Chapter 17 Jaune and his team meets Texas, a message to Eren, the refueling base
After escaping from the PCA fleet and it's squadron 621 get a message from one of the Vespers who works for Arqubus.
Rusty: hey, Raven. It's me, Rusty – your old buddy from the Vespers. Haven't talked since we climbed the wall. I'd love to catch up but I'll cut to the chase.
The screen shows a fleet of PCA Ships along with it's Squadron, Crimson and Sol.
Rusty: the PCA has deployed its suppression fleet… and now it's laying down the law all over Rubicon. We've already lost several survey bases, and Balam in a sorry state too.
The screen then shows the many survey bases that has taken over by the PCA forces and shows the Liberation Front forces getting ready to attack corporations.
Rusty: for their part, the Liberation Front sees this as an opportunity. If you ask me, they're counting their eggs before they hatched. At this rate, the corps, Rubiconists, the Mercenaries, I.S pilots and huntsmen will down together not mention we have those aliens to worry about to since they are also attacking everyone as well.
Then the screen closes.
Rusty: I'm sending you a request from the Arqubus Group – we could use the Wallclimber's help.
Then the call ended and 621 heads back to base to rest until he gets more missions from those who will hire him. Once he returned to base 621 gets a message from Walter.
Walter: I see you've been contacted by . I've been contacted as well – by the Balam group. Seems both sides have been forced to halt the Coral survey. Check the briefing, 621.
Once the message ended Ayre speaks.
Ayre: … Raven. I've picked up a good job for you, too. I know you've established yourself as one of the corporations' preferred mercenaries… but I was hoping you might learn more about the people who live on Rubicon.
621: … I'll take a look at … it when I… have the chance Ayre.
621 then takes a little rest until he starts another mission, meanwhile with the Redguns, Jaune and his team are trying to figure out what to do next since the PCA and unknown group of Aliens everyone which is making things difficult for them.
Nora: any ideas fearless leader.
Jaune: I'm thinking on how to handle this situation but those Aliens are really making it hard for us…
Ren: … you think we should take out those aliens first before we even do any further.
Jaune: that might be a good idea but we still don't know what there capable of…
As the team thinks about what to do they are contacted by Michigan that Balam wants Jaune's team to attack a base that appears to belong to an I.S faction.
Jaune: hmmm perhaps taking on this mission clear my head a bit and we might find out what the other enemies might be up to.
Jaune tells everyone to get ready for a mission there about to take on.
Meanwhile with 621 who done resting takes a look at the missions that are available the first one is from Arqubus so he checks what it is.
Then the Briefing began.
Rusty: hey, buddy. This job comes from Schneider of the Arqubus Group. Here's the run down. They want you to attack the Jorgen refueling base, a PCA foothold on Rubicon. The target is the energy refinery plant deep inside. Take that out and… well, it ought slow down their suppression fleet, at least. Until recently, Jorgen was one of Balam's Coral survey bases. It only took a day for the PCA suppression fleet to commander the base. You'll also find a number of fuel storage tanks that I've marked as pay targets. I want you to be a walking advertisement for opportunities in destruction.
Then the Briefing ended and 621 gets ready for the mission he is about to be sent to.
Walter: a walking advertisement? Your not their mascot 621 just focus on getting the job done.
Back with Jaune and his team whose attacking an unknown base that appears to belong to an I.S faction but there machines are black and doesn't appear to be with the other I.S pilots or its fleet which means one thing these people belong to phantom task a terrorist group whose from earth.
Phantom task soldier: dammit no one told us about this!
Phantom task soldier 2: how… HOW!? Did these guys find us we should have been found out so easily!
The Redguns takes out the enemy's forces at the base making sure none of them don't escape.
Iguazu: okay someone tell me why are these guys here?
Nora: hmmm don't know they just seems to be here for some reason.
Jaune: I bet there here for the Coral just like everyone else it is after all a powerful energy source.
Ren: but this still doesn't explain how they got into Rubicon we may have to be careful from now on.
Then the group heard explosions from the other base they go to take a look and they spot another A.C with the Rhodes Island emblem on it.

