Our heroes are still on their way to Hulbury and are almost there, but before they get there they stop in front of a house
"What is this house?" Roan asked.
"It's a Pokémon Nursery," Chloe replied
"How does she even know that?" Roan asked.
"Chloe knows a lot," Ash said.
"You're right," Roan said
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"I might know because the sign here says," Chloe said, as she pointed to the sign.
"Oh, yeah, that makes sense," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
"I've never been in a Pokémon Nursey before, I'm kind of curious what's going on in there," Roan said.
"Me too," Chloe said.
"Let's go inside and ask if maybe we can get a tour," Ash said
"The three trainers entered the Nursey, but there was no one in sight.
"I don't see anyone, Chloe said.
Maybe we should call someone then, Roan said.
"Hello is anyone there! Ash shouted.
But there was not answer. Suddenly a Jolteon came running towards the trio. "Jolt, Jolt," Jolteon barked.
"A Jolteon," Roan said.
"Is it just me or does that Jolteon look familiar too you guys?" Chloe asked.
"Yeah, I recognize that Jolteon," Ash said.
"How can I help you?" A voice asked.
The three trainers recognized the voice, they turned and saw Cody standing there.
"Cody?" Ash said.
"Ash, Roan, Chloe, What are you doing here?" Cody asked.
"We wanted a tour of the Nursey," Chloe said.
"What are you doing here?" Roan asked.
"This is my home, this Nursey belongs to my family," Cody replied.
A woman approached. Cody, what's going on? And who are all these people?" She asked.
"Mom, these are friends I met on my trip, Ash, Roan and Chloe," Cody said, "And this is my mother Clara."
"Hello," Ash said.
"Nice to meet you," Chloe greeted.
"Hello, ma'am," Roan said.
"It's nice to meet you too, Cody has already told me a lot about you," Clara said.
"Only good things," Cody said.
"You have a nice Pokémon Nursey," Chloe said.
"Thank you," Clara said.
"We were kind of hoping we might get a tour, but if it's possible we understand," Ash said.
"Normally we don't give tours, but you're friends of Cody, so we make an exception for you," Clara said.
"Thank you," Ash said.
"Cody, I have some business in the back, please give the tour," Clara said.
"Sure, mom," Cody said.
Clara nodded her head and walked back to the back.
"Come along then I'll give you a tour of the place, Cody said.
"The three friends followed Cody and his Jolteon.
"Your mother seems very nice," Chloe said.
"Thank you for saying that, she is also very nice," Cody said.
"What exactly are you doing here?' Roan asked.
"Just about everything, my mom takes care of Pokémon when they are sick, Some trainers leave their Pokémon here for a time and my dad trains them, Cody explained. And my uncle helps take care of the eggs.
"You have Pokémon eggs here too?" Roan asked.
"Yes," Cody said.
"I have never seen a Pokémon Egg, could I go to your uncle's place to see them?" Roan asked.
"Sure, I'll take you there," Cody said.
"Cool," Roan said.
"The three trainers followed Cody to where the Pokémon eggs were being cared for, on the way they met a young boy. Who are these people?" He asked.
"These are Ash, Roan and Chloe they are friends of mine," Cody said. "Guys, this is Dustin, my little brother."
"Nice to meet you," Chloe said to Cody's brother
"Are you guys also wanting to participate in the Galar-League too?" Dustin asked.
"I'm trying," Ash said.
"You think you have a chance against my brother?" Dustin asked.
"I respect your brother, but I will do everything in my power to win the League," Ash said.
"That won't happen, my brother will be the next Galar Champion," Dustin said.
"Oh Dustin," Cody said, feeling a bit embarrassed by his brother's comment.
"You are the best there is Cody, you will beat everyone and you will be champion," Dustin said.
"You got a fan," Roan said.
"My little brother is my number one fan," Cody said.
"Is that your Pikachu?" Dustin asked Ash.
"Yeah," Ash replied.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Is he strong?" Dustin asked.
"Ash's Pikachu very strong," Cody said.
"So you fought his Pikachu?" Dustin asked.
"Yes," Cody said.
"Cody was a good opponent," Ash said.
"And who won the battle?" Dustin asked.
"Cody won," Ash said.
