3 B-Class Metepedes in the underground room have just been killed by Ben. Now there were 14 B-Class and 2 low level S-Class Metepedes that he needed to kill before taking Grossalia on.
All 14 of the remaining B-Class Metepedes charged towards Ben. They attacked him together because 3 of their friends died when they fought him one on one. That's why they banded together to attack him.
Ben wasn't able to see his surroundings as a result of the darkness and mist. But his magic sense resolved that problem and helped him sense the enemies' location. Besides, he had gotten used to the darkness and could see a little.
The 14 B-Class Metepedes attack him together. A row of sharp stone spikes attacked Ben from below. He was forced to jump clear to avoid the stone spikes.
Ben took a few steps back and the Metepedes pursued him. They kept firing stone bullets while some of them made stone spikes.
The attacks that forced him to move back pissed Ben off a little. He then came up with a plan and jumped back a little. Ben gathered magic power in his mouth and then a orange magic circle formed in front of his mouth.
"Sun Dragon Plasma Roar!" He yelled.
A stream of plasma energy stormed out of his mouth. He aimed it at the 14 B-Class Metepedes that were pursuing him. The roar was quite wide and covered a large area. Ben made it so he was able to hit all 14 B-Class Metepedes at the same time.
The roar covered a wide are and hit all 14 B-Class Metepedes. Some of them that moved to the side had time to evade it. But the ones in the center weren't able to evade it and were engulfed by plasma energy.
"SCREECH!" The Metepedes that were hit by the roar screamed.
The roar only lasted for 15 seconds, but it destroyed a large section of the underground room. Out of the 14 B-Class Metepedes that were his target, Ben's attack hit 10 of them. They were hit and pushed back into the wall behind them.
They screeched in pain because the roar was really hot and highly destructive. Their tough carapaces crack and become brittle, while their flesh was cooked by the high temperature. They tried to protect their bodies with magic, but the pain made their magic unstable.
It wasn't long before the Metepede's tough carapaces break and their bodies are destroyed. Ben killed 10 B-Class Metepedes with that attack, destroying the ground and parts of the wall in the process.
The 4 B-Class Metepedes that evaded Ben's attack earlier didn't come out unscathed. Parts of their legs or carapaces were destroyed by the plasma energy.
"I hope that wouldn't cause this underground room to cave in. I didn't have a choice, but I need to be more careful next time." Ben said after seeing the destruction his attack left.
He was still worried about the underground room caving in from his attacks. He didn't want to be buried alive as a result of his own mistake. That's why he had to be cautious when using his magic.
His spell made the Metepedes wary. They never thought Ben had such a powerful spell. The Metepede's didn't have the ability to sense magic power, so they weren't able to sense his raw magic power.
While the Metepedes were distracted, Ben proceeded to attack them. He needs to eliminate the 4 remaining B-Class Metepedes. As for the 2 S-Class and Grossalia, he would deal with them later.
Ben then created 2 red magic circles using both his hands. Then a red glowing spear appeared in each magic circle. He pointed his hands at 2 of the remaining B-Class Metepedes.
"Sun Dragon Plasma Spears!" The plasma spears were thrown forward. They fly at high speed towards the 2 B-Class Metepedes. But Ben didn't fire just one, he fired several rounds of spears.
The plasma spears stabbed all 4 of the B-Class Metepedes. Ben initially aimed for only 2, but then he also aimed at the last 2 B-Class Metepedes. They couldn't dodge the spears because they were too fast.
After the spears stabbed the B-Class Metepedes, the plasma energy erupted. The spears exploded inside the Metepedes' bodies and destroyed them internally.
"As long as I'm able to pierce those tough carapaces, this will be easy. Your bodies are quite weak internally." Ben smirked.
Grossalia and her 2 remaining children can only look at Ben angrily now. He killed most of the Metepedes except them. She had nurtured them over the last 100 years, but Ben wiped them out in a single day.
It wasn't that easy for Grossalia to raise her children to become this strong. This island had a limited food source, so she needed to control it's ecosystem or her colony would die from hunger.
The lack of food was the reason her colony had only 200 members even after 100 years passed. Most of her children are weak because they couldn't eat too much or they wouldn't have any food in the future.
She planned to relocate her home to another island, but she doesn't anything outside this island. She had no idea where to go as she couldn't swim to reach another island.
However, she knew that she would need to cross the ocean one day. That's why she amassed her strength and raised her children. She will find a way to cross the ocean, so she needed to prepare soon.
Now, after seeing the children she raised for 100 years die easily, she was mad. It wasn't that she loved her children, but because they are her power source. She only saw them as troops to be used.
Ben had no idea what Grossalia was thinking, but she was angry. This battle will be a lot more difficult than the last one. So he got ready and prepared himself.
"How dare you kill my children. I won't forgive you, human. You will regret what you have done to me." Grossalia spoke in a low, angry voice.
"Oi oi oi, I was just protecting myself because you want to eat me." Ben calmly stated.
"SHUT UP! YOU MADE ME ANGRY, SO I WILL KILL YOU!" Grossalia shouted.
"Then just do it. If you can that is." Ben grinned.
"AIS, BIS, FILL YOUR STOMACHS!" Grossalia shouted at the 2 S-Class Metepedes.
Ben was surprised that Grossalia named her children. Although it was apparent that only the 2 S-Class Metepedes had names and they follow the alphabet. But at least she thought of names for them. Ben was somewhat impressed.
However, what he saw next didn't impress him one bit. It grossed him out and he would've puked if his heart was weak. But this sight also confused him and he had no idea what to do.
What Ben saw was the 2 S-Class Metepedes, Ais and Bis, consuming their siblings. When Grossalia told them to fill their stomachs, he didn't expect them to eat their dead siblings.
"I'm really glad I told Bella to leave. This would traumatize her for life." Ben stated.
Ais and Bis consume their dead siblings quickly like they hadn't had food in years. Ben didn't know why they were eating instead of attacking him, but he knew it wasn't without a reason, so he struck first.
Ben wanted to move while they were eating, but some dark blades attacked him. The blades were a result of Grossalia using her dark magic. She knew Ben intended to interrupt Ais and Bis, so she stopped him from doing so.
Ben was forced to dodge the blades, as they were very strong. He couldn't take a high level S-Class creature's attacks lightly. Even basic attacks like this were highly destructive.
While Ben dodged the attacks, Ais and Bis finished their meal. Nothing was left of the Metepedes' dead bodies. Then, both Ais and Bis' carapaces cracked and a new layer appeared.
"Fuck, they just got stronger." Ben cursed out loud.
