I let out a yawn, wiping the tiredness out of my eyes as I sat up from the ground. I produced some blankets and a pillow with my almighty Clothes Beam, but it wasn't enough to feel comfortable.

I didn't know how long I had been soaring through space, it was hard to keep track, but I knew it had to have at least been a month.

I hoped.

I wanted to interact with people, and such solitude felt like hell.

{Arriving on Earth.}

I raised a nonexistent eyebrow as I heard the ship speak. It hadn't done that once the entire way. My confusion was quickly replaced by happiness and awe as I zipped by Jupiter and mere seconds later entered Earth's orbit.

The ship slowed down considerably but the ride was still bumpy as hell.

I hoped this thing knew how to land!

Just in case it didn't, I planted my feet on the ground, using my advanced ki mastery to help me stick to the ground.

*BOOM*

"Whoa, Nelly!" I shouted, my body rocking with the impact.

I took a moment to regain my bearings after that hard crash, before realization struck my features.

I was on-

{Arrived, your destination, Earth, has been reached.}

I ran to the door of the ship, opened it and took to the air. I flew up several hundred feet before spreading my arms and looking down. Lush green grass and leaves, blue skies, flowers over every color below me.

I have never been so happy to be in the middle of nowhere!

Earth, home, finally.

I took a moment, a long moment to look upon the scenery. My breathing sped up and a smile wider than ever spread my lips.

"I'm home!"

I looked around for a bit, realizing I was really in the middle of nowhere within a forest. So, I did what any smart individual would do upon reaching Earth. I closed my eyes and started sensing for the highest power I could.

I could sense one alone, their power was pretty low compared to me, but it was easily the highest power on the planet. I would have gone that way if it didn't feel…

Wrong.

It felt familiar but dark, and with my knowledge of dragon ball, I considered that it was probably Piccolo.

This means that I was in OG Dragon Ball and not Z yet.

Which was great!

I expanded my senses further and felt three energies above the clouds. They were the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th strongest energies on the planet, so it was easy to assume that those were Goku, Kami, and Popo.

My body shivered at the thought of the last name, and I prayed to the Kais that the Popo here wasn't anything like the DBZA Popo.

I don't know if i'd survive such a thing.

I blasted off, heading towards the lookout with a goofy smile on my face.

I was about to meet my childhood hero!

Krillin —

"Get my beer, Krillin!" His old master shouted, and Krillin obliged reluctantly. He went to the fridge, grabbed the desired beverage and gave it to his master before walking out of the house.

He let out a sigh as he looked up to the sky. Everything was so boring. With Goki out training with Kami, Chi-Chi out training with her father, and Yamcha at Capsule Corp with Bulma, he was the only student of Master Roshi around. Tien and Chiaotzu were training somewhere else, but Krillin barely recognized them as students of Master Roshi.

Not yet.

Krillin walked over to the ocean and stopped once the tide soaked his training boots. He let out another sigh as he realized how stupid he was being.

Sure, life was boring, but at least he was alive. He had been wished back to life after dying to one of King Piccolo's men, Tambourine killed him and ran off with Goki's dragon ball. Dying was-

…Brutal.

He shook his head and stared resolutely at the ocean. He was alive, here and now. No use wasting time bored when he could be using that time to train!

He clasped his hands together and brought them to his side.

"KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAA"

The blast parted the sea and left the ocean floor visible. Such a feat was one most martial artists dreamed of accomplishing, but when he compared himself with any of his fellow students, he felt insignificant.

Except Yamcha, he would always be better than Yamcha.

*Ding*

A mass of energy flooded his senses. His head turned, looking over in the direction of the power.

…It was enormous! An insurmountable amount of power!

Was it Goki? No, it didn't make sense for it to be her even if he hoped with all his heart that it was.

…Could it be that King Piccolo had come back? No, impossible! Goki killed him, it couldn't be that. Which meant, it was someone different entirely.

Krillin clenched his fists and went back inside Kame House. He wasn't strong enough to deal with that, and he knew it.

He was better off leaving this to Goki. As he stepped into the house and saw Master Roshi standing up and looking at his wall in the direction of the massive power, he hoped deep in his heart;

That this new power was a friend, rather than foe.

Kami —

"That's enough." The old Namekian ordered, looking at Goki and Popo as they dropped their guards.

