The underground chamber was filled with magical creatures. One of them even spoke human language and talked with a woman's voice. Ben wasn't able to see the creature's appearance because of the darkness, but he knew all of them were centipede-like creatures.
'I can't fight recklessly here, otherwise I'd cause a cave-in. It's also dark, so I need to max out my magic sense. My options are very limited, but I can't complain now. At least Bella's not here, otherwise this will be a lot trickier.' Ben thought.
"Don't bother resisting, human. You won't be able to defeat my children. I am the strongest and as my offspring, they too are the strongest. Hi hi hi." The creature with the female voice said.
"Strongest? You're overestimating yourself. Maybe you're the strongest on this island, but you're nothing in the outside world. You are just a frog in a well." Ben said as he prepared his magic power.
"Frog?! I am not a frog, I am the Metepede Queen, Grossalia." Grossalia angrily said.
"Metepede? Is it because you've grown past centi and became meter? Heh, what a funny name for a species. Also, Grossalia, a good name for something gross like you." Ben smirked.
Grossalia was fuming because she knew Ben was insulting her.
"MY CHILDREN, KILL THAT HUMAN!" She ordered.
The Metepedes roar and start to move towards Ben. He can sense many enemies moving all over the place. The ground, walls, ceilings, they came from everywhere.
"Light Mode: Super Bright Body!" Ben shouted.
His body glowed brightly and it repelled the creatures. Their eyes have gotten used to the darkness, so a sudden bright flash of light hurt their eyes.
"SCREECH!" The creatures screamed.
"Ho, so you still have eyes. I thought you didn't have them because you don't need eyes in a dark place like this. And I can finally see what you look like." Ben smirked.
He looked around and saw many giant centipedes, no, Metepedes. He could also finally see the one that was speaking human language, Grossalia.
Grossalia was the biggest Metepede in this room. She had a dark red body with wavy green patterns. She just looked like a giant centipede, but she had the upper body of a woman on her Metepede head.
"TURN THAT LIGHT OFF, HUMAN!" Grossalia shouted.
"Not gonna happen." Ben remarked.
Grossalia became angry and she fired a dark blue liquid from her Metepede mouth at Ben. He zipped to the left and easily avoided the liquid. The liquid hit the ground and smoke came out of it.
"Acidic poison? That's dangerous." Ben noted after seeing the smoke.
Grossalia then slammed one of her Metepede legs into the ground. Some earth walls appeared around Ben and trap him inside. The room became dark again and the Metepedes moved towards Ben again.
"Requip: Dragon Revolver V1!" Ben's voice was heard from within the walls.
BANG BANG BANG*
Ben fired his revolver through the walls. His shots pierced the earth walls and the bullets sped toward the incoming Metepedes. He used Fire element bullets that had more power.
The bullets hit the E-Class Metepedes and pierce their carapaces. Some bullets also hit the B-Class Metepedes, but their carapaces were tough enough to block the bullets.
The earth walls surrounding Ben were destroyed and the room became bright again. Ben wielded a magic revolver and aimed it at the Metepedes.
"I don't like using my magic weapon if I still have a lot of magic power. But there are too many of you, so I'll make a exception this time. And it seems one is not enough. Requip: Dragon Revolver V2!" Ben exclaimed.
A magic circle appeared on Ben's left hand and another magic revolver appeared. Now Ben was wielding 2 magic revolvers.
The 2 weapons had the same shape and same pattern. They still have the same dragon carving design on both sides, but their color is different.
The one on the right is the Dragon Revolver V1 and it has a red color with a yellow dragon carving. The one on the left is the Dragon Revolver V2 that has a black color with a orange dragon carving.
Both weapons have the same specification, so they have the same power. It's just that V1 was the first magic revolver that Ben made. He thought of making a spare last year, so he made V2.
'My bullets can easily pierce through the E-Class Metepedes easily, but they couldn't pierce the B-Class Metepedes. If that's the case.' Ben thought.
"Let's kill the E-Class Metepedes first." Ben said after raising his weapons into the air.
He then moved at very high speed thanks to Light Mode. He shot at the E-Class Metepedes while he moved. The bullets pierced their carapaces and left holes in their bodies.
The Metepedes can see Ben's movements because he was really bright, but they still can't keep up with his speed so they can't fight back. Many E-Class Metepedes were shot and quickly died.
The death of her children made the queen, Grossalia, furious. She didn't have love or anything else for her children. But they are her troops that she used to do anything she wanted. Losing them also meant losing some of her power.
"GRR, GET ANGRY, MY CHILDREN!" Grossalia shouted to her children.
"SCREECH!" The Metepedes produce a loud scream after hearing her command.
The Metepedes' screams were so high-pitched that the earth began to shake. Unfortunately, Ben was a Dragon Slayer. His senses are a lot higher than normal people's and so is his hearing.
The screams hurt his ears and make him stand still. He covered his ears, but he could still hear the high-pitched screams. His Light Mode also became unstable because his brain was shaking.
Grossalia saw this and commanded her stronger children to attack Ben. The 17 B-Class Metepedes move towards Ben at the same time. They surrounded him from every side and are ready to attack him.
Ben realized this, but the screams made his extremely dizzy, so he can't move now. The 17 B-Class Metepedes start to fire stone bullets from their legs.
The stone bullets poured down on Ben like rain. He couldn't use magic in his condition, so he assumed a defensive position. At least he will protect his body's vital areas from the stone bullets.
But assuming a defensive position caused him to uncover his ears. So now he can hear the screams a lot more clearly and it really hurt his ears and brain. He can only hold it as the stone bullets start to hit him.
BAM BAM BAM*
Hundreds of stone bullets rained down at Ben in a short amount of time. The Metepedes have a lot of legs and they fired stone bullets from each leg. They fired the bullets multiple times, so there were hundreds or even thousands of bullets that were aimed at Ben.
The attacks ceased after a minute, but so many stones have been fired. Dust and smoke spread around the area and nothing was visible.
The dust faded shortly afterward and now there was a small mountain comprised of stone bullets. Ben was buried under the stones and there was no movement at all.
"Is he dead?" Grossalia asked herself.
"Like this is enough to kill me." Ben scoffed underneath the stones.
BAM*
The stones and mountain suddenly explode and revealed his condition. Blood was pouring out of his wounds, but he was very lively. A grin was plastered on his face even though his body was covered in wounds.
"It's been a long time since I was injured this badly. It seems I'm still not good enough." Ben said, grinning with excitement.
