Episode 142: Enlighten Up!

Mew and her friends continue on their adventure through the Johto Region. They are getting closer to Blackthorn City, where Mew hopes to earn her eighth badge. Soon, the group is surprised to come upon a huge lake.

"Look at that huge lake!" Mew says.

"It's really beautiful!" Misty says.

"Amazing!" Jen says.

": Let's check the guidebook," Brock says, bringing out the guidebook, "It's Lake Slowpoke, but commonly known as Lake Enlightenment."

"Huh? What's that mean?" Tomo wonders.

I wonder if the lake lights up or something.

"Enlightenment? What's that?" Molly asks.

"I don't know," Misty responds.

"Enlightenment means understanding, like when a riddle is solved and the truth is revealed. I think," Brock says.

"It all sounds like a riddle to me," Mew says

"I guess I kinda get it and I, kinda don't," Misty says.

Soon, the familiar laughs of Team Rocket are heard.

Jessie says, ""They don't know what enlightenment means.

"Then maybe it's time we enlighten them!" James says.

"Hey, you! Who is that?!" Mew demands.

And with that, Team Rocket performs the motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble from under the ground!

James:

And make it double with a deafening sound!

Team Rocket bursts out of the hole.

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie:

Enlightened Jessie.

James:

Enlightened James.

Jessie:

All-knowing Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now and face the truth, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

"You guys, again?" Mew questions.

"Now this is strange," Misty says

"You usually don't show up so early in the day," Brock says.

"True, we used to spend our mornings digging holes and waiting around for you to fall into them," Jessie says.

"We've tried that whole dig a hole and wait plan a hundred times and it only worked maybe five," James says.

"But dose five times sure woiked great!" Meowth adds.

Then Jessie explains, "So now, first we dig the hole…"

"Then we wait for you to come along…" James adds

Then Meowth says, "And den we pop out!"

"That's, great," Molly replies, confused.

"Yeah, brilliant," Jen replies.

Then Tomo says, I know, maybe you should dig a hole and stay in it."

Then Wobbuffet appears, "Wobbu." (Good plan!)

Jessie nods her head, "Yes, something to think about." But angrily turns to Wobbuffet realizing he's out of his ball, "Hey! Who asked you?! When I want your opinion, I'll ask for it, now back in your ball!" and recalls him back to the pokeball.

Then Jessie angrily turns to Mew and the others, "Now you made it personal so let's just settle it right here!"

"Yeah!" James says.

"Let's rumble!" Meowth adds.

"Good, I'd love to!" Mew says, bringing out her Pokeball.

However, before either side can draw first, a yellow flag is raised as everyone sees a Slowpoke holding it.

"Slowpoke? The group replies in confusion.

The Pokemon also replies, "Slowpoke?"

Everyone watches as the flag carrying Slowpoke moves between them, hops up onto a rock, turns around and with a gaping, vacant grin, sticks its tail in the water.

"I don't think it's planning on moving," Misty says.

"Wonder why it's here," Jen wonders.

"I'm not sure," Mew says.

Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says, "Slowpoke, the Dopey Pokémon. A Water and Psychic Type. Slowpoke is always lost in thought, though no one knows what it's pondering."

Jessie angrily says to Slowpoke, "Get lost, pea-brain!"

"You're trespassing on our battlefield, bucko!" James says.

"Amscray!" Meowth shouts.

"Hey, you can't do that!" Mew says.

"Yeah! Slowpoke has every right to be here!" Tomo says.

Suddenly, someone shouts, "Stop right there!"

Everyone turns to see a purple dressed nun has shown up.

The nun says, "You're the ones who are trespassing! That happens to be Slowpoke's very favorite spot."

"Hi," Brock happily says.

Then Misty says, "Even if it is Slowpoke's favorite spot…"

"There's nothing special happening there that Slowpoke can't do somewhere else," Jen replies.

"Yes, she's right!" James says.

"Besides, who might you be?" Jessie says.

The nun introduces herself, "My name is Madeleine. And I'm a student training at the Slowpoke Temple right up the road."

"Slowpoke Temple," Mew replies.

"Yes," Madeleine, "Our lives are dedicated to pondering the meaning of existence, the same as this Slowpoke."

"I'm delighted with your existence," Brock happily says.

"But, what's it pondering about?" Molly asks, curiously.

