"Once more, Dr. Green is left with the unresponsive Professor Crane. I do not understand. With every medical examination he has been given, our nurses have co confirmed that Crane is one hundreds percent in good health, in both medical and mental. Well, as well as a mad man can be. I do hope that Dr. Green can break this cycle soon, and we can get this man back to his old self again. Though that is not ideal, I don't see another choice." - Dr. Jeremiah Arkham
Dr. Green: Taped session number five. The patient's name is Jonathan Crane, otherwise known as the Scarecrow. The patient is known to commit his crimes with the involvement of his fear toxin, which causes horrendous hallucinations in the mind. Said hallucinations consist of the victim's deepest phobias, which come to life in their own mind. Victims such as Rufina Dooh, Waylon Jones, and Kirk Langstrom, otherwise known as Red Riding Hood, Killer Croc, and Man-Bat respectively. Both patients were used as a means of escape for the Scarecrow, and in tow the Joker. Though the later was successful in his escape, Crane was caught just before he could leave the asylum grounds and was sentenced to solitary confinement for two whole months after all of the chaos he caused. Since then, Crane has been unresponsive to anyone's attempts to bring him back to senses. The catatonic state has stood firm, much to Dr. Arkham's frustration, and my own.
"Looks up to Crane, sitting still in his chair."
Scarecrow: …
Dr. Green: Sigh.
"Gets up from her seat again, walks up to Crane and snaps her fingers in front of his face."
Dr. Green: Professor. I don't have time for this. I'm truly starting to believe that you're doing this on purpose. What do you possibly have to gain from acting like this?
Crane: …
Dr. Green: A scare tactic perhaps?
Crane: …
Dr. Green: What? At any moment are you going to rise up from your seat and say boo?
Crane: ...
"Green pinches the bridge of her nose and sighs heavily"
Dr. Green: Jonathan, for the love of God, snap out of it! There is no possible way you can actually be this braindead! You have had check ups result with perfect health reports! I am not going to waste my time with your pathetic games!
Crane: …
Dr. Green: Jonathan!
Crane: …
Dr. Green: Sigh, God.
"She returns to her seat and starts filling her report."
Dr. Green: The Master of Fear, ladies and gentlemen. If that's true, then I'm the queen of the Amazon. Pathetic really.
"The sound of the metal chair begins scooting on the floor. Alerting the doctor whose head shoots up as she drops her pen in fright."
"Proceeds to look up to Crane who is as still as a statue. She glares back to the patient and grabs her pen."
Dr. Green: You are truly one crafty bastard Crane. If you want to play that game, then let it begin, and I intend to win.
