The following is a parody of the Kirby franchise starring Nintendo characters and terminology from those games with story elements and themes from both Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger and Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. Please comment on any writing advice to improve my work. With that said, enjoy :).
Bakuryuu Thunder Kirbyanger episode 1: Day of the Great Rampage
The story starts in a barren wasteland, seemingly devoid of life, when suddenly, we cut to inside a giant fortress, where a cloaked figure is running down a dark hallway. The sound and rumble of an explosion elsewhere briefly throws his balance as another figure clouded by the dark walks past some smoke, several unidentified creatures groveling beneath it awaiting orders.
"Find him…whatever it takes" he snarls at the creatures as it cuts back to the cloaked figure still running down the hall, now being chased by growling creatures as the amount of explosions increase. One of these explosions propel the cloaked figure outside into the lifeless desert. Without the cloak, our main focus looks like a black orb with tiny feet and hands wearing armor and a mask concealing his identity. He looks up, seeing a swirling portal opening from the sky, his glowing yellow eyes opening in shock.
"The forbidden heavenly door is finally…got to hurry" he manages to say before the ground shakes, as blasts of energy shake the entire fortress, causing the portal to fade. Suddenly, gray figures with orange eyes pop out of the ground, all of them wielding bow and arrows blocking the path towards the portal. The masked man reaches towards his side for a sword, pulling it out and charging towards the creatures. "Huh, Sei, Hi-yah" he cries out as he slashes at the creatures, sending them flying. He even grabs one of the creature's bows and slashes at it, breaking it in half before kicking the creature into a pile of rocks. He then leaps backwards, turning back to kick a couple of his foes before an explosion interrupts everyone, the portal fading more and more as a bag spills from the masked man's back pocket. "No!" he exclaims as glowing orbs then get swept up in the portal, as the fortress gets ready to blow. "No choice then!" the masked man exclaims as he jumps into the portal, followed by a big explosion swallowing the rest of the creatures.
Some Years Later…in Another Dimension.
The scene cuts to an open field, in a town called Cappy Town, where an adorable pink orb with little feet and stubs for hands is playing with a ball, kicking it around while an identical yellow orb is standing near the goalpost, looking fearful. The pink orb then kicks the ball into the air, before leaping to spin kick it towards the goal, causing the yellow orb to duck in fear while the ball hits the net. The pink orb lands, before changing his expression from determination to confusion, as he walks towards the yellow orb. "Keeby, you know you're supposed to stop the ball right?". He then helps his brother up as Keeby breathes in relief before saying "It's not my fault you're so much more stronger than me, Kirby.". Kirby then pats his head and says "Cheer up, let's go home and eat some food okay.". As the two brothers walk off, Kirby then stops in his tracks, looking in the opposite direction before he turns towards Keeby and says "Hey Keeby, go ahead and go while I check something out, okay?" as Kirby runs off, causing Keeby to yell "W-wait, Kirby!".
The scene then cuts to someone screaming in a home as a waddle dee citizen is on a chiropractic table complaining that "It Hurts!" over and over again as a humanoid figure with spiky blonde hair, a bandana around his head, and a pair of pointy ears starts cracking the waddle dee's back, with the last and largest crack causing the waddle dee to turn over in pain. "I'll take the 35,500 cash as promised". The Waddle Dee, on the floor, shouts "You're taking that for nothing!" before standing up with no signs of pain. "I did just heal that back that's been giving you pain your entire life. I'd say there's no reason to complain, no?". The Waddle Dee then pauses before stretching his stubs and legs, excited to move freely without pain chanting "I'm cured, thank you Mr. Knuckle Joe!" as Knuckle Joe then breaks from his stoic personality and looks into the distance, as if he heard something, before shrugging his head and saying "I need to go for a walk".
It cuts to a humanoid girl wearing a green, collared smock, a gray skirt, and a red beret covering some of her dark hair painting a mural of a giant lion while a small crowd gathers. "There, now to sign my name". As she goes to the bottom left to sign "Adeleine" before wiping her brow. "My first step into becoming a world famous painter.". As she puts her art supplies away, she then looks into the distance like the two before her, this time the audience hears along what sounds like the shimmer of a crystal.