"A Slowpoke's a Slowpoke," Misty says.

"Yes, that's right," Madeleine says, "But this Slowpoke is actually thinking about why it's a Slowpoke."

"I know why," Jessie says.

"Me, too," James agrees.

"Sos it can lay dere lookin' dopey, right?" Meowth says.

"I doubt it," Mew says.

"No, you're missing my point," Madeleine says.

Then turns to Mew, "For example, who are you young lady?"

"Uh, me?" Mew replies.

"Who are you really? What is your true essence?" Madeleine questions.

"My essence. Well um, my name is Mew, but my essence, um. I'm not sure," Mew replies.

Let me try again," Madeleine says, "This creature's name is Slowpoke, but remember that Slowpoke is just a name it was given from birth, so what is its true inner self?

"Okay. I know that I'm Mew, from Pallet Town," Mew says.

"As for me, whenever I think of myself, I just think of Misty," Misty says.

"I'm Tomo," Tomo says.

"Jen," Jen says.

"I'm Molly," Molly says.

Then Brock says, "And I like to think of myself as the young and handsome Brock from Pewter City. Fun, loving and available."

Then Madeleine turns to Team Rocket, "And what about you three?"

Then Jessie begins the motto, "Well, prepare for trouble!"

But James says, "But, we just did that, Jess."

"Oh," Jessie replies, then says, "So, who am I? My name is Jessie the wise and gorgeous."

"And I'm James, the less inflated Team Rocket member," James says.

"And I'm, just Meowth," Meowth says.

Then Madeleine says, "I, like you, have a name, and that's Madeleine. But I still have yet to understand my presence here on our planet. I have spent the last ten years of my life hoping to reach enlightenment.

"Ten whole years?" Mew asks, amazed.

"I'm not concerned at all about the length of time. What's important is the step by step progress that I've made," Madeleine says, "Since it appears none of us have reached enlightenment yet, why don't you all come with me? Maybe you could come to my beloved temple and live and study right alongside me. Or, at least, come for lunch."

"You said lunch?" Team Rocket asks, surprised.

Right on cue, their stomachs start growling.

Jessie happily says, "Let's go."

"We'll go with you and find our true nature," James says.

"Or at least a really good grilled cheese sandwich and some potato chips," Meowth happily says.

"Guys, want to?"

"I don't see why not…" Mew says.

Then Brock says, "Well, as for me, my beauty, I want to grow closer to you step by step!"

"Alright then! Let's head on over there, okay?" Madeleine says.

Later, the two groups arrive at the temple with Madeleine.

"This is the Slowpoke Temple. It's a very old temple, but thousands of people still come here for training," Madeleine says.

As they walk, they see Slowpoke statues.

"Slowpoke everywhere!" Jen says, surprised.

"So, why is it called the Slowpoke Temple?" Misty asks.

"Well, this area has been home to many Slowpoke for generations," Madeleine says, "And hundreds of years ago, a priest achieved enlightenment while meditating with the Slowpoke right on this spot. The temple was built in his honor and named the Slowpoke Temple."

"So a long time ago, someone revealed the truth here?" Brock asks,

"The truth?" Tomo questions.

Madeleine spooks to the right, "Take a look over there."

Everyone looks to the right and finds a giant golden Slowpoke statue.

"That statue stands at the very heart of this temple," Madeleine says.

Jessie says, shocked, "What?!"

"Is that...?!" James asks.

"Made outta, uh, gold?!" Meowth adds, shocked.

They soon get a greedy look in their eyes.

Later, everyone settled down for lunch.

"Please, dig in," Madeleine says.

"Thank you," Madeleine says.

As they eat, some other folks pass by the doorway.

"So, did that group of kids come here to learn about the training?" Misty asks.

Madeleine then turns to Mew, "That's right. By the way, there was someone else studying here from Pallet Town."

"Yeah? Who's that?" Mew asks.

"A nice young man named Gary Oak," Madeleine says.

"Gary? He was here?" Mew asks, surprised.

"He was only interested in studying the most rigorous training possible, challenge training. There's certainly no doubt Gary will become an elite Pokémon trainer one day," Madeleine says.

"That's cool," Mew says.

"Maybe we can try this challenge training?" Tomo asks.

"Sure. It sounds interesting," Mew says.

