Finding and retrieving the spaceship went off without a hitch. I thought I would have to spend forever searching around for it, but luckily the hole it was in was truly the size of a mountain!

The spaceship was nearly identical to the one Kami/Piccolo/The Nameless Namekian used to get to Earth. The password for the ship is 'Meina' or 'Savior' in Namekian.

Yes, I spent forever saying a bunch of words until the ship opened. I probably should have just flown back to Guru with the ship and asked, but there was no use crying over spilt milk. I'm never getting those three hours back.

Right now I was sitting outside of Moori's village. It has been three days since I gave Nail the book, and I was waiting for them to finish it.

The three days were spent usefully though. The first day was spent playing around with my ki control and I gotta say…

Everything is so simple now!

I raised my hand and shot a ball of ki into the air and watched as it came to a halt before I redirected it downwards.

Controlling the ki within and outside of my body came like second nature to me. I could bend my energy to my whims, which made it easy to create ki constructs, power up quicker, etc.

The next day was spent playing with my genetic manipulation. I learned a lot from messing with it. I couldn't alter my body on a cellular level, should have been more specific, but I could alter larger parts of myself.

I held my forearm up, watching as it was encased by a durable green shell.

This ability was incredibly useful, the only real downside of it was that I had to have a great deal of knowledge on the alterations I make to myself. The only reason why I could even do this much was because I had been a biology major in college. Ask me damn near anything about a turtle, and I probably had the answer to it.

Fucking ecology classes…

I looked up to the sky and frowned. As much as I hated the abysmal hot hell that college was, I kinda missed it. All the people I had come to make friends with, all the professors who would allow me to get away with missing work, and the fun parties…

I'll miss those the most, this boring planet doesn't hold a candle to my life before.

I tiredly flipped through another page of one of the copies of my book. That's how I was spending today, reading up on the Namekian Book of Legends. The concepts in here were really interesting and it had a great deal of magic. The pages were a bit clunky with the number of words, so I had to dissect it piece by piece, and it sucked when I lost focus-

"Lyre."

Oh godamn it!

"Yes, Elder Moori?" I grit out, marking my place and closing the copy. "How can I help you?"

I looked at Moori's hands to see the original book held firm. "We are done copying the sacred texts, your selflessness holds equal weight to Lord Guru's."

"Nice!" I shot up, handing him the first volume copy and taking mine back. Now that they were done, I could head off this planet and start the grind to power! "I'll be taking my leave then."

"Of course, do take care of yourself. Not all creatures in the universe are as benevolent as our race." Moori warned, and I found myself appreciating the advice.

"I had a feeling. Thank you, Elder Moori." I waved as I made my way to the spaceship. I smiled a tad as I saw several other Namekians group together behind the elder. I hadn't come to know them much in my year of life, but I knew they were all kind. It wasn't in a Namekian nature to be anything but.

I felt a familiar energy approach rapidly, and my smile grew as Nail landed beside me.

"Heading out?" He asked, crossing his arms with his eyes closed.

"I am." I nodded.

"Don't die, brat."

I couldn't help the grin splitting my lips. "I am the hope of our people, I will return."

"Cocky brat." Nail snorted, I and the rest of the Namekians around us laughed.

"Tell Lord Guru to take care of himself." I waved at my people for the last time, earning a sharp nod from Nail.

"Savior." The ship opened and I hopped on the platform, not daring to look back again as the platform closed.

I walked over to the control panel and set the coordinates for Earth. Luckily Guru had Moori pre-install them so I wouldn't have to guess at where Earth was in the Universe.

It was finally time, to leave the planet of my second birth and head into the vast depths of space for months on end. I admit I started getting cold feet, but that feeling was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of child-like excitement that consumed my very being!

It was time to meet the heroes of my childhood!

Goki —

"Again."

She launched herself forward, swinging at the black-skinned man. The punch was caught with minimal effort as he gave her a smile that chilled her very soul.

