Chapter 5: A Freezing Entrance

"You keep on grinning and smiling so much. It's giving me bad guys vibes," said Mindy. She was very suspicious of Chris.

"I'm not a bad guy.. It's just my amazing supermodel smile!" explained Chris. "I spent a lot of money and time to make my lips and teeth look incredible. The money was definitely worth it! Anyways.. Next up, is Sam Greenfield from the Luck universe!"

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Sam to appear.

"Oh my gosh! Where am I?" asked Sam. Her hair, eyebrows, and eyes were all dark brown. She was wearing her usual mini light-green flannel jacket and black jeans. Sam was surprised to see a completely red island.

"This.. Is Total Drama!" laughed Chris. He slapped a bracelet on Sam's wrist.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Chris smiled. "Total Drama is the greatest reality TV show competition on Earth!"

"Okay..? So I'm just here to watch Total Drama then?"

"Nope! You're here to compete against the others!"

"Do I have to?"

"Yup! You have to! You have no other choice. Go join the others over there," instructed Chris.

"Oh gosh.. Well, okay then," replied Sam. But suddenly, as soon as she took one step, she slipped and fell to the ground. "Oww!" She slowly got up. "I'm okay! I'm okay! I just have really bad luck sometimes." Sam took a second step.

Suddenly, a red shark leaped out of the water and tried eating Sam.

"AHHHHHH!" screamed Sam. She quickly dodged the red shark's attack just in time.

Everyone jumped out of the way to avoid the shark too. Chris jumped into Chef's big strong arms and Swiper jumped into Nick's arms.

The red shark crashed into the Dock of Shame's wooden floor. The shark's weight and the impact of the crash caused a small portion of the wooden floor to break apart and fall into the water.

"Ahhhh!" yelled the red shark as he fell back into the water.

"I'm so sorry everyone!" Sam awkwardly laughed. "I just can't seem to shake off this bad luck from me. This type of stuff always happens to me and everyone around me. I'm really sorry!"

"Girlfriend.. You have some issues with your bad luck," said Mindy with a sigh. "Isn't there a way to fix your bad luck?"

"Uhhh.. No sorry, I don't think there's a way to fix this," replied Sam.

Chef carefully placed Chris back down onto the ground.

"Thank you Chef!" said Chris.

Nick was annoyed that Swiper jumped onto his arms. So he let go off Swiper, which caused Swiper to fall to the ground.

"Owwiiieeee!" said Swiper. "That hurt my butt."

"You stink by the way," said Nick.

"Sorry," said Swiper.

"Just do what I normally do. Take nice showers with warm water and lots of soap. That'll do the trick," suggested Nick. "Or else you'll end up like Mr. Skunkells.."

Swiper's body trembled in fear. "Wh-hat happ-ppend to Mr Skunkells?"

"You don't want to know.." said Nick.

Sam carefully walked over to join the others.

"Keep your goofy ass away from me," said Damian in a cold voice. "You're fo real a bad luck bitch that'll get me fucking killed."

Sam was alarmed by what Damian said. Her face was red from the embarrassment. "I said I was sorry-"

"Bitch, I don't give a fuck about yo apology. Stay away from me."

"Okay.." said Sam in a low-spirited voice. She sighed as she walked over to move to a different spot.

"Anyways.. Next up is King Julien from the Madagascar universe!" announced Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused King Julien to appear. He began to speak, but nobody understood what King Julien was saying because he was a lemur. So Chris slapped a miniature bracelet on King Julien's tiny arm.

"OOO! Shiny.." King Julien's eyes were mesmerized by the high-tech bracelet. "I shall add this one of a kind thingy to my royal collection. Maurice, put this thingy in my royal collection. Mort, rub my feet. My feet are feeling really tingly. Wait a second.." King Julien looked around and realized Maurice and Mort weren't there. "Maurice? Mort? Where are you guys?! Great heavens! Why is this place red like red apples?"

"We don't know why the island is red.. But maybe the environmentalists I hired will find out!" explained Chris.

"Question. How is a silly human like you able to understand me?" asked King Julien.

"Science," replied Chris. "The scientific bracelet you're wearing on your arm helps me and everyone else understand you."

Pffttt. "Nonsense! Maybe Mort gave me a foot massage so splendid, that I fell asleep. This must be a dream then!"

"Right.. Why don't you dreamwalk your way over there and get to know the others?" suggested Chris.

"I don't see why not!" said King Julien. He walked over to join the others. "Bow down everyone! The party king has arrived!"

"But we're not having a party-" blurted out Swiper.

