The co-first high profile inmate to enter Arkham Asylum, Karl Hellfern otherwise known as Dr. Death was originally housed at Blackgate Penitentiary as a part of it's Arkham ward before being transferred to Arkham the same day the Joker was placed. Ugh, such a disgrace on my family's name, and it's that horrid drivel of a prison which uses it no less. But I digress, we were given high demands to separate Hellfern from the clown from Hellfern himself. He wouldn't specify why he desired to keep separate from Joker, then again with the madman it could have been for any reason. In truth, I did not find that he needed to be in our care, until he started spewing out nonsense of being the leader of Hitler's science division during the height of that old tyrant's order. How anyone could live for that long and look as young as he does is just absurd, the numbers just do not match! Oh, yes. Numbers. That is what had gotten Hellfern in our asylum due to his demands of money, as well as getting released from it. Just only a few days ago when I was attending my daughter's school play, Mob don Theo Galavan and his demon spawn he calls a sister Tabitha had somehow paid Hellfern's "bail" and out he was from our care. Of course it was Warden Sharp who had taken the money and Galavan knew that the twit could be bought off easily unlike Hugo or Wade. I never should have given that spineless fool power to make such decisions in my absence. But Sharp has insisted numerous times that he felt that Hellfern was in no more need of treatment, but I could see through those pitiful lies. I have no doubt he plans to use those funds to fund his ridiculous campaign, which of course he won't win over Hamilton Hill, he has no idea how to run an ant farm let alone my asylum. I need to make a note to fire the twit once I get the chance, In fact, I might to so in the morning. Sigh, but alas, whatever Galavan has planned for Hellfern could only mean danger upon my fair Gotham.
