Ben trained and went on jobs like he normally did after finishing the prototypes. The designs that he made will be a hot commodity. After he got the patent, many companies must've wanted to make contracts for the production of these vehicles.
Considering the use of lacrima crystals rather than the use of a mage's magic power, the new models can be sold to ordinary people. This means they will have a bigger market rather than just selling magic vehicles to mages. A bigger market means more profit too, so many companies would compete to gain the right to produce the vehicles.
However, Ben wasn't bothered by this one bit. He doesn't really care about money now, because he was aware that power was more important in this world. If this is his past life, he would flip over in excitement, but now power mattered more to him.
Ben was fine as long as he had enough money to buy what he wanted. Automobiles were his hobby, so he will work on them when he got the chance, but power was his priority. This is a dangerous world, so he needs to stronger while also enjoying his life.
This car project was one day that he wanted to do to enjoy his life. He had a dream car, but he never got the chance to build it. Now he will build that car using his own two hands. And this car even used magic, which was every boy's dream.
The following Sunday, Ben finally received the patent. It took a week for Roubaul's friends to finish the process. The patent will last for 20 years, long enough for him to gain a lot of money.
"Hmm, it's the same as a typical patent on Earth, 20 years." Ben said.
Then surprisingly, the first to want to make a contract with Ben is the Magic Council of the Kingdom of Fiore. Ben just left to Roubaul's friends, because he's not good with something like this. He would be satisfied as long as he can get the materials to build the car.
A week later, Ben got a bank account filled with money from the contract. There is 1 billion jewel in it which was a lot of money. All of it was just from the contract with the Magic Council and the kingdom. He would still get more from the selling percentage, but that's not a problem Ben wants to dwell on.
"It's strange for me not to have a bigger reaction after seeing that amount of money. I guess with my priority changed makes me see that money to be that valuable, huh? No matter how much money I have, it can't buy a life. If it can, I will get as much money as possible to buy my family's life back." Ben noted.
He lamented while looking at his overfilled bank account that seemed useless to him. Bella, who was laying on his head, patted him with her paws.
"I know girl, there's no use thinking about that now. I need to think about more useful things, right? Like these blocks of steel." Ben remarked.
In front of him was a big stack of steel blocks. Roubaul's mysterious friends sent the bank account together along with these blocks. There are some blacksmith tools for him to process the steel blocks. As for how to heat it, he will do it with his hands rather than a furnace.
Ben never encountered these mysterious friends at all. Roubaul also never introduced them to him and he didn't want to force it. It's not like he really needed to know them. As long as they didn't have bad intentions and really helped him and his guild, that was good enough.
He then started to process the blocks of steel following his blueprint. Of course he would construct the engine first to test it. He will build it slowly without rushing. Besides, he'll only work on it on Sunday or during his free time, so he can't rush it anyway.
Ben constructed the car in between training and going on missions like usual. Bella was always with him and helped him take some tools like an assistant. Wendy and Carla also came to watch him build the car.
Something shocking also took place around this time. 3 weeks after she was born, Carla started to talk. Then a week later, Bella also started to talk. Carla usually talked with complete sentences, but Bella just talked word to word, no sentences.
"Ben. Milk!" Bella grabbed his feet while he was training inside the cave.
"You can get it yourself, Bella. Isn't that what you usually do?" Ben asked her.
"Cold." Bella shook her head.
"It's cold. Do you want me to warm it up?" Bella nodded.
"Alright, alright, princess." Ben chuckled.
"Princess!" She was happy with the name he gave her.
Bella really liked being called Princess because Ben told her about the princess stories he knew about. The 3 really like them, and often play it. They play act following the story that Ben told them, and they even show it to their guild mates at dinner, amusing everyone.
Ben warmed Bella's milk up with his magic. He's learned a lot about magic now. He also learned about his fire and light magic, not just Dragon Slayer magic. He learned more about the sun too, and found out more about it.
He was aware that there were still a lot of things he didn't know. That's why he'll keep learning. As he delved deeper into learning magic, he realized that it just kept getting deeper. For him, magic was like a mountain of ice.
"Here's your warm milk, your majesty." Ben handed the milk to Bella.
"Thank you, love Ben." Bella happily accepted the milk.
"I love you too. Now can you let me train while you drink your tasty milk." Ben rubbed Bella's head.
He continued his training and kept pushing his limits. He always did this every time he trained. He always liked the growth after pushing himself to the limit and surpassing it. Because of that, Ben grew a lot stronger after beginning to train in the cave 4 months ago.

Ben's overall growth is very fast, a lot faster than last year. However, the fastest stat to grow was his INT, because he kept receiving the knowledge from Roubaul's book of magic that A.I Chip stored in it's database.
His rapid growth even scared Roubaul, and caused the old man to become worried. He was concerned that Ben's body couldn't handle his rapid growth. He grew more in these last 4 months than in 1 year. He is growing 3 or 4 times faster, so Roubaul had the right to be concerned.
His biggest concern is what happens when Dragon Slayers become too strong, dragonization. Ben's rapid growth that seemed to be getting even faster caused Roubaul to be worried that he would turn into a dragon before he became too strong.
Ben eased his worries by saying that the 'dragon' who gave him his magic created a counter measure for dragonization. He had no idea if he would turn into a dragon in the future or not, but he needed to put the old man at ease. Besides, A.I Chip would warn him if something strange happened to his body.
Some time later
8 months had passed since Ben began his car project, so it's been 12 months or 1 year since his intense training. He worked on his car every Sunday, while training or going on jobs on the other days. And finally, he finished it after 8 months.
Ben's dream car was based on a Crush Gear, Garuda Phoenix. There were a lot of changes to it though. There's no way he'll have a Crush Gear with all it's weapons driving on the road with a lot of people around.
The most obvious change was that it didn't have any weapons, be it on the front, sides and rear. At least that's what's visible, because those weapons are hidden away. He placed some spells that will release the weapons that have the same design with the real thing. He even added some new weapons using his own spells.
As for color, he changed it's basic blue and silver to a red and black with golden linings. Of course he also made windows, doors, mirrors and other parts of cars. The Garuda Phoenix is just the base design, so he didn't make one.
"It's finally finished and just in time for my first mission outside the village." Ben smiled.
2 years had passed since he arrived in this world, so he is now a 12 year old. That means Roubaul will let him go on jobs outside the village with Wendy and their cats. So his car was completed at the right time.
"World, here I come." Ben grinned.
