The exam continued and the E-Class students kept winning their battles even though they had gone up against S-Class students. In the end, all E-Class students made it to the top 32.
Now the students had a half hour to rest before their battles for the top 16. Ben just told his students to rest and restore their magic power for the next round. A half hour was enough for them to fully restore their magic power because they didn't use too much of it.
After a half hour, the tournament recommenced. Now the defeated students were watching to learn from the battles. Some even took notes about the strategies used in the matches.
The top 32 was dominated by S and E-Class students. There were 11 students from E-Class which was all of them. The S-Class had 13 students left after 7 were defeated by E-Class students.
The remaining 8 students were from A-Class who had 4, B-Class who had 2, C-Class with one and surprisingly there was 1 D-Class student.
The C and D-Class student were fortunate to face some weak D-Class students in the previous rounds. But they weren't so lucky because all of their opponents were very strong.
The match's random drawing started and the results came out. 3 E-Class students would fight with B, C and D-Class students. 2 E-Class students would fight with A-Class students. 4 E-Class students would fight with S-Class students.
Then finally, 2 would face each other. They were Ron, the Fire Magic user and Dito, who used Telekinetic Magic. Both of them are strong and often spar with each other.
"Dito, let's settle this! We have 9-9 scores, so whoever wins this will be the winner before we graduate." Ron said with a grin.
"Sure." Dito also grinned.
The match started and the ones who came up were Dan and Cya. Dan would fight a S-Class student and Cya would fight a B-Class student. They calmly walked into the arena because they knew their top competitors weren't students from other classes, but their own classmates.
Cya easily won her match against the boy from B-Class that used Earth Magic. She used her Water Magic to send him flying out of the arena before he could even use a spell.
Like Cya, Dan easily defeated his S-Class opponent. He fired Bullet Magic at his opponent before the S-Class student could do anything. The S-Class student used Speed Magic, but he wasn't fast enough to cast his spell.
The next 3 matches were for Olive, Parka and Yorki. Olive was up against a C-Class student, Parka was up against a B-Class student and Yorki was up against a A-Class student. The three of them also easily won their battles.
Olive used her Sound Magic to put her opponent to sleep before he could even move. Parka transformed into a muscular giant and that caused his opponent to instantly concede. Yorki moved quickly with his Lightning Magic to avoid his opponent's icy spears and knocked his opponent out with a single punch.
There weren't any difficulties with the E-Class student's battles. Even the ones who faced S-Class students won easily. Then finally the last group came up. It was time for Ron and Dito's fight.
Gea and Felice were also in this group and they fought S-Class students. There was also a S-Class match between 2 S-Class students in the last arena. Even so, all eyes were focused on Ron and Dito's match, not the S-Class match.
"Ron, Dito don't fight just yet! Wait for us to finish! It won't take that long." Gea called out to them.
"Sure." Ron and Dito replied after looking at each other.
The S-Class students that will face Gea and Felice became angry. But witnessing their classmates' defeat, Gea's words turned out to be accurate. Now they looked down and clenched their fists in frustration.
"Heh, look at their cheekiness. They're learned how to play with their opponent's emotions." Ben said from his seat with a smirk.
The matches soon commenced, but Ron and Dito remained still. They looked at Gea and Felice's fight. They easily and quickly won. They defeated their opponents before any spells could be cast.
Then after Gea and Felice's battles concluded, Ron and Dito started their battle. Ron covered his hands and legs in fire before running over to Dito who covered his body in telekinetic energy and floated in the air.
The other students were impressed with Ron and Dito's speed as they formed their spells. Their speed was impressive for students that had only been learning magic for a year. Even the adults were impressed by this.
Ron ran over to Dito who lifted small rubble spread out across the arena from the previous battles into the air. He then flung the rubble at Ron, who stopped running and used a defensive spell.
Ron spun his body and protected himself with a ball of fire. The rubble hit the fire and the clash generated several small explosions. When Dito's attacks ceased, Ron canceled his defensive spell.
"What's wrong Dito? You know long range attacks are useless against me now." Ron said with a smirk.
"Heh, I'm just testing the water." Dito replied with a smirk.
Dito then covered his body in more telekinetic magic. Now he exuded a white aura and his eyes also glowed white. Then he flew to Ron who also ran towards him with fire covering his hands and legs.
They met and grinned before throwing a punch at each other. This is their favorite combat style, direct combat like a man. Although they often used long range combat with other students, they always fight head on in their battles.
Ron and Dito send punches and kicks at each other without defending. Their excitement increases as the battle continues, and they exert more strength and speed. Their clashes produce booming sounds that spread all over the field.
The audience was drawn in by their battle that seemed very interesting. The students were shocked by their power and endurance. They don't know how they could have such strong attack power while also having a strong defense.
"I hope they don't go too far and hurt each other that badly." Olive said with a worried tone.
"Don't worry, they know their limit. They also won't hurt each other badly. They're good friends, after all." Dan reassured her.
Ron and Dito continue sending punches and kicks at each other while defending or taking the attacks with their body. They were hit many times, but neither of them wanted to go down and continued trying to stand.
They kept fighting for 9 minutes, just 1 minute away from the time limit. They received a lot of injuries and were very tired now. They look at the time and then at each other.
"Let's end this quickly, Dito." Ron told him.
"Yeah, let's use all of our power." Dito agreed.
Ron and Dito distance themselves and charge their magic. Then they run towards each other with their full powered punch. Their punch connected and created a bigger impact than the last few clashes.
They were in a stalemate and both of them thought the same thing. They each send a uppercut at each other and hit each other's jaw. It flung them upwards and sent them falling to the ground.
Both of them lay on the ground and attempt to stand up. It was difficult for them to stand up with their injuries. Then after several tries, the only one who could stand up was Ron. Dito wasn't able to stand and then fainted.
Ron raised his hands into the air and the audience roared in excitement. The battle looked like a final match. Ben also smiled seeing neither of them give up until they were no longer able to move. They already had the mentality to be great mages.
