This is the account of the second quest to complete the Unova Pocket Monster Index. Dr. Cedric Juniper assigned Rosa, Hue, and Nate, three Pocket Monster Trainers from Aspertia who have the talent to capture the Pocket Monsters that are found in Unova. Along the way, friendly rivalries bloom, criminal organization returns, and Legendary Pocket Monsters are encountered.

6. Route 19

This is the account of events that occurred on the first day of my quest. I am Rosa of Aspertia, a Pocket Monster Trainer who was selected to aid Dr. Cedric Juniper with his Index. His assistant, Bianca, met me at Aspertia Outlook and gave me a Pocket Monster Index and let me choose one of three Pocket Monsters; I selected a Oshawott that I named Wottson. Wottson and I had left Aspertia after becoming acquainted to each other, battling my neighbor Hue and earning a Badge from the Aspertia Gym.

We walked north and arrived at a gate and crossed through. After passing through the gate, we arrived on Route 19. I walked through the tall grass and encountered a Patrat. I battled him with Wottson and managed to capture with some difficulty. Then I looked through the grass and encountered the other species of Pocket Monster that lived in it, a Purrloin.

I was intent on capturing Pocket Monsters, so I would have a large roster of Pocket Monsters to train. There were no Trainers on the Route that were interested in battling me, so I continued on my way to Floccesy Town, which is on the way to Virbank, which has a harbor that would lead to the mainland of Unova. But before I got to Floccesy Town, I heard someone call out to me and then saw someone jump off of the cliff in front of me. The person landed on their feet then turned to greet me. When I got a good look while the person complimented my connection with Wottson, I realized that the man looked like Alder, a Former Champion of Unova.

The man confirmed that he was Alder, then stated that he could give me advise on how to improve as a Pocket Monster Trainer. I could not refuse since Alder was one of the most skilled Trainers and it would be very educational. He explained that I could find him at his home in Flocessy and said that he would be expecting me. I will continue my account to describe my training with Alder.
