A/N: Hi everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I'm so sorry for the long wait, life got a bit crazy for a second. Anyways, I'm back and I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. :)

DtownGurl444: Thank you so much for your review and question. So, originally I had planned to solely follow the show, but I felt that an AU would be better because I had created some backstories to share as well. But, there will be some aspects of the show once in a while.

Guests: Thank you so so much. I'm so glad you all enjoy it.

Mancey98: Ahh thank you! I was so excited to see an update on your story too! You are so amazing!

Lilabb456: Of Course! I'm so so glad you enjoy it!

DontKnowWhere: Ahh me too! I had just started watching the show again and was like "Why not add Glee?" Haha, but thanks so much!

Thank you all so so very much for your reviews! I absolutely love reading them! Thank you!

The next morning…

Santana tries to reach Morgan once more to advise him of their new plan.

"We're moving out. If you heard me yesterday, you may be coming here. If you are, we'll be gone by the time you arrive, so I'm leaving a note and map behind. We're headed to the C.D.C. If there's anything left, it's got to be there, don't you think? Morgan… I hope you were right about that place. I need you to be right. Hope to see you then." Santana ends off and returns to camp to see that the group was gathered around Finn.

"Alright everybody, listen up. Whoever has a problem with the communication system and can't get a signal, you're going to hit your horn one time. We'll all stop, fix it, then head back out. Okay, any questions?"

"We're, uh..we're not going." Morales states, "We have family in New Jersey and we want to be with our people."

"If you go on your own, you won't have anyone to watch your back." Finn says

"We'll take the chance. I got to do what's best for my family."

"You sure?" Santana asks

"We talked about it." Morales says looking at his wife and two kids, "We're sure. "

Santana hands Morales 2 guns and a box full of ammo.

"Thank you all, for everything. We wish you all the best." Morales' wife says as the Rodriguez family says their goodbyes and starts hugging everyone.

"If you guys change your mind, you still have the communication system intact." Santana says as she shakes hands with Morales.

And with that, the rest of the group is off to see the remains of the C.D.C. and see if there's any hope for Jim.

There were a total of 5 cars headed to the C.D.C.

Santana's car: Santana, Quinn, Lucas, Ella, and Kurt

Dale's RV: Dale, Glenn, Blaine, and Jim

Finn's car: Finn, Rachel, Brittany, Mike, and Tina

T-Dog's car: T-Dog, Andrea, and Daryl

Puck's car: Puck

"Daddy, how much longer?" Ella says as she looks out the window and sees nothing but trees.

"Not too sure sweetie. But just a little longer, okay?" Kurt replies back as he continues to play rock, paper, scissors, with Lucas, "Ah, you got me again. You're really good Lucas."

"Thanks Uncle Kurt! This is how I get to stay up past my bedtime."

"What! Santana! So this is why he had fallen asleep eating his cereal." Quinn says as she looks back at all the times it had happened to the young boy and slaps the back of Santana's head.

"I'm sorrryyy Luce, but our kid never loses. I swear he cheats. Anyways, let's play a little game to make this car ride a little more fun."

"Oooh what game, Aunt San?"

"Well, me and your Aunt Quinn played this a lot during our trips," Quinn smiles as she remembers all the trips that she and Santana took before their son was born. Quinn then reaches for Santana's hand that was on the gear shift and interlocks their fingers. Santana smiles then continues on. "Guess the word. You'll have a turn to guess the word I choose, I'll either say if you're warm or cold if you're close to getting the word. So who's first?"

"Ooh ME!"

After having played Santana's game for roughly an hour, Santana saw that the kids and Quinn, who had still been holding Santana's hand, had fallen asleep.

"She really missed you, you know? She was just a shell of her former self for a really long time. It was truly heartbreaking to see her like that."

"Yeah. I know. I hate having been the one to cause her that pain. I love her too much to ever see her go through that again." Santana says as her voice becomes small.

"You know she was telling stories about you to the whole group, right?" Kurt laughs as he remembers one of them. "Like the one where you went all 'Lima Heights' on Rachel and Finn for their kiss that cost us Nationals that one year, and Quinn had to hold you back before you almost killed Rachel."

"Oh God no. Really? I mean we could've won Nationals twice. Damn Hobbit." Santana chuckles and kisses Quinn's hand.

For a few minutes, both were silent as they started to reminisce about the good old days again.

"Hey Santana?"

"Yeah, Kurt?"

"Do you ever think everything will go back to normal? Seeing our kids grow and live their lives without any danger. Do you really think that once we get to the C.D.C, everything is going to be okay?"

"I hope so, Kurt. I need it to be, this group really needs some sort of-"

Honk

Santana looks up at her rear mirror and sees that Dale was waving his hand out the window to signal Santana to stop, which she does.

Dale hops out of his RV and makes his way towards Santana, who had lowered her window.

"It's Jim… It's not looking so good. I don't think he can take it anymore." Dale says to Santana.

