Interrogation of One Soul's Beginning

After being taken away by the police, the blue hair boy now without his thief costume and just in his regular school uniform had his picture taken and then he was forced to be taken into a private small room to be "questioned" for his crimes.

Now the scene shows of the boy sitting on a chair with his arms behind him and a needle injection next to him, and the boy does not look so good. And then a man walks up to him.

"Guess the drug was too strong…" The man noticed the boy is sleeping, which is something he can't have right now.

"Wake him up." The man ordered and one-man splash water from a bucket onto the boy's head forcing him to wake up.

"Sorting out the fishes!" The blue hair boy gasped.

The boy soon realizes that he is now in a room with two scary-looking men standing close to the door, one security camera up on the ceiling and another scary-looking man standing close to him.

"No dozing off." The man said.

"W-Where am I?" The boy asked, then realizing his hands have been cuffed which he freaks out.

"You still don't get it, do you? Give it up." The man said and threw a kick to knock the boy down from the chair.

However, the boy suddenly moves his body from the chair to dodge the kick that knocked down the chair.

"Now that's a surprise, you still got some resistance in you, huh?" The man asked, looking a little scary.

"Sir! Don't you know it's rude to kick people when they just woke up?" The boy asked, still feeling a bit scared.

"You idiot! You're the one being interrogated here, so why don't you cooperate or else you'll be in for something painful!" The man angered and threw some punches, but the boy keeps dodging them.

"You do realize you're only making this hard for yourself in this case, you'll be sentence for life if you keep on resistance." The man warned.

"I'm so sorry, my body just moves on its own whenever I'm being in danger!" The boy explained exclaiming.

"(Danger? Why does my head feel like I should know more about that?)" The boy thought asked when he felt the word "danger" ringing in his head while he dodges another punch.

"Uh, is that a camera recording us?" The boy asked, noticing the camera again.

"Huh? What about the camera? Are you thinking it can be used as video evidence?" The man asked with a glare.

"Oh no, I was wondering if that even works. You should make sure it's being maintained properly otherwise it could glitch on you." The boy said.

"Huh? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, but at least you should know…" The man gently grabbed the boy's head.

"That we can as much time with each OTHER!" The man smirked and slammed the boy's head on a wall and kicked him in the stomach.

"Hurt… so much…" The boy groaned in pain and fell on his knees.

"Obstruction of justice, blackmail, defamation, possession of weapons… Manslaughter too, yeah? Talk about the works." The man read the list of crimes this boy has committed.

"To think that all of those crimes were led by a little punk like this. And you seemed to be enjoying every second of it, huh?" The man asked.

"(Enjoying those crimes… I don't remember, my head feels weird.)" The boy thought confused.

"You should know your place." The man stated.

The man gestures his head to one of his co-workers to get the cuffs off, and he does so to let the boy move freely with his hands again and the man held a clipboard with a paper on it.

"Sign here. It's a confession under your name." The man ordered.

"Oh… Okay." The boy took the clipboard.

The man was about to give him the pen to sign his name on it, but then he leans in close with his serious look.

"Don't expect to walk out of here in one piece. We're going to make you understand… One must take full responsibility for their actions." The man grinned and gave the boy the pen.

"(My head still hurts a little, but I can still remember my name.)" The boy thought hoped, writing down his name on the paper.

Iruma Suzuki. That's his name, then hand the clipboard to the man.

"Good, now get back on this chair." The man ordered firmly.

"Yes, sir!" Iruma said and immediately gets back on the chair.

"Sheesh, your files said that you're a hopeless obedient idiot, but this is a little more than what I was expecting." The man sighed.

(Outside the Interrogation Room)

A single business-looking woman is walking down the hallway heading right for the interrogation room where the suspect of the big crimes is being held, and she wants to be the one questioning the suspect. She arrives at the room where one police office and one man in a suit are standing by.

"Excuse me, but this area's off—" The man was about to tell her, but she interrupted him.

"I'm Sae Niijima from the Public Prosecutor's Office." Sae revealed herself.

Sae is a tall and beautiful woman with upper-back length, ashen-brown hair that is asymmetrically parted on her right side and brown eyes that are sometimes depicted with a hint of mauve red. She wears a black business suit with a black turtleneck. Her blazer's cuffs and the lower front have clamshell-like designs. Accessory-wise, she wears a necklace of a section sign (§) which references her judicial occupation (it also appears in the top right of Shujin Academy's emblem), earrings and a few dark hair clips can be seen above her right ear. She has violet fingernails and wears dark gray pantyhose with black high heels. She is sometimes seen with a smartphone and a black bag slung over her shoulder. Breasts size: I-cup.