"Too slow."

"Enough, Mr. Popo," Kami ordered.

"Yes, Kami." Mr. Popo relented easily, letting her arm go.

"Your attacks are much too predictable, Goki, I had hoped you would grow out of such misuse of your abilities," Kami explained for the nth time, causing her to wince.

It wasn't her fault that she liked a head-on battle! Her blood boiled in anticipation whenever the thought of a good fight crossed her mind and she wanted to see her opponent give her all! How would they do that if she used cheap tricks to win!?

"I'm sorry, Kami." She frowned, falling on her ass. Bruises and scrapes were littered across her glistening muscular build. "I just like a good fight."

"A good fight isn't what you should hope for from Piccolo." He chastised immediately. "He will do anything to win, and you should do the same."

The thought of the Demon King Piccolo was sour for her and a sneer formed. She didn't think she truly hated anyone, but King Piccolo held the number one spot for people she disliked.

"Yes, Kami."

If she didn't beat Piccolo, who would? She had to push down her feelings toward cheap tricks if she wanted to keep Earth safe.

She couldn't let her friends die…not again.

Piccolo Jr. —

"Please, have mercy!"

Mercy, a foreign concept to him. He didn't care what the worms had to say to him, he raised his hand and blasted a hole through the human man's chest. His eyes scanned across the dozens of bodies that littered the small town.

He sat atop the corpse of one of the old men, frowning as he looked up to the daylit sky. Why did he need to kill these people? It wasn't a necessity, yet he felt inclined to do it. Why?

At this point, he was only two years old, although he was easily the size of a grown adult human. Within another year he would be fully grown, he knew that much, but it put his heart on edge.

What would he do when he ruled the world? Rule it with an iron fist, of course, but what more would come from such a thing?

"Good luck, my son. Get revenge for my demise, Destroy all of my enemies!"

Those had been the last words of his father, Demon King Piccolo, but he still contemplated the older man's words.

He didn't care for the worms on this planet, but they weren't his enemies, was killing them necessary?

A flash of a young girl with spiky black hair flashed in his mind, her approaching form shadowed by a massive ape. Her fist ran through the body of his father and thus he was born.

Piccolo Jr. got up from his place on the elderly man's body and took to the air. One year…in one year he will be fully grown and the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament will take place.

One year until he exacted his revenge, and once Goki was defeated-

…There would be no one left to get in his way!

Lyre —

Space was boring, even more boring than Namek. Don't get me wrong, it was interesting to watch as the ship soared through the stars and I found myself marveling at the sight more than once, but at least on Namek, I had people to talk to.

It had only been a few days, but I was so bored I considered stopping at random planets to pop in and meet the locals.

I decided against that though, it was all fun and games until I visited one of Frieza's planets and had to deal with his men targeting Namek early.

Fucking intergalactic tyrants.

I sat down on the cold ground and crossed my legs. My eyes closed and I began to meditate. Doing so came easy, easier than any Namekian warrior. My mind went to my body. I tried to feel the different layers my body held. From my organs to my tissues, my cells, molecules, and finally the atoms.

I couldn't get past the organ level yet, and from what I could tell, I could only alter my organs thus far.

I wondered if that would change in time.

I opened my eyes, rising to my feet and slapping my cheeks. I stared off into the emptiness of space with a look of determination.

No, I would train myself to get to that point, and if I couldn't I would make another wish for further genetic manipulation.

To be able to alter myself down to the atomic level would be an insane help. Hell, even reaching the cellular level I could fill my body with the cells of the greatest warriors in the universe and become a Namekian Cell.

A smirk full of anticipation wormed its way onto my face.

So many ways to power, and so much time to get there. If there was one thing I knew for certain-

It was that no matter what, I would reach the top!

Author's Note: It was really hard to write this one, idk why, but I'm glad I got it done. Goki here is 17 years old and it's a year before the fight between her and Piccolo Jr.
