In the closing years of the Sengoku Era, Japan was consumed by perpetual conflict. The fires of war raged on, spreading deep into the mountains-to the land of Ashina. However, there was a man that would stage a bloody coupe against Ashina and take the land back from it's oppressors and all it's glory. His name was Isshin Ashina.
Isshin was a young warrior moving up in the ranks for the battle to regain control of his land. Isshin went from mere infantry to a skilled samurai, earning the respect and admiration of his comrades. His swordsmanship was unmatched, and he could take down multiple opponents with ease. Polishing his techniques in the blood of his foes. The day finally came when Isshin and his army marched towards the Shiranui stronghold.
This would mark a historic place in Ashina's history, becoming known as The Siege Of The Crimson Spears. This was a historic clash between the Ashina and Shiranui clans, unfolded on the 15th day of the Month of Falling Petals in the year 1552. This monumental event marked a turning point in the turbulent history of Ashina, forever etching its significance into the annals of the Sengoku Era. The rivalry between the Ashina and Shiranui clans had intensified over years of territorial disputes and power struggles. General Tamura, a formidable leader of the Shiranui forces, sought to expand his clan's influence by conquering the land of Ashina. The Ashina, led by the indomitable Isshin Ashina, stood as the last bastion against the encroaching threat.
The battlefield, bathed in the hues of falling cherry blossoms, witnessed a clash of titans. The strategic brilliance of General Tamura clashed with the unmatched combat prowess of Isshin Ashina. The battle raged for days, the earth trembling beneath the feet of warriors locked in a struggle for supremacy.
On the fateful day of the 15th, as the sun dipped below the horizon, Isshin confronted General Tamura in a duel that would decide the fate of Ashina. The clash of their weapons echoed through the valleys, and the crimson spears that adorned the battlefield bore witness to the intensity of their struggle.
As they approached the stronghold, they were met by a massive army of Shiranui soldiers. The two armies clashed in a fierce battle that lasted for hours. Isshin was at the front of his army, slicing through enemy soldiers left and right. His sword glinted in the sunlight as he fought with all his might. He could feel his blood pumping in his veins as he dealt death to his foes.
The battle kept on, with Isshin feeling the adrenaline coursing through him. Eventually, Isshin managed to get his forces to combat each other whilst he and General Tamaru were left in a field, their soldiers fighting in the distance.
"The perfect opportunity..." Isshin thought as he confronted Tamura. The battle had begun, Tamura twirled his spear with an overhead swing, attempting to cut through Isshin. Isshin ducked, gained some distanced and deflected Tamura's spear as Tamura tried to slash him again, Tamura did another overhand swing, this time going descending instead of going forward.
Isshin evaded, Tamura got his spear stuck in the ground and Isshin stamped his foot on it. "Now's my chance!" Isshin tightened his grip and rotated his shoulder, torso and every part on his body in order or pierce Tamura through his gut. However, Tamura wasn't giving up and ultimately thwarted Isshin attempt. He picked his spear up from the ground and knocked Isshin a couple of feet back. Isshin was rolling but he quickly recovered.
"You will give us our land back, General Tamura."
Isshin spoke in a low, commanding voice as he stood up, his sword clutched tightly in his hand. Isshin breathed heavily as he readied himself for another attack, his sword at the ready. Tamura sneered in response, his eyes filled with a fierce determination.
"You are a fool, Isshin," Tamura spat. "This land is ours now. We have conquered it, and we will keep it."
Isshin gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with fury. He charged forward, his sword glinting in the fading light. Tamura met him head-on, their weapons clashing in a shower of sparks.
The two warriors fought fiercely, their swords ringing out in the silence of the battlefield. The two were just parrying with each other and then, there was an opening! Isshin recognized that Tamura was going to do an overhead swing from the right! Isshin ducked into a barrel roll and stabbed Tamura's foot to limit his mobility. Tamaru screamed, lifting his foot up and thrusting his whole body and weight into this thrust. Unfortunately, as the dust settled, Isshin blocked it, pushing it back with his katana.
"YOU WILL GIVE THE ASHINA PEOPLE THEIR LAND BACK!"
"NEVER, THE SHIRANUI CLAN OWNS ASHINA NOW!"
Isshin yelled as he retracted his blade, and Tamura titled it to the right, going in for a quick slash with his spear. Isshin ducked against and slashed him, forming a long cut across the left of Tamura's ribcage and armor. Tamara's was stunned, this was his opening. He had earned it, right now he had to finish General Tamura off once and for all!
Isshin yelled as he climbed Tamara's huge frame, grabbing Tamura's helmet as he positioned himself on his shoulder. He then plunged his katana into General Tamara's neck, went across it and pulled it out. General Tamura gagged as blood sprayed from his neck, slightly getting on Isshin. Then, he slowly fell to the ground as Isshin claimed victory over Tamara. "General Tamura is no more!"
He had to go and continue help his soldiers defeat the following enemies. He rushed in, his blood pumping at the thrill of slaying his enemies mercilessly. In the end, The Ashina people world the Battle Of The Crimson Spears. They reclaimed their land and went on to go do many things. Unbeknownst to them, their battle had destroyed a nearby village as an old, tall man with gray hair walked the battlefield, corpses, fire, and crows everywhere.
Owl was walking through the battleground, trying to get to his destination. He turned as he heard a noise, a lone child with long hair slowly grabbing a katana. Owl looked at the child, the child appeared to be male with its masculine features. Owl lightly held his katana against the boy's neck and up to his forehead, forming a slight cut as blood trickled down the boy's nose.
