Afton Facility B5 – Data Center
Eclipse was plugging a desktop computer he installed his own custom software onto, into the switch network at the data center, so he could control Afton's servers and systems remotely. His plan was to have the ability to initiate the self-destruct sequence when he is away from the island on his submarine.
He heard gunfire in the hallways outside the data center. He brought up the cameras on a desktop computer at a corner desk, he could see the glamrocks are now in B5, firing at the last remaining Afton Security Force soldiers.
"Hmm…Their coming for him." Eclipse said.
Perhaps, this is where I make my exit? No….no, I need to see this through to the end. I need to see just how badly Afton fails at this. Eclipse grinned as he thought. He had dying to see Afton's downfall. He could watch it from the comfort of the data center, with an elevator just down the hall to the docks. It was perfect.
But then it hit him.
What about Jason?
"Do I really want that idiot as a partner?" Eclipse said to himself.
Eclipse thought long and hard about it. Jason has good business savvy but is at times impulsive, something Eclipse is not a fan of, impulsiveness. He likes to have a methodical plan for everything he does, biding his time, and analyzing everything in front of him and ahead of him.
"Hmph, I don't need him, but I can use him while I'm here. Have him tie up some loose ends for me." Eclipse said.
It was easy, have him send in Basegirl, and Longjack to hold off against the glamrocks, that takes them out, then setup a meet with Vanessa, enticing her with the kids and then let Jason come in, and rest takes care of it self. William will be too invested in his work to even notice.
It was the perfect plan.
"Jason, are you there?" Eclipse said on his internal radio.
"Yeah, I'm still in the control room. What do you need?" Jason asked.
"Can you do me a favor. Send in Basegirl and Longjack to B5. It looks like the glamrocks have made their way into the building through the underground train. And their dwindling our forces pretty quickly. I think we need to buy time for William to finish his project." Eclipse answered.
"Buy time for William? What are you talking about, do we even care?" Jason asked.
"Because I have a plan. If William stays busy with his work, that gives us a chance to barter with Vanessa and the glamrocks. We can bring the Aftons to them, and in exchange Vanessa has to go to you. You get your revenge, and we put an extra dent Williams failing plans and get to watch the meltdown, since he counts on having his precious family by his side constantly." Eclipse said.
"Hmm, you have a deal partner." Jason said grinning.
"Excellent. Now, we have work to do." Eclipse said.
"Basegirl and Longjack, you are needed on B5, The Glamrocks have breached the facility. I repeat the glamrocks have breached the facility. Bring whatever weapons you can." Jason said on his radio.
There is no way in hell they will survive the glamrocks…. Jason thought with a smirk. Once they were called away, Jason would go and retrieve the Aftons to bring them down to B5 and make a deal with Vanessa.
Afton Facility B5 – Train Hallway
3:00 AM
Cue Theme: The Outsider by A Perfect Circle
"We're taking heavy fire!" An Afton Solider said.
Vanessa and Freddy kept two of the solders around a corner pinned down with their gunfire.
"Looks like they don't want to come out and play." Roxanne said. Roxanne pulled a flash bang from her tactical vest, and pulled the pin throwing it around the corner.
The flash bang went off with a bright flash blinding and stunning the two soldiers around the corner in the hallway, Chica and Monty ran down the hall grabbing them from behind and snapping their necks.
"We need backup!" Another solider said, as he and another opened fire with their SIG MCX rifles on Chica and Monty. Chica hid behind a corner as the solider fired.
"Just die you machines! Die!" The soldier yelled as he and his comrade opened fire.
The rest of the team caught up to Chica and Monty. Chica gave a signal to hold back.
The soldiers stopped firing as Chica heard them reload their weapons. She took the body of the slain Afton soldier in front of her and picked it up with one hand advancing forward and her Beretta M9A3 handgun in the other. Monty did the same with the other slain soldier and his Glock 19.
The soldiers tried to open fire on Chica and Monty, while the bodies were shields for the pair. As Chica made a well placed head shot on the soldier on the left, and Monty managed to do the same on the solider on the right side of the hallway.
More soldiers arrived, at least 30, this time with Longjack and Basegirl in tow leading them.
"Guard the elevator to B3 at all costs!" Longjack commanded from the end of the hallway.
"No one leaves until they are terminated!" Basegirl said.
"Let's go!" A soldier said as several of them got into position behind shipping crates, pillars and shelving. All goods staged to be brought on to the trains at some point.
A hail of gunfire came at the glamrocks. They hid behind crates and containers made of steel.
"Come on out, just make this easier on yourselves. Your outnumbered, out trained, out matched." Longjack shouted.
"And you have a death wish. All of you! Your holding my family hostage! You are the ones that should be standing down!" Vanessa yelled from her cover.
"Fuck you bitch!" A solider said as he opened fire on the crate she was behind.
"Yeah hes gonna die." Mangle said taking her combat boots and fingerless gloves off. Now barefoot.
"Mangle what are you doing?" Vanessa asked.
"You'll see. Vanessa, just cover me." Mangle said.
Suddenly the fox woman jumped up with her great agility and attached herself to the ceiling crawling on it with her bare hands and feet.
"What the?" Vanessa asked.
"Oh Kellen didn't tell you about the upgrade I see." Freddy said.