"I SAID BOW!" yelled King Julien.

Swiper immediately obeyed and bowed.

"Yes.. Now that's more like it!" said King Julien.

Hmph! "I'm not bowing to King Julien. I'm the freaking princess of Sugar Rush!" scolded Vanellope.

King Julien frowned at Vanellope. "You're a disgrace!"

Pftt. "Whatever.. I don't care," said Vanellope. She refused to bow.

"Hey King Julien, my name is Mario! I wanted to ask you something."

"Go ahead peasant," said King Julien.

"Uh, what are you king of exactly?" asked Mario.

"Ahaha! I'm the king of Madagascar! I rule the greatest kingdom in the entire world! And not only that.. But we love to have epic parties!"

"That's cool," said Mario.

Loba smiled. "Darling, your green and yellow-colored crown is fashionable."

"Thank you, my lady!" said King Julien. There was a proud look into his eyes.

"Alrighty.. Next up is Esdeath from the Akame Ga Kill! universe!" announced Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Esdeath to appear. She has light blue hair and blue eyes. Esdeath was wearing her usual white general uniform and there was a deadly sword tucked away in her sheath. Esdeath's Teigu was imprinted on her upper chest in the form of a tattoo. The power of Demon's Extract was flowing through her blood. Esdeath began to speak. But nobody could understand what Esdeath was saying because she was speaking in Japanese.

"Put a bracelet on her wrist Chef," instructed Chris.

Chef nodded. He aimed and threw the bracelet at her wrist. "Man, my accuracy with throwing stuff is really good. I feel like I got the skills to do great in hatchet throwing competitions. Maybe even cherry pie throwing contests too."

"Hm?" Esdeath carefully observed the bracelet that was thrown on to her wrist.

"It's a voice translating bracelet!" explained Chris.

"Esdeath is definitely giving me evil energy and vibes. Her face looks so serious.." murmured Mindy quietly to herself.

"Interesting.." said Esdeath. She used her fingers to gently touch the cold surface of the silver bracelet. "It would feel much more comfortable if the bracelet's surface was wrapped around in ice," she said as she used her Teigu to conjure ice on the bracelet. Ah! "Much better. Ice brings me this sensational feeling of joy. It also brings back pleasurable memories in my mind when I conjured ice to freeze and kill all of my enemies."

"Huh?! You're fucking crazy Esdeath!" said Jason with a disturbed look on his face.

"Yikes. I'm one hundred percent sure now you're a psychopath. Actually, I take that back. I'm two hundred percent sure now you're a psychopath," said Mindy.

Ahahahahaha! "You're fools.. I'm not a psychopath," said Esdeath. "Everyone I killed were either political enemies or threats to the Empire and the Emperor. And to simply put, it's pleasurable to kill them because it brings a satisfying state of peace in my mind knowing the Empire will be a better place, without dangerous enemies lurking around in the shadows."

"Alright, that makes sense I guess.." said Jason.

"I'm still convinced you're a crazy evil bitch," murmured Mindy.

"Go join the others over there," instructed Chris.

"Why should I take orders from you?" asked Esdeath.

"Because I'm the boss on this island! Go join the others now."

"So this is a different universe then.." said Esdeath.

"Yep! Now go join the others or you'll never return to your universe EVER AGAIN..!" threatened Chris.

"You're a little bastard for holding me hostage in this universe. And the way you're rudely speaking to me is tempting me to decapitate your ugly head. As soon as I decapitate your head, I'll find a way to bring your head back to the Empire for public humiliation!" said Esdeath.

"Not happening! Because I have snipers on standby that will attack you with tranquilizer darts if you try to kill me. NOW GO JOIN THE OTHERS!" yelled Chris

Esdeath's body stiffened. She was about to pull out her deadly sword from her sheath, but then she stopped. "I don't know how to return to my universe.. I must talk to people and learn how to get back to my universe. Then I'll decapitate his head!" she quietly said to herself. "Fine. I'll go join the others," declared Esdeath.

"That's great to hear!" said Chris with a grin.

She glimpsed at the Multiversal Staff that was firmly grasped in Chris' hand as she walked over to join the others.

"I think you need to chill out! If you want, I can make you a cold iced tea," offered Papa Louie.

"No thanks," said Esdeath.

Papa Louie shrugged. "If you say so!"

"Alrighty.. Next up is Henry Stickmin from the Escaping the Prison universe!" announced Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Henry to appear. His head and hands were white, but the rest of his stick figure body was black. The only thing that stood out from his appearance were his long eyes and brown shoes.

