I don't know why I wrote this, but I was up and wanted to write a Touhou Project fanfic with some jujutsu kaisen elements. It's been in my head for a while. This is the start of my journey of writing something every day, so if anyone has requests, they would like me to write. I would try writing them because I see myself running out of ideas. More details on the profile if interested.
A Cursed Butcher in Gensokyo (Semi-SI/OC) Jujutsu Kaisen/Touhou Project Crossover
Gensokyo
An eastern wonderland where fantasy was reality and the supernatural resided.
A certain shrine maiden wearing red lives in a shrine on top of a mountain. This shrine was called the Hakurei Shrine by the locals. It was nighttime, and the only entities awake would be Youkai prowling.
"Hmm…" Reimu Hakurei is the sole shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine. "I wonder if the times would change and we would stop getting outsiders. They do nothing but start incidents that I have to solve," she huffed.
Even if there haven't been as many outsiders recently, it causes a lot of trouble. Primarily to Reimu because she would have to try to get them to leave. It wouldn't be a problem if they read the books before trying to start living here. Most die from one of the many Youkai in Gensokyo.
"It's no use grumbling about something that I can't change. It's not like I didn't try to help…"
With those few words, Reimu looked outside one last time before sleeping.
Somewhere along the boundaries of Gensokyo, a woman named Yukari Yakumo is watching Gensokyo through numerous gaps she has.
"Ran, how is our current outsider doing?" The Youkai of Boundaries asked.
"He is still reading the book you gave him. Chen is watching him, but he will not last long in Gensokyo based on his character."
Ran Yakumo, the shinigami of Yukari, understood why her mistress spirited an outsider but never understood how she found these individuals.
"That's one of the many reasons why I took him. He wanted to escape from the mundane lifestyle the outside world has for something different. It doesn't matter if he survives or not. He isn't anything special. In the worst case, he becomes food for Youkai."
"I see… do you think this human may cause trouble in Gensokyo?" the shinigami asked.
The gap youkai hummed before answering. "I will admit most humans do have the potential to become dangerous. Most die before they have a chance to realize their abilities. It is rarer to see them able to utilize them in an impactful way." Yukari took a sip of her tea. "But that is the fate I bring here for most outsiders. If it were for Reimu, he would have been food by now."
"I see…"
"But to answer question Ran. No, I don't think the human I brought would be a problem. If he had luck, he would live out his days in the human village or become food for the youkai. However, that attitude could put him in an early grave."
The sage of Gensokyo yawned. "I'm getting exhausted. I'm going to sleep. Wake me up if anything else happens." she left through a gap, leaving her shikigami alone.
In the Forest of Magic
A house in the middle of this forest of various flora growing wouldn't be possible without the possibility of magic.
Marisa is a magician of huge renown and known for being a frequent kleptomaniac Among the locals. What was currently taking up her attention was a cauldron. Inside, it was a brew of mysterious origin.
"With this potion, I should be able to increase my magical capabilities properly. This book I borrowed from Knowledge."
The magician kept slowly stirring the soup while looking at a grimoire.
"This should be perfect for trying out new spells. Now, I must add precisely three drops of fairy dew, and the potion should be complete." She carefully held a small dew vial over the cauldron.
Bamboo Forest of The Lost
A strange portal opened, and a young boy fell out from it.
The surging energy caused the inhabitants of Gensokyo to be on alert quickly. Then, as quickly as the energy spike was noticed, it quickly vanished.
This caused a shrine maiden to wake up briefly before returning to sleep, murmuring, "Take care of it later."
The Youkai of Boundaries briefly woke up and opened a gap to look but only saw a young man in the area on the grass floor just before her shinigami came in to notice her mistress already aware of the situation.
In the middle of the brew, the magician noticed the strange energy flare only to add more than three drops to the soup, only to explode. This caused the young magician to scream in horror before her house, releasing a foul odor.
So this is the start of some of the new stuff I've been working on. These are primarily ideas I had that I haven't considered making into an entire book. Most are concepts that may become completely fleshed-out works.
