Hey ! Dunno why felt like writting this after watching IEGCS again. I just love Saryuu scheming.
So far things were going ok. Saryuu was monitoring Raimon's success through time to ensure that soccer would still exist and their power would still come to exist. This time they were in the fairytale of King Arthur. Saryuu had the next steps figured it out. He had Zanark on his side now, a strong and valuable Second Stage Child. He wanted to end it once and for all with El Dorado's little plan of destroying soccer and he was sure Tenma, his counterpart in the good would be all in with that.
Saryuu really saw a lot of himself in Tenma. And it wasn't just because they were obviously related. No, it was because Tenma was the leader of Raimon. Tenma was the bright light that Saryuu had always wanted to be. He was fighting bravely and fiercely with his companion against El Dorado. But what stroke him the most was Tenma's joy and naivety, his confidence that everything would turn out great in the end. Yes, Tenma was still a child, they all were. But while Saryuu had the title of Second stage child, nothing was childish about him. Oh how he just wished he could afford the luxury of being like Tenma, innocent and pure and full of love.
Saryuu was actually an adult, he had to be one to lead HIS kids. He was tainted by the darkness and disgusting aspect of this world. So Saryuu was in hunger for the sweet light of Tenma, he felt an urge to protect him and keep him shiny. But he was not sure it was going to be possible.
Indeed, Saryuu could see in each of the player of the Raimon the Second Stage potential and was worried that El Dorado might be tempted to directly edit their genes or even easier to kill them. Though he dismissed the second option as it could impact the future temporal line too much.
Yes Saryuu felt like the next step was to edit and remove early Second stage genes in them. He had checked out the facilities of the Fifth Sector. This whole mascarade to control matches' result in advance was so they could keep the genes tuned down and undeveloped. The Fifth Sector's facilities were actually a lab so they would understand better Second stage potential and in doing so eliminate it easier. Heck, even this alien story further in the past with the Alius Academy destroying soccer clubs was an another attempt to mess with the temporal line to avoid development of second stage genes.
Saryuu understood this would not go on forever. At the same time, his armed fight couldn't either. He could feel the doubt each time they went at war and destroyed buildings. His second stage children were doubting the effectiveness of these methods. He knew this to be working but with the way their clock were ticking he could understand why the others were doubting it.
That's why he needed Raimon on his side. With them everything could just go faster. He would shield them from being edited out of their future genes and confound El Dorado in the press using them. Yes, Saryuu wanted to throw a big soccer tournament Ragnarok which would decide the fate of the war. And he wanted Raimon to fight with him against the oppressor. That would also entice El Dorado to accept as it wouldn't be unbeatable second stage children fighting them.
Saryuu was not stupid in the least. He knew that winning Ragnarok would not make El Dorado back down and apologize and give him free reign over the world. But he needed a switch in the public opinion. And people are dumb, easily captivated by soccer. Leaving dull lives only to be entranced by a soccer game. And imagine a soccer game supposed to change the fate of the world (even though it's only on the paper).
So far El Dorado had fought with soccer against Raimon. And this was such an advantageous deal to them. With Fader saying they will capitulate if they lost the tournament. This would terminate Fader if they lost because Saryuu had heard from Supporter X that they had developed way to erase second stage genes. Saryuu just knew that Supporter X was dying to use this on his kid, take him home and call it a day, with Saryuu never giving back his memories as a Second stage child to Fey.
Saryuu knew he had to keep Supporter X on his side as long as possible. And for this he knew he had to bow to whatever Supporter X thought was best for his son. He actually had a far better chance at keeping him on board if he complied to his wishes. He would definitely trade 10 Feis for one Supporter X. But what he also knew is that Supporter X wanted all this conflict to quiet down and would ultimately pick El Dorado's side and get rid of Saryuu first chance he gets.
Yes Saryuu was a liability for him, knowing about his son and his double agent tendencies. Saryuu was a convenient placement for short term but future-wise El Dorado was the best pick. All the more since Saryuu came with a fast expiry date. But he actually had the future figured out. Everything will fall into place, that's Second Stage Children intelligence for you. Meia and Giris were not the only geniuses here.
Saryuu knew the perfect way to manipulate Supporter X after conceding on his son. His ambition and his wife...
Saryuu and Supporter X were in Fader's library. Supporter X or Asurei Rune was informing him about El Dorado's latest development of a vaccine to erase second stage genes. Saryuu had just agreed to have him use it on Fey and to never give him back his Second stage memories.
"But even with that we are not sure El Dorado won't found out about your dearest son, Asurei. And if they figured you lied to them and were a mole this whole time you both will end up dead."