"Ouch.. He does not have a good sense of fashion," said Loba.

"Wassup Henry, welcome to Total Drama! It's great to have you here man!" said Chris.

Henry was silent. The only thing he did was blink a few times.

Chris slapped a bracelet on Henry's wrist. "Let's try this again.. Wassup Henry, welcome to Total Drama! It's great to have you here man!"

Henry remained silent. He blinked a few more times though.

"I don't think Henry can understand us because he doesn't have ears," said Chef.

"You're right, Chef! I didn't think about that.." said Chris. "Uh, go join the others over there!"

Henry didn't move an inch.

"I'll try talking slower for you. Go.. Over.. There…" instructed Chris. He pointed to where the others were standing.

After what felt like forever, Henry finally walked over to join the others.

"Whew! Finally.." Chris sighed in relief.

"Hey Henry, my name is Papa Louie! If you want, I can cook you a classic pesto pizza with tomatoes. Every bite of my pizza will make you think about the amazing streets of New York City! "

Henry remained silent.

Papa Louie awkwardly laughed. "Uh.. I can also cook a gluten-free pizza for you!"

Henry remained silent.

"I'm getting sick and tired of hearing this old bastard talk about food so much," complained Esdeath.

Papa Louie glared at Esdeath.

Loba put her hand on Papa Louie's shoulder. "It's no use. Henry won't talk. But don't worry darling, I'd be happy to try your pizza!"

"Thanks Loba!" said Papa Louie.

"Maybe Henry is shy.." said Mario.

"Alrighty.. And our last competitor is Tsireya from the Avatar: Way of the Water universe!" announced Chris.

Dark blue energy released from the Multiversal Staff, which caused Tsireya to appear. She had beautiful black hair and light blue eyes. Tsireya's cyan-colored body was similar to the color of the sea from her universe. She was wearing beads and clothing made from the Awa'atlu village, which is her home.

Tsireya fixated her light blue eyes at Chris. "Tawtute.." she murmured as she began to walk backwards.

"Chef, put a bracelet on Tsireya's wrist," instructed Chris.

"Alright," said Chef. He walked to Tsireya and tried putting the bracelet on her wrist.

Tsireya panicked and swung her arms in uneven circles, which made it tougher for Chef to put a bracelet on her wrist. But Chef managed to grab Tsireya's arm and put the last bracelet on her wrist.

"HA!" celebrated Chef.

"Thank youuu Chef! Wassup Tsireya, welcome to Total Drama!" said Chris.

"Human.. Human.. Human.." said Tsireya. She began to hyperventilate.

"Relax.. We're not bad humans. Isn't that right Chef?" asked Chris.

Chef nodded in agreement.

Ellie raised her eyebrow. "Liars.." she murmured.

"Humans!" yelled Tsireya. She used her strong legs to jump off the Dock of Shame. She landed headfirst into the red water. SPLASH! She swam as fast as she could to get away.

"She's getting away!" said Chef.

"Relax.. She'll be back soon," said Chris.

"How do you know?" asked Chef.

Chris grinned. "You'll see."

Underwater

Waaaaaaa! Waaaaaaaa! The same red shark that attacked Sam earlier was crying underwater because his belly was still empty. But then the red shark saw Tsireya swimming nearby. Hehe! The red shark grabbed a seaweed napkin that was floating in the water. Then, the red shark placed the seaweed napkin on his neck. He was ready for a delicious meal. The red shark proceeded to chase after Tsireya.

"Oh no!" said Tsireya. She panicked and swam back to the Dock of Shame.

The red shark continued to chase after Tsireya.

"Wait for it.. Wait for it.." said Chris.

"We've been waiting for five minutes and nothing is happening!" complained Chef.

Shush! "Any moment now.." said Chris.

All of a sudden, Tsireya leaped out of the red water just in time.

Grrrrrrrrr... The red shark failed once again. He swam away with an empty stomach.

Tsireya sighed in relief. "That was a close one.."

Hehe! "It's impossible to escape from this place! You'll be stuck here for a while," said Chris.

"Are you going to enslave me? Torture me?!" asked Tsireya.

"Nope! That's illegal and I would get sued. You're going to be competing in a competition against the others!" said Chris.

"Competition?"

"Yep! Go join the others over there. I'll explain more about the competition soon."

"Okay.." said Tsireya. She walked over to join the others. "Greetings everyone."

"Hey, uh, question, are you some sort of water-type Pokémon?" asked Misty.

"Pokémon? I never heard of that word before. I live among the Na'vi in the world of Pandora," explained Tsireya.