It then cuts back to the barren wasteland, where a new fortress rises from the sand, as inside a menacing figure sitting in his throne gestures for his minions. "The crystals…they are calling out to their chosen warriors…" he then turns to two silhouettes, one slender female figure, and another shaped like Kirby, only with a more armored mask. "Report Susie, is our aerial attack craft, Dubior in position?". Susie steps forward, confirming "It is, my lord". From the shadows of the throne two purple eyes glow, sending out waves of psychic energy, as outside a giant circular machine starts activating. "When the Robobot has completed the first strike…you Crescent Mask shall personally launch the craft… for the future of the Fecto Halcandrian Empire, Another Earth won't know what's hit them, until it is far too late". The creature on the throne then shows his face in the light "For this is the only path towards prosperity".
It cuts to Kirby running in the forest, the soft ringing of the crystals drawing him further and further into the heart of the forest. At the same time Knuckle Joe is walking down, arms folded as he complains about how he had to purchase a 10 million demo car just to make it this far while Adeleine rides on her bike through the forest at a fast pace. "That noise, why am I compelled to it?" she wonders. Suddenly, the front of her bike gets caught in a tree branch, causing Adeleine to trip and fly off her bike, crashing into a running Kirby. Meanwhile Knuckle Joe is feeling the ground, thinking to himself "This is where that sound leads me, but I don't see where it is?" when suddenly, the rolling duo of Kirby and Adeleine crash right into Knuckle Joe, the trio rolling before they fall down a giant sinkhole.
Meanwhile in the city, the day suddenly turns dark, the ground rumbling as people from inside the buildings look above in horror or amazement as a giant UFO suddenly bursts through the clouds, as inside it Crescent Mask is driving it, laughing in his deep voice as he says "I have arrived at this dimension my master, and soon the Robobot shall follow and clear this city.".
At the same time as that is happening Kirby, Knuckle Joe, and Adeleine are all getting up, none the worse for wear as they all look up to see where they've fallen. Knuckle Joe turns towards both Adeleine and Kirby and angrily says "Great, just when my day couldn't get any worse, you two idiots had to come along and trap me in here.". Adeleine then suddenly retorts with "Hey! It's not my fault I tripped, I was in a rush to…to." Adeleine, fearing the ridicule she might face if she told the truth, gets out her paintbrush and says "Get a good spot to paint.". Knuckle Joe rolls his eyes and says "Nevermind, you two stay here while I climb out of here.". While Knuckle Joe climbs on the rocks, Kirby gets up, and starts looking around saying "Y'know, I heard about this one guy who was hiking here and fell in the giant sinkhole, do you think it was this one?" as Knuckle Joe falls down, unsuccessful at climbing up. "Oh, you're back so soon?" says Kirby with complete sincerity as Knuckle Joe grumbles to himself. Suddenly all three hear the chime calling out to them, now more louder than ever. "It's close." says Kirby as he dashes further into the cave, with Adeleine and Knuckle Joe running after him.
After enough running, the trio then stumble upon a rock formation carrying three glowing devices. "What do you think they are?" Adeleine asks first. "Hopefully, something worth my time." As Kirby is the first to approach the devices, both Knuckle Joe and Adeleine are not too far behind him as they all grab the devices. "So cool!" "Never seen anything like this." "Wonder how much it will sell?. Before any of they're questions can be answered, a booming voice from behind them says "So, you three are the ones." causing all three to turn around in shock.
