— Lyre —
"This is a very barren building." I yawned as Kami led me through the inside of the Lookout.
"Yes, I do not need worldly possessions, the architecture is mainly for looks."
"There's nothing wrong with that." I shrugged. "Funnily enough, this building alone is more interesting than the entirety of our planet."
Kami stopped the tour to turn around, his brow raised. "I recall Namek as a place of lush green grass and trees, beautiful green skies, and calm green waters."
"Exactly, boring." I deadpanned and the older man gave me a small nod and a smile.
"Perhaps you're right, though, I would like to see it…one day."
"Perhaps you will."
We continued our tour, seriously, the place didn't have much at all. There was a room for Goki that Kami had shown me, and it had more furniture than the entire building combined.
Yes…Goki. As in a female, a woman for the kinder of men. Such a thing…made no sense. Upon hearing about it from Kami, I had to stifle my emotions less I looked suspicious.
Son Goku, the strongest Saiyan to ever live, the hope of the Omniverse, the Light in the Darkness, was a woman.
I didn't know whether to fall on my knees and curse whatever gods made this change or do the same and weep for their blessed actions!
Speaking of Goki, I couldn't feel her energy the moment I touched down upon the Lookout, but ever since we began our tour, I've been feeling her energy along with another who I assumed to be Mr. Popo.
If I had to guess, they were afraid of me and hid in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with the time dilation off so that I couldn't sense their energy.
Maybe Kami sent a telepathic message to let them know that I wasn't a threat?
Meh, doesn't matter. In mere minutes this tour would be over and I'd be meeting my childhood hero…or a woman version of him.
Kami seemed happy to give me the tour and even though it was boring, I felt happy to follow along. I don't know what it was, but his existence reminded me a great deal of Guru. Kami wasn't near as old as Guru, not to my knowledge, but Kami was older than most Namekians on Namek, barring the Village Chiefs and a few elders.
To sum these feelings up, I found his presence relaxing.
"That's just about everything." Kami turned around and gave me a grandfatherly smile and I returned one that exuded my youth. He didn't show me the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and I wasn't going to ask about it. If he left it out, he left it out for a reason.
"It was a nice tour, if a little boring, you're a pleasant host."
"I thank you, young one."
He led me outside and there we saw two people clashing. I looked on and my jaw dropped. Goki and Popo were sparring, but it wasn't their fight that left me captivated-
It was Goki's beauty.
I had expected to see Goku with tits, but that wasn't what she was at all. She was slimmer with womanly curves that I could see even with her baggy gi. On top of that, her face was a lot more delicate, and feminine. Her face alone made her a beauty to behold and her body made her a dime.
Kami and I watched as she and Popo engaged in hand-to-hand combat, Goki attempting to use speed and swift hits, while Popo didn't move much from his initial position, only defending and counter attacking when Goki made mistakes.
Or at least, I think?
I was by no means a martial artist. Even Nail who was a warrior of Namek wasn't a martial artist, he was a warrior who had refined his fighting style over years of sparring with other Namekians.
This means I had a great deal I could learn from the martial arts masters of this world, and I intended to.
I decided there was no time like the present to start learning and focused closer on the battle. I could see everything as if it was in slow motion, but that wasn't the point of this. What I needed to know was how Goki and Mr. Popo moved, and why they did so. Those were the two questions a person would need to ask themselves when learning anything. How and why.
Goki clashed with Popo and he sent a punch her way that pushed her back, instead of remaining stagnant, she rushed to the side before charging right at Popo again attempting to kick him, but Popo caught her leg and swept the other one from underneath her.
The fight was over as Popo punched forward, stopping a few inches from Goki's head.
"That is enough, Mr. Popo."
"Yes, Kami." Popo bowed, his eyes looking at Kami and then drifting to me. I couldn't tell much about his expression because his eyes were wide and didn't ever seem to get any less so, but I felt as if he was inspecting me with scrutinizing focus.
"Goki, that was an impressive display of improvement, but you still lack the necessary power to drive in with such confidence. You'll need to fix that."
Goki sat cross-legged and crossed her arms under her impressive bust. "I know, but it's hard. I don't know how to fight anyway besides straight on."
"Use your ki?" I spoke up with a raised brow. I was by no means a martial artist, but by launching a ki blast at Popo, Goki could have at least forced the dark man to lose balance, or at least exert some effort in blocking/deflecting the attack, and by extension, created an opening to an attack.
Goki looked at me, confusion dancing in her eyes before excitement lit in her onyx orbs. "Kami, you never told me you have a grandson!"
Everyone on the Lookout deadpanned at the girl causing a nervous bead of sweat to drip down her cheek.
