A/n: this is my first attempt at a sibling drabble book, I hope y'all like it! The Spencer family has always been my favorite family on GH, if you follow me you know that Lulu is my girl. My favorite sibling relationship is Ethan and Lulu but, obviously I also adore her relationship with Lucky and nikolas.
Siblings: Lulu and Lucky Spencer
Lucky Spencer has been strung out for awhile, he knew that he should be handling his mother slipping into a coma like an adult but…frankly, he just couldn't handle it. Laura could very well never come out of this, the fact that Luke was drunk half the entire time didn't make this any better. At first it was just a hit here and a hot there but, he let himself get caught up in the game. Lucky had cheated on Elizabeth, the first girl he had ever loved, with some common stripper. Marie couldn't hold a candle to Elizabeth but Elizabeth was so kind and understanding. That's just not what Lucky needed right now, he didn't know what he needed right now. Nikolas helped out of course but, he couldn't talk to his brother about what he was going through. Not that nikolas didn't try, his brother was a good man. As Lucky came back to the present where a party was going on, music bumping and drugs galore spread out on the table…a sweeping feeling washed over him.
"I…I need to go." Lucky stutters as he struggles to steady himself, as Marie offers him another line. Lucky sweeps the white powder off the table and onto the floor, he didn't want that shit near him. Not now. Not when she needed him.
"What's wrong with you? What are you talking about?" Marie put her hand on his arm, seductively.
"I have to go." Lucky's face hardened, pulling away from her.
"Elizabeth is history. You know that, don't you?" She crossed her arms.
"It's not Elizabeth, not that what I do is any of your business." Lucky barely glanced back at her, it wasn't Elizabeth. How could he have forgotten about her? How could have put his baby sister on the back burner? She was probably terrified right now, he had to get home to her. Lucky had to get to her. With that, Lucky walked out of the party and drove home. It had been forever since he'd been home, when he stepped into the house it was dark and littered with Jack Daniels glass bottles.
"Dad…you couldn't even keep it together for Lulu?" Lucky sadly shook his head, seeing his father passed out on the couch. Despite being mad at his father, he helped Luke back to his father's bedroom and threw the cover over him.
"Goodnight Dad, you'll be seeing a lot more of me. I'll take care of everything." Lucky whispers, thinking Luke was asleep.
"Cowboy, that's not your responsibility. I had a…revelation tonight. I'm throwing out all of the alcohol in the house, I'm going to do my best to be the father you and Lulu deserve. I've sobered up within the past few days, I just haven't had the motivation to clean up. Lulu's been worrying me to death about her big brother, she misses you. She doesn't understand why you left. You don't have to explain anything to me but, you owe your sister a reason." Luke knew he hadn't been the best father but he was willing to try.
"I know I do, I know. I don't know how things got so turned around, dad." Lucky bit his lower lip.
"We all make mistakes, we're only human. The important thing is we always get up to fight another day. We're Spencer's. Go see Lulu, we can talk in the morning." Luke wryly smiled at his son, Lucky shut the door behind him and raced up the stairs to his sister's room. Lulu was tucked into her twin bed, blonde hair strewn about on her pillow. She was propped up on her elbows, eyes glued to the TV set.
"Aren't you supposed to be asleep, Lulu?" The corner of Lucky's lips rugged into a smirk.
"LUCKY!" Six year old Lulu Spencer threw her covers back, jumping out of bed, rushing towards her brother. Lucky caught her in a hug, lifting her up into his arms.
"I missed you too, Lesley Lu." He sighed, setting her back on the bed.
"Where have you been?* Lulu softly asked.
"I…had to go away for a while. That's all." Lucky couldn't tell her where he'd been.
"Like mama?" Lulu couldn't stop her lower lip from quivering.
"No, not like mom. Sometimes I might go away for a while but I'll always come back. I know what happened to mom has to be hard on you, you're still so young." Lucky frowned, sitting beside Lulu on her bed.
"I miss her, nothing is the same. I know daddy's trying his best but he needs help. Why did she have to go away? I still need her…" Lulu sniffed, Lucky wiped away his sister's tears as they fell.
"I know, I miss her too. It's hard on all of us, it's okay to go through all of the emotions. You can't hold them all in. I don't know the answer to that but, this isn't goodbye. It's more like…see you later. We've gotta let mom get better so she can come back to us. Do you understand?" Lucky leaned back against her bed, feeling himself sink against it. It had been so long since he had been in an actual bed.
"I think so…I understand, I just don't like it. Why did you have to go?" Lulu sighed.
"I'm not proud of it, I've done things that I can't take back. I was hurting and I was selfish, I only thought of myself. That was wrong of me and I'm sorry." Lucky sighed, wanting to cry.
"Like breaking up with Lizzie?" Lulu prompted.
"How did you??" Lucky trails off in shock.
"Lucky, I might be blonde but I'm not dumb. Please." Lulu gave a dramatic sigh.
"You're wise beyond your years, Lulu Spencer." Lucky chuckled.
"She misses you, can't you just talk to her? If you love her, you should just tell her. It's that simple." Lulu looked at him with young innocence but Lucky knew she was right.
"I will talk to Elizabeth. In the morning. Right now? You need to get some sleep." Lucky gives her a smile.
"Don't leave." Lulu begged him.
"I can stay." Lucky says as they fell asleep next to each other. That next morning when Elizabeth, Emily and Nikolas came to check on Lulu…they opened the door and they saw a sleeping Lucky with an arm around Lulu who was sleeping soundly.
"See? I told you my brother would come around." Nikolas gave a soft smile to Elizabeth, as the three looked over at the two siblings.
