled back "That's indecent!"

The two of them then started bickering between themselves about why Takeru should or should not be allowed to sleep with Inaho causing Naruto to close his eyes and let out a sigh.

"So this is my life now."

"Could be worse." Himegami said as she retook her previous seat across from him.

An image of a medical examiner covered in blood and holding a scalpel flashed before his mind causing him to narrow his eyes

"You have no idea."

AN/ So I was recently on medical leave from work (sciatica sucks) and was board out of my mind, so I thought 'Why don't I get back into writing a fanfic' to get me out of my funk and I'm kind of glad I did. I'd forgotten how much fun it was to write one of these. With that being said, tell me what you think; give me any input you think might help along the way.