"The Prosecutor's Office? What business do you have here?" The police detective asked.

"Just let me through; it's urgent. There's something I need to confirm with the suspect." Sae wanted to see the suspect.

"Niijima-san, I believe this case is no longer in your jurisdiction." The police detective said, but just as he was about to talk some more, an older man walks up to them.

"Are you Sae Niijima? I just got off the phone with your director. Hurry and get it over with. To be frank, you're being an inconvenience." The older detective informed while sharing his unease with her.

And then Sae's phone rang with a buzz, she didn't waste any time answering the call already knowing who that is.

"I thought I ordered you to stand by." The SIU Director sighed.

"I'm responsible for this case, yet I'm not even being allowed an interrogation!?" Sae asked, sounding a little upset.

"I'm calling because I knew you'd bring it up." SIU Director stated.

"I will not be convinced unless I confirm it for myself. This is my case!" Sae determined, she will not be put down like this even if her boss were to tell her to back away from this.

"Good luck to you then. I won't be expecting much though…" SIU Director sighed, allowing the woman to go in and ended the call.

"Ah, Prosecutor. I forgot to mention something important. Your time will be cut short. We can't permit you to talk with him for long." The older detective informed.

Sae groans a little, knowing something like this would be the case when it comes to this "dangerous" suspect.

"It's for your own safety. His methods are unknown. After all, we don't even know if it's safe to simply meet and speak with him." The older detective explained the concern.

"…I understand." Sae nodded and walks into the room.

Once inside, she sees the suspect to be a young man looking about the sage of a first-year high school boy sitting on a chair at a table, and she sat down on another chair.

"…I didn't expect it'd be you, Iruma." Sae admitted.

"Hello Sae, I think we met before… When I did those paperwork filings?" Iruma tried to remember, but then feel that headache again.

"Yes, you've been working at multiple jobs before this year, a lot of hard labor for someone so young all because of the lifestyle you were put into." Sae remembered reading that part on his files, but she decided to focus on the task at hand.

"You'll be answering my questions this time." Sae said, then look over to see the injection needle on the floor.

"Bastards…" Sae cursed. She expected those men to go rough on the kid, but this is a low level that she despises.

"Can you hear me? It seems you've been through a lot." Sae concerned.

"I'm okay, just hurt in the head when the man slammed me into a wall and kicked me in the stomach." Iruma mentioned with a painful but causal smile.

"Shit, almost anything can happen here… and I can't stop them." Sae warned which made Iruma flinch.

"That's why I need you to answer me honestly. I don't have much time either." Sae said before beginning her questions.

"What was your objective? Why did you cause such a major incident?" Sae asked.

"(Objective… Major incident… I think I know what that is, but I can't seem to remember most of it…)" Iruma thought puzzled.

"I didn't think it was a prank from the get-go, but I couldn't assemble a case for prosecution. It's because I couldn't figure out the method behind it." Sae said.

"That's understandable since the method is strange." Iruma nodded.

"True. There's no way I could be convinced of such a… "world" just by reading the reports." Sae agreed.

"It seems you're coherent." Sae commented.

"Coherent?" Iruma confused of the word, but Sae just ignores that.

"When and where did you find out about that world? How is it even possible to steal another's heart? Now, tell me your account of everything. Start from the very beginning." Sae asked, ready to listen.

"(From the beginning. I think it happen…)" Iruma thought started to recall and then a white-blue butterfly appears flying around him.

"…You are held captive. A prisoner of fate to a future that has been sealed in advance." The mysterious butterfly said.

"Prisoner… of fate?" Iruma confused.

"This is truly an unjust game… Your chances of winning are almost none. But if my voice is reaching you, there may yet be a possibility open to you… I beg you. Please overcome this game… and save the world. They key to victory lies within the memories of your bonds-the truth you and your friends grasped." The mysterious butterfly said.

"The truth…" Iruma started to feel a sense of familiarity from this.

"It all began that day… when the game was started half a year ago. For the sake of your world's future… as well as your own… you must remember…" The mysterious butterfly said and flies off then disappear.

"That's right, the beginning… I remember half a year ago when I was riding on a train." Iruma started to remember everything, how his adventure started on that day.

(Half a Year Ago)

Iruma gasps when he woke up from a nap he was having, he finds himself on the train heading for the town he is going to.

"(That's right, I'm going to be living somewhere else. Not that that news to me, but this is also different… Because of that night.)" Iruma thought looked sad upon remembering that night.

