Ben's new magic revolver was finally complete after several days. He wanted to craft some magic knives with the leftover material. But it can wait until he has the time to do that. Now, he's ready to tackle another difficult job, and that's exactly what he did.
Ben went on another difficult solo job again. It involved hunting some Vulcan's that kidnapped several villagers. Roubaul deduced that the Vulcan's kidnapped them to take over their bodies.
That's why for this job, he had to be careful and avoid killing the Vulcan's that might be possessed villagers. He needed to knock them unconscious so the Vulcan's soul left the villager's bodies.
"So my new weapon will be useless against them." Ben said, disappointed that he wasn't able to use the revolver right away.
"Well, this is the job, so you have to do it. The other jobs are in other guild's territory or are too difficult. You can use your new weapon in the future." Roubaul told him.
Ben sighed and accepted the job from the guild master. He needs to be professional as a guild mage and take the job that was given to him.
The location is a village around Mt. Hakobe. That mountain is the habitat for Vulcan's who live in mountain caves. Vulcan's weren't the only things living there, a variety of monsters also lived on the mountain.
Even so, many humans chose to live near Mt. Hakobe. That place has a lot of resources even though it's dangerous, after all. It's a high-risk high-reward kind of situation.
Ben drove his car there like he usually does. But now Bella accompanied him, so he wasn't alone. Bella had a life-saving weapon now, so Ben wasn't too worried about her joining him on this job. But she still wasn't taking part in the battle.
"I need to be careful with their Take-Over magic. It's not the same as a human's Take-Over as they only take the creature's power, these Vulcans actually take over a person's body."
"In case of a mage, Gramps said they can only use their mage on a weakened mage. So I need to avoid being injured and weakened." Ben pondered.
He thought of a strategy to defeat the Vulcan's without putting the villagers in danger. It would be really difficult as he has to hold back. But if he didn't use enough power, he can't defeat the Vulcan's. The situation was very tricky.
After a hour, Ben drove up to the village that sent the request. He went to find the village chief and ask for more details. The chief explained exactly what happened to him and Bella.
8 people were kidnapped when they worked on the field. Someone saw the culprit was a Vulcan, so they sent a request to the guilds.
"8 villagers, so there should be 8 Vulcan's. Alright, I'll take care of it. Let's go, Bella!" Ben took her along to find the Vulcan's.
Ben tried to find the trails they left around the village. He finally found one and followed it towards the mountain. The trail then merged with several other trails that had a similar shape, so they must be close now.
Ben and Bella finally spot a big cave that seemed to be the home of the Vulcan's. They enter the cave and walk stealthily to avoid alerting the Vulcan's. They finally reach a big chamber and hear a Vulcan's voice.
They take a look around and see 9 Vulcans inside. A Vulcan is a primate-like monster with a big body and arms. The Vulcan in this cave had white fur and black skin.
'9. Are these all of them?' Ben thought while looking around.
He used his magic sense and doesn't detect any other Vulcan. So his targets were these 9, causing him to sigh in relief. Too many Vulcan's would make this fight too difficult.
Ben asked Bella to hide while he took the Vulcan's on. Bella nodded and hid behind a rock. He confirmed that she was hiding and then launched his attack.
"Sun Dragon Bomb!" A small sun formed on Ben's hand. Then he threw it in the middle of the group of Vulcan's. The Vulcan's were surprised, but they couldn't get away when the bomb exploded.
BOOM* The bomb exploded, but the power wasn't that strong. He reduced the power level to avoid killing the Vulcan's and causing the cave to collapse.
The Vulcan's were sent flying and crashed into the cave walls. The ones that were closest to the explosion took a lot of damage and 2 of them fell unconscious. The 2 Vulcan's turned back into villagers and the Vulcan's' souls leave their bodies.
The Vulcan's roar in anger and shout loudly at Ben. He just smirked and taunted them with his hand. The Vulcan's were intelligent and could understand Ben was looking down on them.
The 7 remaining Vulcan rush towards him. Ben used his light magic to cover his feet and sun magic to cover his hands. It would boost his movement speed and make his punch stronger.
A Vulcan jumped at Ben and threw a punch with it's big fist. Ben slid forward and slipped underneath the Vulcan. He grinned and threw a strong punch to the Vulcan's crotch.
"I heard that Vulcan's are perverts, so this is retribution." Ben said with a mischievous tone.
The Vulcan realized this too late and it's crotch was punched viciously. It fell to the ground with closed legs, a twitching body, frothing mouth and it's eyes were rolled back. Then it turned back into a villager.
"Three down, 6 to go." Ben grinned.
He looked at the other 6 Vulcan who closed their legs out of reflex and cover their crotch with their hands. They never expected Ben to be this shameless and vicious.
"If I'm not mistaken, you're all male Vulcan's, right? The female Vulcan's inhabit Rose Mountain, after all. He he, do you want me to make that thing bigger?" Ben asked with a sinister smile.
The Vulcan's shiver and shake their heads rapidly. But Ben didn't care to hear their answer and rushed at them with a sinister smile on his face. The Vulcan's panic and run away from him.
Ben quickly ran towards the Vulcan's. He got behind one and sent a kick between it's legs. The Vulcan flew upwards and receives the same fate as the previous Vulcan.
Ben wanted to chase the other 5 Vulcan's, but they rushed at him first. The Vulcan's jumped together because they were convinced Ben couldn't take them all on at once. But they were sadly mistaken.
He got closer to a Vulcan and grabbed it's fist. He redirected the fist to the 2nd Vulcan's crotch while sending a knee kick to the first Vulcan's crotch. Ben's knee hit the first Vulcan at the same time the punch hit the 2nd Vulcan.
"Double knockout." Ben said, satisfied.
The 3rd Vulcan attacked him from behind with a punch. But Ben slid backward and got under the 3rd Vulcan. The Vulcan's are 2 or 3 times taller than him, so he was now underneath the Vulcan.
Ben sent a back elbow to the 3rd Vulcan's crotch and finished it off. The 3rd Vulcan didn't turn back into a human. So it didn't take over a human body.
Then when the last 2 Vulcan's came over to him, Ben threw the 3rd Vulcan at them and halted their movement. When they stop, Ben flashes over to their crotch and threw two punches with both his hands.
The last 2 Vulcan's also fall unconscious too and transform back into a human. Then for the one that didn't transform back, Ben beat it up again to be certain. But even after he kicked and punched it's crotch numerous times until it was swollen, the Vulcan doesn't transform.
"Good, it's a real Vulcan's body. But finally, I defeated every Vulcan even though I used an 'unusual' technique." Ben said.
"Despicable." Bella told him.
"You don't need to be so direct." He sweat dropped at her.
Even if Ben was despicable, his job was completed easily.
