The destruction of his guild hall enraged Jose. He was the only one that hadn't been pushed back by Ben's attack. The old guy used his magic to cover himself and stick to the ground so he wasn't pushed back.
The destruction also surprised everyone on the battlefield. Such a big and strong building was destroyed in an instant. So of course it would get everyone's attention.
Even the massive Jupiter cannon fell from it's position and sank in the river. It didn't actually sink though, it stood in the river. The long barrel stabbed the riverbed and made it stand tall because the barrel's length is longer than the river's depth.
The Element 4 were relived that they ran out of the building or they would've been hit by the attack that destroyed their guild hall. But they can't relieved with their situation because their enemies are stronger than they thought.
As for Ben, he had a smile on his face.
"Hmm, not bad for a new spell. There's room for improvement, but still it wasn't a bad result." He said.
Ben was satisfied with his spell's power, but he still thought it's not strong enough. This spell is brand new though, so he wasn't disappointed with it's power. He just needed to improve it further now after having a chance to test it's current power.
The spell Ben just used is one of the gravity element's powers. By utilizing the element to increase and decrease gravity, he has made pulling and pushing spells. The sudden decreased of gravity with him as the center has created a strong pushing force and he also combined it with energy release.
"Will you just stay there, old man?" Ben asked Jose with a grin.
"Don't get too full of yourself, kid!" Jose yelled as he dispels his shades.
The shades that fought the Fairy Tail mages suddenly disappear. This caused them to be relieved, but they were also confused because the enemies were suddenly gone. They all look at the destroyed Phantom Lord guild hall because they thought Jose had been defeated.
But when they see a gigantic dark liquid matter on the ground, they changed their mind. They knew Jose hadn't been defeated and he is very angry now. A Wizard Saint's anger is a very frightening thing for them.
"I've never seen him this angry. That guy is done for." Gajeel said.
"But who is that guy?" Natsu asked.
"Huh? Isn't he one of your guild mates?" Gajeel questioned while looking at Natsu strangely.
"No, I don't know him." Natsu confessed.
"Hmm, so who is he? Wait! Why are we talking like we're friends now? We are still fighting right now." Gajeel said in realization.
Gajeel and Natsu started to fight again with neither of them being able to eat their elements because they were on the riverbed. There's no fire or iron around them that they can eat to restore their magic power, so they can only use what they already have.
On Phantom's destroyed headquarters, Ben looked at a gigantic liquid purple ball above Jose. It was Jose's shades that have been manipulated into something like a jellyfish ball. The jellyfish shade had many big arms on it's body.
Jose controls the jellyfish shade to attack Ben using it's arms. Ben dodged the first punch and saw it had a lot of power in it that made the ground break. A barrage of punches is sent from the jellyfish shade towards Ben and he flashes around in Light Mode to dodge them.
Ben tried to attack Jose, but the old man protected himself with some shade tentacles. The tentacles block all of Ben's attacks, whether they were long-ranged or short-ranged attacks. They are strong enough to block his roar and can reform themselves after being destroyed.
"Your struggle is useless, kid. I will show you the true power of a Wizard Saint." Jose said as he extended his right hand to the side.
Some shades were generated around Jose's right hand and circle around it in a spiral motion. Then a bright ball of dark energy is formed on his hand.
"Ha ha ha, take this you damn brat! Dead Wave!" Jose yelled as he shot the darkness energy on his right hand.
Ben saw the attack coming after he was attacked by the jellyfish shade. He can feel the spell's power and knew he needed to use a strong spell to counter it. But he didn't have time to do anything about now because the jellyfish kept disturbing him.
Without any choice, Ben can only cross his hands in front of him to protect himself from the incoming attack. He was pushed back, but he tried to hold his ground. Fortunately, he is in Light Mode, so his body is protected by a layer of magic.
But that wasn't enough to fully block Jose's Dead Wave. Ben was quickly pushed back until he reached the end of Phantom's base. He was pushed out of the base and the river is right below him now.
BOOM*
The Dead Wave exploded right after Ben left the base. It was a very strong explosion that did a lot of damage to him because he doesn't have any protective clothing on. He was flung into the river below at high speed and dived into it.
"HA HA HA, DRINK THAT RIVER WATER, BRAT!" Jose laughed manically.
Jose laughed like a maniac, but then he stopped laughing when fog started to appear around him.
"Wait! It's not fog, it's steam." Jose realized what it actually was.
He walked to the end of the base and looked down at the river. The river water is boiling and steam was generated from it. All mages around the river also see the boiling water and there's a very bright red light at the bottom.
Suddenly, a big pillar of golden energy came out of the river. It moved towards Jose who dodged it in the nick of time. But it hit Phantom's base and destroyed a large portion of it.
The river water around the pillar disappeared and a hole was in it's place. Everyone then saw a shadow flash up from the hole before the water filled the hole and closed it. The shadow appeared on Phantom's base, it was Ben.
Previously, he fired a strong solar energy attack from his hands to open the water while still aiming for Jose with his magic sense. Then he used his Gravity Pull on Phantom's base to pull himself up.
"Damn, I almost lost my breath. Thankfully, I could keep calm in that situation." Ben said, breathing hastily.
His body was covered in large bruises and his left eye was sealed shut. That Dead Wave is really deadly and Ben was certain he couldn't withstand it if he wasn't in Light Mode. A Wizard Saint's power is no laughing matter.
"So you survived, huh? That's very impressive. But you're in bad shape now, so this seems to be the end for you. You are very low on magic power." Jose said smugly.
Ben grinned when he heard Jose's words.
"The end for me? That's not up to you to decide." He said.
After he said that, Ben sucked up sunlight. Jose's eyes widened after he saw that. The old man had forgotten that Ben was a Dragon Slayer and can eat his element.
"Thanks for the meal." Ben said with a grin.
"Tch, troublesome brat." Jose muttered.
