The 2 S-Class Metepedes, Ais and Bis powered up after consuming their dead siblings. They evolved from mid-level S-Class to low level S-Class.

Ben had no idea consuming magical creatures can increase magical power this quickly. Well, considering Grossalia obtained her magic power from consuming a mage's corpse, it seemed possible for her offspring to do the same thing.

"A.I Chip, is this a trait unique to these creatures?" Ben asked.

[No, humans are also capable of gaining the power of magical creatures that they consume.]

"What?! But I've never obtained any magical power from the magical creatures I've eaten." Ben said, surprised.

[No, your magic power actually increased after you ate the magical creatures. It was a small increase, but it is there. If you ate the creatures raw, then you would get more magic power.]

"Ugh, that's impossible." He stated in disgust.

He would never eat raw meat if it wasn't an emergency. But he had his fire magic, so it was almost impossible for him to consume raw meat in the first place. Just imaging it shook him to the core.

"But why didn't I get a magic like Grossalia even after consuming so many magical creatures?" Ben asked.

[You can only gain the power of a creature that's around your rank or higher. In the case of humans, the magical creatures with the same rank are demons. The ones ranked higher are dragons and gods.]

"So if I eat a demon, dragon or god, I will acquire their magic?" Ben asked.

[There is a possibility, yes. However, it will depend on your compatibility. If you weren't a Dragon Slayer already, then it will be easier for you to gain magic by eating that creature's meat. However, as a Sun Dragon Slayer, your options are quite limited now. Your only choice is creatures with similar magic to your Sun Dragon Slayer magic.]

"So I can't eat creatures with different magic types?" He questioned.

[You could, but it will slow your progress down. A similar power means that you can make them progress at the same time. But a different power means you will need to train them separately and that will take more time.]

"Hmm, so it's a matter of training and improving the magic, huh?" Ben stroked his chin.

[Yes. Having many different types of magic isn't necessarily a good thing. Having one strong weapon is better than having many average weapons. Are you planning to eat those creatures?]

"No, I'm just curious. Although it would give me more options if I ever found myself in a situation where I had to eat those things." Ben said.

Ben then remembered that bathing in the blood of a dragon can strengthen a Dragon Slayer's magic. Maybe this case is similar, but not everything can work. Some unknown factors could affect the result.

While Ben thought about that, the 2 S-Class Metepedes moved to attack him. They quickly crawled towards him while screeching loudly. Ben focused on the battle again.

Suddenly, the ground beneath him shook and many earth spears popped out of the ground. The spears came out from both sides so Ben was forced to move to the front of the incoming Metepedes.

Ben realized that the S-Class Metepedes can use earth and dark elements. The B-Class Metepedes were only able to use the earth element. As for the E-Class Metepedes, they were only able to strengthen their bodies with magic.

The problem was, Ben had no idea what magic Grossalia had. It was clear that she could use the earth and dark elements, but she might have more elements that she can use.

Ben was still in his Plasma Mode and he ran towards the 2 S-Class Metepedes. While he was running, the Metepedes fired many big dark and earth element bullets at him from their mouths.

Ben didn't dodge due to the earth spears that kept coming out around him. So he deflected the element bullets using his punches while he was running.

When he reached the 2 Metepedes, Ben leaped at them and prepared a punch. But suddenly, a dark energy blade appeared from behind him. Grossalia attacked him while he was focused on the 2 Metepedes.

Ben can't allow himself to be hit by the blade because it is very strong. So he spun his body in mid-air and used his punch to hit the dark blade. But it left him open and the 2 Metepedes take advantage of it.

They cover their heads with dark energy and headbutt Ben from 2 different directions. Dark element magic is their strongest magic, so they used it to attack him. Ben spread his hands out to block the headbutts.

The 2 Metepedes hit Ben with their heads at the same time and there was a large impact. Ben was in the middle and he caught the 2 Metepedes' heads. He exerted all his strength to hold their heads back.

While Ben kept the 2 Metepedes at bay, Grossalia made her move. She was the biggest of all the Metepedes and easily towered over the 2 S-Class Metepedes. She moved forward and appeared above Ben who was still holding the 2 S-Class Metepedes' back.

"Now, you can't run away." Grossalia grinned.

"Shit." Ben cursed.

Grossalia suddenly sprayed a purple liquid from her Metepede mouth at Ben. Since he was unable to move, Ben was hit by the liquid. He was pushed to the ground and crashes into it.

Ben was now covered in purple liquid, but the heat of his magic evaporated it. However, the evaporated liquid entered his nose after he took a breath. Then suddenly, he felt dizzy and his body was aching.

"Poison?!" Ben exclaimed in surprise.

"Hi hi hi, even if you're strong, my poison will still affect you. Poison is my species' trait, but none of my children have poison because they weren't born as centipedes. Only I possess the poison and it's a very deadly one. No one has survived being subject to my poison in the last 100 years. So you can say goodbye to your life today." Grossalia said in a haughty tone.

"Damn, the poison is inside my body. This is not good. A.I Chip, can you check my body?" Ben asked.

[Scanning...a deadly poison has entered your body. It will slowly weaken your muscles and neurons. You will become completely paralyzed in 20 minutes. Death estimation is 3 days. Immediate treatment is needed.]

"Fuck. It's that deadly, huh? What kind of treatment do I need to take?" Ben asked.

[Consuming the antidote for the poison.]

"I don't have it. Any other solutions?" He questioned, clutching his dizzy head.

"Drinking her blood? That's disgusting." Ben grimaced.

"Tch, so I have no other alternative, huh? Fine, I'll drink that giant bug's blood even if it's disgusting." Ben clicked his tongue.