Jaune: Rhodes Island?
Iguazu: who are they?
Jaune: a group who came from Terra and who defeated reunion when they were causing trouble.
Nora: but why are they here?
Ren: … you should ask them Jaune.
Jaune: right I'll ask the pilot... Rhodes Island this is one of the Redguns speaking can you hear me?
?: yes I can hear you.
Iguazu: by the sound of the pilots voice it's a female.
Nora: looks like it.
Jaune: are you on the same mission as us to destroy this base or defend it?
?: the destruction of this place should give you the answer your asking about.
Ren: looks like both parties we're selected in order to make sure this place is completely destroyed.
Jaune: looks like it and she isn't attacking us and her comrades could be hiding if we ever do something but the mission is done there's no need to be here anymore.
Iguazu: hey you don't think there going to attack us do you ?
?: we won't attack you after all the mission is done there's no need for fighting against each other.
Jaune breaths a sigh of relief knowing they don't need to fight but the group is jumped by a phantom task I.S pilots who survived the attack.
Phantom task pilot: you bastards! We'll make you pay for what you done with your lives!
The phantom task pilots attack the group in order to avenge there comrades unfortunately they are the ones who gets jumped by the other team mates as they are brutally sliced to bits by them and blown up.
Iguazu: ugh…
Nora: that was very brutal…
Jaune: uh huh.
?: well we're done here its time to.
?2: hey Texas are these guys our enemies as well?
Texas: no they are not Lappland, it looks like we were all sent to the same mission area for some reason but it's done so we don't need to be here anymore we can leave now.
The Rhodes Island group soon leaves the area seeing that everything is done the Redguns soon leave as well.
Back with 621 he arrived at the mission area begins has job.

Walter: commence mission. Take out the PCA forces and the energy plant.
621: understood.
Thus begins the mission 621 started attacking the enemy's in the area he also destroy one of the fuel storage tanks in order to get more money he even fights one of the PCA'S LC's he continues the mission destroying more of the enemy's forces as he does he discovered a log that says that PCA is trying to get a handle on the independent mercenaries who are from Branch who in some way is responsible for something.
621: …Branch…? They are… responsible?... Responsible for what?...
With no time to think about this 621 gets back to work as he destroys more of the PCA forces as he does he approach the plant and takes out more of the enemy once done he prepares to destroy the plant but not before spotting another one of those strange machines he downloads the information and gets a sketch that shows three people who 621 guess are the independent mercenaries but it doesn't show the fourth member though after getting the information 621 goes ahead and destroys the plant.
Walter: target destroyed. Our work here is done 621-
Then Ayre alerts 621 of something.
Ayre: … Raven – I'm picking up something in the stratosphere. It's approaching fast.
And just like Ayre said two EKDROMOI arrives and spots 621.
EKDROMOI: Callsign "Raven"… Priority target subject for termination, high the list.
(Astral Chain Legion Assault)
621 begins fighting the special forces of the PCA who starts double teaming him 621 is told by Walter to focus on one target at a time, he does so by attacking the one with the blade first while dodging the other one which fires plasma beams at him but he is successful at taking out his first target.
EKDROMOI 1: one … helluva… merc…
With one destroyed 621 goes for the other one and attacks it too firing his weapons on him to the point he can't keep going anymore 621 then finishes it with a pulse blade.
EKDROMOI 2: no one outruns… the EKDROMOI…
The machine exploded ending the fight and the mission.
(End of music)
Ayre: both PCA SP craft destroyed.
Walter: … I'm sure our pay masters planned for that too. They got there walking advertisement alright.
Ayre: we'll have earned plenty of pay at least. I think we've done enough to inspire other mercenaries to work for Arqubus.
621: … I've got a bad feeling about this…
621 then leaves the area completing the mission, meanwhile with the Liberation Front Forces Eren gets a message from someone he reads it.
Armin: Eren are you okay?
Eren: Armin… this message… it tells me where Mikasa is… and where to find her.
Armin: are you sure you can trust that information it could be a trap.
Eren: I've been on countless missions Armin looking for any info but this might be our only chance to get her back.
Armin: …
Does not say anything but understands why they have to do this they go to get ready save there friend then everything fades to black.

That's another Chapter done Jaune and his team meets Rhodes Island for the first time, 621 takes a mission from Arqubus and complete and finally Eren gets a message on where Mikasa is. Now on to the reviews.
