Hey everyone, just wanted to do a quick Author's Note. This story was written on the same day The Owl House finished and I just wanna quickly say thank you Dana for making this show despite all the setbacks from Disney. I came late by a year. I watched The Owl House while I was in my post Gravity Falls depression and I fell in love with every character and the world that Luz inhabited. I'm sad to see the characters go, but I am hopeful that the fandom will still be with us. Thank you Dana, you amazing human being. Anyway, enjoy this chapter.
Somewhere, possibly in the Boiling Isles but Titan knows where. Alador had awoken chained to a dark and cold wall. He analysed his surroundings and saw that the area he was in was dark and it was cold.
"Where am I?" He asked, scared and confused. "Edric! Emira!"
"They're not here." Said a robotic voice. Then, Alador felt a cold, metal finger stroking his face. He looked at the person but all he saw were a pair of glowing orange eyes. Then, the room's lights turned on to reveal what appeared to be one of Alador's robots he reversed engineered. Specifically, the one possessed by The Core. "You're awake. I guess I knocked you out good. I mean, I just snuck up on you and knocked you out cold for two months."
"What are you?" Alador asked. "Why did you capture me?"
"I'll answer the latter. It might reattach a few screws in your brain." The Core replied. "You see Alador, you have something I want."
"Is it my kids?!" Alador exclaimed. "Jokes on you, my daughter is dead! And I don't know where the twins are."
"Is Amity really dead?" The Core asked. "Because, from Marcy's POV, she is quite alive and well in the Human Realm."
"You're lying!" Alador argued.
"I'd lie if you want something out of me." The Core said. "She is alive in the Human Realm. Living with her pathetic little girlfriend that helped Anne Boonchuy take me down."
Alador briefly smiled for a moment until he figured what they were when it mentioned Anne Boonchuy. "No! You're not are you?"
"You're smart. You should have found out by now." It replied.
"B-b-but, how?!" Alador exclaimed in confusion. "Anne destroyed you according to my daughter!"
"I had two backups." The Core replied. "Marcy and this rusted body. And what I want with you Alador, is you. You're the smartest witch on the Boiling Isles."
Alador then realised what the Core wanted with them and froze in terror. "Y…You, want my body?!"
"Well, you do have the body and the brains while I….Have a lot of brains." The Core said. "This body is rusted. Yours….With a little work done, will be a perfect fit."
He dropped Alador from his chains, causing him to drop to the floor. He was about to draw a spell circle but unfortunately, he had just woke up so his limbs were very weak at the moment.
"Oh no you don't!" The Core exclaimed. "You are not going to escape this easily!"
"You underestimate how powerful we are." Alador said with an overconfident grin. "You think you can stop us? Your feeble army won't stand a chance against us."
"Well, looks like someone isn't aware of Project Restoration." They remarked. "Not gonna tell you what it is, you'll just have to find out."
"Project Restoration?" Alador reacted in surprise.
"Don't worry." The Core assured him. "This doesn't affect you…" He turns on a nearby screen to reveal live security footage of Spieg, his husband Blet, Tarak, Bill and Tibbles.
"This is unbelievable!" Tibbles exclaimed. "Belos managed to pull off a brilliant scam and I didn't think of it!"
"A scam that almost got us killed." Blet reminded the demon.
"Yeah. Least I was dying with you." Spieg said to his husband, who blushed at his words.
"Awwwww! Spieg!"
"Get a room you two!" Bill exclaimed.
"They can't find a room they're stuck in a cell." Tarak pointed out.
"There's more prisoners, but I enjoy the chemistry they have." The Core said.
"You bastard!" Alador screamed.
"There's a ton in here." It taps their head. "So you're not far off. When your limbs will eventually start working, you will push this wheel…" He points to a giant pushing wheel that Alador would have to push. "…It will build up your strength so I can not only have a smart mind. But a new body. But if you don't push this wheel, then I will have to control Marcy to kill your daughter." Alador's eyes went wide in fear at the threat. "And I'm not bluffing."
Alador knew that he wasn't going to leave this place anytime soon. He was captured and he blamed himself for it. He wants to escape to find his kids and to take care of Pacifica. But he knew that if he did that, his daughter would be dead.
But he knew he had to get out, no matter the risk. The Core said they were the smartest witch on the Boiling Isles. So…He had to prove their point when the time comes.