"This is not my grandson, but it would not be wrong to say that we're related in some way." Kami smiled, looking to me before turning his attention back to the Saiyan woman. "This is Lyre, a Namekian from our race's home planet, Namek. He has come here to learn from us. I expect you to treat him well, Goki."
"Right! Nice to meetcha, Lyre." Goki stepped forward, offering me a hand to shake, and I obliged, shaking her hand. It made me upset how much taller than me she was, she had to be at least a foot or so taller than me.
That wouldn't work…I couldn't allow things to remain like this!
"It is nice to meet you as well, Goki."
The girl gave me a grin and again she spoke; "That super high power we felt earlier, it was you right?"
I was surprised to know she could sense energy, but considering that at this point she's been training with Kami for two years, It wasn't too surprising.
"It was." I nodded, and her eyes twinkled as she pointed to the open space of the Lookout.
"Fight me!"
"Sure." I agreed quickly. It would be a good idea to beat Goki down here and now. After all if there's anything I learned about Goku in the time I spent watching DB, it's that he always strived to surpass the insurmountable. Getting her ass kicked now would be good for her in the long run.
"Yes!" Goki cheered, jumping backwards and dropping into a stance. I walked forward with a cocky look, putting my hands behind my back. She raised an eyebrow at that. "What are you doing, get in your stance."
"To use all of my power against you would be both dangerous, and stupid. I shall fight you without using my arms and without moving from this spot."
Goki frowned at that. "That's no fun! You're supposed to at least try a little and then work your way up!"
"I don't know how to hold back as I have never needed to in my entire life. The difference in our strength is too high for me to slip up and get excited fighting you, Goki." I explained and got a reluctant nod from her. I was glad to see that she could accept these terms even if she didn't like them.
"If you're both ready, begin!" Kami declared the start of the battle and Goki rushed me. As I had said before, I didn't move from the spot, letting her fist collide with my cheek. My head didn't even budge an inch and Goki pulled back to grab her hand in pain.
"What is your head made of?" She asked, jumping back for a moment to nurse her hand. Did this hard-headed girl just ask me that? The girl is known for having a head that hits harder than her fists.
"Namekian…bone?" I answered, unsure myself. Were Namekians naturally more durable than humans? I mean I knew that Namekians were born with higher power levels, but if you took a Namekian with a PL of 500 and a Human-
My thoughts were interrupted by Goki rushing me again, launching a barrage of hits to my face.
-With the same PL, would the bone density be higher? I knew Saiyans were naturally more durable, it's how kid Goku/Goki could tank bullets even with a PL of like ten. I'd need to conduct some experiments to see what I could figure out.
Speaking of Saiyans tanking attacks-
I reared my head back and brought it forward, slamming against Goki's. The girl dropped to the ground clutching her head which now sported a nasty bruise.
Ah, might have gone just a bit too far.
— Later —
After Kami finished healing Goki's wounds by giving her a Senzu bean, Goki went inside to study for the night.
Yes, Kami had Goki studying, I was honestly shocked and proud of the old Namekian. If there was one thing that canon Goku lacked, it was brain cells, or at least in OG DB and in Super.
Z Goku was that guy.
"Thank you for that." Kami spoke and I raised a brow as I looked at him. "Goki is a competitive girl. Until now, she believed myself and Popo to be the pinnacle's of power. She's spent everyday training and with each day she's grown just a bit closer to us in strength. Today she met someone who beat her without even trying, with a lone attack, while he was unfocused on the battle." Kami patted me with his staff and I scratched my cheek nervously.
Damn, I was kind of a dick without even realizing it. I was just interested in learning more so I could use my genetic manipulation!
"All of that would be enough, but add in the fact that you are a child that hasn't even seen their second birthday in Earth years, she'll be more motivated then now to surpass your current power, and keep up with you as you grow."
"I look forward to the challenge." I smiled. I wasn't by any means the end all be all to strength, hell I didn't even know if I was stronger than Nappa, though I assumed/hoped I was.
"I'm glad, and you are free to stay here as long as you'd like."
I grinned at that. "Thanks! If you're in the giving mood, can I ask for a couple more things?"
Kami blinked before gesturing with his staff for me to continue.
Kami and I talked while standing atop the world on his Lookout. I asked for things, things that would help me grow stronger. The almighty tools for the mind.
Books.
I asked for books on the Anatomy and Physiology of all documented animals on the planet, while also asking for beginner guides to the various kinds of martial arts. There were six months until the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, and I intended to compete.

Author's Note: Ah yes, the beginning of a grand friendship and a great grandfather/grandson relationship. I always like writing scenes like these.