"Great. Good for you," Madeleine says.

Then turns to Team Rocket, "And what would you three like to do?"

"Training, you mean?" Jessie questions.

Then Team Rocket lean to each other.

"What now?" James asks.

Let's go through the motions until we can grab that gold," Jessie says.

"Dat shiny Slowpoke will shoot us straight to da top of da boss' A-list!" Meowth says.

Jessie turns to Madeleine says, "We're in!"

"I suppose I could attain something," James says.

"Enlighten me!" Meowth happily says.

"You're gonna train, too?" Mew questions.

"You three better not be up to something," Misty angrily says.

Jessie glares at Misty, "What? How dare you!"

"You're not the only one who wants to learn the truth!" James says.

"We do, too!" Meowth says.

"Yeah, sure," Misty replies, not convinced.

"Wobbuffet!" (Believe us!) Wobbuffet says.

Wobbuffet is promptly recalled

"Please. We admit that we may have occasionally gone astray," Jessie says.

"And perhaps made a touch of trouble for you folks," James says.

Jessie says with teary eyes, "It's simply not fair that you as the judge and jury should sentence us so harshly."

James teary says, "And keep your fellow man from the truth!"

"I object!" Meowth says in tears.

"Wow," Mew and her friends reply.

You're right," Madeleine says, "Attaining enlightenment has nothing to do with being good or bad. You can stay here and train as long as your minds allow you."

"Thank you! Hooray!" Team Rocket happily says.

Later, Madeleine shows the group around the training grounds.

"This group is doing a kneeling meditation," Madeleine says.

They look inside to see people are meditating with their Pokemon.

"Wow. People and Pokemon meditating together," Misty says, surprised.

One of the meditators starts to move, only to get smacked by a wooden board.

"Wait a minute. You can't move even if you've got an itch?" Brock asks, shocked.

"The purpose is to master one's mind and eliminate idle thoughts. Try it," Madeleine says."

"You mean, I'm supposed to try and think of nothing at all?" Jessie asks.

"But I've got enough idle thoughts at least the whole room," James says.

"Dat's for sure," Meowth replies.

"I'll give it a try," Mew says.

Soon, everyone settles down and tries it and attempts to clear their minds of everything.

Mew says in thought, "Think of nothing. Think of nothing." and Mew is able to do just that.

Misty finds herself standing on the shore, crying out as a massive legendary Water Pokémon leaps into the ocean, leaving her behind. While Brock is imagining chasing after a pretty girl, only for them both to get smacked.

"Idle thoughts," Misty says.

"Well, that didn't go so well," Brock says.

Tomo and Jen end up receiving the same treatment as the others. All except Molly, but mainly because she's very young and ends up falling asleep.

Team Rocket soon get the same treatment as they scream, "Ow!"

Jessie cries out in anger, "Enough of you and that stick!"

"I had just fallen into a deep sleep!" James says.

"Nobody likes a bully, you know!" Meowth shouts.

"Man, this stuff's a lot harder than I thought," Tomo says.

Jen turns to Mew, "But Mew seems to be doing okay."

"You're right. She's really clearing her thoughts," Misty says.

Indeed, Mew is able to fully clear her mind and is able to do it peacefully.

Madeleine says, "Well then, why don't we move on to the next step?"

Meanwhile, the flag carrying Slowpoke is still at the lake.

Back at the temple, training continues.

"Here is the sight of your next stage of training," Madeline says, "You'll be required to scrub and wax every inch of every hallway throughout the temple."

Everyone is taken aback.

"But, that could take us forever!" Misty says.

"But, my dears, you have all the time in the world to get them perfectly clean. So relax and enjoy," Madeleine says, and walks away.

"Well, my world has just run out of time," James says.

"'So relax and enjoy'?" Madeline says.

"Okay," Meowth says.

"Well then, let's get started," Mew says, and begins to do the cleaning.

And with that, Mew begins to clean as she takes her time and energy.

"That twerpette is doing it slow," Jessie says.

"Yeah! We'll never get things cleaned up at this rate!" Jessie says.

Soon enough, Jessie and James charge forward with the mops.

"Let's go!" Jessie shouts.

"Yeah!" James says.

Meowth follows.

"I wanna help clean, too!" Meowth says.

"Come on, let's race!" Tomo says.