"You see, you have no chance against my brother, he will beat you in the League," Dustin said.
Dustin enough now, Ash is a good trainer and the fight was close, I could have easily lost to him," Cody said.
"But you didn't, you won," Dustin said.
"And you want to take part of the Galar-League someday?" Ash asked.
"When I'm old enough and hope to compete against my brother, who will then be champion," Dustin said.
"Or maybe against the person then who will be champion," Roan said.
"Or you'll compete against me," Ash said.
"No, against my brother, he will be champion of Galar," Dustin said.
"Dustin, we're on our way to Uncle Mitchell now, to see the eggs," Cody said.
"I'm was heading that way to, so I'm coming with you," Dustin said.
Now with Cody's little brother tagging along, the four trainers headed to a big shed.
"Hello Uncle Mitchell," Cody said.
"Cody, the future champion of Galar," Mitchell said.
"Uncle Mitchell," Cody said.
"And who are these people?" Mitchell asked, pointing the Ash and his friends.
"Uncle Mitchell, these are Ash, Roan and Chloe, they are friends I met on my journey," Cody said.
"Nice to meet you," Roan said.
"It's nice to meet you, too," Mitchell said.
Cody's uncle wasn't paying attention and accidentally knocked one of the eggs off the table, but luckily Pikachu caught it in time.
"Good catch," Mitchell said.
"Pikachu", Pikachu.
Uncle Mitchell took the egg back and put it safely back in its place and took a look at Pikachu. This "Pikachu looks good, he looks very strong," he said.
"Thank you, this is my Pikachu," Ash said.
"Then you have trained him well young man," Mitchell said.
"Before my uncle cared for Pokémon eggs, he was a Pokémon breeder," Cody said.
"He was?" Chloe asked.
"One of the best in Galar," Cody said.
"Whose Yamper is that over there," Mitchell asked.
"Yamp?" Yamper barked.
"He's mine," Chleo said.
"Might inspect him?" Mitchell asked.
"Sure, go to the man, Yamper," Chloe said.
Yamper walked up to Uncle Mitchell and he began to inspect Yamper.
"Nice teeth, coat looks well cared for and he Yamper has a good weight, I can tell by your Yamper that you are a good trainer," Mitchell said.
"Thank you, that's nice of you to say that," Chloe said.
"You take good care of him," Mitchell said. "Do you make his food?"
"Yes, I do," Chloe said. "All the food I make is perfect for humans and Pokémon."
"And it's very good," Ash said.
"And healthy, too," Roan said.
"Young lady have you ever thought of perhaps becoming a Pokémon breeder," Mitchell said.
"No, I've actually never thought about that," Chloe said.
"You would be a natural and if you would consider it, I would be willing to train you," Mitchell said.
"I don't know what I want to be yet, but if it says so, I might consider becoming a Pokémon breeder," Chloe said.
"Uncle Mitchell, my friends wanted to take a tour here and learn more about the eggs," Cody said.
"I'd be happy to give you a tour, just follow me," Mitchell said.
Mitchell stood up and began giving Ash and his friends a tour.
"As you can see, we take care of a lot of eggs here," Mitchell said.
"Whoa, there must be over 1,000 of them," Roan said.
"Have you guys ever had a Pokémon egg?" Mitchell asked.
"I've had a few," Ash said.
"I was there when this Yamper and his brothers and sisters hatched from their eggs," Chloe said.
"I've never seen a Pokémon egg," Roan said.
"And how do you guys get those eggs?" Chloe asked.
"Sometimes two Pokémon that are here can suddenly have an egg, Eggs are brought here and sometimes we find an egg in the wild," Mitchell explained.
"In the wild? How is that possible?" Roan asked.
"Mothers that have lost the egg, that doesn't happen often, but when it happens we take care of the egg here," Mitchell said.
"What happens to those eggs that hatch?" Roan asked.
"We help them get stronger first and then we give them to trainers, especially novice trainers who want to start their journey and don't necessarily want one of the Galar Starters as their first Pokémon," Mitchell said.
Ash walked over the an egg that was hooked up to monitors. "And what about this egg?"
"Don't touch it, that egg is mine, I found it and once it's hatched it will become my Pokémon," Dustin said.
