The next day...

After returning from his job to take out the Dark Guild, Ben went on another job because this was a Monday and he needed to teach at the magic school with his team. When he walked into the classroom, everyone was surprised to see the condition he was in.

But he healed to more than 85% after Wendy cast healing magic on him. Her mastery of it was still not that good, and she still wasn't able to heal broken bones instantly. She will use healing magic once a day, so Ben will be completely healed within the next 2 days.

Then, just like he did last week, Ben checked the kid's progress. They all showed good progress after training for a week. It seemed that his method was effective for these kids.

"Ben nii-chan, our regular teacher Raul is a lot friendlier and it's easier for us to understand what he's teaching now." Ron told him.

"Ooh, that's good to hear." Ben smiled at Ron's statement.

Raul, their homeroom teacher, learned a lot from what he told him. It's something that he forgot. He needed to be close with the kids. He needed to make them comfortable and shouldn't be too stiff while teaching.

Raul had become friendlier with the students and was more easygoing. He discarded the traditional method and taught the students based on their interests or even intelligence level.

He used topics that the students like when he teaches and now they understand what he's teaching. That's why now, Raul starts to learn more magic, especially those that his students learn.

'That guy isn't that. He'll be a good educator.' Ben thought.

After hearing that the students can understand what Raul was teaching them, Ben decided to change his own lesson plan. He will only train the students in combat, tips on how to take jobs as a mage and more practical things. He was going to leave the theoretical studies to Raul.

"As a mage, it's important to know how to fight, but a mage's job doesn't solely consist of fighting. I'll teach you some important stuff that you need to know as a mage." Ben told his class.

Ben then taught them some things about a mage's job in a guild. He taught them what he knew from his experiences and from what he learned from Roubaul.

After teaching that stuff in class, Ben asked them to train in the field. They learned hand-to-hand combat last week. So now they will train to fight using magic by sparring with their classmates.

Ben called Raul over to see the sparring session. They will be the referees and stop it before anything dangerous transpired. Wendy stood on the sidelines ready to heal the students if they were injured.

"We will pair you following your presence list, starting with Ron vs Mina." Ben announced.

"Yes." Ron and Mina responded.

They walked up onto the stage and got ready to fight.

"Begin!" Ben declared after noticing the 2 were ready.

"Take-Over! Animal Soul: Dog!" Mina moved quickly and immediately transformed into a dog. Her dog form was similar to a German Shepherd. But her fur wasn't black and brown, it was orange and yellow. Maybe it's because she had orange hair.

Presently, she was only able to transform into a dog. Mina can transform into a dog because she has some at home and really 'knew' about dogs.

While Mina transforms, Ron also used his fire magic. He raised his right hand in front of him and opened his palm. Then a little red magic circle appeared on his palm.

"Fire Magic: Fireball!" A small fireball appeared on top of Ron's magic circle. Then he threw the fireball at Mina, who had transformed into a dog. Mina jumped to the side and avoided the fireball, then she ran towards Ron.

He was panicking because Mina dodged his attack and he needed a few seconds to create a new fireball spell. He can only make a fireball now, and he needed time to cast it again.

Unfortunately Mina wouldn't give him the chance to make it. She ran at him fast and Ron tried to run away. But as a dog, she was a lot faster than him. She eventually caught up with him and jumped at him from behind. That caused him to fall to the ground and prevented him from fighting anymore.

"That's enough! Winner, Mina!" Ben called out, ending the sparring match.

The girls cheer, while the boys felt ashamed with Ron because he was easily defeated. Ben kept quiet and he announced the next match, Gea vs Hans.

Gea used Bubble Magic while Hans used Illusion Magic. Both were interesting and don't have a lot of power in the early stage. That's why these magics require the user to be smart while using them.

Ben started the match and both sides immediately make their move. Hans creates a white magic circle in front of him. Then 2 clones of himself materialize.

"Clone Illusion!" Hans and his clones run towards Gea in 3 different directions. While Hans materialized the clones, Gea also cast a spell. She raised both of her hands in front of her and a blue magic circle appeared.

"Soapy Bubbles!" Gea created many tiny bubbles from the magic circle. The bubbles then spread around her like a protective dome.

'Hans wants to confuse her by creating clones. But Gea created a wall of bubbles around her to detect the real Hans. The clones aren't real, so they won't pop the bubbles. Smart thinking.' Ben thought to himself, impressed with her strategy.

Ben looked at Hans and Gea, who were preparing their spells before they even clash. It seems they've learned from Ron's mistake, not preparing his next move faster.

Hans passed through the bubble dome, and the one on Gea's right side popped the bubbles, so he is the real one. Gea wanted to attack, but Hans made his move and created 2 more clones after getting inside the dome.

"He he, now you won't be able to find the real me." Hans chuckled.

"Are you sure?" Gea smirked.

She moved all the tiny bubbles to surround Hans and his clones, who haven't split apart. Through the bubbles, Gea found out that the real one was in the middle. So she ran and landed a kick from the right side at the real Hans.

Hans can't see anything with all the bubbles covering his eyes. He suddenly felt a kick on the left side of his stomach. Hans was sent flying a meter away and fell to the ground. He was fine, but Gea jumped and pinned him down.

"Stop! Winner: Gea!" Ben declared.

"YEAH!" The girls cheered while the boys have dark expressions on their faces. They've lost to the girls 2 times in a row.

'It's not really a tournament between boys and girls, but it seems they think that way.' Ben thought.

The next match was Dito vs Dan. Dito used Telekinetic Magic while Dan uses Bullet Magic. During their fight, Dan fired blue magic bullets at Dito. So Dito used a telekinetic wall to protect himself. Their battle ended after Dan ran out of magic power because his bullets couldn't pierce Dito's wall.

After that was a match between 2 girls, Olive vs Cya. Olive uses Sound Magic with a magical flute while Cya uses Water Magic. Both of them use their spells at the same time.

But then Cya's magic suddenly dispersed because she felt dizzy after hearing Olive's flute. Olive's sound magic reached Cya faster than her Water Magic bullet could reach the middle of the arena. Olive continued using her flute until Cya eventually gave up because of the dizziness.

Next is Parka vs Felice. Parka used Muscle Magic because he believes men need to be strong and muscular while Felice used Requip Magic because her father is a craftsman of magical items. So she can get the armor and weapons from her father.

They start their battle, with Parka turning into a muscular man. On the other hand, Felice turned into a heavily armored knight with a shield and sword. They clash and Felice defended with her big shield. But in the end, Parka overpowered her and sent her flying out of the arena.

The last one was Yorki, but there were no other students for him to face so Ben paired him up against Bella and Carla. Wendy was a good option, but she was too strong for him. Yorki uses Lightning Magic, and he just learned a single spell, Lightning Fists.

During the fight, Bella and Carla flew around him, making it impossible for him to hit them. Then, when he had a opening, Carla caught him from behind and Bella headbutted his stomach from the front. Bella and Carla were quite strong, so the headbutt quickly knocked Yorki out.

"Alright, you did good during your first battle using magic, but it's not enough. I will inform you of your weakness and how to fix it later, but for now, you guys will fight me together." Ben stated to the class.

"WHAT?!" The students exclaimed in shock.

"I'll show you how a mage really fights." Ben grinned at them.