(Flashback)

The scene shows of a woman being forced by a drunken man trying to force his way onto her, but it's clear that she didn't want to go do things with him.

"Please! Help!" The woman begged.

Iruma walks up to the man with a hand on his shoulder hoping to talk him down, but the man pushes the hand off only to cause his balance to shift and fell hard that got his forehead bleeding.

"Damn brat… I'll sue!" The man angered.

Then Iruma is taken away by two police officers.

(Flashback End)

"(I don't know how it ended up like this.)" Iruma thought confused.

"What? Are you for real? A mental shutdown?" A random girl asked shock which got Iruma's attention.

"It's the truth." Another random girl said.

"To a person's thoughts? That's gotta be a joke. You really love all that occult stuff, don't you?" The first girl laughed.

Iruma didn't know what those two were talking about and decided to just mind his own business, then he gets off the train making his way to a business street while looking at his new IPhone.

"I never used a phone like this before, but I think I've gotten the basic down with the map." Iruma said to himself.

But then a weird app suddenly showed up on his phone, it looks like a red eyeball with some black stuff covering most of the screen.

"A new app?" Iruma wondered what this could be as he taps into it but doesn't appear to be doing anything until, he notices everything around him have freeze like time itself has stopped.

"Wh-What's going on? Why is everything still?" Iruma asked scared a little.

He looks around and saw a big blue flame appearing nearby and that blue flame shapes into a figure with glowing eyes, and then that figure is replaced with Iruma but this one has yellow eyes.

Iruma gasp and saw everything is moving again and everyone is acting like they've never noticed the weird thing; he hopes it was just an illusion.

"I don't know what's going on here… But I think I should delete this app!" Iruma said, trying to remember how to delete something and then remove the weird app from his phone.

"Better keep moving before something else happens." Iruma hoped to get there fast.

"Excuse me, could you help me with carrying this into the trunk?" A random man asked, gesturing to a large box next to him and a red car.

"Okay!" Iruma said, hurrying over.

"(Damn it, curse my life of not saying no!)" Iruma thought cursed himself.

(Later)

"Thank you for helping me get up the stairs, young man. My legs have been feeling aching lately." The short old lady thanked while being carried on Iruma's back.

"It's my pleasure, ma'am." Iruma said while carrying her two big bags.

"I should be okay on my own." The old lady bowed to Iruma and walk off.

"With that done, I should meet up with Sojiro Sakura. He's the one who will be taking care of me starting today and lucky for me, I know where he is right now." Iruma smiled and walked through the street.

Iruma arrives in front of a door with the banner sign above saying the name of this place is "Leblanc" and the sign on the door is open.

"Glad to see this place is still open." Iruma said before walking in.

"A public transit bus was driven down an opposing lane with its customers still in it! The citizens can't live in peace if this keeps up." The news channel announced.

"How frightening." Elderly man commented.

"What could be going on? Didn't something similar happen just the other day?" Elderly woman recalled.

"And down is… the name of a shellfish used in pearl farming…" The male manager focused on his crosswords puzzle than the news.

"Hello, Mr. Sakura." Iruma greeted, getting the man's attention.

"Oh, Iruma! You're here. They did say that was today." Sojiro realized as he put his newspaper down.

Sojiro is a middle-aged man. He has slicked-back dark hair with a receding hairline, gray eyes, a chinstrap beard with a goatee that flares out and wears glasses. He wears a pale pink dress shirt with sleeves rolled up, pale khakis held up with a white leather belt and white loafers. While working at Leblanc, he wears a black apron with a white pinstripe design on it and has his pants legs folded up to mid-calf.

"We'll be going now. The payment's on the table." Elderly man said as he and his wife stood up from their table.

"Thanks for coming." Sojiro thanked.

"This place is in the back alley, so there's no worries for a car crashing in here." Elderly man believed, this confuses Sojiro and Iruma.

"There's been a string of those rampage accidents, you know. I just hope that none happen around here." Elderly man explained.

"That's none of my concern." Sojiro said.

"Haha, we'll see you next time." Elderly man smiled then the two elders leave.

"…Four hours for just a single cup of joe." Sojiro sighed, hoping those elders order a little more next time.

"I'm sure your coffee was amazing as ever, Mr. Sakura." Iruma complimented.

"Maybe, and didn't I tell you to just call me Boss. I don't like to address that formal." Sojiro reminded him of that.

"(Oh man, just what happened to you, kid?)" Sojiro thought wondered worry.
