Chapter 13

Back at the domain…

He was diligent.

Each morning he woke up, Satoru would drink some tea before getting started. With great care he would pick Yua out from the bed and bring her to the bathroom. A trick he learned from Sukuna recently made things much more easier. "She is not going to move, let alone go to another room to relieve herself, a little trick is this basic jujutsu. There are three and you have to do it in order. 'Cleanse, purge, refresh' understood Six Eyes?"

It took a few minutes to learn, but Satoru understood it perfectly.

He brought Yua to the bathroom where he did just that. "Cleanse, purge, refresh" he chanted.

Her body glowed, every form of filth and toxins were removed and dissipated in curse energy. She sighed after that, one of the few sounds she dares to make now a day.

Satoru would run a bath for her next, taking away her clothing he made certain the water was warm enough and she was propped up. Yet, as of late, Satoru has had help. He would get Yua's bath done, in that time he would go and change the bed sheets and do laundry. But now, by the time he returned, the bed is made and there are fresh sheets and new pillowcases put on.

"Never thought Sukuna did laundry…" he muttered.

He would take Yua from the bath before dressing her. Then, Satoru would brush her hair, clear the gunk from her eyes and try to get her to eat something by spoon feeding. He took small victories in the fact she would eat a few mouthfuls before turning away. "You did well," he said gently.

With care, he cleaned her face before bringing her back to the bed. He climbed right in there with her and rested at her side but braced her close to him.

"No change?"

Peering at the door, he saw Sukuna linger.

"She ate a little more, but not by much."

He came into the room before peering over Yua. Sukuna looked into her eyes but sighed. "Still the same look…" he said in disappointment.

"What are you looking for?"

"The spark of life,"

"Huh?!"

"Tooru method I learned, when one of their own fall into this state of disrepair, you can only wait until you see the spark of life return to their eyes. You cannot force them to change, nor can you force them to wake up and faster. It's a delicate process; so far, I have yet to see the spark of life return to her eyes. To put it bluntly, it's her will to live"

Satoru held her a little closer to himself.

"And… if you don't see the spark…"

"Let's say it would be a lot harder to bring them back to their mindset than before. As I said, Tooru women are a different kind of sorcerer. Still, I have no doubt in my mind that she will return."

Satoru… pause oddly.

"You're that confident?"

Sukuna bore a smirk. "That woman as been put through more than the brat at this point… I can assure you, as much pain as she is in right now… she won't let this go, nor will she let those behind this go unpunished." He looked to Yua once more and nodded. "I would bet my life on that."

Satoru nodded as he shimmied up the bed a little. He brought Yua on to his lap as he held her like a baby in his arms. "I just wish she will say something… anything…"

"Be careful for what you wish for"

"What do you mean?"

Sukuna sighed. "The first words out of her mouth will be what her attackers said before she passed out. Those will be the only words she can utter until a breakthrough occurs. It can be rather maddening for those around her, for they will hear her pain, and there is nothing that they can do about it."

He didn't think of that…

"Just as sorcerers are insane one way or another. Pain is pain, it is one thing that can be agreed upon if you have jujutsu or not."

He only nodded to that.

"I'll be training your children."

"What?!" Satoru demanded.

"I've been doing so ever since they have been born. Only recently have you begun to listen, but have no concept as to HOW to train them do you?"

Satoru was silent on that. He had a point. Shin's ability is different from his, Mochi uses fire and Rook has heavenly restrictions. How does one teach children of his?

"Yua's perception of you is correct. You are terrified of your own children…"

"I'm not scared!" he protested. "I… just don't know how to go about doing it…"

He looked back at the King of Curse, who bore a rather strange look. It was the same glare Suiryu gives him to say. 'You're full of shit'. Sukuna wasn't even buying these words.

"Satoru Gojo, the so called strongest sorcerer… already proven otherwise… and yet, he has trained a heavenly restricted student, the ten shadows user, a child cursed by love, one cursed by me who has NO technique to begin with, a spitfire woman, a curse corpse and speaker… and you are telling me to my face, you have NO IDEA as to how to go about training your own children? Either you are brilliant to wait and leave them in my capable hands, or an idiot to leave their training to me…" He suddenly pause.

Something caught his attention.

"Sukuna?"

He bore a small smirk, but said nothing. "By the end of this, your children will be protecting you. I won't do anything that would or bring serious harm. However, I will teach them to stand on their own. After all…" he said and began to leave. "If they can hold their own against me, there is no sorcerer in this world who would pose a threat to them."

Ryomen Sukuna meant every word…
