Roubaul informed the two that the legal guilds have planned to start confronting the Balam Alliance. They will destroy a large portion, especially the one under the Oracion Seis's control. But they can't do it alone, otherwise they would be destroyed, so they formed their own alliance.
"An alliance of legal guilds?" A surprised Ben asked.
"That's right. We're allying ourselves with Fairy Tail, Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus to destroy the Balam Alliance." Roubaul nodded.
"Ooh, 3 big magic guilds, that's great. But won't the Balam Alliance target us later because we are just a small guild?" Ben asked.
"Don't worry, the other 3 will make sure that doesn't happen." Roubaul reassured him.
Ben was still skeptical about it, but he didn't say anything and just let Roubaul speak.
"This job will begin tomorrow, so prepare yourself. You will meet the other mages in the villa owned by the guild master of Blue Pegasus." Roubaul explained as he handed a map to Ben.
Ben took it and noticed that the villa isn't far away from the forest. They could reach it in a few minutes by car.
"Alright, let's prepare our stuff." Ben told the girls.
They nod and leave the guild hall to prepare their belongings. Then the girls spent the remainder of the day resting while Ben trained. He didn't need to rest that much and will still be in his best shape tomorrow.
The next day, they are getting ready to leave for the meeting. But then Roubaul suddenly called for Ben to meet him in private. The meeting time is close so the girls finally go there first on foot.
"What's wrong with you, Gramps? We are about to have a meeting with the other guilds and you suddenly called me. Why didn't you do it this morning or last night?" Ben asked grumpily.
"Sorry, I needed to muster up my courage and have just gathered it." Roubaul said with a sad tone.
"Courage?" Ben asked with a strange expression. He had a bad feeling about this.
"Ben-boy, I want to tell you something. Please don't interrupt me." Roubaul said.
Ben raised an eyebrow in confusion, but he still nodded.
"Remember Nirvana and the Nirvits? I told you that I and the villagers are the Nirvits' descendants. That was a lie, we are not the Nirvits' descendants, we are them, the Nirvits. We are the ones who made Nirvana. I am the one who made Nirvana." Roubaul explained seriously.
Ben's eyes widen in surprise before looking at Roubaul strangely. He wanted to say something but Roubaul spoke first.
"I know you won't believe it so easily, so let me explain everything to you first." Roubaul stated.
Ben nodded and allowed the old man to continue speaking. Roubaul then told him about Nirvana and the Nirvits real past which is what Ben learned in the Magic Library.
"I was the only survivor but in the end, I also died. But then I continued living on as a spirit as if I am not allowed to die to atone for my people's sin. I sealed Nirvana and watched over it in the abandoned village. I lived in solitude until one day, a boy with blue hair came to me with a little girl in his arms. That was Wendy." Roubaul explained.
The boy asked him to take care of Wendy and Roubaul eventually agreed to do so. But then Wendy became worried and searched for the boy. The boy told her that he will take her to a guild so she thought that this is a guild.
To avoid making her sad, Roubaul then used his magic to create an illusion. He created a guild with his Illusion Magic. It made Wendy happy and a few days later, Ben arrived and also became a member of this illusion guild.
Ben's eyes widened and he trembled really hard as Roubaul explained everything. He wanted to say Roubaul was lying to him, but the old man suddenly made everyone in the village disappear and reappear to verify his claims.
Roubaul's Illusion Magic was so powerful it became reality. Everyone here is an illusion, but they have real bodies and real personalities. All of them are the Nirvit people that lived 400 years ago and created Nirvana.
That explanation suddenly connects everything in Ben's mind. He always had some strange feeling about the guild and a few other things here. But he always ignored it and assumed he was overthinking the situation.
Now, everything had been clarified by Roubaul's explanation. The only real living beings are him and his sisters. Tears flowed down his eyes as he thought about everything over the last 7 years.
"Is everything a lie?" Ben asked with a shaky voice.
"No. I can assure you that I really care for you and love you all. That's why it was very difficult for me to reveal the truth, but I know I need to do it. I don't want to continue lying to you." Roubaul said as tears flowed down his eyes as well.
"Why? Why are you telling me this now?" Ben asked with tears flowing from his eyes.
"Because I believe in you. I believe you can destroy Nirvana which is now being targeted by the Oracion Seis. After Nirvana is destroyed, I can finally leave this world. So I need to reveal everything to you because I believe you are ready to find out." Roubaul said while smiling warmly.
"Can't you just stay with us a little bit longer?" Ben begged. It was hard for him to accept all of this.
"I'm sorry." Roubaul apologized sadly.
Ben instantly understood it. Roubaul is tired because he had waited for 400 years. That's a very long time to wait and now his chance to rest will come.
"But what about the girls? They still need you." Ben said, still with a sad tone.
Roubaul smiled warmly.
"They already have you. Because you are here I can think of leaving this world peacefully. With you here, I don't need to worry about the girls because I know you will always be there for them. Now the only thing left for me to worry about is Nirvana. Even so, I'm sure you can also handle it." He said.
Ben looked down while gritting his teeth and clenching his fists. He thought of Roubaul as his grandfather, his parent in this world. He lost his parents in his old world and now he would lose his parent in this world.
But he couldn't even say goodbye to his biological parents before they died and he had a chance to do it now. So he didn't want to part with Roubaul without even saying goodbye. The inability to say goodbye to his parents and little brother would be one of his biggest regrets.
That's why Ben resolved to do whatever he could for Roubaul. If the old man's biggest wish was Nirvana's destruction, he would grant it. This was the only thing he could do to repay Roubaul's kindness towards him.
Ben calmed himself down and wiped the tears from his face. Then he controlled his breathing and stopped his trembling body. He stood up firmly and looked at Roubaul with a firm expression.
"Gramps, you spent the last 400 years waiting for Nirvana's destruction. Today, your long wait is over. I, your grandson will grant the destruction of Nirvana to you." Ben said firmly before leaving the guild hall with a strong resolve.
Roubaul's eyes widened when Ben said 'grandson'. But then he smiled warmly.
"I'll leave it to you." He said.