"Yeah!" Jen says.

"Let's go!" Molly says.

Soon, Tomo, Jen, and Molly join Team Rocket in the race.

"Wait, guys!" Mew calls out.

"She said to take our time!" Brock calls out.

Tomo, Jen, and Molly are running as fast as they can, but Jessie and James are able to do it faster.

"Wow. You guys are fast for cleaning!" Jen calls out.

Jessie calls out, "We've had part time jobs!"

"No way you'll be able to beat us at manual labor!" James says.

"Make sense!" Tomo calls out.

Everyone rushes down the hall, turning the corner and turning to the next corner. Tomo, Jen, and Molly are starting to catch up. Tomo then uses a ninja style to run on the wall and take the lead. Soon, Tomo wins first place, shocking Jessie and James.

"I won!" Tomo cheers.

"No! We lost!" Jessie cries out in defeat.

"This cleaning stuff's hard," Jen says.

"At least we got it all done," Molly says.

"Yippee," Meowth says.

Mew, however, is still taking her time with Brock and Misty.

"Hate to burst your bubble, but it's not done, not by a long shot," Mew says.

They all soon hear Madeleine clapping.

"Excellent run, everyone. It was a great race, but…" Madeleine says.

"But?" Everyone, but Mew, Brock, and Misty question.

"Take a look," Madeleine says.

Everyone looks and sees the trails left by each mop.

"Very entertaining, but with all those missed spots, I hardly call it clean. So you'll have to do it all over again," Madeleine says.

"Again?" Tomo and Jessie exclaims.

"There's no time to rest. You have plenty of training yet to go once you're finished with this," Madeleine says.

Everyone groans, "More training?!"

Mew says, "That's what happens when you rush into it. I like to take my time when it comes to cleaning."

Later, everyone is finished cleaning.

Exhausted, Jessie says, "Finished."

"What do we do next?" Meowth asks.

Then James says, "Hello?! Have you forgotten the real reason why we're breaking our battered backs?!"

"Tell me again," Meowth says.

"We're biding our time until the time is right to rob them of that golden Slowpoke," James says.

"Yes, of course!" Jessie remembers, "James and I will make a plan. Meowth, you keep everybody thinking we're legit by training that tail of yours off."

"Yeah! You got it!" Meowth says.

Suddenly, Mew calls out, "Hey."

Everyone shows up.

"Did you finish this hallway yet?" Misty asks

"The whole hall?" James questions.

"Are those, fishing poles?" Jessie asks.

"Yep. I guess we'll be fishing in the next phase of our training," Brock says.

"Maybe we should all go together," Mew says.

But soon, Jessie and James start faking injuries

"Oh! My back!" James cries out.

"Are you okay?" Misty asks.

"All of that cleaning really wore me out," Jessie says.

"My aching everything," James says.

"Dere's no way dese two are in any condition to go fishin'," Meowth says.

"Aw, too bad," Misty says, "We're doing just fine. Guess it's cause we still have our youth!"

Jessie mutters angrily, "That little."

James quietly says, "Calm down, Jess. I think we'll just stay here for a little quiet meditation."

"Okay. See ya," Tomo says.

"You take care now," Brock says.

Soon, the group depearts to the lake.

Jessie and James happily say, "Happy enlightening!"

The twosome soon put their plan into action.

"So, let's carry this baby out," Jessie says.

"Carry it how?!" James asks.

"Oh, these things are always hollow, anyway, so it shouldn't be too difficult," Jessie says, "Oh! I know how!"

Meanwhile, Mew, her friends, Meowth, and Madeleine arrive at the lake and find the Slowpoke still sitting there.

"Wow!" Everyone say, impressed.

"Slowpoke hasn't moved an inch!" Misty says.

Slowpoke soon gets a bite, from a Goldeen.

"Whoa! That Goldeen's huge!" Tomo says, amazed.

But Slowpoke lets the Goldeen go.

"But, it got away," Misty says.

"My dear, the goal is not to catch. The goal is simply to fish," Madeleine says.

Slowpoke soon catches a Magikarp, then a Lanturn.

"But aren't fishin' and catchin' da same?!" Meowth asks.

Misty turns to Madeleine, "I know it's not the goal, but, could I catch one?"

"Do your best," Madeleine says.

