The following morning as everyone was eating breakfast, Mr. Black called for everyone's attention to the front of the dinning hall.

"It's come to my attention that there are rumors going around about my daughter Vivian and her girlfriend which we feel need to be discussed," he said as he motioned to the girls who stood next to him.

"Is it true that they started dating when Emma was a camper here last year?" asked a boy from the sea of campers.

"No, we did not," said Vivian.

"I did confess my feelings for her when I was a camper, but we agreed not to date until the end of camp as it would have been inappropriate," said Emma.

"As for the rumors, they are just that, rumors," said Vivian.

"And with that said this is all we will have to say on the subject, and if any new rumors are started we will find out who started them and the camper will be sent home," said Mr. Black. Everyone then went back to their meals.

"You think that will get the rumors to stop?" asked Gwen as Vivian and Emma sat down with her and Walter.

"Who really knows," said Emma.

"Rumors will find their ways to go around and all, we just have to trust people not to believe them too much," said Vivian.

"Which is easier said than done," said Walter.

"Whose side are you on?" asked Gwen while giving him a quick jab to the side.

"Hey, how did this get here?" asked Emma as she noticed a piece of folded paper on the table under her plate.

"No clue, but does it have something written on it?" asked Vivian.

"Meet me in the arts and crafts cabin after breakfast, I need your help and can only ask you for it," said Emma as she read the letter.

"You shouldn't go alone, just in case," said Walter.

"I'll go with and we can see what this is about together," said Vivian to which Emma agreed.