"What the hell is that!?" A solider near the front shouted.
"Shoot it!" Another one said, as he raised his weapon.
Mangle swung her legs down over him before he could react and put his neck between her hips, and snaped his neck with them, then pounced on the other knocking him down. She grabbed his head while keeping her weight on him, then slammed his head against the floor with such force it shattered his skull to the point of breaking through the skin killing him. More soldiers from the end of the L-shaped hallway arrived. She took the soldiers weapon, a SIG MCX rifle and opened fire on the soldiers coming around the corner keeping them pinned down.
The others caught up, with Vanessa holding Mangles boots and gloves.
Hidden behind a steel crate with her, Vanessa hands back Mangle's items. Vanessa takes over the cover fire while Mangle puts her boots and gloves back on.
Chica managed to pick off one of the soldiers hitting him in the neck with her shot placement. He went down. Roxanne was hidden behind a crate with Elizabeth.
"Your father sure is an asshole." Roxanne said over the sound of gunfire exchanging from both sides bellowing through the halls.
"Oh you mean the sperm donor? Tell me something I don't know. Hey, can you do me a favor and use your x-ray vision to tell me whose left around the corner?" Elizabeth asked as she put a fresh magazine in her SIG MCX Rattler rifle.
"I see about 20 men left being led by 2 people blocking the elevator. What are you thinking?" Roxanne asked.
"Are they wearing any gas masks?" Elizabeth asked.
"No, none that I can see." Roxanne said.
"Take these gas grenades Vanessa and I built and gas them out. You can toss them a lot farther than I can now." Elizabeth said.
"Well I do love being the center of attention." Roxanne said grinning.
Roxanne took the gas grenades in her hand.
"Cover me!" She shouted at Vanessa, Mangle and Freddy who we in awe as she walked by without a care in the world. They kept firing on the soldiers to give Roxanne an opening.
She shot one of the distracted soldiers that was holding off Chica and Monty from advancing with her Beretta M9A3. And slashed the other in the neck with her claws as she walked by him. She put her gun in it's holster then got the grenades.
She pulled the pin on a grenade in each hand, her eyes filled with determination.
She tossed them both around the corner of the hallway as green gas spewed from them. Sounds of coughing and gagging could be heard.
"Nows your chance!" Roxanne shouted as she took her Beretta M9A3 back out.
The rest of the glamrocks, Roxanne included and the OAOS agents with them opened fire on all 20 remaining Afton units, taking them down as they choked and gasped for air.
The only two remaining were Longjack and Basegirl who had small masks to put over their faces to avoid the gas. The gas cleared revealing the slain soldiers and the 2 remaining Afton personnel.
They saw the approaching crowd with no where to run. No soldiers left. They had handguns but were outgunned, out skilled, outside of being able to issue orders and build tech.
"Let's run into the elevator!" Longjack shouted as he pressed the elevator button but the door wouldn't open.
"Why the hell won't this open!? Jason open the door! Eclipse open the door!" Longjack screamed into the security camera.
"This isn't funny!" Basegirl said.
Eclipse grinned as he looked into the security cameras. Eclipse got on the radios.
"Longjack, Basegirl, it has been a pleasure working with you both." Eclipse said in response.
"You fucker!" Basegirl said. Both of them were pounding on the doors of the elevator.
Vanessa and the crowd of agents caught up to them.
"Please. We surrender. Please. Your OAOS….just arrest us." Basegirl pleaded with Longjack nodding in agreement. They dropped their weapons.
Vanessa looked over at OAOS agents Marta and Fiona.
"Fiona, Marta. What do we do about these two?" Vanessa asked.
"The report will say our lives were in danger and we had no choice to neutralize them. Right Fiona?" Marta said coldly.
"No, were better than that. Marta, cuff Basegirl, I'll get Longjack." Fiona said.
"You got it." Marta said walking up to Basegirl.
"Put your hands behind your back and interlace your fingers." Marta said. Basegirl complied as the cuffs went on her.
"Put your hands behind your back and interlace your fingers." Fiona said. Longjack complied.
"You broke into my friend's home. You ruined this family's Christmas. You had plenty of chances to turn back and defect from Afton before the night you came to Vanessa's home, before your people came to the Pizzaplex. You are undeserving of kindness, you are undeserving of love. But I'm a believer in second chances. You give us intel, maybe we get your sentence reduced." Fiona said.
"We will tell you anything you want." Basegirl said.
"Good I find snitches useful at times." Marta said smiling.
Vanessa looked at the camera watching them.
"Grandfather. If you are watching. I want you to know, we will be getting the family back from you and if my son doesn't kill you first, I will. And this time, your not coming back." Vanessa said.
A cell phone could be heard ringing in Longjack's pocket. Vanessa ran over to fish it out.
"I'll answer it, you talk." Vanessa told him.
"Hello?" Longjack said.
"He want's to talk to you." Longjack said.
Vanessa took the phone.
"I want to make a deal with you, if you intend on seeing that family again." Jason said.
"J…Jason?" Vanessa asked.
"It has been awhile Vanessa." Jason said grinning.
"While she talks to your boss, I'm gonna have Glamrock Bonnie here escort you back to the train into town". Marta said, handing them off to him.