Misty happily heads to a rock out on the lake and casts her line, "Fishing is one of my specialties. Time for me to show them what a water Pokemon master can do! Sit back and enjoy the show."

Mew turns to Madeleine and asks, "Hey Madeleine, is it alright if my Slowpokes join us.

"Yeah. Mine too," Tomo asks.

"I don't see why not," Madeleine says.

Misty hears it and says, "That's a good idea."

Tomo and Mew then let out their Slowpoke. Mew lets out both her Slowpoke, and Tomo lets out his Galarian Slowpoke. Misty also lets out her Slowpoke.

Misty waits for a bite, but doesn't get it.

"Not one bite. What's the deal?" Misty says.

"My pole's as empty as I am," Meowth says.

"If we're supposed to be training to fish…" Jen says.

"We're not getting in much training at all," Brock says.

Soon, Slowpoke catches a Gyarados.

Everyone, but Madeleine exclaims, "Gyarados!"

Then Slowpoke lets Gyarados splashes back into the water.

Misty cries in defeat, "That Slowpoke caught a Gyarados, and I can't even catch a cold?!"

Suddenly, Misty turns to see Mew, Tomo, and their Slowpokes are starting to fish some Pokemon, and let them go soon after.

"Hey! What's the big idea?!" Misty cries out.

"We're fishing," Mew says.

"Yeah," Tomo says.

Misty sighs. She turns to see that even her own Slowpoke is able to catch some.

Having enough, Misty shouts, "Hey, Mew! Tomo! Meowth! You all can talk to Pokemon, so go down underwater and talk to em and find out why we're not catching anything!"

Meowth mutters, "She's just as big a nut as Jessie is!"

"Well then, let's go check it out," Mew says.

"Yeah!" Tomo says, excited.

Then Mew comes to Meowth, "You wanna come swim?"

"Eh, why not," Meowth says.

With that, the three dive into the water. Soon, Tomo and Mew's Slowpoke decide to swim down. Soon, the group looks around and soon spots a large amount of Water Pokemon. Curious, Mew and the others decide to ask.

Later, up on the surface.

"Okay, twoips, here's da lowdown. Dose water Pokemon down dere can tell when someone's wantin' to capture em. So dey won't bite down on dose fisherman's hooks," Meowth says.

"But Slowpoke's catching anything that swims. Same with all of ours. Even Mew and Tomo were able fish for them" Misty says.

"Dat's because the Slowpoke has no interest in capturin' any of does water Pokemon. Slowpoke's just here to gain knowledge and da Pokemon know dat dere's no catch!" Meowth says. "They probably figure that the others are thinking the same."

"I think, we're gong back to that idle mind thing again," Brock says.

"So that's what this training's all about," Misty says.

"Yes, that's right," Madeleine says, "You see, this Slowpoke has been working at this for many years. That right?"

Slowpoke confirms as it catches a Shellder.

"Wow! Slowpoke's caught a Shellder!" Brock says.

"Awesome!" Tomo says.

Soon, Mew's Slowpoke and Misty's Slowpoke catch a Shelder as well.

"Look Mew, our Slowpoke has caught one too," Misty says.

"Cool," Mew says.

"So, now, do you see? This is what enlightenment is," Madeleine says.

"It is? Why?" Molly asks.

"In this case, Shellder represents the hopes and dreams we don't fulfill by trying too hard. By training its mind properly, Slowpoke was able to catch Shellder," Madeleine says.

"Wow! Incredible!" Brock says, amazed.

"I guess we owe Slowpoke a big thanks," Mew says.

Meanwhile, at said Temple, the people hear rumbling and suddenly the wall bursts. Revealing that Jessie and James make their getaway with the statue.

"We've swiped your statue, now let us through!" Jessie says.

"Which we've cleverly propped on our bike built for two! Look, Jess! I'm enlightened!" James says.

"See? What can come to those who have no idle thoughts?" Jessie says and laughs, "Oh, please."

Everyone soon hears and notices what's going on.

What's that?" Jen asks.

They all soon see the statue rolling their way.

"Isn't that the Slowpoke Statue," Molly cries out.

"It's heading right toward us," Jen says.

"Look out!" Brock cries out.

"Who did this?!" Madeleine asks, shocked.

Mew glares at Meowth, "Meowth, do you know anything about this?!"