"Aw, but we were just getting started!" Goki whined, much like she usually did, but now wasn't the time for childish games.

A new power, much higher than anything this planet has seen before just landed upon the Earth, and now they were heading here.

"Mr. Popo, take Goki into the lookout and hide your power levels." Kami ordered quietly.

"Kami…" Popo said softly before grabbing Goki's forearm. "Yes, Kami." He tugged Goki in as she tried to dig her feet into the Lookout.

What an energetic girl she was.

Once they were within the Lookout, and out of sight, Kami stared in the direction the new arrival was coming from. He waited in silence as the foreigner arrived at the top and landed several meters away from him.

His eyes widened as he realized what he was looking at.

A Namekian child.

One that couldn't be any older than one year old. Even if this child was from the Dragon Clan, he was too small to be any older than three.

"Parat, vas inglit lize Katas?" The child asked in the language of his home planet. Kami was by no means fluent in the language, but he could understand the intention in his words.

"Yes, I am the son of Katas, I am known as Kami." He answered. How many years has it been since he's spoken the name of his father? Too many. "Can you understand me, child?"

"Alright guess we're throwing out the Namekian speak and skipping right to the Universal language…English." The child spoke and Kami's eyes widened slightly. It wasn't surprising that the child knew English, what was surprising was how he went from such mannered Namekian speaking to a more…mundane level of English.

In the eyes of Kami who didn't get around much, such a thing was comical at the greatest level!

"Yes, that would be more comfortable." Kami smiled slightly, "Would you like a glass of water?" His hope was to appease this child. He knew that most Namekians were born with natural kindness, but even Kami, a Namekian held darkness in his heart at one point that he had to expel-

And considering that darkness went on to become King Piccolo, the worst tyrant Earth has ever known, he decided he had to tread carefully when dealing with beings of any kind, even Namekians.

"I would love a glass." The child smiled brightly and Kami could see that his smile lacked any evil, at least none that he could sense.

"Of course, here you are." With a wave of his hand, a glass of water was produced and floated over to the child who grabbed it with haste.

Instead of downing the water like Kami had expected, the child frowned and cast a small appraisal spell over the water before smiling and downing the entire glass.

The child was smart, and he didn't trust him. If Kami wanted to ensure the safety of the Earth, he had to change the latter.

"So, what brings you to Earth?" The planet's guardian asked with a genial smile. The child held up a finger as if telling Kami to wait for a second. He finished his glass with a satisfied exhale.

"Many reasons, but none of them nefarious. I was sent by our people's leader, Guru, my goal is to traverse the universe, learning everything about it, and growing in strength as I do!" The young Namekian declared with childlike excitement. Kami could tell that this child was proud of his goal and found the goal to be a good one. The wanting to attain knowledge couldn't be bad as long as you didn't harm others in the pursuit of that knowledge, and growing to become stronger…isn't that the wish of everyone? Stronger in their own different ways, but the strength to stand proud of yourself in everything you do was something everyone in existence tended to strive for.

"A fine goal, is Earth your first destination?"

"It is." The child nodded, handing Kami back the glass which he took with a smile and with another wave of his hand it was gone. "I hoped when I came here people would be stronger so I'd have more training partners, but I can work with this."

Kami's smile tightened a bit at those words. The child had expected Earth to be stronger, but how much stronger did he hope they'd be? If you combined the power levels of the top ten strongest people on Earth, they wouldn't even amount to a quarter of this child's strength from what Kami could sense, and there was always the chance that the child was suppressing his power.

"I'm afraid to disappoint, but Earth's warriors lack the strength you seek. You said you "can work with this" What did you mean by that?"

The child shrugged before giving the older man a cocky grin, something he only expected out of King Piccolo.

"If they aren't strong enough yet, I'll just whip them into shape! Oh and also introduce to them the pecking order!"

Author's Note: Lyre has arrived on Earth, but more than that, he is so powerful that Kami wouldn't dare throw him off the Lookout. The rest of the DB timeline will be spent with Lyre training alongside Goki until the 23rd World Tournament.

Also to clarify something, this DB is AU.

Chi-Chi didn't fall for Goki like in the original but has a crush on her and decided to follow her along with the gang to collect the dragon balls. She is also a student of Master Roshi and in terms of strength, she falls just behind Tien Shinhan as the second strongest human on Earth.