Back at the city, a giant robot is tearing through several cars, its right hand demolishing a bridge in its path, as it pans out to reveal this all happening in a computer monitor screen, as Kirby, Knuckle Joe, and Adeleine look with worried faces. "This is the Robobot, a machine built for justice that has now been brainwashed into attacking." A figure similar to Kirby only with dark blue skin, slightly different mask and a cape turns around and faces our protagonist. "Those devices you hold are meant to communicate your thoughts into it using a special crystal that has chosen you all." "And what makes you think we can tame that thing?" Adeleine asks, while Knuckle Joe folds his arms and adds "I don't remember asking to be a superhero." clearly not believing in this either. "Because the crystals don't just choose anyone, and right now you have to stop them.". No one speaks for a while, until Kirby says "I have a little brother in that city, and right now he's depending on me, so count me in." as he steps forwards, with the other two looking at each other before stepping forward as well. "This won't be easy, nobody knows that better than I do, But you're gonna have to believe in yourselves, cause I believe in you." "Really?" "Really."
It cuts back to the city where the Robobot is still rampaging, using its drill arm to smash a museum as the trio arrive with the masked stranger driving them in his car. "Okay this is it" he says as he stops the car, everyone exiting it. "Looks like you were telling the truth then." says Knuckle Joe, slightly taken aback as in the sky. Adeleine then puts on a look of worry "So we really do have to tame it then?" "I won't allow it" says a deep voice, as a red portal opens up, a masked warrior similar to the one on the heroes side descending holding a sword with the crescent moon on the edge. "You'll have to get past me if you want that machine." he boasts, as the masked stranger looks at the mask of the villain, saying "That moon shaped mask…nevermind, you three, say "Thunder Power, Bakuryuu Change" and press the button on your devices to combat him!". Everyone takes a defensive stance, as they all pull out their devices, "I've been waiting for action like this, Ready!" as Kirby holds out the phone "Ready!" says the other two, as they all hold the phone behind them "Thunder Power!" they then hold out the phone in front of them before holding it behind them in the opposite direction "Bakuryuu Change!". As they press the button, the phones transform into weapons, a sword for Kirby, a spear for Knuckle Joe, and a cutter for Adeleine as helmets form on their heads. Once the transformation completes, the trio roar towards the screen. The trio then take a minute to marvel at their weapons, as the masked stranger nods and yells "Now fight with your overflowing Bakuryuu Thunder!" "All Right!" "Can't be helped!" "I can come to grips with these".
Crescent Mask clenches his fist, saying "So you're now star warriors, come my Halcandrian army!" as a portal opens from above summoning gray creatures with orange eyes armed with bows, as both sides charge at each other. We first cut to Knuckle Joe, who charges through the Halcandrians with his spear, stopping to slash at one before tripping another at its feet before spinning it around, blocking an attack from two others before spinning again to strike at the two. It cuts to Adeleine, who uses the cutter to hit two Halcandrians, ducking at another's attempt to hit her before blocking a fourth one's attack, kicking away the creature into a backflip before she soars in the air and performs a floating spinning maneuver hitting all that surrounds her. It cuts to Kirby who swings his sword wildly at the enemies, before lunging the tip of his sword at an unfortunate Halcandrian, who is then launched slamming into a wall. The three then regroup and leap into the air, swinging their weapons at Crescent Mask, who effortlessly parries every attack, sending them flying backwards onto the ground. Crescent Mask then follows up by firing a laser from his sword directly at our heroes, causing sparks to fly out of them. The masked stranger then runs up to them, seeing their bodies sizzle on the ground as Crescent Mask boasts once more "You three are no threat to me!". The masked stranger then yells at the warriors "Get angry. Real angry. Warriors who have Bakuryuu Thunder never lose!" as the trio start to get up, looks filled with determination as their weapons glow. "Now turn that fury and combine your weapons!". The trio roar with anger as they put their weapons together, creating a bazooka with a star at the end, Kirby holding the end of it while the other two hold the middle and end part. "BOOMING BLASTER!" they yell aiming the weapon at an overconfident Crescent Mask who walks towards it pointing his sword. "Fire!" yells Kirby as he pulls the trigger, launching a star at the villain who promptly explodes. "Alright!" says Kirby, smiling at the supposed victory as Crescent Mask flies off, underestimating how much damage he received saying "To possess this much power…you showed me your weapons, now meet mine!" before exiting the portal. "Serves you right!" says Kirby before Knuckle Joe taps his shoulder reminding him "Hey, don't get carried away, we still got that to deal with." as he points not only to the Robobot, but to the Duboir spaceship as it fires below. "Okay guy, how do we fight that?!" says Adeleine as she points at both threats. "As I said before, the phones will communicate your thoughts to the Robobot, concentrate. You can do it" as the team's weapons revert to phones. They all hesitate for a second, before turning towards the ramaging machine. They all point their phones at it, the antenna sending signals to it as they all think "C'mon, work with me here!" "Calm down, I'm your friend!" "Wake up, please!". The Robobot pauses its destruction, its eyes glowing red with evil to yellow before shedding its dark gray look to becoming as pink as Kirby, its right arm turning blue and its drill arm turning yellow. "We did it!" exclaims Kirby as the mech stands still, the masked stranger saying "Now fuse yourselves with it, and take that ship!". The group all look at eachother and nodding, leaping into the Robobots head.