"Sorry, dese lips are sealed," Meowth says, runs towards the statue.

"What's that mean?" Tomo asks.

"I bet it means Jessie and James!" Misty says.

The statue quickly approaches.

"Out of the way!" Brock cries out.

Run!" Mew cires out.

Everyone does so, except for Madeleine and Slowpoke.

"Madeleine! Slowpoke!" Misty cries out.

Jessie and James say, "We're coming through!"

"Watch out!" Everyone cries out.

But Madeleine says, "It's alright. Slowpoke's enlightened now.

Slowpoke stands upright and starts glowing brightly, as does the Shellder on its tail. Soon, Mew and Misty's Slowpoke stand up and perform the same as Slowpoke. Soon, all three have evolved.

"They're Slowbro!" Meowth cries out.

Right on cue, all three Slowpoke gets bigger, along with the Shellder on its tail, before the glow fades and reveals its new form.

"Wow. All three Slowpoke evolved into a Slowbro!" Mew says.

"So, ask me if I care!" Jessie says.

"Better move or it'll be a Slow-pancake!" James says.

Madeleine calls out, "Slowbro, Confusion!"

Slowbro manages to make the statue levitate high above.

"What's going on?!" James panics.

Slowbro demonstrates by moving the statue around with the flag it was holding, shaking Jessie and James out of it until they land on Meowth.

Madeleine then says, "Now, Slowbro, send our statue back to where it came from!"

Slowbro does so, amazing the group.

"Wow!" Misty says.

"Powerful Confusion attack!," Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex, "Way to go, Slowbro!"

Dexter says, "Slowbro, the Hermit Crab Pokemon. A Water and Psychic Type. Slowbro are able to use powerful Psychic attacks but generally prefers to avoid conflict."

"But, don't you think you cut it a little close? What would've happened if Slowbro had evolved even a second later?" Brock asks.

"Well, since Slowpoke has been seeking enlightenment its whole life, I knew exactly what it meant when Slowpoke finally caught that Shellder," Madeleine says, "Slowpoke had finally gotten control of its thoughts, evolving into the wondrous Slowbro you see before you. My trust allowed me to stay. Whether or not you've achieved enlightenment, I know that you still trust your Pokemon and friends in very much the same way, don't you?"

"Well, let me think," Mew says.

They all do so

"Yeah, you're right," Mew says.

"I do," Brock says.

"I do, too," Misty says.

"Yeah!" Tomo, Jen, and Molly agree.

"True enlightenment is nothing more than knowing you can be a little bit better today than you were yesterday," Madeleine says, "And with your dear friends giving you the opportunity to learn to trust in them and then in yourself, you will always move forward no matter what gets in your way. Slowbro has given me a wonderful opportunity to see what I can attain in my life, and you have the same opportunity with each other, so take it, please."

"We will," Mew and her friends reply.

Then Mew turns to her Slowbro, "And in a way, it also helped me understand Slowbro, and Slowpoke."

"I agree," Misty says, patting her Slowbro.

They all turn their attention to an unconscious Team Rocket.

"But, I can still be mad at them, right?" Mew says.

"All this time they were pretending to train, they were doing their usual scheming," Misty says.

"Perhaps a little more training will do them some good," Madeleine says with a chuckle.

Sometime later, Mew and her friends say their farewell to Madeleine and Slowbro. After their enlightening experiences at the Slowpoke Temple, Mew and her friends have a new respect and trust for one another. And now their journey toward the Blackthorn City gym and the Johto League tournament resumes once again.

Meanwhile, back in the temple. James peeks out a window.

Jessie asks, "Still there?"

"Yes," James answers.

"Why won't that Delibird leave us alone, James?" Jessie asks.

"I don't know," James says.

"Turns out, the Team Rocket Delibird is looking for them to collect the debt.

"Now I got idle toughts. How can I rid my mind with that ting squawkin'?" Meowth says.

"Team Rocket sighs before getting smacked by three wooden planks.

"Now, then, are we all ready to try just a little bit harder to empty our minds?" Madeleine asks.

Jessie answers, "My mind is empty, but my legs are numb."

"My tummy's empty and my mind is numb," Meowth says.

Then James asks, "Could this be considered food for thought?"

From the way things are looking, Team Rocket is not going to be able to leave the temple anytime soon.