"What's the matter stray? Nothing left to lose?" Owl said as he looked at the boy, he pitied him, but life was brutal in the Sengoku Era of Japan. Then, the boy reached and grabbed his katana and held it, showing fearlessness in the face of death. This astounded Owl as he looked at the boy.
"...Fascinating. Will you join me, starving wolf?" The boy nodded as he rose to his feet, joining Owl on his journey. Owl decided to name the stray Wolf, since Wolf reminded him of a starving pup in the wilderness. On that day...a young cub was taken from the battlefield. He trained relentlessly and indeed went on to become a master shinobi. Owl and Wolf bonded over their lifetime together, all the way until Owl became an elder and when Wolf reached adulthood. Owl never had kids, but he raised Wolf as his own son.
Owl trained Wolf until he became a master of the katana, he was equally strong in ninjutsu and taijutsu. Owl decided to teach Wolf a couple of things from his clan, leaving an impression on Wolf. Wolf mastered what he was taught and also created a new technique of his own. This technique was named the Whirlwind Slash, Wolf would rotate his body and slash his katana in a circular direction, this was useful if he was cornered or was facing more than one opponent. Wolf was grateful for his foster father as Owl smiled, cherished him, and nurtured him. Training was hard and relentless, but it was never a moment of Wolf being overtrained.
Wolf loved his foster father as he and his dad went on many missions together and Owl even played with and bought toys for him.
"I love you, father."
"I love you too, Wolf."
Wolf respected Owl as he drilled him to be his successor and be a renowned shinobi. The two were rogues, going on random missions together as Wolf grew up through the years, with them eventually getting a big one, being the bodyguards and shinobi of Lord Kuro. Lord Kuro was with his uncle in Hirata Estate and they were meting up there, for a conference and assessment of their abilities as shinobi. Lord Kuro was a divine child, having a gift from a deity. This made Kuro a prime target for anyone looking to gain power and he wanted the best of the best to protect him.
Now, they we're behind the door, getting ready to meet Kuro. Owl put his hand on Wolf's shoulder. "Listen Wolf, you must never forget the Shinobi Code. As your father, my word is absolute. Your masters is a close second." Owl went towards the door and slightly opened it, allowing light to creak in as Wolf got a glimpse of what Lord Kuro looked like. "As of today, he is your master. Defend him with your life. If he is taken, bring him back at any cost." Wolf looked up as the door opened, with Lord Kuro, his uncle and other family members and relatives looked at Wolf and Owl.
Lord Kuro, the young and enigmatic scion of the Hirata Estate, possesses a countenance that belies the weight of his lineage. Despite his innocence, his appearance exudes an air of wisdom beyond his years. His eyes, a striking shade of crimson, stand out as a unique and captivating feature that hints at a mysterious depth within.
At first glance, Lord Kuro's youthful visage is framed by a cascade of ebony locks, falling gracefully to his shoulders. His complexion, porcelain-pale, speaks of the sheltered life befitting a young lord yet carries a subtle resilience, a reflection of the challenges he faces. His features are refined, sculpted by both noble heritage and the trials of a tumultuous era. Draped in a ceremonial robe of deep brown, adorned with intricate golden embroidery that weaves tales of Hirata Estate's history, Lord Kuro stands as a symbol of the clan's legacy. The robe, though regal, bears signs of practicality, designed to allow freedom of movement befitting a young lord involved in the intrigues of a war-torn land.
"You understand me...don't you Wolf?"
Wolf was 21 years old, a fully grown man as he stood at 5'11 lifting his head up to face Lord Kuro. "Yes, father."
This was a pivotal moment in the lives of these two men as Wolf and Owl nodded, bowing down before Kuro and his uncle. "Lord Kuro, we will serve you with our lives. You will be our master and we are your humble servants." Owl said as he kneeled down.
"It is a pleasure to meet you young master. I thank you for calling us into your service." Owl said as he rose his head up.
"Thank you, being the humble and skilled shinobi that you are for taking this job." Lord Kuro's uncle, Hiro said.
[Timeskip, after the raid of Hirata Estate.]
Some twenty years after Isshin's coup, the Ashina clan was on the brink of collapse. And the shinobi known as Wolf, had lost everything-Both the man that had took him in and the boy he sworn to protect.
[At Ashina Resevoir...]
It was winter and show had fallen as a woman, wearing a red robe with an umbrella graced the ground. She was here because he had gone too far and he needed to be halted. The trees were near the moat as she looked down there. Her name was Lady Emma. She was told to come here by Lord Isshin, to send a certain message to someone. She walked the ground gracefully as she stood at the large opening the in the moat, a dark, damp and moist hole.
"Shinobi...open your eyes. For the sake of your master..." Emma dropped the paper as it fell down the moat, hitting the floor quietly. Wolf was in the moat, his head down as he lifted his head up, hearing the paper fall into the moat. He got up to go and investigate. He walked towards it, picking it up and reading it.
"Kuro's Wolf, Your destiny awaits you at the moon-view tower. Escape from the well and find the tower bathed in moonlight.
Even without a blade, you can reach it. Stay silent. Stay vigilant." - Ornamental Letter
Wolf took this as a sign that all hope wasn't lost and that he could successfully rescue his master. He used his skill of escaping, getting out of the well with no effort. He then hid in the trees nearby. He wasn't going to go to the tower yet. He needed rest first. He went through his head as he continued to train his mind and body with the goals he wants to meet. He remembered what his father once taught him. "The body is a weapon and weapon is the body." He used that to gain strength and speed. He was ready. He went to the tower, ready to rescue his master from the Ashina clan.