Inside, three consoles appear, each color coordinated to each hero as they all touch it saying "I've got it!" "Me too!" "Let's do it then!". The Robobot then slams its drill arm and right hand before striking a battle pose, roaring with its mechanical mouth, then looks up to see its opponent. "Your pathetic machine is no match for me!" says Crescent Mask from the Duboir as it fires lasers down at the machine, hitting it with perfect accuracy as the console room inside shakes around. "Now I'm mad!" yells Kirby, as Duboir then launches to wires that wrap around the Robobot's hands and drill, trying to pull it towards it. The Robobot then uses its drill arm to free that hand, while the other is being pulled. "It's too well armed from the front!" exclaims Adeleine, as Knuckle Joe says "We have to free the other arm before it pulls something else." Kirby then says "Loosen the grip on the arm!" Kirby shouts, causing both Adeleine and Knuckle Joe to stare at him in shock. The Robobot obeys, the wire now able to pull them in. "What are you thinking?!" screams Adeleine "You really are a moron!" screams Knuckle Joe. Kirby smiles, as the Robobot then starts running forwards, Kirby yelling "Now here's where the real fun starts!" as the Robobot then jumps, riding on the wire and getting behind Dubior, Crescent Mask looking up and yelling "WHAT?!" as the Robobot uses its drill arm to free itself from the other wire, turning to face the back of the ship. "Time to aim for the back of the net!" Kirby yells as the Robobot revs up its drill arm. "Robobot Drill Strike!" Everyone shouts at the same time the Robobot dives in drill first to the back of the ship, tearing it apart from the inside. "Wait! What's going on?!" Crescent Mask shouts, the Robobot emerging from the other side and landing gracefully on the ground, turning towards the ship before waving goodbye. The ship starts exploding as Crescent Mask shouts "It can't be! Me, Defeated by another Earthlings! Eject!" as a portal opens up carrying Crescent Mask away from the Duboir's destruction, sparks raining down as everyone celebrates.
It cuts back to the masked stranger, who nods in approval, before whispering to himself "They've won this battle, but the enemy they fight won't give up easily, But with hope, when these three are together, nothing can defeat them.".
It cuts back to the barren wastelands, now identified to the audience as Halcandria, where inside the fortress Crescent Mask and Susie, who has red hair, black clothes and floating limbs, bow their heads in shame at a throne. "So…he has made new star warriors who have given that dimension a fighting chance" says a raspy voice, as Crescent Mask looks up and points at Susie saying "Our deepest apologies my lord, but it was Susie's aircraft that was deeply flawed." with Susie retaliating with "My design was perfect, it was your shoddy battle skills that cost our victor-AAAAGH". Two beams of purple energy then flow directly into the two's heads, causing great pain to both of them as they kneel on the ground groaning in agony. "Let this be a lesson…" Fecto Elfilis then stands up from his throne revealing a mostly turquoise in coloration and feature large ears and a long tail, all aspects reminiscent of a chinchilla with cervid antlers akin to a deer, external gills akin to an amphibian like an axolotl, digitigrade legs akin to most four-legged mammals, and a thick collar of cream-colored fur, and a red marking runs down their stomach. "…I do not take defeat lightly." he whispers before snarling at the viewer, ending the episode.