Santana slowly removes her hand from Quinn's, to avoid waking her up, and quietly leaves the car and goes to check up on Jim.

"Hey Jim, how are you holding up? We are roughly 40 more minutes away from the C.D.C." Santana says as she puts her hand on his shoulder.

"Oh no. Please stop. My bones… my bones are like glass. Every little bump is killing me. Please just leave me here. I'm done. Just let me be with my family."

"I don't think… They're all dead Jim. I don't think you know what you're asking. The fever is making you delirious."

"I know. I'm still here, but in five minutes I might not be. I might turn and be a danger to all of you. Santana I know what I'm asking for and I want this. It's my decision, please." Jim pleads and sees that Santana slowly nods and excuses herself to talk to the rest of the group to let them know.

Santana signals Finn to come out and talk. She starts by telling Finn about Jim's condition and how he is done and wants to stop.

"It's what he says he wants. And he's lucid. The fever hasn't affected him yet." Santana continues

"So what, we just leave him here and take off? San, I'm not sure I could live with that." Finn states

"You guys, it's not your decision. It's Jim's." Dale adds

Santana goes back to the car to inform Kurt, Quinn, and the kids that it was time to say goodbye to Jim.

Puck and Finn start to carry Jim to a nearby tree and gently lay him there.

"Hey, Jim. I mean, you know it doesn't need to be this way. We can make it to the C.D.C." Santana pleads

"No. I can't. But it's okay, the breeze feels really nice here."

"Jim, do you want this?" Finn walks up to him and hands him a gun.

"No. You'll need it. I'll be okay. Thank you."

After many hugs and tearful goodbyes from the group, they silently depart on their journey.

40 minutes later…

The survivors had finally arrived at the C.D.C, but it wasn't as they imagined it to be. There were various corpses lying around the entrance of the building, releasing a rancid stench leaving the group having to cover and plug their noses. There were however approximately a dozen walkers still lingering around.

Both Lucas and Ella were hiding behind Quinn and Kurt, crying out of fear of what was in front of them.

"Everybody, keep moving. Stay quiet and stay together." Finn says as he and Santana move closer to the entrance. Only to find out that the building was sealed shut. Finn had started to lift it, but nothing.

Puck started pounding on the door, but nothing budged.

"There's nobody here!" T-Dog shouts

"Then why are these shutters down?" Santana shouts back.

"Walkers!" Glenn shouts to alert the group that the dozen walkers were now approaching closer to them.

"You led us into a fucking graveyard Santana!" Puck yells out

"Shut up Puck!" Finn says and moves over to Santana, "Santana, this is a dead end. We need to leave." Finn tries to reason, but Santana doesn't move. She's focused on finding a way inside.

"Santana please. We can't be here, it's too close to the city. We can't be here!" Kurt cries out as he and Blaine start to form a barrier around Ella. .

"Santana, we can head to Boston. Don't they have a government defense system? It'll be our best option." Finn says to Santana, who was staring at the door and noticed a camera above.

"On what? We have no food, no fuel. That's like 100 miles." Andrea says.

"It's actually 200" Everyone looks at Brittany, "What? I did the math." Brittany speaks up as Mike looks at her proudly.

"I'll think of something." Santana says to desperately calm down the group.

"Come on, let's go!" Finn says as he urges the group to head back to their cars.

But Puck goes back for Santana and pulls on her shoulder, "Santana, we need to leave now!"

"The camera, it moved." Santana says as she waves for the group to come back.

"You imagined it." Puck says

"It moved. I swear, it moved."

"Santana, it's dead. It's an automated device. The gears are just winding down. Now please come on." Finn says grabbing Santana's arm and pulls her, but she resists and starts slamming her hand against the shutters.

As Puck realized that there was nothing he could do to reason with Santana, he leaves and goes back to make sure that Quinn and Lucas go to the car, but Quinn doesn't move.

"Quinn!" Pucks yells out, but Quinn doesn't listen and runs towards Santana.

"Tana there's nobody here. Please love, we need to go." Quinn says looking at Santana, who doesn't look back.

"I know you're in there. I know you can hear me. PLEASE, we're desperate. Please help us. We have women and children. We have no food and hardly any gas left. PLEASE." Santana cries as she pleads and begs looking into the camera.

Quinn looks at how defeated Santana looks. Never in her life has she seen Santana this broken and having to beg.

"Tana, please. We need to go." Quinn says, wrapping her arms around Santana and attempting to pull her back.

"We have nowhere else to go!" Santana says as she pounds on the door again, now attracting more walkers. "IF YOU DON'T LET US IN, YOU'RE KILLING US! PLEASE! YOU'RE KILLING US! YOU'RE KILLING US!"

Puck has had enough. Santana was going to get everyone killed. She was going to get Quinn and Lucas killed. Puck leaves Lucas with Finn and goes back to where Santana and Quinn were and tries to pull Santana away himself. But as soon as he puts his hands on Santana, the door to the CDC opens, releasing a bright light towards them.