"Haha! What a coincidence. A lot of my old K-pop songs are still played on Pandora. All my songs slay," said Ji-Woon with a proud look on his face.

Tsireya blinked. She didn't understand what Misty or Ji-Woon was talking about.

"Well.. It's nice to meet ya! My name is Misty," said Misty.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Misty," said Tsireya.

Misty and Tsireya shook hands.

"Purrrrrr.. And my name is Ji-Woon!" said the K-pop singer.

Ahem! "You guys will have plenty of time to get to know each other later. I need to introduce more important information about this season of Total Drama to all of you. And then I'll reveal the teams after that," explained Chris.

"Teams?" asked Nick.

"Yep! Follow me to the Elimination Ceremony Area!" said Chris.

Everyone proceeded to follow Chris to the Elimination Ceremony Area, except for Henry.

Chef realized Henry wasn't walking with the rest of the competitors. He turned around and walked back to Henry. Chef sighed. "Sometimes I hate this job." He picked up Henry with his strong arms and carried him to the Elimination Ceremony Area.

Elimination Ceremony Area

"Alrighty. Shut up and listen up everyone!" said Chris. "I'm going to explain everything you need to know for Total Drama. For the first half of the season, you'll be competing in teams. I already picked out the teams myself."

"But what if I end up getting stuck with someone I fucking hate?" asked Guy.

Jason glanced at Guy for a moment. "I was thinking the same fucking question too.."

Bahahaha! "Too bad!" said Chris.

"Fuck you Chris," said Guy.

Chris ignored Guy and continued to talk. "For the second half of the season, you'll be competing individually in the merge. The goal is to win immunity in the pre-merge and merge. If you win immunity, you'll be safe from being eliminated!"

"Eliminated as in killed?" asked Loba. "I hope this isn't going to end up like another battle royale.."

"Nooo! I don't want to die!" cried out Mario. The adorable Luma underneath Mario's red hat began to panic.

"Me neither! I still need to pass down my great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather's secret recipe book to my grandchildren! Please don't kill me!" said Papa Louie.

"Relax.. Nobody is going to get killed on this island," said Chris. "See that cameraman?"

Everyone looked at the cameraman standing next to Chef.

"He's filming everything for TV programming and online streaming! Total Drama is a family-friendly program. Chef and I aren't going to kill anyone on this island," said Chris.

"What a shame," murmured Esdeath. "Things would've been more interesting if bloodshed and death were allowed on the island.."

"But if you get eliminated, you'll leave the island and get sent back to Canada!" said Chris. "Alright, there are two more things I need to tell you all. You're allowed to do Confessionals this season. Confessionals allow you to privately share your thoughts and deepest, darkest, secrets to the world! You can pretty much talk about anything in Confessionals."

"There's no fucking way I'm sharing my secrets to the world," complained Jason.

"Oooooo! I like the sound of Confessionals," giggled Mindy.

"Shut up and let me finish talking," said Chris with an annoyed look on his face. "There's one last thing I need to tell you all." He grabbed a mini statue of Chef Hatchet from his pocket. It was golden and shiny. "THIS IS.. a Hidden Immunechefty Idol. I'm going to hide this somewhere on the red island. If you manage to find this, you can use it in an Elimination Ceremony to save yourself from being eliminated!"

Swiper's eyes sparkled. "Shiny..!"

Chef grinned. "I like how it's a statue of me!"

"Yup! It's my appreciation gift for you Chef," said Chris. "You've done so much for the Total Drama community these past few years."

Chef raised his eyebrow. "Wait. I thought the bonus check of money was going to be my appreciation gift-"

"Oh yeahhhhhh.. I totally forgot about that," said Chris. "My bad!"

Chef groaned.

"Anyways.. It's time for me to reveal the teams!" announced Chris. "Esdeath, Nick, Sam, Papa Louie, Charmcaster, Misty, Kate, Guy, Darby, Loba, King Julien, and Nya.. You guys are officially the Red Lobsters!"

"Sounds good!" said Sam.

"YES!" screamed Guy in joy. "I'm not on the same team with that fucking asshole!" Guy glared at Jason.

"Po, Ellie, Vanellope, John, Henry, Swiper, Mario, Damian, Ji-Woon, Tsireya, Jason, and Mindy.. You guys are officially the Orange Pufferfish!" said Chris.

"We're going to totally slay the Red Lobsters!" said Ji-Woon.

Misty raised her eyebrow. Hmph! "We'll see about that!"

All of a sudden, a commercial break appeared…