"But that's going to take a while, Dustin, let's continue with the tour," Mitchell said.
Mitchell proceeded to give the tour to Ash and his friends while they were spied on by Team Rocket.
"Oh no, not that twerp again," Jessie said.
"He's not as annoying as the others," James said.
"Forget the twerps, have you seen how many Pokémon eggs are in there," Meowth said.
"That's a lot of Pokémon eggs," James said.
We have to steal them," Meowth said.
"Think how much those eggs could be worth," James said.
"We'll start a market and sell them to trainers," Jessie said.
"Or we'll give the eggs to that boss," Meowth suggested.
"To the boss?" Jessie and James asked.
"Yes, that would be a perfect gift," Meowth said.
"Tell your idea Meowth," James said.
"This is how I would envision it," Meowth said.
Team Rocket fantasy:
Meowth: Imagine, the boss is having trouble finding new Pokémon for Team Rocket, but then we give him all these eggs, from the moment they hatch they will be trained in the perfect Team Rocket program. Eventually those Pokémon will become the strongest Pokémon Team Rocket has ever had, and the boss will be so happy with that that he will say.
Giovanni: Thanks to Meowth and his friends, I now have a whole supply of strong Team Rocket Pokémon and for this I will reward them handsomely.
"A reward!" Jessie cheered.
"But what will it be?" James said.
"Money, a lot of money," Jessie said.
"Promotion, a big promotion," James said.
"No, he will name that egg training method after us," Meowth said.
"We'll become Team Rocket Legends," Jessie cheered.
Wobbuffet came out of its Pokéball. "Wobbuffet," he cried.
"Come we must, go before anyone sees us here," James said.
"Yes and make our egg-catching machine," Jessie said.
"Because the sooner the boss gets those eggs," James said.
"The better for us," Meowth said.
After touring the egg breeding facility and the rest of the Pokémon Nursey, Ash and his friends had lunch with Cody and his family.
"Lunch is ready," Clara said.
"This looks delicious again dear," Cody's father said.
"Thank you, but I can't take all the credit, I also had help from Chloe here, even though I shouldn't have, since you are guests here," Clara said.
"It was the least I could do to thank you for the tour of your beautiful Pokémon Nursery," Chloe said.
"Dig in, everyone," Clara said.
Ash, Cody has told us you want to join the Galar League," Cody's dad said.
"That's right," Ash said.
"And how many badges do you have?" Dustin asked.
"One badge," Ash said. "And you Cody, how many badges do you have?"
"I only have one too, but I have my second one soon in once I'm in Hulbury," Cody said.
"That's where we're headed, I'm going for my second one there too," Ash said.
"And Ash how long did it take you to get your first badge?" Dusitn asked.
"After my second time, the first time Milo had beaten me," Ash said.
"You see, Cody is a better trainer than you, he beat Milo in one go," Dustin said.
"Dustin," Cody said.
"And he'll beat Nessa in one too, His Electric Pokémon will beat her Water Pokémon easily.
"Dustin what did we thought you about underestimating Pokémon," Clara said.
"That I shouldn't, because they can always surprise you," Dustin said.
"Exactly," Clara said.
'Still, I think you are better than him," Dustin said.
"Dustin does look up to Cody a lot," Clara said.
"That's a typical younger brother thing, we look up to our big brothers, I say that myself as someone who is a younger brother," Roan said.
Half an hour later and everyone was done eating, Mitchell had already gone back to the egg farm, Cody's parents brought the dishes to the kitchen and went to do the dishes.
"Ash how about a fight against Cody, I'd like to see how good you are," Dustin said.
"I'm in for it," Ash said. "You Cody?"
"I'm up for a fight, let's see how hard you've been training," Cody said.
"Oh, I've been training," Ash said.
"But you don't stand a chance against my brother," Dustin said.
"Pikachu I'm not going to use you for this battle this time," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
Ash, Roan, Chloe, Cody and Dustin walked towards the battlefield. Pikachu jumped of Ash's shoulder and stood next to Roan and watched from the sidelines.
"One on one battle, same as last time, whose Pokémon is unable to battle loses the match, Chloe said. "I will be the referee again."
Ash and Cody both moved to one side of the battlefield, Roan, Chloe and Dustin stood on the sidelines.
