"Jaune go find a band! Jaune it'll be easy! Just don't be awkward! Yeah? Well if it's so easy why didn't she do it!" Jaune groaned

Currently, our blonde dork Knight was walking the streets of Vale, and he was mostly in the part of the city where bars, clubs, and all sorts of things took place. Why you may ask? Simple.

Jaune was forced- er! I mean politely told by his good friend Yang Xiao-Long who never threatened him with physical violence, to look for a band for the Vytal ball as they needed a music group for the dance. However, it has been an hour and some bands refused because they didn't believe him or for some other reason, they didn't accept.

Jaune let out a heavy sigh, "Why me?" Jaune asked

Jaune was many things, a good cook, a good dancer, a comic book extraordinaire, and a good singer... as long as he wasn't nervous (which he was when he tried to serenade Weiss). But a social person? Jaune was terrible at being social! It took him time to build up the courage to talk to strangers! Hell, he was still so awkward around his whole team as well as team RWBY the first two weeks of Beacon. But he would do as he was tasked... or Yang's fist would say hello to his face.

Jaune walked down the street and saw the last bar on the street. Jaune looked at the bar's small little advertisement board that was next to its door.

"Welcome to the Oakhaven Bar! Tonight is Music night at we have a very special band performing tonight! The Hex Girls! Yes, tonight witness the amazing music produced by Vale's own local band!"

"The Hex Girls huh...?" Jaune thought to himself, "Why have I heard their name before?"

Jaune didn't think too hard about it and entered the Bar as quickly as he could. Inside, he saw how awesome the bar looked, it screamed pop-punk, But also a bit Halloween-ish? There were bats decorated in a few places as well as vines and Jaune could see hints of smoke floating around the bar.

"You ready sisters?"

"Ready!"

Jaune heard the conversation and then heard a guitar playing as well as the beating of drums and he walked to the source. That's when he saw them. Three girls on stage who he figured to be the Hex Girls.

The Guitarist was a slender, young female with long black hair, which had red highlights at the roots and ends, pale skin, and green eyes. She wore a black and red dress with red sleeves draping down her shoulders, the dress had both legs showing, and she had a red sash around her waist. She had black ankle-strapped high heels with red tints, red and black fingerless gloves that end at the elbow, and a red bat necklace. Her make-up consisted of no eyeshadow with red and black lipstick. She also has red nails and Jaune noticed her canines were longer than normal, which made Jaune wonder if she may be Faunus or if they may be fake.

The Drummer also had a pale complexion, and Jaune noticed she had a beauty mark on her cheek and her blonde hair was styled in pigtails, tied with green bauble-like hair ties. She wore a long-sleeved dark green top with a matching green skirt, that has a slit in it, and wore dark purple ankle boots. Around her neck was a black choker, an "X" shaped necklace, and hanging from her ears were green triangle earrings. Her makeup consisted of black eye shadow with green and black lipstick.

Then there was the Keyboardist, She had dark red hair, black eyes, and a tan complexion, she wore a dark purple coat with a black shirt underneath, a long purple skirt with a slit at the hem, which shows part of her dark purple-black boots, and a pair of gold hoop earrings, a gold necklace with a purple stone was around her neck, and around her hands were purple fingerless gloves, and around her eyes was purple eyeshadow and she also wore purple and black lipstick.

The guitarist was facing away from him on stage as they began to play, but then she quickly turned around and face him and she looked at him directly and gave him a smile and a wink, which made Jaune jump a little as he didn't know if that was part of the act or she did that on purpose, but it made him blush a little.

"~I'm gonna cast a spell on you~! You're gonna do what I want you to~ Mix it up here in my little bowl~ Say a few words and you'll lose control~ I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~!" The guitarist sang "~I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~!"

Jaune was amazed by how beautiful they sand, in fact, he might have just taken the song literally now as he was sure that their voices definitely cast a spell on him! the way they sounded was memorizing, how he had never heard of these girls before was insane.

"~You'll feel the fog As I cloud your mind~ You'll get dizzy When I make the sign~ You'll wake up in the dead of night Missing me when I'm out of sight~! I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~! I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~!" She continued to sing, but then the music sort of began to slow and die down, and the Guitarist looked at Jaune and pointed at him and gave him a smile, "~With this little cobweb potion~ You'll fall into dark devotion~ If you ever lose affection I can change your whole direction~!"

