A knock came at the door and the old man sighed, "enter Ronald."
"Headmaster we have a problem. Potter doesn't want to fail. He has Granger helping him study. I also think they are helping Longbottom." Ron said to the headmaster.
"This indeed is a problem. I need you to distract him from school work."
"I tried to get him to play chess with me or go flying. He said that I could fail if I wanted to but he wasn't going to fail." Albus Dumbledore frowned at this news.
"I need you to do anything and everything you can to prevent Mr. Potter for excelling at his school work. I will talk with Professor Snape about a potion that should hinder his mind. If that does not work then we will have to bind all of his abilities, but they should all be bond as it is." Ronald just nodded before leaving the headmaster to his thoughts. Albus just sat there thinking, he knew something had changed with the Potter boy, after all that schools paintings had stated that the boy knew a few different languages that Albus didn't know and was sure that Harry hadn't learned. It worried Albus that maybe the Horcrux had taken control of the boy when Mr. Flich's cat was attacked, but know he wasn't so sure. Getting up he walked over to the Floo and asked Severus to meet him in his office. It didn't take long before Severus was in the headmaster's office.
"Ah Severus, good. We are running into an issue with Mr. Potter. I was wondering if there was a potion that we could use to hinder is academics. It would seem as if Mr. Weasley is unable to get Harry to not work on homework." Severus sat looking at the headmaster with a raised eyebrow. "Before you ask Severus, you know that the boy has to die for the Greater Good."
"I am aware. I also need to inform you that a couple of my snakes were seen hanging around Mr. Potter recently. It would also seem as if a couple of Hufflepuffs have also been seen around Mr. Potter. Do you want me to brew a repulsion potion also?"
"That might be for the best. I can't have Mr. Potter having to many friends, it could ruin all of our plans." Albus didn't know that at the exact moment in it all of the group were currently in the true headmasters office talking with the four founders, after having given a boost to the true wardstone of the school. It wouldn't be much for the headmaster to not notice that the sorting hat, Bernard, to disappear for a couple of hours to inform the heirs of the headmasters plots.
Harry was sitting at the desk of Gryffindor when in a flash of flames both Fawkes and the sorting hat appeared. It caused everyone to jump.
"Don't do that Bernard," the hat was scolded by a painting. Harry chuckled when the hat looked a little put out at being chastized by a painting.
"Well then I won't warn the heir about the current headmasters plots to make him stupid, die, and lose his new friends." Bernard snarked back to Rowena, who just scowled at him. Everyone in the group chuckled because Rowena's scowl looked just like Hermione's did and that scowl would usually cow anyone into doing as she asked. "Now, Mr. Potter. The headmaster has our resident Potions master brewing two potions. The first potion is to hinder you academically. The second Potion is a repulsion potion that will be keyed to everyone in this room. I am also sure that each of you will be given a dose that is keyed to Mr. Potter. I would be careful of Mr. Weasley seeing as he is spying for the headmaster. He has also been told to make sure you don't have to many friends, mostly because..."
"According to the headmaster I have to die for Voldemort to be defeated. I am aware Bernard. I have a plan but I need Fawkes's assistance if he is willing." Fawkes trilled a quick tone and nodded before offering Harry a tail feather. Harry just smiled before taking the feather, "everyone grab hold, we are going to see the Goblins. Fawkes we don't want to be seen being in the Alley. If you know of a place that would be better."
Fawkes then flashed all of them in a secure room in the bank. Standing at the door was a goblin who raised an eyebrow at the group of students.
"We are here to see Barchoke. Inform him that Mr. Potter has come into the knowledge of his inheritance and has been joined by a few advisors." Harry spoke in perfect Ghukliak. The goblin nodded before leading then down the halls to the account manager Harry spoke about. Once they reached the door the goblin knocked and informed the goblin behind the door of everything Harry had told him. The goblin in the room barked back.
"Well, don't keep him waiting that is rude. Send him in, his advisors also." Harry and the group were let into the office. "Mr. Potter, I am glad to see you."
"It is good to finally know about my inheritance. May I introduce my compainions?" Barchoke waved his hand allowing Harry to continue. "With me are Susan Bones of House Bones, Hannah Abbott of House Abbott, Tracy Davis of House Davis, Daphne Greengrass of House Greengass, Draco Malfoy of House Malfoy, and Hermione Granger. Barchoke would it be possible to preform and Inheritance test upon Miss Granger?"
"It is possible, but who should pay the fee for it?"
"Take the fee from the Potter vaults." Barchoke nodded and pulled out two parchments and a gnarly looking knife.
"Before we can continue though I must verify that you are in fact Mr. Potter. We can also preform Miss Grangers test at the same time." Harry nodded took the knife offered and sliced the tip of his left ring finger, allowed three drops to fall before passing the knife to Hermione.
"It will only sting for a moment. It will heal once the required blood has been accepted by the parchment." Draco informed Hermione who nodded and did the same as Harry. Barchoke took the two parchments and knife back. Returning the knife to the sheath and drawer, he looked over the parchments. As he read his eyes went wide.
"It would seem as if you Mr. Potter are in fact Lord Potter as well as Lord Gryffindor and Lord Slytherin. Miss Granger you are Lady Ravenclaw and Heir Dagworth-Granger. This means that you two own more than half of Hogwarts and the surrounding land, including the village of Hogsmeade. If you are aware of Heir Hufflepuff then between the three of you, you would own all of it and can make any demand of the ghosts and paintings. You could currently hire and fire any Professor that you deemed unworthy of the honor to teaching." Harry and Draco smiled evilly. Snape was now on notice. Back at the castle Severus Snape felt a cold chill run down his spine and knew that someone was about to cause him trouble. "Now is there anything Gringotts can do for you?"
"First, I am aware of who Heir Hufflepuff is," Harry said looking at Susan. "Next, what we need is protection from potions and magical bindings."
"Good, we are proud to know that the founders houses won't be in hiding to much longer. Now the protection is possible but it is expensive."
"Price matters not." Draco said. "Our minds, magic, and lives are more important than money." Barchoke nodded his head at this comment and sent for the necessary items to protect these people from manipulation. A goblin brought in a small box and handed it over to Barchoke.
"These are rings that are designed to neutralize any potion and they offer an amount of protection against magic being used against you. They will protect you from any spell short of the unforgivable curses." Harry nodded and everyone took a ring. Putting them on their right ring fingers each ring flashed and resized to fit the wearer. "Do you wish me to take the fee for these from the Potter vaults also?"
"Yes. I will return to see you the first of November in two years time. At the time we will have more to discuss. For now that is everything that we needed done. Keep my investments growing and lock all of my vaults down. No one gets in without me, and I will then demand that if I do show with someone I want a mind magics and potions test preformed." Barchoke nodded, before turning to Hermione.
"Miss Granger, a letter will be sent out to the current Lord of the House of Dagworth-Granger to inform him that an heir has been found. He will be overjoyed with this news." Hermione nodded, then the group rose and left the office returning to the castle with the aid of Fawkes who had waiting in the Phoenix chamber. Harry and the group smiled knowing that they were now protected from Dumbledore and Snape.