"Come on, Cody you can easily beat him," Dustin said.
"Show him what you got," Ash, Roan said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"Okay, choose your Pokémon," Chloe said.
Ash and Cody both grabbed a Pokéball.
"Ready Ash?" Cody asked.
"Bring it on," Ash said.
Okay Electrike, time for battle, Cody said, as he summoned his Electrike.
He's got an Electrike, let's see what we can find out about that, Ash said, as he grabbed his Rotom-Phone.
Electrike, an Electric type canine Pokémon, It stores static electricity in its fur for discharging. It gives off sparks if a storm approaches.
"Cody uses Electric types, so with you I have an advantage," Ash said. "Grookey I choose you!"
Ash threw his Pokéball and Grookey got out. "Grookey."
"A Grookey, I see you've caught a new Pokémon since the last time we saw each other, Cody said.
"Same to you, that Electrike is also a new team member of yours," Ash said.
That's right and this one has a real fighter sprite," Cody said.
"Same goes for my Grookey, he won't give up easily," Ash said.
"Who will make the first move?" Chloe asked.
"Since you are a guest here Ash, you may make the first move, Cody said.
"All right, let the battle begin," Chloe said.
"Grookey use BRANCH POKE!" Ash commanded.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
"Dodge the attack and use THUNDER FANG," Cody commanded.
Electrike managed to dodge Grookey's attack and was ready to use his Thunder Fang on him.
"That Electrike is fast," Ash said. "Quick, Grookey use your stick to stop the attack.'
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
Electrike came at Grookey and was about to bite, but Grookey used his stick you block the attack.
"Elec," Electrike barked.
"Good job, Grookey," Ash said.
"Grookey," Grookey chattered
"Grookey let go of your stick and use your SCTRACH," Ash commanded.
Grookey nodded his head, he released his wand and scratched Electrike hard in the face.
"Electrike," Electrike cried.
"Oh no," Cody said.
"Smart move, Ash," Roan said.
"Come on, Cody you can't give up yet," Dustin said.
"Electrike, use your SWIFT," Cody commanded.
"Electrike," Electrike barekd.
"Grookey dodge it," Ash commanded.
But it was too late and Grookey was hit hard by Electrike's Swift attack.
"Grookey!" Grookey chattered.
'No, Grookey!" Ash said.
"All right, Cody, beat him," Dustin said.
"Well done, Electrike," Cody said.
"Elec, Electrike," Electrike barked.
"Grookey are you alright?" Ash asked.
Grookey sat up. "Grookey," he chattered, giving Ash a thumbs up.
"Good because we are nowhere near ready to give up, right?" Ash said.
"Groo," Grookey chattered.
Ash was about to give Grookey a command, but he didn't get the chance because Mitchell came running out.
"It's terrible," Mitchell said.
"What's wrong Uncle Mitchell?" Cody asked.
"Someone is stealing the eggs," Mitchell said.
"What?" Cody said.
"Who would do something like that?" Dustin said.
"Oh, I already know who's behind this," Roan said.
Team Rocket's balloon appeared and there was a device attached to it where the Pokémon was grabbing the eggs and putting them in a bag.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie said.
"And make it double!" James said.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said.
"To unite all people within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said.
"Jessie!" Jessie said.
"And James!" James said.
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said.
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!" Cried Wobbuffet.
"Those idiots again," Cody said.
"Unfortunately," Cody,
"Give those eggs back immediately!" Mitchell demanded.
"I don't think so, these eggs now belong to Team Rocket," Meowth said.
"Those eggs don't belong to you!" Cody said.
"And by your action you are disrupting everything, you have no idea what you are doing to those eggs," Mitchell said.
"Give them back now or else," Ash said.
"Or else what?" Jessie asked.
"Pikachu, get ready," Ash said.
"Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"No, Ash, you cannot use attacks, You will permanently damage the eggs," Chloe said.
"I don't want that," Ash said.
"We have to come up with something else to defeat Team Rocket and get the eggs back," Roan said.
"Then Dustin saw his egg being taken by Team Rocket's machine. My egg!" He shouted.
"No, Dustin!" Cody shouted.
"Out of my way, you little twerp," Meowth said.
