"Wow, an enormous estate!" Naruto exclaimed, his voice resonating through the calm forest. "It's much larger than expected... Are we really going to explore this place?" Kakashi, responding to Sakura's concerned glance, casually flipped through the mission scroll. "Unfortunately, there's no doubt we're in the right spot," he confirmed. Sasuke, upon hearing this, looked up with a somewhat annoyed expression, contemplating who would construct such a structure deep within the woods. Before them stood a grand mansion, its opulent design evident from the impressive gate. The white-painted fence extended on both sides, revealing a substantial estate. Yet, vines covered everything, and thick tendrils reached towards the mansion. Upon closer inspection, the plaster walls showed signs of wear, and the roof tiles had numerous cracks. It appeared considerably aged. "It seems quite worn out," Sasuke remarked. "Doesn't it give off a strange vibe?" Sakura added. "I find it intriguing, rather than creepy," Naruto chimed in. Despite their varied opinions, Kakashi recalled the mission's purpose – to locate a family heirloom jar hidden somewhere within this old mansion, as requested by the owner Nonoji. The complex structure, resulting from the previous owner's mysterious renovations, turned the mansion into a challenging maze, beyond the capabilities of ordinary individuals. Nonoji sought help from the village since the item remained undiscovered for years. "Why would the previous owner build something like this?" Sasuke questioned, expressing a valid concern. Kakashi shrugged, "I didn't bother to inquire about those details, but perhaps they were eccentric. Well, let's focus on finding the jar before the deadline." Three days later, Nonoji would come to retrieve it. Unusually, they had to go to him instead of delivering it to the client. "Let's go in," Kakashi said, reaching for the weathered gate.

Creak... Opening the large bolted entrance door from the outside, Kakashi stepped in first, and the inside of the mansion carried a scent of dust and history. Insufficient sunlight made some areas dimly lit. The others followed, and Sakura commented on the unique atmosphere. "It's more interesting than eerie," Naruto remarked. "...," Sasuke, however, stayed silent. After entering, the door closed behind them with a resonating noise, leaving them momentarily unsettled. "Any idea why the previous owner left this place untouched?" Sakura asked, curious about the mansion's history. Kakashi speculated, "Maybe it's due to the peculiar atmosphere. We'll find out once we locate that jar." As they explored, Naruto thought he heard mysterious sounds, but Kakashi's sensing ability didn't detect any presence. The feeling of being watched persisted. "I swear I heard strange noises, and not just one sound, but several..." Naruto expressed his concern. Kakashi reassured, "It's probably just your imagination. Let's focus on the task." Sakura hesitated, feeling an uncanny sensation, "I sense something too, though..." "In an abandoned mansion, there shouldn't be anything here," Sasuke dismissed the idea. "Perhaps some hidden mysteries?" Naruto suggested, half-jokingly. Unexpectedly, Sasuke, known for his realism, mentioned, "I haven't heard about that, but it feels abnormal. Maybe it's not just illusions or hidden secrets." Naruto shivered at his conclusion, looking at Sasuke in surprise. "Let's stick to our pairs and continue the exploration," Kakashi suggested, bringing their attention back to the mission. As they explored, Naruto and Sasuke stumbled upon a room with a peculiar painting that seemed to change. The unsettling feeling grew stronger, and when they left, the painting disappeared.

Meanwhile, Sakura and Kakashi had their own discoveries. They found a jar, but it wasn't the one they were looking for. Kakashi noticed something odd about the lack of footprints in the dust. As they regrouped, Naruto and Sasuke shared their experiences, revealing the mysterious painting and the tangible item from it. Doubt crept in about the authenticity of the mission. Kakashi pondered, "Regardless of these peculiar phenomena, we haven't made any progress. It's getting dark. Let's take a break, prepare for the night, and plan for tomorrow." Sakura expressed her unease, suggesting they sleep outside. Naruto and Sasuke strongly agreed, sensing mystery within the mansion. "Fine, let's get some fresh air outside first," Kakashi agreed, unfolding the mansion's layout on the table. Sakura held onto Kakashi's sleeve tightly, expressing her concerns. "For now, let's step outside. It won't hurt," Kakashi reassured.