The music kicked back up and the girls played again and Jaune just smiled and enjoyed their playing and their singing

"I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~! I'm a Hex Girl~! And I'm gonna put a spell on you~! We're gonna put a spell on all of you~!" She finished as the music died down and the song ended.

Jaune clapped at their performance and they smiled when they heard him applauding. The Guitarist set down her guitar, which was in the shape of a bat now that he noticed it, and walked off stage and walked over to him

"Thanks," She said "What are you doing here though? place doesn't open until later tonight," She told him

"I-I know that I was... well you see..." Jaune stuttered out, he was trying to speak but now that he got a closer look at her, she was really beautiful!

"Hey, wait a minute!" Chimed in the Keyboardist as she got off stage, "You're huntsmen aren't you?" She asked

Jaune nodded, "W-Well Huntsmen-in-training to more accurate," Jaune replied

"Ah, you're a student then," Replied the guitarist, "but that still doesn't explain what you're doing here?" she replied

"W-Well you see, I-I'm looking for a band to play at the Vytal Ball and I-I was wondering if you guys would... like to be the music for that night?" Jaune asked hesitantly

"Whoa! playing for the Vytal Ball! That's a pretty sweet Gig!" Said the Keyboardist,

"It does sound tempting," The guitarist said "Hmmm, let me and my sisters talk about it," replied the Guitarist.

Jaune nodded and the Guitarist and Keyboardist went back on stage to talk to the Drummer. Jaune could tell they were whispering but didn't make out any words, but he hoped they would accept or else he was going to be flying to the moon when he told Yang he wasn't able to find a band.

Finally, they broke apart and got off stage and walked over to Jaune, they all were smiling which Jaune took as a good sign,

"you got yourself a band, Huntsmen," said the Guitarist

Jaune smiled and let out a sigh if relief, and then looked at them, "Awesome!" Jaune said, "Thank you so much, huh...?"

The guitarist chuckled, "I'm Thorn," She replied, she then gestured at the Keyboardist "This is Luna,"

"Sup," Luna said with a wave

Thorn then gestured to the Drummer, "And this is Dusk," Thorn told him

"Hi," She said, sounding like she was hissing

"Oh, well, it's awesome to meet you guys, I'm Jaune Arc," Jaune said

"Nice to meet you Jaune," Thorn said, "So when do we play?"

"Um, next week on Friday Night," Jaune said

"Sounds good," Thorn replied, "But we are gonna have to go to Beacon and check out the setup there, as well as what kind of songs you guys are gonna want,"

Jaune nodded, "Sounds good, does tomorrow sound good for you guys to come to Beacon?" Jaune asked Thorn

"Yeah," Thorn replied

"Awesome, I'll let Yang and the Headmaster know as soon as I get back," Jaune said

Thorn nodded, "Mind if we have your Scroll number?" Thorn said "I hear Beacon's a pretty big place, and we may need a guide," Thorn told him with a wink and a smile

Jaune blushed and he felt really awkward but he had a goody smile on his face and smiled, "S-S-Sure!" Jaune said

he exchanged contact with them and bid them farewell until tomorrow, they thanked him for the opportunity and also said goodbye as he left. Once he left the bar, Luna looked over at Thorn and gave her a smile, which Thorn saw and gave her a confused look.

"What?" Thorn asked

"We may need a guide at Beacon, huh?" Luna asked

Thorn grumbled, "Yeah, I heard Beacon's pretty big and confusing, so I thought he could show us around, what's wrong with that?"

"What about that wink and smile you gave him?" Dusk asked

"Oh come on, I was just fooling around," Thorn said as she rolled her eyes

"Right," They both said

Thorn scoffed and rolled her eyes with a smile. Thought, she would admit, Jaune was cute, in a golden retriever sort of way.

How was it? I was watching "The witches ghost" the other day and thought about making something like this because I for some reason thought of Jaune being a dork/goof/awkward Knight being teased by the girls that were my first crushes.

Do you know how some people blame cartoons for giving them their taste of women? Yeah, I'm one of those people... Blame the amazing goth and goth-esthetic cartoon gals for my taste!

For now, this is it as I don't plan to update this story as frequently as my other stories, so its update is slow, but I hope you guys like this, and I do plan on continuing it when I feel like it/when I figure out the story more,

Edit: but I also do plan on having some scooby doo like mysteries in the story