Meowth pressed a button on the machine and one of its mechanical hands knocked Dustin away.
"You'll regret that Team Rocket! Nobody messes with the eggs and nobody hurt my little brother!' Cody said.
"You can't do anything, every attack you will use against us will damage your precious eggs," James said.
"So in other words you can't do anything to us," Meowth said.
"So we won," Jessie said.
"We have all the eggs," Meowth said.
"Time to go," James said.
"They're getting away," Roan said.
Mitchell took a Pokéball from his pocket and threw it. "Now Indeedee!"
A female Indeedee appeared, "Indeedee."
"What kind of Pokémon is that? Roan asked, he took his Rotom-Phone from his pocket and opened the Pokédex-app
Indeedee, the Emotion Pokémon. A Psychic and Normal type. Indeedee are highly intelligent, sensing emotions through the horns on their heads. Male Indeedee are loyal to their Trainers, and female Indeedee are skilled babysitters.
"Indeedee use PSYCHIC and stop that balloon!" Mitchell commanded.
"Indee," Indeedee cried.
Indeedee used her attack and stopped Team Rocket's balloon before they had a chance to fly away.
"Hey what's happening?" Jessie asked.
"How can we be standing still?" James said.
"It's because of them and that Pokémon they're using!" Meowth pointed out.
"Ash, can your Grookey use RAZOR LEAF?" Mitchell asked.
"Yes, he can," Ash said.
"Well use it on the bag the eggs are in, cut that rope," Mitchell said.
"But then the eggs will fall down," Ash said.
"Trust me kid, Me and Indeedee will make sure nothing happens to those eggs," Mitchell said.
"All right then," Ash said. "Grookey use RAZOR LEAF!"
"Grookey," Grookey chattered.
Grookey used his attack on Team Rocket's balloon and the leaves cut the ropes and the bag of eggs fell down.
"The eggs!" Team Rocket yelled.
"Indeedee now use your PSYCHIC to bring those eggs safely!" Mitchell ordered.
"Indeedee!" Indeedee cried.
Indeedee used her Psychic attack and brought the eggs safely to the ground. Cody ran to his little brother and helped him up.
"Dustin is everything okay?" Cody asked.
"Yes, I'm fine," Dustin said. "Are the eggs safe?"
"They're safe now," Cody said.
"We've to deal with those thieves," Dustin said.
"I will handle those thiefs," Cody said, he got up and walked to the rest. "You three, it's time for you to pay!"
"Oh, no, Jessie said.
"I already know what this is gonna look like for us," James said.
"Not good," Meowth said.
"I didn't expect anything less," Jessie said.
"Pikachu use THUNDERBOLT and Grookey use RAZOR LEAF!" Ash commanded.
"Yamper use NUZZLE!" Chloe commanded.
"Electrike also use your THUNDERBOLT and Jolteon use your SWIFT!" Cody commanded.
The 5 Pokémon used their attacks and launched them toward Team Rocket. An explosion of the balloon followed and Team Rocket was shot into the air.
"And once again one of our plans prevented by those pesky little twerps," James said.
"And finally we came this close to having our plan succeeded," Jessie said.
"But as usual, the Universe is against us," James said.
"You know what else is usual," Meowth said.
"That we're blasting off again," James replied.
"That's right," Meowth said.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket screamed.
Team Rocket disappeared into the sky again. Ash and his friends brought all the eggs safely back to the barn. Ash and Cody postponed their fight to another time. The three trainers were allowed to spend the night with Cody and his family.
The next morning, Ash and his friends were ready to leave.
Thank you for letting us stay here, Roan said.
"It was the least we could do after you saved our eggs," Clara said.
"No problem," Ash said.
"Pika, Pika," Pikachu squeaked.
"You are indeed a good trainer, but no better than my brother, If it weren't for those thieves he would have beaten you in no time," Dustin said.
"Who knows," Ash said.
"Is Cody still asleep?" Roan asked.
"Cody left early this morning," Clara said.
"He must be on his way to Hulbury by now," Chloe said.
"Then we should get going too," Ash said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu squeaked.
Ash and his friends said goodbye to Cody's family and continued their journey. And when they arrived in Hulbury Will Ash win his second badge then?