Asurei looked conflicted at Saryuu's perfectly logical argument.
"Is this like another insurance for me to stay on your side no matter what? You are not the type to rat out people to El Dorado Saryuu. I certainly don't know how all of this will turn out...but I'm sure we can cohabitate humans and second stage children...you are human like us too. Even you could all take the vaccine and save yourselves the short live span."
Saryuu furrowed his brows. Asurei was taking him for a Tenma, thinking the world is full of roses and peace and love and soccer-playing dinosaurs.
"Save the naive bullshit for your son eh Asurei. We both know that El Dorado will kill me no matter what. We both know that Second stage children will probably be either killed like me or captured and experimented on by El Dorado. This vaccine will only be administered to future generation of Second stage children before their awakening. So they would live without even knowing they had those genes. Your son would be the only one to benefit from it and you know it."
Asurei looked torn, he had pissed off Saryuu and he knew it was not a good thing. He was speechless.
"..."
"Actually, it's not such a naive view, to believe that us and normal humans could live side by side, that Fader and El Dorado could collaborate in peace..."
Asurei looked up stunned at Saryuu not seeing his point.
"But for that...we would need a new leader for El Dorado, that shares this view with a passion, that experienced Fader's pain and burden...personally"
"What you want me to lead El Dorado"
Saryuu looked straight at Asurei dead in the eyes.
"This would be the perfect way to protect your son, humanity and Second stage children Asurei. And I know you have always had crazy ambitions, after all you are already a higher up of El Dorado. Hmm if some higher than you happened to die in this fight...lets say the president of El Dorado, the vice president, hmmm you would be next in line. They will be scared of stepping up for power if I kill the president and VP, and some more people on the administration board of El Dorado and you will be perfect."
It looked as if Saryuu was giving Asurei a migraine with his devious plot. He sighed.
"Look I don't even know even then if they would choose me as the next leader of El Dorado. I don't know how you plan on killing them also they are among the most protected people on the planet and you cannot count on me for that. I don't even know if I want them dead."
Saryuu felt a spark of anger. This guy refused to see all the benefits of his plans.
"We are talking about people who are hunting down children and capturing them to kidnap them and do experiment on them, just because of advantageous genetics. Those people are the reasons why Fey think you abandoned him. Any normal person, second stage or not, wants those type of demons eliminated from the surface of the world. Just take the lead Asurei. I will deal with their disposal. Also if you are chief of El Dorado...you could use time travel for let's say personal benefit...Who is to say that you couldn't revive your wife..."
Asurei's eyes opened.
"What are you talking about?"
Saryuu smiled.
"You have always been full of ambition and wanted to protect your family. I'm giving you both what else are you asking me for. By becoming El Dorado's leader you can use it to save your wife and son and enable world peace with striking a deal with us SSC."
Asurei nodded, being leader of El Dorado he could time skip to revive his latest wife which was un-allowed for even higher ups, but he could bent it being the leader...
"But really how will you proceed with their disposal?"
Saryuu laughed.
"That's easy my dear, with Ragnarok !
Saryuu was going out of the vegetation of King's Arthur fairytale, walking towards Tenma and Aoi. His plan was perfect. He had already had an approval from El Dorado that they accepted his big tournament to end it all. Once he wins it and El Dorado refuses the term of the contract he will kill the higher ups using unsuspected SSC powers he has kept under his sleeve.
"Hello Tenma ! My name is Saryuu Evans !"
Aoi, shocked, exclaimed.
"Woah you two really look like each other !"
Saryuu grinned hearing this looking at Tenma's inquisitive look. His magnificent violet eyes not unlike his. Except his were even prettier. Saryuu's eyes were darkened by his life but Tenma's were sparkling and shinning light and life through them. And just imagine people of the world seeing Tenma's light fighting for him and winning for him. His counterpart untainted and pure, destroying evil would put most people on his side. And it would put Saryuu at rest.
To finally see himself absolute, chaste, devoid of bloodlust, victorious and full of light and hope for humanity.
Looking at that perfect boy in the eyes, connecting to his soul. Saryuu finally realised what he missed.
It was Tenma Matsukaze.
And just as Tenma was about to say something to him. Something that would have been like music to Saryuu's ears he was sure.
He disappeared.
Teleported by El Dorado.
All of Raimon.
Gone...
Saryuu, just robbed of his newly found light thought in cold rage.
'Well now I have to kill everybody...'
Heyyyyyy! I definitely have ideas using the vampire and werewolf clans in Inazuma eleven with Saryuu. They feel so underused in IEGCS. Feel free to write reviews if anybody reads this at all XD.
